Sealodge A6 is a corner unit that offers guests breathtaking, unobstructed second floor oceanfront views from the living areas, lanai and bedroom. Wake up in a romantic ocean view bedroom that has louvered solid wood doors that glide shut to create a haven of privacy. Enjoy wooden floors throughout, upgraded kitchen appliances, comfortable furnishings and beautiful artwork from local Hawaiian artists. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen size bed, and 100% cotton linens and curtains throughout. There is an additional full sized bed in the living room area which also boasts an unobstructed ocean view. Full kitchen. Additional amenities include free wifi, cable television, washer and dryer. There is a pool and BBQ area (BYOB - Bring Your Own Briquettes).
Our Princeville vacation rentals at Sealodge Kauai are located at the end of a small quiet side road, with no through traffic, ending at a dramatic ocean bluff. For guests who are comfortable with a ten minute hike, a short but rugged private trail leads you from the unit to Sealodge Beach, where guests may enjoy all that Northshore Kauai beaches have to offer: swimming, sunning, beach combing, and snorkeling, Shopping and dining are conveniently close, with the Princeville shopping center and Foodland grocery store just a mile and a half away. The charming town of Hanalei and the world famous Hanalei beaches are a brief ten minute drive from the condo. Sealodge is comfortable, quiet, island casual and perfect for guests who wish to explore the Northshore and its unparalleled natural wonders.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, but has overhead fans and invigorating cross-breezes from screened windows.
This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.
You may park your rental car in the Sealodge parking lot immediate adjacent to your unit, after printing the parking permit emailed to you prior to arrival.
This home has the most reliable internet available in the Princeville area, however the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

The location and view from this property is fantastic. It's bluffs location makes the best of the ocean view and the prevailing winds. Plan on driving to better beach access. The trail to the beach is a bit treacherous. The condo was clean and well maintained. The kitchen and it's equipment is basic but functional. One suggestion to improve the litchen is to properly install the dishwasher. During our stay, it had not been secured to the counter. Pulling out a loaded drawer tipped the entire machine forward threatening to dump its contents onto the kitchen floor. Asode from that suggestion, it was a joy to spend time on the lanai and wake to the sights and sounds of the ocean.

We enjoyed the rental unit at Sealodge, was exactly as decribed.The only things we missed was seating for 3 at the balcony and then we found the kitchen utilities a bit to limited and in a very poor condition.

My girlfriend and I absolutely fell in love with this place. The view we had from the bedroom waking up in the morning was stunning. The bed was comfortable, and the way the unit is positioned with all the windows open there is an amazing draft that comes through the whole unit. The location in Princeville is perfect, and it's so quiet and peaceful. While the price is certainly not cheap, I would consider it a value as compared to other places in Princeville based on the views alone and how nice the interior of the unit is. When we return to Kauai, we decided that we will want to stay here in this exact same unit again. So much so we took one of the fridge magnet with the company contact to rent from them directly. Also, communication was very good and when a small issue came up a quick call got it resolved within the hour.

Pros:
The unit was right on the ocean, with the January waves crashing right outside the bedroom windows- really, really lovely.
All the big windows were clean, giving us great views.
Nice hand sewn linens, plenty of towels/beach towels.
Great shower.
Condo complex was super with a rocky path down to the beach, nice neighbors, happy staff.
Cons:
Our check-in (late flight delayed) after 10 PM was met with a lock that, after we retrieved the key from lockbox, refused to turn to let us in. Contacted property manager though, and someone was there within 20-30 minutes, late Sat night, to replace the lock. Pretty amazing!
Place was kinda worn - pans were warped and there wasn't even salt in the kitchen (there was cleaning supplies, and coffee filters). I re-cleaned all the dishes/cups/silverware before use.
Bedside lamp in bedroom needed a *good* cleaning or a new shade.
Would we go back? Absolutely. The crashing of those waves outside was incredible.

This condo was great and had everything we needed. The views of the ocean and beautiful green grounds could be seen from all windows and the ocean breezes were awesome. We cooked some at the condo and had some meals out. Restaurants are understaffed and sometimes close on short notice so have your patience hat on. We saw all parts of Kauai and Princeville was the most beautiful. Condo had two camp style beach chairs and two umbrellas to haul to the beach. Kitchen did not have anything like salt and pepper due to Covid so buy these things at the store. Bed was very comfortable. Would book there again in the future. Fabulous trip.
