The resort is centrally located directly on Kahana Bay and includes such amenities as oceanside BBQ area, renovated heated pool and fitness center. There are three elevators to access all rooms above the first floor.
In addition, there are restaurants in very short walking distance, including, Dollies Pizza, China Boat, Miso Phat sushi, McDonalds and Maui Brewing Company noted for its national award winning beers.
Nearby to the south, is Kaanapali with its beautiful beaches and golf courses. A short distance north is Napili Beach and upscale Kapalua, with its fine dining and PGA quality golf courses.

What makes this Condo unique
We fell in love with Maui several years ago, and often celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We always wanted to buy a condo, but wanted an ocean view and central air conditioning, so we were delighted to find the Royal Kahana Resort. With our bedroom on the ocean side, we can hear the restful sounds of ocean surf while falling asleep. Having our own washer and dryer is an added benefit. *Beach information
*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.
This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Our guests' safety is of the utmost concern for us. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Listing accurate, beautiful view. It was awesome that some dishwasher pods and laundry soap were left for us. Couch bed wasn’t super comfortable but wasn’t horrible either. Plenty of blankets and pillows left in the closet. Beach stuff wasn’t bad either.

We loved this location on the west side of Maui. It was a great spot for us to explore the beaches up north, like Napili and DT Fleming. It was also just a short drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina for any excursions on the West side. It was also nice to have a few walkable places to grab coffee and food. We loved Maui Brewing, Dollie's, and Hawaiian Village Coffee. We could tell the property was well maintained as we saw people tending to the grills and pool each morning. The condo itself was a perfect fit for our family of 4. The pull out sofa was larger than many others we have used in the past. Our 10 and 12 year old kids slept comfortably. I also enjoyed that the bathroom vanity was separate from the toilet and shower, so multiple people could be getting ready. The kitchen had great appliances for those few meals we ate at the condo. And the best was, of course, the view! We spotted several whales directly from the lanai. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

My wife and I had a fabulous 5 night stay at the Royal Kahana. Dan and Shelly's unit is nicely appointed, comfy bed and pillow variety, beautiful kitchen, awesome hair dryer, and the property itself is well maintained, simple but with ample amenities for a relaxing stay. Whale watching from the lanai was the highlight of every morning and evening and the sunsets were picture perfect every night. The AC was out of commission due to the recent severe storms, which had me worried (two perimenopausal women--yikes!) but my fears were unfounded as the unit was designed perfectly to circulate the glorious trade winds between the windows and the fans. Almost got too cold at times! Another perfect stay on the island. Thanks so much!

The property is very nice and it is located in an awesome place. It is just incredible to sleep nights with the ocean sounds so close to you. There are lots of nice places to go in 10-15 minutes drive radius. Going south you reach fancy beaches and hotels/restaurants, going north you can find wild nature and beautiful spots. The apartment itself is nice, well equipped and has great appliances.

Our stay at the Royal Kahana was great! Shelly and Dan were excellent hosts and very easy to work with. They provided us with lots of useful information and let us know what to expect well before our scheduled arrival. The building overall is great. The staff is friendly, parking is easy, and the unit was even better than we had expected! It was well stocked with everything we needed, including some beach gear. The location was great, and made it easy to visit other parts of the island. We had amazing views of the sunset, both from the comfort of the lanai and down by the pool. The pool area is great and we enjoyed several afternoon swims after being out and about during the day. I would definitely stay again!

This condo was just as posted and pictured. Easy access to the unit when arriving. The condo was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen which was wonderful. Loved sitting on the lanai watching the beautiful Maui sunsets.

The Royal Kahana is a bit older property as I have stayed here before. But this unit had all the amenities that others may not. Kept in really nice condition, with A/C, washer/dryer, beach accessories including snorkels. It just felt like this unit accomodated all the travellers needs. Great unit!
