What a wonderful slice of paradise. We were very thankful for beautiful accommodations, plentiful included amenities both from the resort and within the unit itself and for the excellent location. Of course after the fires we were concerned about being so close to the areas affected (we didn't want to take resources or space from those who needed it) but we also were happy to be able to visit locally-owned businesses and get to know the amazing and strong people who live here. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Great place. Very clean. Parking is a bit tricky. Couple times had to wait 30 minutes to get my car from the valet. Have no other choice than to valet since parking garage is always full. Bare bones staff right now at the Honua Kai. All of that is understandable given the circumstances. Just something to keep in mind if you book in the near future.

Honua Kai 508 was prefect for our family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). We used the den as a second bedroom for the kids freeing up the living room for every day use. The unit is well equipped with everything you need from beach equipment to cooking utensils. The lanai has a view of the ocean but our favorite part was the spectacular view of Maui's terrain and volcano behind. Location was excellent on West Maui, close to shopping and activities.

The pictures of the view from the lanai and the pools do not do this place justice. Just amazing! Family of 5 with three teens had plenty of space to spread out and come together as needed. The resort itself is not overcrowded and you can watch a beautiful sunset from the beach every night. With Duke’s on property you can swim and listen to live music while the sky changes color. Also, close to many other beaches and food opportunities if you can pull yourself away from the resort.

The condo is just the right size for our family of 5 and we love having the ability to cook our own meals and do laundry during the week. Love the property. Room was nice and had everything needed for the pool and beach outings. Mattresses could be replaced. Not the most comfortable. Resort spa was disappointing. Very expensive. No robes provided or even towels to shower afterwards. No spa atmosphere for relaxing before or after, but for the price you’d expect the whole spa experience.

HUGE shout out to Courtney who ai had the pleasure of dealing with and she answered all my questions and many that didn’t even apply to her but yet she ALWAYS was willing to help, I can not say enough good things about her, the property and Hulahideaway.Only thing I would suggest for the condo is wash cloths for dishes and or a scrub brush! But super minor!!

The condo was wonderful— had every amenity you’d need and was perfect for our family of 4. Loved all the sand toys, boogy boards, and beach items. Also had a pack and play and booster seat which was very helpful and lightened the load for traveling.
We had a delay in our travel arrangements and the property managers were super responsive and helpful.
Couldn’t recommend more highly. Looking forward to going back!

The place was as described in the descriptions. Pretty cozy for family of 4. We get both mountain and ocean views from the balcony. Location is conveniently near the food truck area so we can walk over for food without having to drive out. We tried to follow the instructions from the host as much as possible.

The room was very large with a queen bed and 2 fold out couches. Washer worked well but the dryer had some issues getting our clothes dry. Also if you are traveling with small mobile children be sure to block off the kitchen area because the glass plates are on the bottom shelf. Other than that the place was decent and my kids enjoyed the proximity to the beach and pools.

This condo is amazing. It is furnished and decorated beautifully and is very modern and clean. The den is a great added bonus for work as is the patio/balcony. The pools and beach are perfect for both adults and kids. The property does have an odor at night that makes sitting outside a bit difficult - but has nothing to do with this unit in particular. Overall, a great place to stay in Maui!

My family of four had an amazing time staying at this condo. It was super clean and in a great location. My young daughter loved using the den as her own room. The balcony had great views of the mountains. I also liked that balcony never seemed to be in the full sun, so it was always comfortable to hang out on, and the condo would stay nice and cool.

Pros: Beautiful, clean space. Great pool area on the beach with food options poolside. Bathroom palatial with a great shower. Unit was a very nice spot to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Communicate was very quick & helpful.
Cons: ice maker very noisy and woke us up during the night. Can be difficult to find parking in the garage at night.

We absolutely loved this condo! I will stay in this suite again and again! The views were spectacular and there was everything we needed in the suite. Jill was great to communicate with anytime I needed absolutely anything!
The only thing I can recommend for this place is to upgrade the playpen but again that’s an extra which I am still thankful to have had. It was just extremely uncomfortable for the baby no padding and you can feel all the bars, so she slept with us many nights but that’s ok again that’s a great extra!

Loved the 508 at Honua Kai! Everything was immaculate. The den/half bedroom was great with 2 teens. They each got their own sofa bed, and enough room for unpacking. Large balcony with view of ocean and mountains. Perfect Maui sunrise and sunset. Check-in was easy and organized. Underground parking was nice too. There were even beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels to use. Overall, a 5 out of 5 from us. Will definitely be back!!

We stayed for 6 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The location was great, convenient to Lahaina Town. The set up of the room was perfect for our family, our young sons shared the pull out bed and slept like rocks every night! The pools were great, though you do have to be strategic about getting chairs sometimes. My only complaint was the dryer took forever and a lot of babysitting to dry clothes. We would absolutely stay here again, we had an amazing time in Maui.

We had 9 families stay at or near the resort. The kids and teenagers had a blast, and we had major get togethers for family meals. We all found the resort clean, accommodating, and nearby many destinations. All kitchen needs are well stocked, lots and lots of towels are available, and it is stocked with beach chairs and floaties for he little ones. Only flaw was gate entrance was not working on side street entrance, and a couple nights parking lot was FULL. Both items are beyond your control. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations.

This was a wonderful, fifth floor unit with plenty of space. Jill was fabulous to work with and close by if needed. The unit has beach chairs, boogie boards, kids sand toys...pretty much everything you need. The sun shines on this unit's lanai all day and you have views of the ocean and the morning sunrise. Just lovely. Do not hesitate to book this unit.
The Honua Kai Resort has plenty of pools and beach access. The grounds are lovely. There is plenty of space to throw a frisbee or just run around. You can find space if you want quiet or be in the action.

We spent a great week in Maui at Honua Kai. Unit 508 met all of our needs and made for a comfortable stay. The grounds of the resort were very nice and our small children had a blast in the pools and on the water slide - it made for an easy alternative when you were beached-out. The beach gear in the unit such as the chairs, beach bag, cooler, snorkeling gear and kids' toys made for great convenience. The den is a great alternative to having a two bedroom especially for kids sleeping on the pull out couches. This was our first VRBO experience, and Jill clearly takes pride in being a great host - very organized and available if you need something. Overall, our experience lived up to the high expectations set by the other reviewers.

My wife and I spent 5 glorious nights in this wonderful unit, joined by our 3 adult children for the final night. It was our first trip to Maui, but definitely won't be our last and we would not hesitate for a moment to stay in this unit again. The Den gives you the little added space that is really nice to have, though unnecessary if there are just two of you as the remainder of the unit, with the additional square footage of the lanai provide more than enough room to roam! And the bathroom alone is bigger than a lot of bedrooms I've seen in other rental properties!
The unit is well stocked with all of the essentials for cooking and preparing meals. Additionally, everything you need for enjoying the beach and ocean, including snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrella, a cooler, toys etc. etc. are provided as well. Even though the listing notes that these things are included, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the items supplied. I snorkeled on my own a couple of times right in front of the resort and then my son and I swam alongside a couple of sea turtles down the beach a little bit on the final day before departing for the Big Island. And make sure to utilize the beach chairs to watch those amazing sunsets!
The Honua Kai resort is stunning and the pool area at the Konea Tower itself is simply outstanding. There are plenty of quiet areas for kicking back and soaking up the sun as well as more active areas, including a water slide, for those that like to play a bit while poolside. The grounds are exquisitely landscaped and well maintained. Attention to detail is evident throughout the resort.
Staff at the resort are friendly and though we didn't utilize the valet services, they met you with a smile and a big "Aloha" every time you walked in and out of the front door. In fact all of the staff we encountered were very friendly and the concierge service was happy to make restaurant recommendations for us. If you want a great meal in a wonderful setting, make your way to Frida's Mexican restaurant on Front Street in Lahaina. Make sure to try the poached calamari!
The rental process was seamless and we received all the instructions well in advance of our arrival. There was a small hiccup when we arrived, but Jill met us in the lobby with our keys and in the end that turned out better as it was a pleasure to meet her in person. Any questions we had in advance, or during our stay were answered immediately.

Just returned from our six night stay at Honua Kai Resort, Konea Tower #508. Amazing vacation! The Property is absolutely beautiful; the pictures and description provided online are right on track. The decor is beautiful with all the amenities you will need during your stay and more. Very clean, plenty of towels, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrellas, sand toys are all extras provided. Customer service was outstanding; Jill was very responsive to our questions prior to and during our stay. She provided recommendations for off the beaten path eating establishments, weather forecasts, and procedures for gaining access to the property that proved seamless. There are multiple pools on the premise, Dukes for dining or cocktails, and quick access to a beautiful beach that allowed beautiful sunrise/sunset walks each day.
The property is close to many attractions with a grocery store and restaurants right across the street. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Condo was excellent. Fit our family of five and at a good price. Was clean and came well stocked with paper towels, soap and other kitchen needs as well as chairs and beach gear. Great view of both Maui West mountains and the ocean from the balcony. We had several dinners out there with the sounds of the ocean in the background. Only regret was having to leave.
Jill was great as well. Always prompt to respond to questions. We even had the hair dryer die on us and she rushed a replacement over.
We'd definitely stay here again. Hopefully soon.

Our ocean/resort view studio was perfect for our family of 4. We opted for the studio to have the lunai facing the ocean. We ate all of our meals outside and the studio was more spacious than one we previously stayed in. The unit was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for our stay there and the beach! My family and I have stayed at this resort in various condos for the past four years. Jill's condo is by far the best value. The check in process was quick and easy. The views of mountains and ocean were amazing. One bedroom with a den worked perfectly for my family and our little girl. She finally had her own space and we had our own room for the same price I use to pay for the ocean view studio. The condo was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. We have stayed at Honua Kai several times and the condo's are nice but this one? Well this one is special! It starts with the reservations via Jill, who is extraordinary! ...and just keeps getting bette. The place is cute, I mean cozy I wanna live here cute and stocked perfectly! The bed and pillows are divine which is such a treat when staying out of town. Although we didn't use the amenities like boogy boards, coolers and snorkel gear...it's all there plus a few more things. We had our fridge stocked before we arrived by Demmings Delivery and Jill worked with them, allowing access prior to our arrival. Imagine opening the door to this super cute place with all your food and beverages already there. Win Wine! :) Can't wait to go back. Thank you Jill. The owners are soooo lucky to have you!l Need the name of those pillows please....must have them!
