Neighborhood is right off the main road and is super easy to find. Two available parking lots both conveniently located near the unit and we'll lit at night. The room is small but perfect for just two people looking for a quick stay. There is no AC but there are two floor fans and a nice cross breeze. We visited in September and we were comfortable the whole time. Kauai is all about being outside and this location was perfect for the excursions we had planned. I would for sure rent this space again in future visits!

The property and Princeville area is really beautiful and was a great home base for the duration of our trip. The place is a little small for three people but we definitely made it work. Robyn was very responsive whenever we had a question which was appreciated. I also liked that she had the beach chairs which proved to be very handy for us. Overall I would recommend.

Really nice location. Close to tunnels beach, the lighthouse, queen bath and many other area. However, a bit far from Napali coast and Waimea Caynon.

We have stayed for couple of nights while exploring beaches on north side of island. The location of Princeville, HI is nice to walk, enjoy atmosphere and farmers market on Saturdays. We were not able to find beach access to Sealodge beach. To view sunset requires serious walk of 25 minutes from property as parking is not available near sunset lookout point.
Room itself is very basic only good for 2 guests. I cannot imagine more than 2 guests sharing the room. Dinnerware, silverware, blender and toater provided along with fridge and microwave and it was useful. Patio was good with privacy screens. We have enjoyed the beach chairs and ice chest provided by host. There are also surf boards and beach umbrella available.
Host has tried the best to provide useful stuff to accommodate guest. Even provided pedestal fans to cool off as there is no AC. Cannot leave window or patio door open as it is facing to high traffic area. It is just not enough room. So pack wisely if booking this room. For food, I would suggest to head towards Hanalei as there is not enough room to prepare food, but can make smoothies with fresh fruits from farmers market and store and warmup food, and enjoy meal in patio.
My only request to host to invest in better privacy curtains as both window and patio door are facing to high traffic area.

We enjoyed the patio area and the coolers and boogie boards.
The place needs a little hominess with pictures on the walls. The key on the door was very touchy and hard to open. At least 1 coffee package for each day we stayed would have been nice.

We like the neighborhood of Princeville, and this studio is located in the center, which is close to everywhere. We had to park further away where it doesn't have a reserved sign, but we had a permit so not sure if the parking is assigned or not. This should be listed clearly in the instruction. Overall, it is a nice place for a couple who don't cook and just want a clean place to stay.

We like the neighborhood of Princeville, and this studio is located in the center, which is close to everywhere. Great location, wish there was air conditioning, but the two fans provided were a blessing. Shower was nice, no stove, but microwave wired well, fridge could be colder, needs to be defrosted. Would recommend!

The property is big with a nice balcony and enough place for parking at a good location. There are some beach chairs and body boards available. Also the bed is very comfortable and there is a big shower in the bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this place.

We came in late, and were oh-so-grateful for such a simple check in process. Robyn gave us all the information we needed in advance and she was very prompt to respond with any questions that we had.
The accommodations were clean fresh and updated. The bed was comfortable and so were the chairs. Loved the big shower. Internet worked great. The hot tub/pool/grilling area was easy to access and clean.
It was very quiet and comfortable. We feel the value we received was excellent.

This is the perfect studio rental that has everything you need for your trip. It is in a super safe area and it’s very cozy. I came to Kauai alone and was worried that I would feel unsafe being by myself but no, this place is great. It’s secluded and it’s illegal for anyone to park in the premises without a permit. There are a lot of families and children that live in this area which makes you feel at ease. The studio was very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. Most comfortable pillows ever haha. If you are wondering about temperature during this time of month, it was warm, tropical storms for me the whole time. Off and on. The studio stayed a cool temperature and I was comfortable at night. The only thing that I would change about this studio is that there isn’t a table inside to eat at. There are chairs but no table. It would’ve been really helpful to have one to eat meals and such. Overall 10/10 place to stay. You won’t be disappointed!

We mostly wanted a place to sleep since we were out every day exploring the island, and this was perfect for us! The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen area had everything we needed for simple food prep (we didn't want to do major cooking). We loved the location as it's close to many beaches and Hanalei. The pool/hot tub area was also great!

Very clean accommodation, great location to access all the fun activities in the north shore of Kauai. Condo a bit hard to find in the dark, property is fairly crowded with limited privacy. Listing did not mention there was no air conditioning, but fans helped to cool the room. Overall a nice place to stay especially if you are out and about most of the time

Overall, our stay was okay. The property was clean except for a few small things, location was good, and the property was quiet. However, parking, communication, and safety weren’t acceptable.
Parking: The host does not pay for an assigned parking spot making it difficult to find parking. Street parking is illegal, so there’s no alternative to the complex lots and we had to fight for parking every night. 2 nights we had to park illegally then go outside periodically to check if anyone had left an unreserved spot so we could move our car. On the final night, we never found legal parking and spent the night worried about being ticketed or towed.
Safety: The main entry door is just a regular door lock (no deadbolt), which did not make me feel secure. Even worse, there is a back sliding door that didn’t lock at all, so we slept 3-4 nights with an unlocked door. Maybe Hawaii is safe, but I don’t really care; I didn’t feel safe.
Communication: I’d call communication with our host completely unhelpful; we only really heard from her when she needed something, like the final payment and access to the room to supposedly fix the internet. We needed to change our booking to one day less several months out from our trip because due to Covid, we couldn’t find a rental car the day we arrived. I asked the host if she could reduce our stay by a day and never heard back. Finally, I just cancelled the booking and rebooked the appropriate days. I was annoyed but not enough to book a different rental. We arrived and got a message from our host asking if a property manager could come in to check something with the router. We told her that was fine, but we’d really prefer someone come the next day as we had already left for the day and hadn’t put away any of our valuables. I also took this time to ask if she could have the property manager fix the back door. I never heard another thing from her, so, we spent the rest of the trip worrying about the backdoor being unlocked and wondering if someone would enter our room since we hadn’t heard one way or the other.
Check-in: This was just a series of small, negative experiences for us. Parking was a huge unexpected ordeal, and finding the room in the dark was another. Then walking in and finding a door that wouldn’t lock and dead bird on back porch was icing on the cake. Over the course of our 3-4 night stay, we had 2 dead birds left on the back porch. Very strange and startling.

Disappointed not being able to watch cable TV or matter of fact any TV at all until the night before we were leaving.
We wished the owner/property management would have notified us that someone was entering on the property again without notice to work on TV. Upon returning we noticed the cable box was missing that's when I realized I had all personal things out, I would’ve liked to tidied up if I knew someone was entering the property.
It was a real bummer that we were unable to use the pool, hot tub, BBQ as the lock was changed; (the key didn't match the single key cylindar), the owner said there were two pool locks. Eah ... we gave up.
I’ll leave it to you on what you’re looking for on a VRBO; had we known we probably would have chosen something else. Btw ..we overlooked the need for the ammedity AC(there is none) during the hotest month of September.
To top it off the governor of Hawaii tells us not to come out and travel but yet the owner pretty much made us feel bad that she’s a single mom and she needs the money so we couldn’t get out of canceling without losing any money. This VRBO is Not recommended.

Loved staying in princeville! This condo serves as what we were looking for- a place to sleep and shower between playing on the island. I am a bit of a clean freak so I was displeased to find hair in the shower, the toilet smelled of urine (my husband doesn’t stand up so it wasn’t us) and the floors had some hair and dirt. We had to ask halfway through the stay for linens as we were given three beach towels and two rolls of toilet paper, which we did not find to be enough for a week long stay. Perhaps a mid-week linen delivery can be a new standard? The place does need some walk in rugs, too, as we used towels to reduce sand and mud in the condo.
We did utilize the griddle and coffee maker quite a bit during our stay. We had to sit outside anytime we ate as there’s no where inside to sit comfortably and eat or drink coffee, but that’s no problem for us since it’s a vacation in Hawaii! Princeville is so safe, beautiful, and the condo complex has quite a few natives that were great to have around.

The minute we walked in, I knew I was not staying here. The place was filthy, bed was unmade, bathroom was disgusting, and there was no toilet paper. We had checked in late at night, had been exploring all day. I messaged Robyn and she quickly replied. The cleaning service never came. She called and offered a different place, but I still had to pay for it. At this point, I was exhausted, angry, and just wanted to shower so we chose to stay elsewhere. I didn’t want to take the chance of another disappointment. The only place was the Westin so we had the pay a pretty penny.

This studio was perfect for our stay on the North Shore of Kaui. It was about a 5-10 drive to stores, restaurants, and many hike-to beaches like Queens Bath, about 15-20 to Hanalei Bay, and 30-40 to the Haena State Park. It is a lovely renovated studio with a small kitchenette (including a good-sized fridge!) in a very quiet part of Princeville - felt a bit residential. It was clean and very comfortable (especially after backpacking the Kalaulau Trail!).
The best part though was the host, Robyn. She really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. When we first got to the studio, it was a little stuffy and hot (there is no AC in this studio), and we were a little worried because we are both pretty sensitive sleepers. So I messaged Robyn to see if there was an additional fan to help cool the place off, but she replied that there was only one. Then, when we got ready for the beach the next day, we noticed there was no cooler as was stated in the listing. I let Robyn know it was missing and what did we come home to that evening? A brand new cooler AND a fan!
Would absolutely stay here again!
A side note for those worried about no AC as we were: It is a small unit with massive windows and a sliding door. Between the two fans and keeping the windows open, we were very comfortable! It is a quiet community, so we did not have a problem with noise either.
