Last minute booking at honua kai. Nice place overall. Room was as described. Patio had partial view of ocean. Nice comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Didnt use kitchen but seemed good. Convenient to have laundry if needed. Extras were appreciated- snorkel gear, chairs and boogie board!

We had the best time at this condo!
It was clean, perfect location and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation in Maui! You can snorkel with sea turtles right in front of the house too. Dukes on site was amazing and the service was even better. We can’t wait to come back!

Our trip to Maui was everything we every dreamed of. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The Condo was exactly as described and the owner was wonderful in communicating and making sure we were taken care of. I would recommend 10/10 to anyone coming for a visit.

Our family had an amazing time at the Honua Kai resort in Maui. This condo was located in a fantastic spot with an amazing view.
All the things we would expect were there as well as some lovely additional items that made our beach days that much more enjoyable.
We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in Kaanapali area.

All the things we would expect were there as well as some lovely additional items that made our beach days that much more enjoyable.

Honua Kai resort has pretty much everything you need right on the beach. So we spent more time hanging out there than what we have traditionally done on trips to HI. Property is well kept with a plethora of activities from swimming at the multiple pools/slide to snorkeling at the beach (there are turtles there!). The owner of this unit takes very good care of it and is very responsive. We had a sink back up in the kitchen and it was fixed within a couple of hours! A great host and would definitely stay there again.

I spent months researching my trip to Maui, I was originally going to stay at a 5 star hotel/resort. I found this listing and cancelled my hotel and booked this condo. I was extremely satisfied with my decision!! The condo was large, beautiful, and had all the amenities that we needed. The resort has gorgeous grounds, pools, and beach. We checked out multiple other facilities while on island and continued to say Honua Kai was much better. You will not be disappointed staying here!!

We have stayed at Honua Kai almost every year for the past ten years and we love the location and the property and this is the first time I have not rated the unit a full five stars on all categories. This unit has a good view. The unit itself had a terrible smell when we arrived and I had to run the dishwasher and garbage disposal to get rid of it. We took our shoes off as requested and after walking around for about 30 minutes our feet were filthy. I let the owner know and she had the floor cleaned the next day. The walls had moldy spots in the bathroom and the couch smelled musty, and the microwave was not clean. I realize it's humid in Hawaii, but we've never previously experienced these issues.

We stayed here for 10 days and to say this place was absolutely fantastic is an understatement! The view from the lanai was terrific (spent most mornings and evenings on it) and the proximity to the beach and pools was excellent. The apartment was clean and well appointed.
We would leave the unit and be on the beach in less than 3 minutes. The unit has everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach.
When you arrive you are given a wrist band that acts as a key to the unit and common areas (much nicer than always worrying 'what did I do with the key?) as well as access to towel dispensing stations. The parking was easy and convenient with a pass that opens the garage, you just leave in the drop box at the end of your stay.
The host was wonderful and very responsive through the entire process (from booking, to arriving to departing). As a traveler, I think we can all agree this is a very important part of the process.
We would come back in a heartbeat!

Amazing resort! Beautiful condo resort on the ocean. We enjoyed the pools and the 1 bedroom condo we stayed in was very nice. We enjoyed dining at Duke's several times for breakfast and dinner.

Beautiful place to stay in a great location for a great price compared to renting through the resort. Well stocked kitchen and nice to have laundry in the room. Included beach chairs as well in the unit which was nice not having to rent those. Overall a great place to stay with really nice views on the quiet side of the resort.

Our condo was awesome! Lovely views from the Lanai!! Great place for morning coffee and evening wine! Clean, nice accommodations. Had everything we needed for a week, or more. The condo itself was nicely furnished and very comfortable bed. Great communication with the host. The condo complex was very well maintained. Would definitely stay here again!

Aloha! The condo owner was super responsive when I reached out with a few questions. She replied within minutes! The condo was just as described. We were 4 people - 2 adults in the bedroom and 2 kids ages 9 and 11 in the pull out bed in living room. Great view of the ocean but it’s not ocean front.. it’s a side view but still amazing and as described. There were a couple of beach chairs available in the condo which was very convenient and a nice touch. The condo itself was clean. There were some things that could be updated but it’s important to keep in mind it’s not a hotel but someone’s condo so it’s not brand new and perfect. A loose door handle on the shower and some light staining on the furniture . Nothing offensive though …and I tend to be picky! I thought it was a perfect size for the 4 of us, well maintained, comfortable and convenient to cook some meals in the room. It was a great location and beautiful resort. The beach behind the hotel was a but rocky but still great and a short walk to more beaches. My only gripe was a lack of chairs at the pool but we could bring the beach chairs down. Overall a wonderful stay and I would recommend! Thank you Farzie for being a wonderful host. Mahalo.

The Honua Kai is always a great place to stay and our property manager was very accommodating to whatever was needed and the condo is very well kept. I recommend staying here for sure.
