Excellent location! Spacious with lots of kitchen utensils and cookware to choose from. Although it states mountain view, please note that you cannot see anything but the trees and flower bushes in front of your balcony which was a disappointment. Tons of towels. Our only complaint was that we had to purchase a $10 laundry card to find out that we had to load another $10 to the card to actually do laundry. There should not be a card to buy a plastic card. Other than that, we were very happy with our choice.

2 week stay with my adult daughter, the unit was well appointed with 2 double beds and a split bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with a basic pantry. We did appreciate the AC and the cable tv. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a bit lumpy. Some basic beach items would have been appreciated, we ended up buying a chair and snorkel (which we left behind) as well as a couple of insulated bags. We have stayed I’m in Poipu and Princeville before and found that Kapa’a’s central location made visiting the island easy.

Beautiful property that is well equiped with all the amenities needed for our 5 day stay. The beds were very comfortable along with a pull out bed on the couch. The Kitchen had everything you needed to cook something quick and had all the dishes needed for families. It was a very short 2-3 minute walk to the local marketplace along with souvenir shops. The front desk was very helpful if you had any questions. Short drive or walk to the nearest beach access, or other shopping centers.

We absolutely loved the location! It was close to everything we needed and we really enjoyed the bike path just down the road. Great supply of cooking items and towels.

I have stayed in Kauai a number of times and I like the convenience of Plantation Hale. The condo was fantastic and the layout was perfect for 1 or 2 people. The condo was clean and the furniture was relatively new. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom was away from any noise in the hall. Previous reviews talked about highway noise. There was some but it wasn’t so much that it distributed my sleep. The air conditioning units were quiet and worked well. I enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after big hikes on the island.

This condo on Garden Island property is extremely well kept inside & outside. The front desk employees are very friendly & helpful. The location is just perfect.Our condo, Plantation Hale B13 is just beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Plenty of bathroom towels, toiletries & swim towels. Extremely clean. Hugh bonus parking is included at no additional charge.The only disappointment is the balcony. As the bushes go all the way up to the roof, covering any view. You can only look straight up at the sky. We will most defiantly be staying here on our next trip to Kauai. The Coconut Marketplace next door is just a big bonus. With a grocery store with delicious meals. Really excellent fish sandwich. With really nice shops, several restaurants.

Use of fabreez and air freshner products was over powering and caused my family to have headaches and allergic reactions. All four of us had to stay in the living room as the bed room was over powering with glade plugin wall fresher and fabreez sprayed everywhere on linens and furniture. The bedroom was unusable so we all four had to sleep on floor and couch of living room for a week!, this was not what I had planned my vacation to be like and was an extreme hardship and health issue. I will not be staying here again.
Property was newly remodeled and updated. nice pullout couch. property manager did respond and provide clean sheets.

This unit is very tastefully decorated. It has a certain rare elegance that is very relaxing. It is on the second floor and away from the trafficked areas of the complex. It has a beautiful view over trimmed vegetation at the Sleeping Giant (Nouno). The only drawback of the location is highway noise, which the vegetation doesn't screen well.

The property is part of a larger resort/tourist area with a small shopping mall with restaurants just a minute walk away. If you are into a social holiday, this is a good spot.

The suite was clean upon arrival and check-in was easy. Laundry at Plantation Hale was great to have, as was the pool and hot tub though they were busy with kids most of the time. We thought the location was great with lots of restaurants and the general store close by. The beach is a short walk away which makes sunrise viewing really convenient, we wouldn't swim at that particular beach though. Also close to the waterfront pathway, great for running/walking. Would stay here again for sure,

This place was just what we needed. We were able to cook our own meals, enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains, and enjoy a beach within walking distance. The weather did not cooperate so we didn’t see much sun but the location was great for driving to the northern, southern, and western shores. I wish we could have spent a little more pool time but it was chilly. The hot tub was great.
There were a few things that I’m a stickler about cleaning but if a little dust doesn’t bother you it’s not a deal breaker. There is road noise because it overlooks the highway so be aware of that if you’re looking for quiet.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Good value for the price.

I have no complaints about this rental. I will say the furniture is a bit dated but other than that, no concerns. We were allowed early check-in and when we entered the unit, it was easily visible this unit was extremely clean. The Plantation Hale staff are super nice as well. Though we did not have an ocean view, we did have a breeze and ceiling fans. During our stay, we never had to use the AC. It was a perfectly balanced temperature our entire stay. We have stayed in the Coconut Market area place before including a prior stay at a different Plantation Hale unit. This location is ideal if you want to be in Hanalei one day and/or Waimea Canyon the next. Just an ideal location for how my wife and I travel and explore many of Kauai's beaches. The staff from Garden Island Properties will send periodic government updates regarding traveling in Kauai. In fact, there was one email updating us that a reservation at Hanalei is required. I should have read that email prior to heading over to Hanalei. I own that mistake. In general, Garden Island Properties did a stellar job in preparing us for our vacation and as well, kept us informed on how to enhance our stay. Well done.

The condo was spacious with a full kitchen which was perfect for my husband and I. Beautiful view of the mountains from the patio. Location was perfect and made driving anywhere super easy and was within walking distance to a marketplace with shops and dining options. Very nice, clean unit. Grounds are fine, and pool is very close. I have seen other reviews complain about some things that are unfair to the unit owner. This is not a resort, you are not paying resort prices. Do not expect resort amenities. The only complaint about the unit is that it is located VERY close to the road. While sitting on the lanai, you WILL get road noise at all hours of the day. However, the unit is a very good value and I would recommend.

This place was so amazing! Such a cute little condo with a lot of space for even up to 8 people if you want! The decor was adorable, everything was very inviting. The room has a completely private balcony which was awesome. The owner left a brita filter and ice cube trays for water and ice which was a nice touch, Kitchen had everything you need. Plenty of towels, comfortable bed and pillows and beautiful scenery! The weather was perfect, we barely needed to use the AC with leaving some windows cracked open. It was also in a great location, walking distance from convenience stores, restaurants, shops and the beach! I would love to stay here again!

We rented this condo for a month in April 2021 and couldn’t have had a better experience. The location is excellent. The condo itself was perfectly appointed for a long stay, with all the kitchen pots/pans/cookware you’d ever need, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, etc. The decor of the condo was fresh and beachy, and it was extremely clean. We enjoyed our stay at this property. The suite was clean and nicely updated, and the fans and air conditioning were great. We used the BBQ a few times, which is super close to the unit. We also used the pool and hot tub a couple times. Kapa'a is a good central place to stay if you want to explore the island because you can drive south or north without having drive for too long. The beaches that are in walking distance from this condo are nice, but were very windy every day and often rainy. We ended up driving south to Poipu to go to the beach every day (about 40 minutes). This condo is also located at the back of the building, right along the highway. This made for a very noisy lanai, particularly Monday to Friday during work hours. Checkout was at 10am and we were not allowed a late checkout, so this wasn't ideal for us, but we made it work. Otherwise we had a great trip to Kauia!

This condo was clean, updated and beautifully decorated. The property manager arranged for us to get in a bit early when we arrived. Anything needed was available at the Coconut Market beside us and the beach was only a short walk away. Coolers and beach chairs were even provided. When we had a small issue, the concerns were immediately addresses. The traffic from the main highway was the only drawback. Highly recommend this place. An aside - make sure to have dinner at the Lemmongrass Seafood Grill just a mile down the road - best meal ever!!!

First of all, the 4/5 star rating misguided me. My stay was thoroughly disappointing. We stayed at B-13 Plantation Hale.
Pros: ease of checkin, friendly staff at concierge desk.
Cons: the property at B-13 was not managed by the front desk as it is independently owned. The unit built in 1931 is in need of lot of updates.
We noticed bugs that seemed like mosquitoes upon checkin and thought it was something to find in a humid weather. But the next day, the gnats or something like that were all over the kitchen, I. Bathroom and in bedroom.
I requested pest control - and it was done. But there were dead gnats on towels - I requested new towels. My email was never answered, till another repeat request a few days later.
Horrible stay. Don’t stay here. Stay at a hotel or other condominiums.
