From booking to check-out, our experience with Keith and this location was magnificent. Set perfectly along the coastline, Pu'u Poa 111 offered a beautiful, quiet escape with close access to the pool and beach. The condo itself was a haven of elegance and comfort. Every detail, from the beautiful decor to the plush furnishings, exuded luxury. The spacious layout allowed room for all of us to relax, while the views of the ocean from the living area and lanai were breathtaking. What truly set this condo apart were its thoughtful amenities. The fully equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze, the provided soaps and shampoos were amazing, and the private fully stocked lanai provided a perfect spot for watching the waves and sunsets. The attention to detail was evident in the quality of linens, the cleanliness of the space, and the modern appliances—all of which enhanced the overall experience. The access to the lawn was a game-changer for us. We could walk out to the cliff, lounge in grass, or watch the birds and nene. The provided outdoor gear—chairs, umbrellas, etc.—added an extra layer of convenience. Keith deserves applause for his attentiveness and professionalism. Any questions or needs were promptly answered, contributing to a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. If we head back to this area, staying here again is our first priority!

The owner is the best I've ever dealt with, responding quickly and completely to questions and supplying his guide to seeing and doing all the best on Kauai. I spent every morning sitting on the lanai watching the sunrise over the ocean, with the resident NeNe geese checking in with me. This property is not beachfront, but is oceanfront with gorgeous views, and a quick walk down the grass to the pool. We appreciated the AC units as we adjusted to the humidity in the lush Princeville area.

We have rented in Pu'u Po'a several times in addition to other places on Kauai. The best thing about the unit is the owner, Keith. A personalized welcome video on his Echo was the first indication that honest communication was one of his highest priorities. The fact that the unit is not rented through a management company results in a better supply of kitchen and beach items, both of which were impressive. Boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs and snorkel gear were all available.
This was our first Pu'u Po'a rental on the ground floor, which has the distinct advantage of quick access to the pool. The views are maybe marginally not as good as the upper floors, but this unit has much better "Bali Hai" views compared to many of the other units that face more easterly.
Many owners will tout having A/C, saying it's not common on Kauai. This is no longer really true at Pu'u Po'a since many of the owners have now installed A/C. Keith's system is one of the better ones, consisting of four mini-splits with individual controls connected to an outside compressor.
One small negative, which is shared by many of the Pu'u Po'a units, is the use of doors with slats. The idea was probably that it would improve air circulation, but it results in a little less privacy.
Hideaways Beach, directly below the condo, is one of the better snorkeling beaches on the island. It is still accessed by a fairly steep path, but it has been improved with new ropes and steps.

The property is beautifully sited, convenient to Hanalei Bay and Napali coast (15 mins). Host was great at communicating with recommendations and help. Site is clifftop and view is beautiful, particularly at sunset. Nene joined us on the patio or grass each evening.
The property has been around a while so expect stairs, a bit of 80s feel, and a few renovations needed but almost everything was perfect. T-Mobile service spotty, but Verizon not bad; WiFi was good. A/C good, but a bit noisy now and then.
If staying here, plan to eat-in most meals as drive required to most restaurants and patio and dining views exceed available almost anywhere else.

I can say without hesitation that this is the best property we've ever rented. Here are just some of the reasons why this is the case:
1. Location: This condo is in the ideal location for a Kauai stay. Every morning you wake to the beautiful NaPali coast and the ocean, every evening you have the perfect sunset view. The condo sits above the best snorkeling beach in the area, and next to a 5-star hotel where you can go to a fancy dinner or have cocktails.
2. Property: The condo is spacious, bright and airy, has excellent air conditioning, is tastefully decorated. It has everything you need - top-notch snorkel gear, chairs, coolers, kitchen supplies, bath products.
3. Condo owner: Keith is the most helpful and responsive person I've ever rented from. He was more like a concierge than an owner - he provided excellent tips both before our stay and during, answered every question promptly. By the end he felt more like a friend than just a person we were renting from!
We look forward to staying here again some day!

The property is gorgeous, we absolutely loved the ground floor unit with the large patio for eating dinner with stunning views of the sunset. The unit is well stocked with great gear for snorkeling, boogey boarding, bocce ball, etc. The secluded beach that is just below the complex was the best we found on the island for snorkeling, and when everyone is done with the ocean, the kids loved swimming in the pool at the end of each day. Keith was the perfect host, so communicative and helpful with tons of great recommendations. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved the Puu Poa for its location (walking distance to Hideaways Beach, Puu Poa Beach, and Queen’s Bath), for its absolutely stunning sunsets viewed right from the unit’s kitchen, living room, lanai, and grassy lawn, and for the warmth and kindness of host Keith.
Keith is lovely, helpful, and knows so much about Kauai. We really appreciated his recommendations for some hidden gems (in terms of activities and restaurants). He was readily available by phone/text for any needs we had while there.
The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, and even sharp knives (which so many rentals don’t have!).
The living room and sitting room were big, welcome gathering places that we enjoyed so much!
The two bedrooms have comfortable beds with soft and lovely bedding!
A/C worked well throughout the home and we slept comfortably because we could cool down after the warm summer days and evenings.
The bathrooms are clean, but not renovated, as seen in the pictures.
Literally everything about this place is awesome and we would come back to stay in this rental unit specifically!

Our family’s vacation in Kauai and our stay at this property was magical. The thoughtful details provided by the host truly set this vacation home apart from others. Hideaway Beach, just down a short path from the condo, was our favorite on Kauai. We arrived just before sunset and walked down to the beach, and it was breathtaking. The communication with the host both before and during our stay was so helpful in planning our activities while on the island. He went above and beyond to personalize details for us. My family and I spend four nights in Keith's condo and wished we stayed longer, a lot longer. We loved every second of it. The condo is very spacious, clean, and has everything you need for your stay from kitchen items to beach chairs, snorkel & fin sets and boogie boards. The ground floor unit has a beautiful outdoor patio for eating & lounging and offers nice walks on the grass area which overlooks the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular and are right in front of the unit. A short walk down a really cool, somewhat steep pathway, leads you to Hidewaways Beach. This was our favorite beach and snorkeling spot of all the places we went. The reef is expansive and we saw multiple turtles & several different fish species each time. It's not crowded at all due to its location and very limited parking. The town of Hanalei Bay is incredible and a short drive from the condo. There is a Foodland grocery store very close for all your needs.
Keith was by far the best host I have ever rented from on any rental platform. He genuinely cares about his guests and knows everything about the island. Princeville is an amazing area and Keith's condo is the best!! We hope to be back soon for a much longer stay!!

The property was awesome top to bottom. It was a home away from home and our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Every night we sat on the Lanai and watched an amazing sunset. Keith was an awesome host and we had a 30 year wedding anniversary basket awaiting us. The place is spectacular and we loved the convenient location to get about anywhere on the North Shore. This condo has amazing view. We saw beautiful sunset every evening when staying there. The unit is very spacious and clean with large bathrooms. Air conditioners worked great and quietly. The second bedroom provides kids books and board games that we really like. There’s a nene visit us every day. We took many pictures with him on the grass. The unit is very close to hideaway beach. The trail to the beach is right next to the tennis court. Trail is kind of steep but fun to go. My toddler was able to make it. The beach is awesome. So beautiful and calm. Also has a lot of shade. Great for kids to swim and also a nice place to snorkel. It became my favorite one in Kauai. The owner Keith gave many information about Kauai. So that we know the beaches, trails and restaurants. Check in and out was easy and quick. My family enjoyed staying here. We have stayed in many VRBO rooms and I would say so far this one is the best.

This unit has a preferred ground floor location making the pool and scenic cliff readily accessible. The living space contains every imaginable amenity as well as wonderful air conditioning.The owner has spent considerable expense appointing this unit with very high quality and comfortable furniture and bedding. Spectacular sunsets every night. Also easy access to Hideaways Beach. Over the years we have stayed in multiple Pu'u Poa apartments and none come even close to this one.

This condo is even better then the pictures! It is big and has absolutely stunning views! We loved staying here and would definitely come back. The communication with Keith was fantastic. He had very clear instructions about the condo and the checkin process, he even left a personalized video welcome message on the Alexa Echo show and a gift basket upon our arrival that was definitely above and beyond. We have stayed at many vacation rentals all over the world, and the extra personal touches we had at Keith’s Condo was like none other. There was also a giant box on the Patio full of snorkel gear, umbrellas, beach chairs and coolers. Everything you could ever need! I cannot say enough great things about Keith and his Pua Poa condo. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing time, the condo was great, fully equipped, very open and spacious and the view was truly a million dollar view. We even cancelled dinner one night just to hang out on the Lanai with food from the food trucks and watch the sun set over the ocean. We wished we stayed all 10 days here as we split time between North Shore and South Shore.
We managed to visit hideaway beach below the cliffs of the condo, puu poa beach nearby and Hanalei beach, we loved Hanalei town and it is only a 10 min drive away so easy to reach from the condo.
Finally Keith was an amazing host, from his initial communication and info package to follow up during the stay and the very generous gift basket.

Exceptional! The rental process was very easy and efficient. Keith stayed in touch with us from the day we first rented through the day we left the property. He provided very useful information about things to do, places to eat, etc. The welcome video and amenities were a nice touch. And the house and property exceeded our expectations. The house is lovely and the view from the lanai is exactly what you see in the photos. Whenever we make a return visit to Kauai, this is where we’ll want to stay.

Really had a great stay at this Princeville condo. The condo is beautiful and is in the best location in the area. It is very well equipped, much better than other places we have stayed. You can tell that Keith, our host and the owner, really loves this area. He was great.

Keith's unit has everything you'd want from a Hawaii vacation! There are amazing views of the mountains and ocean from the lanai with beautiful patio furniture to lounge on. Needless to say, we spent most of our time out there and loved it. It's conveniently located within walking distance of Hideaway Beach and Queen's Bath, and is just a short drive to Hanalei Bay. There is tons of beach equipment (all in great condition) which was very handy. And last but not least, Keith is by far the most gracious host I've ever encountered. He is a true expert of Kauai and shared great tips and recommendations for activities, restaurants, and grocery stores around the island. The welcome video, gift, and fresh flowers were so thoughtful and made us feel welcome in his home. We hope to return one day!

Having a great host can take a vacation rental from good to great, and you will not find a better host than Keith. While the physical space is fantastic and the location is perfect, it's the thoughtfulness of the host that sets this rental apart. Things like the fresh cut flowers, the really nice welcome basket of goodies and drinks, the personal welcome message, fantastic communication with lots of personal tips on activities and sites, a fully stocked kitchen, and beach gear such as boogie boards, coolers, chairs, quality and well maintained snorkel gear and more. All these little touches enhanced our stay and allowed us to do more without having to track down and rent all the gear.
As for the location of the unit, we loved the ground floor unit. You still get the amazing views, but also get to stroll out onto the grass. We find this set up helps us 'get out' of the condo and outside much easier than the upper units. It's so nice to stroll out with a coffee or drink and enjoy what feels like your entire front yard. We really like the option to stay outside but in the shade on the Lanai, or step out and be in the sun.
Wonderful interior design with really comfortable beds and sheets, very nice furniture and plenty of all the necessities (towels, beach towels, local bath products, etc).
I can't say enough about the concierge level of hosting Keith provided. If you are comparing his space to others, you won't be disaapointed by choosing his.

The setting is spectacular. Sitting on the back deck hearing only the ocean, birds and an occasional rooster was ideal. We didn’t want to leave. Keith was a wonderful host explaining everything. The unit was immaculate and had everything we need. We would definitely stay hear again.

Beautiful condo, super stocked(all the beach gear super appreciated!!!) nearby walking trails, and beach access was unbelievable. The outdoor lanai was unforgettable. Hideaway beach(best snorkeling) was visited daily and Puu Poa Beach and Queens Bath was a nice walk to visit and discover. Oh and the pool, that was great too. Appreciate Ketih and his hospitality! Thank you for the wonderful memories. WE miss Kauai already!

This is a beauiful condo and the location was just perfect for us. You have a great view of the ocean and whale activity, plus snorkeling very close by. The beaches are amazing and easy to get to. This was one of our favorite VRBO's that we ever stayed in!!!

We totally enjoyed our stay. Furnishings have been updated recently, and the views are breathtaking. We saw more whales than we could count, making it an easy choice to stay in, enjoy the sunset, and fix dinner in the well-equipped kitchen.
Keith was very attentive to our needs - he responded to questions promptly and checked to make sure our arrival was effortless. We walked in to Hawaiian music, a welcome video, fresh flowers, and a nice gift basket.

Quit reading this and book it right away. Keith has a world class rental and is the epitome of a host. He should teach classes. His property is stunningly beautiful. He could easily ask more than he is. His communication, caring nature and attention to detail is unparalleled. My wife and I rented for one first anniversary. I have been to Kauai about 10 times. This was one of the best experiences we have had renting. The unit was even better than the pictures. Super clean. Incredibly stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The A/C in every room was wonderful. Beds were super comfortable. Keith was the best host ever and every detail was taken care of. The front patio is huge and the views here are the best on the whole island. We will definitely be back!!

This place was far more amazing than we anticipated!! The location is perfect - you can easily walk to two remote beaches and Queens Bath. A short drive to Hanalei and some more fantastic beaches and trails. But you won’t want to leave because the condo is so magnificent and the view from the back patio is unreal. Nice little pool onsite as well - fresh flowers throughout the open and airy condo and a welcome video from the owner who is super helpful and truly invested in your experience. Best trip to Kauai yet!

If you are looking for a premier experience on the North Shore, then look no further. Everything about this place is amazing with fantastic sunsets every evening from the Lanai. We didn't even want to go out to dinner as there are no restaurants with a better view. We BBQ'd every evening and shopped the farmer's markets as well as getting fresh fish in Hanalei. The Kitchen is vey well stocked with everything needed, plenty of cookware and spices. Keith is an absolutely great owner, who has put in a lot upgrades into this condo, including A/C. Hideaway's Beach is right below the property, which is a beautiful little uncrowded beach with great snorkeling. We walked to Quenn's Bath, which was really fun, as was walking and wading over to Hanalei, which isn't hard to do. We loved it so much that have rebooked it for next year!!!

Superb location, amazing accommodation, outstanding host! We could not have asked for better. The unit was spacious, clean and very well appointed. We loved sitting out on the patio watching the sun set. Beds were comfy and there were lots of space for everyone to spread out. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. The few neighbors we saw were all friendly. The beach in front, Hideaways, was our favorite on the island. Also walking distance to Pu’u Poa beach, Happy Talk restaurant and Hideaways Pizza. Keith was outstanding to work with, genuinely wanting the best for his renters. Highly recommended!

Keith is hands down the best host I have had for any vacation home rental on vrbo or other rental companies. He was extremely good at communication and sent constant updates, with well organized docs for both house instructions as well as local conditions and recommendations. Keith left no stone unturned in preparing us for the currently challenging Kauai tourist conditions (pandemic rush!). He even went out of his way to leave us a personalized welcome video and a surprise welcome present! I asked Keith for snorkeling recommendations and could tell he is a Kauai expert with lots of secret tips.
Keith’s place is a luxurious property with one of the best locations on the north coast! We stayed in a gorgeous house with a huge living space, all glass windows overlooking the north coast. You can walk right out the patio and look over the bluff to the beautiful corals of hideaways beach! We hiked down to hideaways right from the property early in the mornings for some of the best snorkeling during our trip. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had high end equipment to satisfy the culinary enthusiastic. There are even some outdoor equipment that might be available for you to borrow such as snorkels, fins, noodles etc.

This home was great for our family vacation. The views from the back porch are incredible! The location was perfect and we really enjoyed being able to walk to Hideaway Beach. The host was very communicative and offered a lot of useful information. We would absolutely stay here again!
