Wonderful space for a couple. The bed was extra comfy and we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet this unit is considering how busy the property is. Love the proximity to the beachwalk and all Kannapali has to offer. Would be glad to come back!

Lovely condo in a great location. Enjoyed watching the whales from lanai, and having the choice of sitting by any of the many pools. Went for walks on the boardwalk and the beach. Truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Honua Kai (437). Exceptionally clean, well outfitted, quiet and just perfect for my wife and I. Stayed nine nights, enjoyed everything- pool, beach, Duke’s Beach House, pool service, etc. Prepared about a third of our meals with great kitchen, easy to get supermarket supplies. Parking in garage available all except one night due to us coming back after 8:00pm, but easily parked outside. Did our laundry in house, so pack light!! Loved it, so booked it again!!

Overall we were very happy with our stay. We spent more time indoors than anticipated thanks to lots and lots of rain. The studio was clean and had all the amenities we needed plus some. The gym had a nice mix of cardio and weights. The only thing that was troublesome was the lack of parking. Most nights we could not find a spot in the garage and had to park almost a half-mile away. Regardless I could see us returning again some day in the hopes that we get to see sun and blue skies.

Let me start off by saying the owner is so Wonderful! Quick response always! The room was SO CLEAN!!!! Which is always a bonus for us! Had everything from beach chairs, to binoculars and even had cards in the room! We played a few games in the evening. Stayed here for a few days with our 7 & 9 year old before we moved to our Timeshare near Whalers Village and wanted to see this part of the island. The room was Great. Mattress was AMAZING!!! We slept Great which is exactly what you hope for on Vacation. The pullout couch was also likely the most comfortable I’ve ever seen. Kids had a great time in the pools even when we found them way colder than anticipated. Hot Tubs were inconsistent. One day likely 110° and the next day, same hot tub 85°. Felt like Goldilocks, Just had to try them all to find one that was the right temperature. Parking in the parkade was a challenge after 5pm. But We would definitely stay here again. Hosts were Great and exactly what you would hope for in a VRBO.

My wife and I just had a few days to get away and we could not have asked for a better place. We do wish we had longer and if we did, this unit would still have been perfect. The property is a gem. The pool, the grounds, Duke's and the beach were all amazing. The sliding doors that opened to the Hawaiian air was a really nice option in the evenings. The full kitchen was more than we needed, but it allowed for morning coffee and all the amenities we could possibly want.

Lovely unit in a resort that has so much to offer. The location is fantastic, you can walk on the boardwalk and beaches for miles, the food trucks and grocery store are a 2 minute walk and Duke's for breakfast, lunch or dinner is amazing!

This unit is as pictured, gorgeous! Nice and updated, nicely furnished. Parking was a bit challenging at times and we did see a local bug in the unit but seems to be a thing in Hawaii. However, my kids ranked it #1 out of the 3 locations during our vacation (2 in Maui, 1 in Waikiki). Would definitely stay again! I’d give it 4.8 out of 5 stars! The Honau Kai drive through to get to the Konea was confusing initially. Better setup and location would increase the score. Didn’t get a chance to indulge in the amenities but the main entrance and common areas looked inviting and nice.

The unit was very comfy and provided all conveniences and high end appliances. We enjoyed the beach chairs and the comfort of the unit. The view was nice. TFW dryer didn’t work so we had to hang our clothes on the balcony to dry. Overall, very nice.

Hula Hideaway was absolutely perfect. The views, the doors to the lanai that open up entirely to make it one open air space, the breezes, this condo is absolutely everything you hope it will be. The cleanliness is top notch, which is obviously important to everyone in these times. The kitchen, coming from a kitchen guy...just made me smile. New appliances, new pots/pans, the granite countertops...just perfect. The wifi worked great for us, even using our Firestick for streaming our favorites from home. Although I will say the TV is new and has all of these options built in as well. The Condo grounds themselves are just stunning, so well groomed. I couldn't help but notice how much pride the landscaping crew had in what they were doing, it was very impressive. I've seen some people complain about the number of kids running around for a "couples getaway"...I honestly couldn't disagree more. My wife and I of course witnessed many happy kids running around, but nothing more than any other place...and definitely not excessive in any way. In fact, one thing we talked about was how nice the Adult pool was. We spent one day there and it was very peaceful. While you can hear kids in the background playing and having fun, not once did it ever seem excessive or bothersome...they are in fact in Maui too. Duke's (such a good restaurant on site) even has staff come around to take orders by the pool, food and drinks. We may have partaken in the convenience of the Mai Tai offerings. All in all I absolutely recommend Hula Hideaway, you could honestly make a vacation out of just staying on the resort property if you wanted to, but it is so close to so many other West Maui activities as well. We would love to come back, Jill is an amazing host!

We really enjoyed staying in this part of Maui and the check in/check out process was really stress free. The only thing I’d mention is the towers were a little tough to find the first go around but we figured it out very quickly after that!

Great studio, very spacious, well stocked, spacious lanai that opens up to create larger living area. Very little noise from other units. King bed comfortable. Only downside is no sunset viewing from lanai as it faces the wrong way. But very easy to walk down to beach to view other islands/sunset. Great resort - small general store in lobby, great pools, onsite Duke's restaurant, grocery store directly across the street along with other restaurants and rental car.

We had a great time at Honua Kai resort! This condo was perfect for our honeymoon! Having beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler was an awesome plus and made it easy for us to enjoy the beach! The pools at the resort are amazing, but get there early to get a chair! Also we loved the cafe on site, the coffees and açaí bowls were to die for! Having Dukes right there was also a plus and made some meals super easy!

This unit was everything described in the listing! My favorite part was all the extra items they had like the beach chairs, rolling cooler, beach umbrella and boogie board! We also brought our 7 month old and they had a pack n play for our use as well. That really took a lot of stress off to know she has a safe place to sleep and I didn’t need to bring yet another item along with us. The unit was super clean and exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is the perfect little studio on the most amazing beach ever! We loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

We've stayed here as part of our honeymoon. While I'd say this resort would be great for families, it was just ok for a romantic getaway as the grounds and pools were overrun with unsupervised kids.
That said,, this location is superb for exploring this part of the island.
The condo was very clean and had all the amenities we needed except for wifi which is obviously an ongoing problem. After following the instructions to power off the router a few times, we contacted the host who told us to follow the instructions on the counter. Those instructions were to call there internet provider to work it out with them. Not the response we were hoping for.

This was our 3rd stay in Honoa Kai (first in this unit). Very comfy, well-appointed, good views, and great access to the north coast. This remains our favorite resort on West Maui. This comment is not a negative on the property, just a heads-up: as the island opens, the reduced capacity of restaurants and attractions cannot keep up with the volume of arrivals. This includes the resort’s amenities. Make your reservations early, and adjust expectations.
