Everything was perfect with our stay. Couldn't have been happier with it. We planned on eating out for the most part and needed a place to sleep and this for the bill perfectly. Also being able to use the hotels pool was great for when we got rained out of our plans.

The TV was big, the linens were excellent and all the small thoughtful details were noticed and appreciated. The view and balcony were wonderful. This room is a lot like a hotel room but with some extra touches like the coffee machine and beach stuff. We didn't spend a lot of time at the resort because there's just so much to do around the island. Lihue has lots of food and is less than 1 hour from pretty much any location on the island. This was a great stay!

Rudest host I've experienced in 30 years of traveling!
Host called me, fuming mad and cursing me up and down, because I messaged him the night before about urine and body hair my wife had to clean up in the bathroom when we arrived. I thought I was being helpful by letting him know that his cleaning crew didn't do a thorough job on the bathroom. He doesn't have a cleaning crew. He does it himself and was offended that we didn't praise him for forgetting to wipe down the toilet.
The host's exact words to me were, "I was on my f-ing hands and knees cleaning that f-ing bathroom yesterday so I'm really pissed off right now and I want to just tell you and your family to get the f out....but I should stop before I get myself in trouble so I'll just leave it at that". I have never been treated that way by a host or hotel management.
VRBO did nothing. Didn't care. Asked me to send pics, which I did. No response. I had to message the owner myself to tell him that his abusive language would not be tolerated. Won't use vrbo again after this.
This was Day One of the vacation! What a start. This resort is nice so we enjoyed the stay. Kaua'i is beautiful so we had fun exploring. But the nastiness of this host overshadowed the whole trip for me. Sure, we cleaned up the piss and pubes ourselves, but we deserved the properly cleaned room we paid for. Also there was mold by the bed.
I love Kaua'i to visit and Kaua'i Beach Resort to stay. But this host is the worst.

My wife and I had a very good time staying at this place. The room came with beach chairs and cooler and pool noodles which was awesome to have with us on the beach. We really enjoyed the pools and the location of the property was about an hour drive to either side of the island, making it perfect for sightseeing. The unit itself is very nice and new, and the view of the pool area / sunrise is wonderful.
The only downside, though it was well communicated beforehand, is parking is not included in the price, and you definitely need a car to see the best parts of the island with this place. Wasn't a lot of money though and the parking was easy and convenient.

If you're looking for a place that allows a balance of relaxation and exploration, this is it. Plenty of opportunities for rest with a patio overlooking the ocean and multiple beautiful pools and hot tubs to enjoy. Also centrally located to different types of adventures around the island. I booked this room specifically for my 60th birthday. The view is spectacular for morning coffee. And the bed, sheets and pillows are luxurious. When you aren't a kid, a comfortable bed is a priority! The owner even left some chocolate macadamia nuts in our room for my big birthday. The restaurant resorts have A+ food the grounds are lush. By far my favorite resort in Kauai and room. Mahalo, Bob! 🌺

He gave us some tips on what to do, and where to eat etc. Had the room stocked with coffee, towels, instructions. boogie boards, beach chairs, pool noodles and on and on. We have friends on the island who came and visited us at the resort and they loved it. It is so beautiful and the views from the room are amazing. Waking up and opening the sliding blinds to see the Ocean about a 1 minute walk away NEVER got old. The sunrises were spectacular. Our daughter could not get enough of the pools. If and when we make it back this will definitely be on our list of places to stay. The price was really good for Kauai versus the other properties we considered. The one and only thing we didn't absolutely love was there was nothing within walking distance as far as shops or restaurants. Having said that the resort does have those things. Overall we give it perfect reviews!

We booked this property from March 26th to April 7th. When we arrived we were very shocked to find out all was not as advertised here. Not quite sure how all other reviews posted on here are 5 stars. Although there are some added touches that a normal hotel room would not have, like the Keurig machine and outdoor equipment, the rest and most important things really fall short. The cleanliness of the unit needs to be addressed badly. From things like big brown spots all over the bathroom mirror that cannot be removed to layers of dust and debris in the air vents that are very visible, to a very dirty bathroom floor, dings in the walls and bug excrement on plug outlets, doors and windows full of smudges and fingerprints. Not to mention that the bed, bedding, our clothes and everything in the room was very very damp and the musty smell was overwhelming. We have stayed at many places over the years and for the amount we paid this was horrible and when we advised the owner of our main concerns they were not even addressed in his reply. The grounds of the resort and the view from this unit are very nice, but the facilities in general need a lot of updating. We were so disappointed that we left after staying only 2 nights and that is because we had to secure new accommodations or we would have only stayed 1 night of what would have been a 12 night stay. No compensation has been provided to us for this either. The owner still received the full payment for 12 nights as no refund was given.

The beach was nice to walk on and our room had a great view of the ocean to the east. One morning we were delighted to see the sunrise. That was awesome! The property is perfectly located for adventures throughout the island. Nearly everything is within an hour drive max or less. It was really nice to be able to fly into Kauai and then be at the resort within 20-30 minutes. We now have great memories to cherish, and we’re already making plans for future visits!

It has everything you need if you don't want to leave the resort, but also makes it easy if you want to explore the island. We loved the pools and watching the sun rise from the beach. We opted for self parking, which was a ways to walk, but there is a valet service if you wish to pay for it. The biggest concern was turning left onto the main highway out of the hotel, since there isn't a stoplight. Sometimes it would take a while for the timing to work out. But that was the biggest concern, so it was great overall. We had a great time!

This is my second time staying in magical room 2442. It's ideally situated on the resort property. It's on the 4th floor facing the pools, waterfalls, swaying palm trees, and the evening tiki torches. Plus, it has a gorgeous view of the ocean and spectacular waves. The room is complete with a huge TV, a comfy bed, and a Keurig coffee maker with many fun coffee choices to start your morning (or you can zip down to the Starbucks in the gift shop). I know it sounds odd to request an extra blanket while in Hawaii, but Bob happily accommodated my request giving me some solid vacation sleep. I can't say enough about Bob's lovely room and plan to return for my birthday again next year.

Home away from home. Our host had the room stocked with extras that you think you won’t need but end up needing. All the amenities needed on property. Most amazing view to wake up to every morning. Not having a vehicle available caused us to relax and just enjoy the resort as things are spreed out on the island. Best thing that could of happened!! Definitely will be back. “Try slow” Mahalo!!!

Only thing I would have wished was to have at least one more hook for the towels in the bathroom!! And the vent in the bathroom was so gross.... But I would forget to clean today too if it was in my house.

This unit is just as advertised and more …very well maintained, copious sundry and coffee supplies, high quality cotton linens, 10 minutes from the Lihue airport and as you can see from the view centrally located in the Kauai Beach Resort and Spa. You have full access to the Resort amenities including the Pool Bar, Pub and dining room. Bob has provided the beach chairs and cooler bag that you need to spend the day on one of the well known beaches or to travel up the island . We hope to return!

Perfect location. The island of Kauai is not big and this felt like a central enough place. The room had what you needed and we were comfortable. The resort is really nice. You will have a short walk to parking lot but not an issue. We would stay here again.

If you want the full Ohana experience full of Aloha, this is the room to rent and the location to stay. The owner is extremely helpful and provides lots of information to get you started. The location is central to everything to go and do and go and do everything!

We really enjoyed our time here. Our room was on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the pool, gardens, ocean and sky.
We had dinner here twice with the catch of the day each time and everything was excellent.
Highly recommend driving up the east coast one day. Stop at small beaches along the way. Then, of coarse, Waimea Canyon.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! The view from the room is even better in person and the resort staff was so friendly. The room was clean, comfortable, and was exactly what we needed. Our host, Bob, was very welcoming and left us his business card in case we needed to reach him. Will stay here again if we ever make it back to Kauai!

Bob's place was great - centrally located near the Lihue airport and an easy base for exploring the North, South and West sides of the island. I was slightly concerned about airport noise but that turned out to be a complete non-issue. The room was clean, comfortable and seemed recently updated. Grounds are gorgeous and the private lanai faces the pools and beach (sunrise views were especially nice). Includes a massive tv (not that we spent much time watching tv). We'd brought our chromecast to watch movies on HBO, Netflix, etc. but unfortunately were not able to connect it (something about chromecast not supporting wifi that requires sign-in via a browser).
The place is well stocked with items to make for an easier stay (beach chairs,
a somewhat beleaguered umbrella, cooler, sunscreen, bug spray, etc). There was a good variety of keurig coffee and creamers, though we quickly ran out of the non-flavored creamers.
All in all- fantastic spot. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here and very much enjoyed the room which includes a nice view of the property. The resort has multiple dining and drinking options, and great pools. This is also a great location for jumping off to other parts of the island! The unit had everything that we needed and Bob was a pleasure to work with. I fully recommend this rental, and we would be happy to stay here again.

Loved staying in this beautiful room. All of the amenities and extra little things in the room like ziploc bags, paper towels, beach chair, cooler, etc were so thought out. Bob was attentive to any questions or concerns and there was no stressful part of the stay at all. The resort this property is located at is beautiful and the staff is nice. Thanks Bob!

Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. The location is great. The room was stocked with everything we needed for a week stay. We really enjoyed having the beach chairs provided as we explored the island. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a very comfortable stay. Towels and linens were very soft and smelled great. King size bed was comfy. View was great. Room has a small futon/couch, small fridge, beach chairs, pool towels, small cooler, some pool toys. Also lots of extra utensils and paper plates, etc. The only thing we wished would have been in the room was a small microwave. We often had leftovers from lunch and dinner and it would have been nice to re-heat. This place is great and we would definitely stay again!

Perfect location with an amazing view right from the lanai. Watched sunrise everyday with a cup of coffee that Bob so graciously supplied in the room.
Space had everything we needed; a comfy bed, towels, coffee & creamer, small refrigerator, accessible plugs, beach chairs & umbrella, and even small bathroom toiletries. He even stocked the dresser drawers with extra sunscreen, plastic utensils, among other things.
The resort itself was wonderful as well. We enjoyed the pool many days and there were always lounge chairs to relax on. The poolside bar had excellent Mai Tais, along with food to order while out by the pool.
Lihue is such a convenient location on the island. We ventured south and north but never felt like too long of a drive in either direction. The beach at the resort is definitely a walking beach with rougher waves, but was nice to sit on the sand and enjoy the waves daily.
Would 100% book Bob's place again. We felt lucky to have stayed there and at a great price.

Was very happy with our stay, the hotel is beautiful and the room has the most amazing views of the pool and ocean. A real respite from the mainland craziness. The owner provides great instruction on all amenities, directions, surrounding areas, and was quick to respond to our questions. We would certainly return.

The room was more than perfect as it far exceeded our expectations. Everything was in the room that we needed that we wouldn’t normally find in a hotel room such as band-aids, extra cups, scissors, storage bags, rubber bands, paper towels, beach chairs, floatation noodles – the list goes on. The convenience of a hotel room combined with the privacy afforded by your ownership was a very nice plus.
We originally booked our stay in Poipu but the owner sold his property a month before our travel so we had to scramble to find an alternate location. Your place came up with very high reviews so we thought we’d give Lihue a try. As we discovered, it was central to everything we wanted to do, making our stay even more ideal.
But Kauai is all about the beaches. And your place wowed us with a spectacular view of the beach that gave us glorious sunrise every morning of our stay. We’ll definitely be back as we have found our new vacation home in Hawaii. Thank you, Bob, for being such a wonderful host!

We had a good time in Kauai at this property . We enjoyed the amenities at KBR as well. A little confusion with checking in at the front desk , but contacting the owner ensured that we we able to check in at the time stated . Only issue we had was the WC but again , Bob was very prompt and had it fixed right away .
