What you see in the images it’s exactly the way it looks. It could be a little bit cleaner but overall it was a nice stay. Access to the beach and pool were really convenient and easy. cons: there is absolutely no air conditioning. Couch is a little uncomfortable, and it’s very hot upstairs. The pool has too many rules. The kids couldn’t play with their toys and there was a manager always on duty making sure you weren’t making too much noise. Pros: you can’t beat the location. We were close to everything condo was equipped with everything we needed washer and dryer is definitely a plus the lanai it was super nice to hang out on to watch the sunsets located on the fourth floor right next to the elevator so very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, right on the beach. And a bonus to watch turtles and whales all week, with sunsets from the lanai at night. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for the week.
A screen door on the front to allow air flow and different windows in the extra room to quiet the loud road noise would be my only suggestions.

The rental was beautiful and we had an ocean view. There was a sea turtle that came ashore everyday, and we were able to go down and view it from afar. Such a great experience waking up every morning and going out on the balcony to sip coffee and look at the ocean!

Love this property, and think the on-site manager. Larry is outstanding. Roof leaked in 2nd bedroom on our 2nd day - water all over the floor. No follow up or compensation for the inconvenience. Can’t beat the view or the beach. Unit desperately needs an update in kitchen and bathrooms.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in our favorite area of Maui! The view from this place is amazing, and the beach can’t be beat! We loved the amazing variety of hibiscus and the gorgeous lawn and pool area that is steps away from snorkeling, paddling, and swimming with sea turtles! The condo was in better shape than I expected. The only minor complaint was the street noise in the downstairs bedroom. The windows had to be closed to sleep, so room was a bit stuffy even with fans running. We found the kitchen equipped with everything we needed to cook daily. The lanai was our favorite place to start and end our day watching the whales, turtles, and outstanding view. We already miss it and will be back again in the future!

We love to visit this location. We have stayed at several different units in Hale Mahaina throughout the years. Beautiful views of the ocean, turtles, and sunsets/sunrises are spectacular! The unit requires care! Was very disappointed at how dirty the unit was. Also, the condition of the furniture was really bad. We had to cover the couch to even sit on it, disgusting. The floors were sticky as We love to visit this location. We have stayed at several different units in Hale Mahaina throughout the years. Beautiful views of the ocean, turtles, and sunsets/sunrises are spectacular! The bad- I'm sad to say, the unit was lacking in many ways. The unit requires a thorough cleaning. Bathrooms are filthy showers have mold. And we’re not cleaned. The couch needed a cover to even sit on, so filthy and sticky. The carpet going upstairs is very dirty and sticky. Multiple items were broken including a dresser upstairs and a glass table upstairs. Fans were full of dust and dirt that would blow out all over the bed. Hadto rewash the dishes, they were put away dirty and the coffee pot had coffee in it from the previous tenant. Also, a small stock of cleaning supplies would be beneficial. It’s sad because you do pay a cleaning deposit which I felt was not honored.

To start off, we have stayed at this property 10 times in the same one bedroom unit. This trip we had an additional guest and needed a two bedroom. This unit has not had any upgrades in years. The entire unit is dated with four different floorings, of which most were in poor condition. The dishwasher doesn’t open unless the oven door is open and visa versa. The patio furniture was worn and concerned to sit on some of the chairs as to not fall through. The living room furniture accommodated 3 people comfortably with the unit occupancy of 6. The dining table is clunky and a larger sofa and removal of table would be more sufficient. The cleaning had not been done all the way and wet carpets full of sand and rocks were left in washer. Dishes had been put away dirty the upstairs toilet broke and took a couple days to fix. There is no cabinet to put groceries in, thus having to fill counter with food. There are no TVs in either bedrooms, which would be nice if there is a guest in living room on hide-a-bed. We love this property and will stay again in another unit as we go annually. The owner needs to make upgrades to this unit.

Such an amazing view. First day and we saw a turtle on the beach from our balcony! Beautiful sunsets. The small beach has calm waves perfect for my little ones. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean . Unit was very clean and had everything we needed to cook. The only thing bad I can say is the bed on the loft was a little hard but not a biggie we loved the place and can’t wait to come again next year!

Overall our stay was wonderful, and we loved the property, the condo, the view, Larry the on site manager, everything. The only issue we had was the major construction of solar installation going on while we were there that we were not informed about prior to our stay. I work in heavy construction and we had booked another condo in the neighborhood who informed us there would be some significant renovation construction going on during our stay and offered us a significant discount for the inconvenience. I turned down the discount and cancelled that reservation because I listen to construction every day at work and really wanted some peace and quiet. Not being informed of the construction definitely was upsetting and affected the relaxing mood we were hoping for. That being said this is a gorgeous oceanfront property in a great location with great grounds, great views, nice pool....Maui the way we love it.

This unit had many minor issues such as, cooktop not working, toilet running, lights not working, damaged washing machine, TV service worked intermittently, threadbare dining chairs, uncomfortable furniture. All minor inconveniences, but not something you want to deal with while on vacation. Property manager was great to work with.

Great location with small swimming beach. Turtles abound! The only "issue" is that the loft bedroom does not have a window and is dark. Removing the top curtains in the main living space would help alleviate this but we couldn't figure out how to open them to let light in upstairs. Other than that, we enjoyed the property. Chocolates on arrival was a very nice touch!

This unit, A403, has a complete, 180-degree view of the beach and ocean, without even the pool and hot tub between you and the beautiful azure Hawaiian sea. You can't stay any closer to the water than this, and you're on a quiet, uncrowded, enjoyable beach that you're usually sharing only with your fellow Hale Mahina residents. I called the property management rep when I arrived, to locate the parking pass, and he was friendly and responsive. The condo complex itself has a resident manager who always keeps the grounds and pool/hot tub impeccably well maintained. As in years past at this complex, the hot tub is about 10 degrees too hot, and the pool 10 degrees too cold, and it seems that will never change.
The interior of the unit could use some sprucing up, and some conveniences. The paint in some places (bathroom ceilings, front door, etc.) is a sloppy one-coat job that can be seen through. There are no hooks in the bathrooms to hang anything. No place to hang wet swimsuits. No place to hang towels you want to reuse, or a bathrobe. The seating in the living/dining area is cheap, dated-looking, and uncomfortable; the cushions are constantly sliding off the love seat as you're sitting on it, and you're constantly sliding them back and rearranging them. The bamboo rocking chair is uncomfortable and has a thin, dingy cushion on it. There are no potholders/oven mitts in the kitchen; you're provided two kitchen towels, which are unsuitable for pulling burning hot dishes out of the oven. There's only one portable beach chair, two beach umbrellas, and a partial set of snorkel equipment in the unit: no boogie boards, no chairs for more people.
The condo seemed very clean, even on the lanai. Both bathrooms in this unit include glass-block-walled showers with tiled corner seats/shelves that are very convenient. There are no bathtubs in this unit.

Hale Mahina itself is ideal: a maximum of two buildings and four stories, so you can always see what's going on down on the excellent beach. The beach is ideal for most water activities, and the views spectacular. The resident manager here diligently maintains spotless grounds and pool/hot tub facilities (though as usual with this complex, the hot tub is about ten degrees too hot, and the pool ten degrees too cold, and no amount of complaining ever changes this). This unit in particular, A403, could use some upgrades. First, there are no potholders/oven mitts. I broiled dinner in the oven one evening, but struggled to get the dish out of the oven safely using only the provided kitchen towels. For safe handling of hot dishes, there should be real oven mitts. Second, no hooks in the bathroom downstairs. No place to hang clothes or towels except a single towel bar. No place to hang wet swimsuits. Third, the living/dining seating is cheap, dated-looking, inadequate, and uncomfortable. The loveseat cushions were constantly sliding off; rearranging them was a constant chore. Chair cushions are dated, dingy, and thin. The bamboo-framed rocking chair was not at all comfortable, and I didn’t use it. Fourth, there is only one portable folding beach chair (the other folding chair is not all that portable, has wood armrests, etc.), one partial set of snorkel gear, and two beach umbrellas. No boogie boards. I think the unit should have a set of four portable beach chairs, at least two boogie boards, and at least two sets of snorkel gear.

Turtles were on the beach almost every day and the compound was not crowded and there were lots of lounge chairs. The view from our Lanai was great and the whales put on great shows for us. There was lots of parking which made things easier. Overall a great getaway from the snow and cold back home.

Wow.. what a wonderful experience. The condo was so comfortable, spacious, clean, had an incredible view from the large lanai (right on the ocean). We saw whales and turtles from the lanai too. There's a great farmers market close by, and it is easily accessible to many other attractions and activities.
