This Condo is where we wanted to be, away from the tourist hotspots. We rented the studio, also. We were able to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the island without time constraints. Our days consisted of morning coffee on the lanai listening to the birds and ocean waves while watching the charter boats sail by toward the Nāpali Coast. After breakfast we enjoyed the beauty of the island driving to so many places well known to travelers and places only locals know. Scott suggested buying the book, 'The Ultimate Kauai Guide Book Kauai Revealed by Andrew Doughty' on Amazon. I bought it about 3 months before our trip. Thank you, Scott! It was very informative and gave us great information. The author divides the areas West Shore, Southern Shore, East Shore, and Northern shore. That made it easy to plan excursions for each area on a daily basis. We don't mind the drive it took to explore the island, as we live rurally, so we are use to driving 30 minutes or more one way to work, play, or adventures. It felt like home away from home with insects to boot. It's not an airtight Condo and flora is surrounding it so it's natural. We did need to call Cindy for help identifying and entering the premise, even though we had our instructions, it didn't identify by the Condo numbers that were on the outside of each unit. She was totally understanding and gave clear instructions. Thank you, Cindy. We appreciated how stocked the paper products were and cooking essentials such as spices and oil.

Property owners were so nice and place was so quiet and peaceful. It is on the side of the island that is less touristy but we liked that best.

We had the whole property to ourselves. No other renters below or in front of us. Made use of the barbeque grill on the side of the house. The view from the balcony was great. Walked across the street to view the sunset. Nice property.

We are regular visitors to Kauai. The property is right on the road, but zero noise. Clean, well equipped and beautiful views. The Grill actually had GAS, so we could cook out when we wanted, flowers smelling wonderfully everywhere. The location was fansatic for vistas of Niihau and sunsets on the deck. Kekaha is a small town of locals, with few amenities,,, however..... in town near the post office is a little convenience store with the absolute BEST Poke's and that fantastic hawaiian Maccaroni salad,,, dont miss it !! Turn left on the road to Waimea Canyon and there is a fresh fruit and papaya stand,,,,, dont waste your time anywhere else!! Up the road in Waimea is a steak house that is out of this world, a shave ice stand called Jo Jos that is the ultimate shave ice stand. Big Save grocery has everything you need for food. Right after the hospital a local fisherman sells fresh Ahi Tuna, and locally caught fish,,,, we never went out for dinner after that, cooked fish in the room. The property has a full laundry which is very convenient, beaches are right across the road, dark sands, which are warm even in winter temps,,, always a wonderful breeze, everything was supplied and worked exactly as described in the info we were sent, first VRBO where I had zero issues, zero questions,,, just a super nice relaxing vacation, wonderful beaches, freshest best fruit in the world and delicious coffee and seafood. We will be back!!

This place is quiet for the most part. The front house is not a rental. A family actually lives there with small kids. Cute if you like kids. Not great if they’re not your thing. Just watch out for them when your park.
The stay itself is cute and loved the air conditioning for sure but wish things were a little bit cleaner. Make sure to take advantage of the beach that’s nearby. Nice and quiet. Just wonderful.

My husband and I had a great time. We came to relax and de-stress and that is exactly what happened. We enjoyed the island and the stay. The only con was the distance from everything. We drove a lot! The area the condo was in was fine, it was very quiet and clean. After being out all day we would come back to a hot room but once we turned on the air conditioner it would cool down. If your looking to relax in a quiet and clean area then this is the place!

We had a great experience! Directions 🧭 were great but our flight ✈️ was delayed and we arrived late in the evening and relied on our GPS which did not quite direct us to the correct location. I ended up having to call 📞 Cindy and she was so helpful in guiding us. We were only a couple blocks away and she was able to figure out how to get us to our rental over the phone. We really appreciated her being so kind. Thank you Cindy! 🙏🏽 We rented the back upstairs apartment and once inside we were so happy 😁 with the space and cleanliness. It was perfect. And, although we were in the back apartment, we still had a view of the ocean from the balcony, and we had no problem hearing the ocean waves 🌊. And on a clear night the evening sky ✨ is amazing! Everything we needed was there including beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach towels and even insulated bags and ice chest. We had no worries taking our day trips to the beach 🏖 Although the beach across the street is not accessible it is only a short drive to beautiful beaches nearby. Waimea canyon was also a short drive. We would definitely rent again!

What an awesome place to stay for hiking Waimea canyon! Scott's place proved a great launching area for the hikes my wife, daughter and I took in the canyon and Koke'e state park. In between hikes we visited the beaches at Salt Ponds and Poipu.
The rooms were perfect for us. My 18year old daughter had essentially her own studio which thrilled her. The property is very clean and well cared for. There's lots of room so you don't feel like you've been crammed into a small condo. And it was nice to have A/C in the summer for the evenings when returning from long hike or hot day at the beach. We sleep better with A/C too.
We loved having the beach accessories (chairs, towels, umbrella, etc) for the times we weren't hiking. The chairs while well-used were very functional and worked well; they were Tommy Bahama's I believe.
Had to call in for maintenance once and Kevin, the maintenance tech, took care of the issue while we were gone without interrupting our stay.

Couldn’t reach the property manager for over 3 hours after getting to the place. no direction or guidance for entry provided by the owner. Didn’t provide the code for laundry either. A terrible experience overall.

We had a lovely stay at Hale Kekaha! The ocean was right across the street and we could catch a glimpse of it from our balcony at any time. Rooms were clean and quiet neighborhood, with exception of the roosters, but you just can't get away from them on the island. Laundry and AC were a huge plus. They even had scuba gear, chairs and other beach gear which made packing light much easier! We spent more time driving being on the West side, but for the price you couldn't beat it! Great stay, would come back again!

We had a great stay! Prime location (across the street from the ocean, short walk to the beach), loved having the balcony to watch the sunsets. Appreciated having a parking spot, beach towels, and AC. We had an infant with us and all were very comfortable. Thank you!

This condo is FABULOUS for a myriad of reasons! It was clean, easily accessible, had tons of amenities! We were so sad to leave. The people of Kekaha are so kind and this rental unit is in a fantastic location. We be back for sure!

We LOVED our stay at this property! The owners were incredibly responsive and left everything you could need for a vacation. Loved the laundry room on the property, especially if you plan on hiking! Like others mentioned...Mr. Rooster does crow several times during the night...but we didn't mind and a lot of times the AC white noise covered up the crow. We would wake up and laugh! It was worth being in the location that we were...loved being away from the resorts and close to the road to Waimea Canyon as well as Polihale State Park. Mahalo for having us!

The location of this home is perfect . Directly across the road from the beach. You can hear the waves while eating breakfast ! The units are very nice and well equipped . Beach chairs , snorkel gear , cooler , and so much more ! I honestly do not have 1 complaint . 5 stars all the way around !

Was such a great experience! Being on this side of the Island was a different adventure, which we truly enjoyed. The condo has everything you need and is right across the street from the beach. We enjoyed our morning coffee and a dinner or two sitting on the balcony, you just can't beat that view. We will definitely be back!

Check in details were very clear, no issues finding or getting into the place. It was in a great location, the ac was on when we walked in and that was very considerate. It was everything we wanted for our 10/10 vacation. We loved this place and attached studio. Views were amazing to wake up to every morning and the hammock was a nice touch to listen to the waves and hear the birds.
