This property and owner were deceptive. When we tried to reach out to them about our concerns, we were offered a nominal refund in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prevents negative reviews. Our experience with this property and owner was so disappointing that we felt strongly about not accepting a refund and instead leaving our honest review to help inform other travelers.
Our group was traveling to Maui for a wedding scheduled for a month after the Lahaina fire.
When the wedding was relocated to Wailea, the bride and groom advised us against staying in Lahaina out of respect to the local families. When we reached out to the owner, she was inflexible. We were offered a complete forfeit of our trip or to rebook within a year. Other friends that had scheduled in the same building had their reservations refunded in full. (We could not financially afford to abandon a fully paid reservation and stay elsewhere.)
The unit has a serious cockroach infestation. We understand it is an island location, but the volume and frequency of the cockroaches led us to believe the owner had not maintained her pest control. Cockroaches were coming out of the appliances (including the fridge), drawers and floor. We were so disgusted by the pests, that we did not prepare meals at the condo after the first day. We loved our stay here for our Hawaii vacation! The property was beautiful - unlike some places where the photos are misleading, the photos were spot on to what we got in the property itself. We had plenty of space for our family of 5 and the views of the pools/beach/ocean were phenomenal. The entire resort was beautiful too - the kids loved the pools and it was an easy walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay on a Maui vacation!

Everyone had their own space, quiet environment to sleep even with others up and moving in the condo. The parking was wonderful with the spaces in the garage being directly below. We would definitely stay here again. The property in itself had everything needed for a family of any age.

• Smart TVs in all rooms
• issue with bracelets having to be programmed multiple times

We had an amazing stay in unit 350!! It was everything we imagined times 10. The morning coffee time in the Lanai and evening BBQ’s we’re amazing and will be missed. Our home was equipped with plenty of goodies for the beach and kitchen as well. We are already planning a return visit next summer !!

Property was better than described. Met and exceeded my expectations. The location was great. Overlooked the multiple pools and ocean. Great area for children and adults. Plenty of things to do within walking distance. We have stayed at different places on most of the Hawaiian islands, this was the best. We will definitely stay at this property again in the future.

We had a total of six of us stay at this condo that had an amazing view of Kaanapali beach as well as the tropical pools.
The condo was amazing, with a top-notch kitchen with high quality appliances. An amazing Lanai where we grilled fresh fish and ate outside multiple times. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and suited our needs.
The resort itself is well-maintained. The location of the condo is perfect, just a short walk to the beach as well as the pools.
Kaanapali beach with some of the best snorkeling we had on Maui. I can’t recommend this condo enough, we will definitely try to visit again in the near future

We had a total of six of us stay at this condo that had an amazing view of Kaanapali beach as well as the tropical pools.
The condo was amazing, with a top-notch kitchen with high quality appliances. An amazing Lanai where we grilled fresh fish and ate outside multiple times. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and suited our needs.
The resort itself is well-maintained. The location of the condo is perfect, just a short walk to the beach as well as the pools.
Kaanapali beach with some of the best snorkeling we had on Maui. I can’t recommend this condo enough, we will definitely try to visit again in the near future

My family of 8 (7 adults and a one-year old) really enjoyed this condo. View from the lanai is amazing. The condo is well stocked with everything you will need including beach chairs and toys, ice chest, umbrella, etc. Farzie was prompt and spot on with her communication. I hope this unit is available for our next Kaanapali trip.

The condo was beautiful and is located in an excellent spot. We could take the elevator near our room to the parking garage, the pool area and the condo was right across from Duke's Restaurant (which is fabulous). The beautiful lanai faces the pools, Duke's and the ocean. Amazing views, sunsets and whale watching. The only downside we found to the condo was that there were not enough pots and/or silverware and the chairs, umbrellas, etc. for the beach were in disrepair. We did have to call Farzie with a question and she picked up the phone immediately to help us.

The property surpassed our expectations. The property was very clean. The location was ideal. Our view overlooked the Pacific Ocean as well as several pools on the property. We were in Lahaina with access to several excursions and fine restaurants.
Check in was very smooth even with added COVID protocols. It was an ideal space for a vacation.

Honua Kai resort & spa 3BR/3BA with wrap around lanai oceanfront views. Everything was clean, no complaints with the room conditions & amenities. Main TV could be upgraded perhaps. Resort itself was great for BYOB/DIY food & drink, plus Duke’s was surprisingly good & consistent. COVID has created some lasting pains like standing bar service only, walk-in only restaurant seating , masks throughout the indoor resort etc. resort could use a cosmetic power wash on exterior but the rest of the grounds were well maintained. Beach out front had a rocky shallow reef about 10 yards off waterline which made snorkeling amazing, but you’ll want to go next door to Westin to boogie board. Great trip and this room was worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. The
2 1/2 year old loved the lania and we all enjoyed the view from the lanai. Great location as we were able to walk up shore and wander either way. The pools were great as was the slide. We enjoyed the condo. It was perfect for us, our son, daughter-in-law, grand daughter (2 1/2) and grand son (7 mo) and other grandmother. Weather was perfect!

This was the second time we stayed at Honua Kai. We've rented a 3BR both times, in different buildings. Resort and pools are nice, Duke's on the property is convenient. Mahalo

The view and location and size of the condo is excellent. For the cost, the condition was only fair, there were many cushions that were stained. The appliances were difficult to figure out how to work, as the settings were sometimes not visible (oven control) and there were not instructions on how to use.

Stayed with 6 adults and a baby. Condo faces the ocean for a great view and was bigger than it appeared in the photos. It had everything we needed and more. Highchair, pack and play, fully stocked kitchen, wine fridge, beach chairs, beach toys, baby floats, cooler, etc. The lanai was great overlooking the pool/ocean.
The location is perfect. The resort has all the amenities (pool, restaurant, beach, concierge) that you can use. We booked our excursions through the concierge. There is a nice beach walk connecting numerous other properties. Walked to Whaler's Village numerous times (about a 40 minute walk). We found a food truck park (3 minute drive). Front St. (about a 12 min drive) has great restaurants and some shopping.
Only negative would be the resort's alcohol policy. They do not want you bringing your own alcohol to the pool and will bother you about it. We bought plastic cups to avoid this issue and had no problem after.
Farzie was great to work with. We would stay again!

Overall, our two week stay in Maui at Honau Kai Hokoulani #350 was very rewarding and met all our expectations. Farzie was very pleasant and helpful to deal with every step of the way. The condo was very nice, well equipped and in an excellent location with beautiful views. Only a minor issue with the dishwasher which still operated nicely and the immediate beach area is a bit small compared to all the surrounding beaches.

My family had a wonderful experience at this property. From the beautiful lanai, to the chef's kitchen, to the spacious bedrooms/bathrooms,this place was first class. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything and everything you needed to cook and eat. The closet was filled with beach toys, chairs, and other items you might need for the outdoors. Since we were traveling to celebrate our youngest's first birthday, it was great having a Pack-n-Play and high chair available as well.
Farzie was amazingly helpful from the time I made the reservation to when we checked out. Always available to answer a question and help if I needed anything.
We would love to come back many times in the future!

We've stayed at Honua Kai in the past, and once again it did not disappoint. The condo itself was clean, well supplied and had the bonus of a concierge, Maria, who was delightful, friendly and most helpful. She greeted us in the lobby, showed us to the room and was extremely helpful in that she booked surf lessons for 4 of us during our stay, with little effort on our part other than a simple phone call to her. Thank you Maria! As for booking our unit, Farzie made it seamless and easy. I almost hate to say how fabulous this place is since we want it all to ourselves whenever we can go back, but this truly will become your favorite place too.

We planned a family trip to Maui and we were not disappointed. What a beautiful property in pretty much all inclusive resort. The condo is a spacious three bedroom unit that has everything you need for a relaxing trip. The third floor unit has a wrap around veranda with a built in BBQ unit and seating for 8 (which we definitely took advantage of) that overlooks the resort and it three pools and the best part is you overlook the ocean and it's gorgeous sunsets. It was not uncommon to wake up in the morning grab your coffee and muffin and sit out on the veranda watching the whales breaking the surface of the ocean between Molokai and Lanai, talk about relaxing, unbelievable. The condo has three huge bedrooms all with king size beds and two of the bedrooms have what would be considered luxurious master bathrooms in most homes. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need (except food) to make you feel right at home, the spacious dining area and living room are right off the kitchen which opens up to the veranda where you can open all the sliders and enjoy the cool ocean breeze sweeping through the unit. We brought our 2 yr. old grandson and he had a blast out on the veranda and playing in the three pools just below the condo. The condo is stocked with extras such as boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys for the children to take down to the beach or some of the other beaches close by, you can rent snorkeling gear right across the street to use in the ocean right out front of the condo where we saw two turtles and numerous species of fish and coral. We went with no expectations and left having experienced one of the best vacations we have ever taken. As some of the other reviews stated we are already planning a return trip.

The property location is wonderful- both in Maui and in the resort. West Maui is wonderful and this resort is so close to everything. You can walk to a grocery store and a few restaurants if need be. The condo itself has 3 huge bedrooms and bathrooms, awesome common areas (huge kitchen), and gorgeous lanai. You overlook the pools (lovely pools), and you can see the beach. Duke's restaurant blocks you from seeing the beach a bit (straight ahead view), but you can see the ocean and Molokai from the lanai, and walk to the beach in about one minute. This condo is on the third floor, and far enough from the elevator that you don't hear anything but the ocean. The glass doors/walls all slide away so you can enjoy the cool breezes and hear the ocean. It was wonderful to have beach chairs, toys, and boogie boards. I would definitely stay here again. Our family of 7 loved it!

This condo was absolutely fantastic! We came to Maui with our 1 year old, another couple with a 1 year old, and a third couple-- 6 adults and 2 babies total. The condo was spacious and had a great layout. We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying meals and morning coffee/afternoon cocktails. The condo was very clean throughout and well appointed-- there was a pack-n-play and hi-chair for us to use that were in excellent condition. In the kitchen I also found a Magic Bullet, which was handy when making baby food during our stay. I was impressed by the quality, organization, and condition of the utensils and dishes in the kitchen. We own a vacation rental ourselves and keeping our kitchen equipment organized and in good condition is a struggle! I also loved that there were a lot of useful beach equipment for us to use, like beach chairs, boogie boards, and toddler floaters. No snorkel gear or beach umbrella, but we were able to rent some conveniently from a small outfit across the street from the resort.
Farzie was very responsive from the very beginning. It was nice to know she was just a quick e-mail away.
We would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. In fact, we are already planning our next trip back!

Aloha - From the moment we discovered this unit everything was top-notch. Farzie responded to my inquiry almost immediately, we found available dates, & we were ready to plan our fabulous trip to Maui. Booking and payment were easy, and believe the description of the unit. All you really need to bring is a swimsuit and a pair of water shoes (highly recommended for pretty much everything we did on the island), rent some snorkel equipment for the week across the street at Snorkel Bob's, & you're all set. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and make tropical drinks. We are a family of 6 - 3 couples and the unit was perfect. The initial draw to the unit was the grill on the lanai, and we certainly utilized it. Eating & having a beverage on the lanai while enjoying the sunset and view was lovely. Life really doesn't get much better than that.
I contacted Farzie about 2 months before our trip because we were interested in hiring a chef for an evening. As with everything Farzie responded immediately giving me the names of their greeters Candice & Maria. They are gems. I worked with Maria prior to our arrival booking a chef and a luau, and Candice met us when we arrived. Candice walked us through the unit explaining everything. We honestly thought the pictures of the unit don't do it justice, it is just that gorgeous of a place, and actually the unit looks exactly like the pictures. Candice also gave us shopping suggestions, ideas of things to do, & was quick to respond when I called asking for fishing suggestions. When Candice & Maria recommend anybody named Rob you need not look further. We used Rob Lucas at www.letmeshowyoumaui.com for the highlight of our trip - the road to Hana, and Chef Rob Mason www.rjgourmet.com for a special gourmet dinner. I would highly recommend booking both prior to your arrival, & definitely do a "Let me show you Maui" tour early in your visit, as Rob is such a wealth of information we utilized his recommendations the rest of the week.
This unit and everyone connected to the stay will not disappoint you. Wonderful place, wonderful people, wonderful Island. We can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful condo located in a resort with swimming pools, hot tubs and beaches all right there. The view was fantastic! The outdoor kitchen was a wonderful addition!! The villa is stocked with beach accessories that make for a fun day at the beach!! Would love to come back here again!! Thanks for everything!!
