Words can’t do this place justice. 2 parents and 4 teenagers stayed and everyone agreed, it was our amazing stay of all our trips. The house fit our group perfect and there were 2 people per bathroom and 2 im each bedroom. The upstairs has a couch and a futon type bed. It was too small to fit 2 teenagers but one was fine sleeping on the couch. The views are AMAZING!!! You see sunrises, turtles on rocks, turtles swimming, turtles sunbathing. The outdoor space is so nice to eat at, relax at and just chill. We spent a lot of time outdoors. You can snorkel just outside the house down the stairs and baby beach is a 2 minute walk. You can walk to all the stores. The location is perfect to get to everything within 40 minutes. We will absolutely be back!!!! We would highly recommend this stay to anyone. It was absolute perfection!!!

We loved staying at the perfectly named Hale Honu. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We watched the turtles and enjoyed using the bbq and eating meals outside. There are so many beautiful plants in the gardens and a wonderful view of the river and the ocean.
Many beautiful beaches are within walking distance.
We would highly recommend a stay at this house!

We loved staying at the perfectly named Hale Honu. The house is beautiful and in a great location. We watched the turtles and enjoyed using the bbq and eating meals outside. There are so many beautiful plants in the gardens and a wonderful view of the river and the ocean.

The beds were huge and comfortable., the kitchen was a dream to cook in and the bathrooms had amazing showers with the best water pressure. The A/C in each bedroom made our nights very comfortable. This vacation rental is an absolute DREAM! It was immaculate and very up to date/modernized. We traveled to Maui a few years back and this is when we learned that air conditioning was not “common” in Hawaii. I was hopeful since there were only units in the bedrooms that we wouldn’t be miserable. It was so breezy with the sliding doors open upstairs and down that air conditioning was absolutely not needed. We spent most of our time on the lanai watching the turtles. At the end of our trip (sadly) we discovered there was access to actually swim with the turtles. This hidden gem was just steps from the front door around the corner. We would definitely recommend staying here, you won’t regret it!!

Pictures online do not do this property justice!! From the moment we walked through the gate our jaws dropped! So much charm. The windows and doors, the decor, the views, the sound of the waves and the constant trade winds coming through was spectacular. Waking up every morning to watch the sea turtles head out to the ocean & waiting for them each night to come back to the cove was so fun. The location was perfect and walking distance to great shops and only a mile drive to our favorite beach @ the Sheraton. We loved our stay so much, we booked it again for next year. The house was fully stocked with all the necessities. Garden Isle Rentals were wonderful and I loved their communication with us via text from the moment we landed on the island!! Mahalo!!!!!!

If you enjoy watching turtles then this view will never get old. Not to mention the sound of the waves, it so soothing and you will sleep like a baby. Perfect location to walk to a small sandy beach a block away. The condo is very nice for cooking and bbq. We enjoyed the comfort of the unit and the view. We will definitely be back!!

This was our second trip to this special home over looking turtle cove. Not only is Hale Honu beautiful but it has everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay. The location is in a gorgeous quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We appreciate everything about this amazing home and hope to stay again soon.

Had a great time at "the turtlehouse". Great location! Two minutes away from shopping, restaurants, and numerous beaches. Often spent afternoons just watching the turtles from the deck. Grilled twice for dinner on the nice gas barbeque. Beds were super comfortable, furnishings beautiful and kitchen well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. Outdoor shower an added plus. There was a beautiful flower arrangement on the dining table when we arrived. What management company gives that much attention to detail. Can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous home in a perfect location on the south shore! Walking distance to the market and shopping! Baby beach is less than a 3 minute walk! I chose this house for two reasons: The turtles and the kitchen! Neither were a let down. We cooked almost every meal with local produce and fresh fish and sat on the lanai to eat! We had a lovely stay at Hale Honu. It has a nice view of the ocean and is well-situated to catch all of the ocean breeze. We threw open all the windows every day and didn't need the AC. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed and had very sharp knives and a nice assortment of spices and necessities, which is always nice. The house itself is very solidly built and everything felt high end and well-designed.
I saw one lone turtle on the first day we were there and was quite happy, but every day, we saw more and more! We saw about 22 on a busy day. You can see them best from the second floor balcony. The turtles tend to hang out at the base of the waterfall and on the rocks.
One thing worth mentioning is that Koloa Landing is easy to access from the house, but the current was quite strong the entire time we were there. I'm quite experienced and did not find it easy to snorkel there and I observed others snorkel, but also leave shortly after they entered the water. The ocean may be calmer in winter.

My husband and our two adult daughters spent a wonderful week here at Hale Honu. The layout of home worked perfectly for us. The decor is simply beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean. The views of the ocean and Turtle Cove are spectacular. It’s great being so close to many stores and restaurants as well. We are sad to leave and hope we can return one day soon. Mahalo!!

This was a make-up vacation for the one we had planned during COVID19 lockdowns. We were pleased to find a house for rent when so many rentals are condos. The location was lovely with views of the ocean, turtle cove, and turtles every day. The house is either new or very recently renovated, everything clean and bright. The kitchen and laundry were well equipped, and there were beach accessories for our use. The walk to Baby Beach is 0.3 miles, an easy walk, and the one we preferred because it is more private. Depending on how much you want to walk, there are beaches along this path that are a nice walk. The house location is an easy drive to other beaches and activities throughout the island. We did a helicopter tour, NaPali Coast boat tour with NaPali Pirates, hiked Waimea Canyon, and kayaked to Uluwehi falls, all within less than an hour drive.
Our family of 4 worked well here with the parents in the upstairs master, one teen in the downstairs room, and one teen in the upstairs sitting room, sleeping on the daybed. There are 3 full baths so each girl had her own space. We were concerned the upstairs sitting area (not air-conditioned ) might be warm, but the ocean breezes were crisp, and we hardly used AC at all during the stay. The wifi worked well for those of us who still had a few work or school meetings.
We were so glad to have a private space during these tenuous times. We enjoyed most meals on the lanai and were glad to have the full kitchen because many restaurants seemed overwhelmed. Hale Honu was terrific! We would stay here again on returns to beautiful Kauai!

Wow, Hale Honu really was something special. You can really tell how much pride the owners and property managers have in this home. Check in was seamless and there were no issues along the way. We saw so many turtles in the stream while we sat on the patio and deck. My kids thought it was the most magical place ever. The construction and decor of the home is literally goals. We miss it already!

We had such a wonderful stay at Hale Honu. The house is absolutely beautiful with top notch furnishings and very well maintained. If you love sea turtles you must stay here, we saw turtles everyday with a high count of 22 at one time - it was really special. The house is located on a quiet side street but within walking distance of The Shops at Kukui’ula and Baby Beach. My wife and I traveled with my wife’s parents so the layout worked great for us, parents used the downstairs bedroom and bath while we had the main bedroom and bath upstairs. And with living ares upstairs and downstairs it allowed for people to have space if needed. Opening up the windows and shutters provided nice breezes and kept the home very comfortable, having AC in the bedrooms for sleeping was very nice. The kitchen is gorgeous with everything you could possibly need and an awesome BBQ outside that I was thrilled to use. We didn’t have any issues during our stay that necessitated contacting the vacation rental agency but we did have to reschedule our stay from July 2020 to July 2021 (due to a global pandemic you may have heard about) and they were great with that change. We can’t wait to stay at Hale Honu again and would highly recommend you stay here too.

We had a great time. The house is fully equipped and beautifully decorated. The view surpassed our expectations. Watching sea turtles and even a monk seal play in the cove right below our balcony was incredible. The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything .

My family of four (2 adults + 2 teenaged kids) stayed in this house for 2 weeks and we had an absolutely WONDERFUL time! The house is well designed and beautifully decorated. The images online don't do it justice... the house is much close to the ocean that the picture make it look. Most of the windows in the house are adjustable storm blinds which we kept open most of the day, and gave the house an open, airy, breezy feeling that was just heaven. The kitchen was well appointed and it had everything we needed from dishes, pots, pan, all the necessary kitchen tools. The stainless appliances were high quality and looked brand new. We also used the BBQ a few times and it was awesome. The air conditioning (in the bedrooms only) was fantastic for cool, cozy sleeping, but not needed at all during the day with the breeze through the house keeping everything else a very comfortable temp. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were clean and new. I could go on forever about all of the wonderful qualities of this home, but will probably run out space-- so suffice it to stay that you should book this house will absolute confidence that you will have a comfortable, relaxing and memorable stay!
