The gated area of home was beautifully landscaped with tropical plants. The lanai wrapped around the entire home and had several gathering spaces with beautiful views. We sat out watching the enormous waves and watched the sunrise and sunset everyday. The beach was right outside the back door. My young adult children played spike ball on the back law . Tunnels beach and the other surrounding beaches were short walks away We saw a sea turtle and a monk seal resting in the sun on the beach as well as about twenty sea turtles swimming around shallow waters of tunnels beach. The inside of the house has a huge dining table that seats 10. We played family games every night. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The living space was also welcoming and comfortable and roomy. We had a wonderful trip and hope to come back again in May! This was the most beautiful house with magical views!

Incredible location, right on the beach. It’s isolated from restaurants and shops, of course, but that was our goal. We stocked up with groceries ahead of time so that we could stay put for our stay. The patio, star gazing from the lawn chairs in the middle of the yard, the ocean breeze through the house, the gorgeous vegetation on the premises…. It was just perfect.
Also, because the beach immediately outside is a little rougher, there were very few members of the public out there (I saw one person on “our” beach during our stay) . It’s a quick enough walk to the calm waters of Tunnels Beach, and the house was well stocked with snorkels and beach chairs etc
Unlike typical rental units furnished with a minimum of necessary things, this house is full of loving details and beautiful objects. I wish we had stayed longer. In a cost saving attempt, we relocated to a cheaper rental condo in Princeville after our dream-like stay in this house, but we regretted it the entire time. This house is worth the expense. If we can ever come back and stay there again, we would be so lucky! Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at this gorgeous house.

Upon arriving to this beautiful property the drive down the long driveway is stunning and even more so when exploring on foot. The landscaping alone is 5 stars.
The house itself was perfect for our short stay of five nights. The kitchen is fully equipped and the large dining room table was perfect for our party of Eight friends. Our French friends couldn't believe how many tools were in the kitchen alone. A ton of Oh La La's were spoken.
The deck overlooking the beach was where we spent the majority of our leisure time kicking back on the spacious chairs and couch.We appreciated the back deck as well. There is a gate that leads directly to the beach. A short walk around the corner and you can watch the beautiful sunset and visit tunnels beach for great snorkeling.
I love this area of Kauai!! So majestic. Lush green tropical plants surround the property. We found the beds to be comfortable ( be careful of the edges of the upstairs bed frame )and everything we needed was provided. Look no further when thinking about renting a house in this area. I could easily live there.

Had a Great Time! Saw lots of the island and still had plenty of time to enjoy our accommodations. Being right on the shore was a real treat. Very private and beautiful. We also had a surprise wedding in the back yard which my Brother-in-Law & Fiancée made all the arrangements prior to our trip. All the family was there to make the day even more special. The back yard with the ocean beach in the background was so beautiful!

We stayed at Haena Point in early July. The house, as others have stated, is wonderful. The best thing is the view of the ocean from the upstairs lanai. The chairs have pillows and are extremely comfortable. We spent most of our time just sitting out there talking and watching the ocean. Occasionally, a rain shower would come through causing the rain chains to work; that was also satisfying. Sunrise through the palm trees is spectacular.
The set up of the house is very convenient. We did not have any issues with the kitchen and the grill got a workout during our trip. Beds were good and sleeping was great. The trade winds kept the house plenty cool. Falling asleep to the sound of the surf and wind through the palm trees was satisfying.
We really enjoyed flowers, plants, and wildlife around the property. There are orchids growing on the trees, small water gardens with tiny little fish in them, cane toads, geckos, anole lizards, and multiple birds. The whole set up is such a nice get away from everyday life.
The access to the ocean could not be easier – the water right outside the house is a little rough but swimmable for the water-confident person. The short walk (~15 minutes) in the sand to Tunnels was a requirement for us every day; the swimming and snorkeling at Tunnels is excellent. The beach walks were beautiful as well. We saw turtles in the shallow part just north of the house and even sighted a monk seal one day. The house has lots of beach gear and a heated outside shower to rinse off the salt water.
Other things that we recommend while on the North Shore:
• Hiking the Kalalau trail. The house is only about 5 minutes away by car but don’t forget to get your permit.
• Boat ride along the Napali coast. We use Holo Holo Charters and were pleased.
• A trip to Waimea Canyon was a long drive but worth it. We stopped at Auntie Lilikoi for the passion fruit bars followed by a stop at the Kauai Coffee Company on the way back.
• Hanalei Dolphin Fish Market – we bought our fish here the entire time. The sushi rolls are delicious.
• Mangoes for sale along the road. About 5-10 miles south past Princeville, you will find roadside stands selling mangoes. We loaded up on the mangoes – they were stupendous. Much better than anything you can get on the mainland.
The property manager (Lisa) was super easy to work with. We did not have any issues with the house while we were there. The property is as good as it gets for a wonderful,

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Hawaiian home. The property is gorgeously tropical and the furnishings are very clean and comfortable with a chic Hawaiian vibe. The views from the main floor and porch are spectacular. The porch is well furnished and suited for enjoying the weather rain or shine. It is a short 15 min stroll to Tunnels beach where the swimming and snorkeling are amazing. The home had several sets of snorkeling gear so our family of 5 were all set. We would love to return to this beautifully situated home!

A comfortable stay for our group of 8.
We love the north side of the island and felt like we were in the best location and house with the best views. We seen whales breaching right from the deck, turtles, seals, and beautiful fish. The house is just minutes from Hanalei & Princeville.
The beach was quiet and beautiful, walks on the beach we’re quiet and gorgeous and allowed us to walk both east & west for a long way in both directions.
We had to do some quiet a bit of driving to get to the east and south part of the island but we were ok with that. We were there in February so the waves were too strong to swim.
The accommodations were sufficient. The property could use some restocking. There was a lack of towels, beach towels, and coffee cups. 8 guests and sleeps 8 yet only 6 coffee cups, 5 beach towels and only just enough bath towels so if one got dirty there weren’t any additional towels to use. Several lights burnt out so bulbs in need of replacement. The gate didn’t work the way it should and with only one opener to get out we had to be running back and forth with the opener.
The gate was fixed during our stay so that was great. I made the property mgr aware of the rest of the items so hopefully the next guests have more available to them.
Lisa was great and easy to work with. Very responsive and helpful whenever we had a concern or questions.
Overall, our stay here was outstanding and we’d positively stay here again!

The house, property and location are unbelievable. The house is perfect for a group of 8. Big enough yet cozy. So well appointed, sophisticated and comfortable. The house had everything we needed. The wrap around lanai got a lot of use, including the day bed. The property is magnificent - including a huge lawn fronting the ocean. Pictures just don't do it justice. The location is incredible. Feels like you are in the jungle, yet on the ocean. 5 minute walk to Tunnels Beach and one of the most spectacular views anywhere. We spent several nights watching the sunset from Tunnels with Bali Hai in the background. The snorkeling right out front was amazing; There aren't enough superlatives. We love Kauai and have visited the south shore before. Ha'ena (and Hanalei) are a different level. Wish we could keep this hidden treasure hidden! Lisa the manager is also incredible. Great communication, responsive and accommodating. Cant wait to be back. Mahalo!

My family of 5 enjoyed staying at this fantastic beach front property. The home and grounds are spectacular and the home has everything you need for a stay. We really liked walking to Tunnels for snorkeling and swimming and also enjoyed the quiet area and amazing ocean views. Lisa was the most gracious host. Mahalo!

This may be the best beach location in Kauai. Nice breezes, gorgeous sand, spectacular view you can't take your eyes off, privacy... I spent a week with family and friends and the property worked perfectly. Lots of space for all six of us to spread out without feeling like there was too much room. It seemed as through the house had a recent cosmetic overhaul, as many of the materials appeared new, which was nice. As well, the interior decoration was surprisingly tasteful and made for nice hanging out inside. The deck in front is amazing--a perfect place to hang out and watch the ocean. The kitchen is big, well-stocked, and fairly pleasant as far as rental kitchens go.
I considered a number of rental properties in the area, and having now been to the North Shore and seen the other options, can safely say this was absolutely the right spot for us. Some of the competing properties in the same (fairly hefty) price range appeared a bit rough around the edges, some set way back in the trees, a little jungly.
A few small things hardly worth noting, but might prove mildly annoying to some: the lower floor hallway and adjoining areas had (until aired out) a slight musty smell--I think from some of the reclaimed wood pieces used to furnish the house--the main shower didn't have a soap holder, the knob for the outdoor foot shower was rusted so rust ended up on hands sometimes, and the main entrance to the beach is through the bathroom downstairs. These things really didn't bother us at all, but want to be comprehensive about the criticism.
The house is a very basic two-level design--tasteful, but nothing Earth shattering or overly-luxurious. Very functional with nice decorative details. Nice bedding!
I should also mention how nice and responsive the property managers are. they stopped by to make sure things were as we hoped and responded right away when needed.
I would absolutely stay here again and I'm hesitant to write more for fear of ruining the secret.

The house is located on a beautiful property with a very nice beach steps away. It was very well kept and had the most amazing view from the lanai. The bottom level has two bedrooms with king beds on the ocean side and one bedroom with two twin beds (not ocean front but could hear the waves with the windows open). Upstairs is the living room and kitchen and another bedroom with a king bed (also not ocean front but with the doors open the waves were audible). This bedroom had an outdoor bed located on it's part of the lanai which was perfect for afternoon naps! The beach located near this property is not exactly calm waters but if you are looking for big beautiful waves and not swimming then it is perfect for you. A short walk away is a beach that is safe to swim and snorkle at. I loved every moment we spent at this house and would not hesitate to go back again. It was not in a touristy area but had plenty to do near it. The airport was about 1.5 hours away but the drive to it was very pretty in itself. The staff taking care of the house and Sonja the concierge were very helpful.
