We had an amazing time staying at this house. The location was super convenient for almost everything we planned to do in Kauai. Very clean and up to date, well stocked with everything we needed for the beach. The neighborhood is very safe and seems family oriented. Baby Beach is a nice gem a few steps away. We were momentarily concerned about no AC however we really never needed it because of the great airflow through the home. I would consider staying here again if the opportunity presented itself.

For a large group, especially if children are involved, this rental is perfect. Lots of beach equipment available and the Pac n Play was a life saver. Lots of room in and out. Close to Baby beach, Lawai beach and snorkel at Kaloa landing. The only caution is this home has no air conditioning and can bake in the afternoon sun. Use the windows/doors for correct air flow and use the window coverings. Full length curtains and darker shades would help. But, hey, it's Kaua'i and the sun shines. Make the most of it.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was in a great location right next to a small beach. It was our first time to Hawaii but hopefully not the last. Our travel party was comprised of 10 local retirees. The property was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans. The appliances were modern, even the washing machine and dryer.The prevailing tradewinds and overhead fans helped keep the house cool.

The space was great for our family of 6 adults and 4 children—including a 10-month-old. There were lots of toys and equipment for the beach, house, and yard and good baby equipment for the 10-month-old (he loved the walker). Fortunately it didn't rain much while we were there, so we were able to eat our dinners at the large table on the deck. We enjoyed being able to easily go back and forth between the house and Baby Beach.

We loved the house and it was perfect for our 3 generation family of 9, 6 adults and 3 children under 5. It was wonderful being so close to a very safe beach and being able to easily walk back and forth with the little ones for lunches and naps. We also appreciated being able to walk to restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped all sizes of pots and pans and every imaginable appliance. We ate outside on the beautiful wrap around porch most every evening. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs, etc. for our time at the beach. The real plus for us with two 2-year olds in our group was all the gear provided for the little ones including pack and plays, plastic dishes and sand toys. It really felt like home and we would love to return someday!

My family and I spent a glorious week in this very well appointed property. Only a 5 min walk to Baby Beach, great for little ones. The amount of amenities provided was outstanding. We hope to be able to return again someday. Kauai is a very beautiful place to visit. A lovely shopping centre was walking distance away. Best ice-cream at Lappert's.

This was a family vacation with three generations and the house worked beautifully. Well equipped kitchen and lots of towels and linens. The clothes washer really needs servicing and we let the owner know as our clothing and towels we washed came out pretty much as we put them in. We'd recommend the house and would stay there again with our family group.

This property was very well maintained and the kitchen well appointed. There were also additional items included to make your stay pleasant. We loved the location as it was close to all the major beaches on the south side with Baby Beach so close we could see it from the end of the driveway. We walked down to that beach each night to watch the breathtaking sunsets. I also appreciated having chairs, umbrellas and boogie and a surf board available for our use. Restaurants and shopping were within a very short walk. The only issue we had was that the heat made it difficult to get to sleep some nights for those staying in the rooms where there were only small windows and no sliding doors. Several additional large fans and/or room air conditioners would be great. I would bring my family back here again. It was a great stay in paradise for all of us!

The place was so well stocked it felt like home. The owner was responsive when we needed some help with the grill's propane. The ocean and beach gear provided was definitely a plus. Overall, the home suited our needs. Had plenty of beach gear for our use, as well as a good amount of space for our group of 9. It sleeps 10, but that’s based on each bed and the sleeper sofa sleeping 2 each (aside from the room with the twin beds). The location was perfect…only a short walk to baby beach, and maybe 3-5 mins from Poipu. The home was fairly clean, however, there were items left around from what I assume was the previous renters, such as towels, and some opened food items in the lower level refrigerator, leaving it feeling as if the cleaning was not as thorough as it could have been. Communication with property manager during our stay was challenging, and when attempting to gain clarification on items instructed in manual, the replies were delayed, didn’t happen or were unclear. We attempted to leave things as instructed, however many were not in the locations as noted in the manual

(10 day stay)…loaded up at Costco in Lihue, cooked most meals (our choice), cleaned and laundered when necessary.
•Located w/in 1 mile east/west…of surf beaches, snorkeling, scuba.
-Baby Beach is steps away, perfect for the littles, and beginning snorkelers. The house has various sized sets of snorkel gear, fins and water shoes, and beach supplies.
-Recommend “Hawaiian Style Surf” lessons for beginners 1 mile east at Kiahuna beach.
•Close walking distance to a little outdoor shopping plaza (clothing, souvenirs, art galleries, Long’s Drugstore, Lapperts ice creamery, restaurants/bar).
•1.5 miles from Spouting Horn and The McBryde & Allerton Botanical Garden (highly recommend).
Home away from home, great place to just chill or return to at the end of our multiple activities throughout the day. We’d definitely stay here again.

Our extended family had a wonderful stay. The quick walk to baby beach for sunrise and critter sightings, walking or running trail, and close to all other amenities. The home was stocked! We found absolutely everything needed for our beach based week.

We stayed 3 nights and were gone most of the days. Do to COVID we only used a few items in the house items in the kitchen after we clean them first. This was not to say that they were not clean already, just an extra layer of protection. There was one exception, one of the toilets looked as they had been used and not cleaned very well. The red dirt was evident in the cracks and crevices through the house, but through out the whole island this could be found. This still gets 5 stars overall.

The house was the perfect property for our family! The rooms were spacious, and plenty of open spaces to hang out and have fun with the family. It was well-stocked with the essentials, plus tons of beach towels and other fun stuff for the beach. It's a few steps away from a small, quiet, beautiful beach. This was the absolute most perfect house for our group of 9 adults!!! Our daughter’s wedding was very close by so this house was a prize location for us. Overall, we enjoyed our family vacation here.
What I liked the most was the layout of the house. It was just perfect to us. Small kids who need a nap and early bed time stayed on the first floor, away from the noise on upstair. And it was a little cooler than the 2nd floor so that they were able to sleep around lunch time without A/C. We did BBQ on a balcony and sunset was beautiful. Kitchen was remodeled and clean with lots of dishes, cups, utensils, etc. Communication with a property manager was easy, prompt, and informative. Overall, it was a good stay.
Two things I did not like about the house were a washing machine and bugs.
Because there were small kids, I had to use a washing machine and it was really dirty: mold was visible and it smelled awful. I wanted to buy my own detergent for mold, but Lung's drug did not have it. My husband rubbed it with a regular laundry detergent and I had to cycle the machine couple of times before I use it. All the towels at the house smelled awful and I found out that it was because of that washing machine.
And every night at a bathroom on the first floor, I encountered a cockroach. It was really unfortunate. I am not sure if this house needs a pest control or cockroaches are just everywhere in Kauai. Luckily, they were not found on the 2nd floor where my parents and my cousins stayed. I did not tell them about it, so, other family members were all happy about the house.
Kauai was humid and hot when we stayed there on May and staying at the house without A/C was not easy. We cooked every dinner and got sweaty easily. I heard that many homes at Kauai don't have A/C. So, I don't complain, but if there was A/C it would have been a lot better.

Location, quality of accommodation, service and cleanliness are all first class. 5 to 8 minute walk to high end shopping center with great dining and drinking venues (amazing happy hour options). Koloa shops and restaurants 10 minute drive. 5 minutes to Baby Beach even with umbrellas, towels, toys and two year old in tow. Good surfing beach a bit further along. Everything works(wifi, tvs, appliances etc) washer/dryer combo big enough to handle daily wash for 10+. I felt really comfortable quietly sitting on deck at midnight just listening to waves. All my queries and questions were responded to quickly. I really don’t have a reason not to go back.

I didnt expect a few niceties, such as a can of coffee in the cupboard, soap in the bathrooms. The house is stocked with beach stuff. The backyard is on a fairly busy street but it was ok.we selected this house because it was so close to baby beach, where we walked to get married. Our group of 10 was quite comfortable in Hale Beach House for our ten day stay in Poipu. Accommodations were just right for our 3 couples, with a separate bedroom for each. Our group's 6 and 4 year-olds shared a 4th bedroom with single beds, our 13 year-old had a hide-a-bed in the separate downstairs area, and our 2 year-old used a pack and play. The kids spent numerous hours at nearby very safe baby beach, and we observed several sunsets from there.
The house is walking distance from a shopping area with many restaurant options.
I'd recommend the house for any large group, especially one with young children.

Fit 8 comfortably. Loaded main kitchen in upstairs with all the supplies one could hope for. There was even an Instapot! 30 minutes from Lihue, the location in Poipu is a great base for exploring Kauai. Close attractions include the Allerton Gardens and the Sprouting Horn blowhole. Baby beach is walking distance with great sunset view. Poipu Beach Park is also a 5 min drive (or 15-20 min walk) away. Shopping and groceries are within walking distance at the Kukui'ula Village Shopping Center. Highly recommend!

-Plenty of seating in the living room (though a bigger kitchen table would have been nice)
Note to people staying here: keep the blinds in the living room shut during the day to keep temperatures down.

This lovely home was great for our family of nine—four generations, ages 82 to 15 months. The downstairs apartment was perfect for the couple with the toddler, the outside shower was great after the short walk back from Baby Beach. The kitchen was well supplied with spices, paper products, wrap, etc.
We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and to shopping. Smith Family Luau and mud buggy’s were big hits with the entire family.

It was the perfect place for my girls and their families. 6 adults 2 teens, and 3 babies.
Absolutely beautiful house... with everything needed, even a baby gate! We loved the parakeets, noisy but amazing to watch ... sunrise and sunset, they were there. Baby’s beach truly is a 90 second walk. Shops and restaurants short walk as well. Promise you will love this place. We will be back.

This 2 story family home, provided us an exceptional location for easy walking and family fun. 4 houses away from Baby Beach, we took the toddler grandson there daily! A five minute walk from Kukui ula Mall, everything we needed was just moments away. The lower floor apartment accomodated our family member who needed a cane, and gave hime privacy from the kids above. Having TWO pack and play beds, allowed the 6 month old to nap in a bedroom, and be in the center living space, safe and sound. Well appointed kitchen, tons of towels and beach toys and mats - just pack your swimsuit and you are set. Perfect for multi generational guest. We'll be back again next year!

We had two families staying in the house and it was very nice. Plenty of sleeping space and the kitchen and family room was large enough for us all to get together. Very nice extras including soap and shampoo in all the bathrooms and plenty of bath and beach towels. But a great extra is two bicycles, water shoes, snorkel gear and boogie boards. For those who have purchased and left boogie boards in the past you will appreciate the value. The location worked very well. It is walking distance to Baby Beach and a short drive to Poipu Beach. Poipu itself is convenient to all parts of the island. It is also on the dry side so the weather is usually great. The responsiveness from the manager was great. We would stay here again and highly recommend the property.
Just to be complete, there are a couple of minor issues that some people might care about. The birds, parakeets I believe, are very loud each morning. And the kitchen and family room area can get warm in the middle of the day. Compared to the positives these were very minor to us but others might be sensitive to different things. My advice - don’t worry about those things this is a great house.

This is a well-designed house for a family vacation on Kauai. All the amenities are there, including an excellent BBQ, lots of towels, and a good coffee grinder. The house is a short walk from "Baby Beach," a beautiful, small sandy beach that is perfect for small children. Highly recommended.

My family and I are from Oahu and have never been on Kauai. Figuring that born and raised on the island and never been. Why not go to Kauai?! I've never rented a home before. This really is my first time doing this. It was difficult finding a place for our 2 night stay. Everyone else required 3 at least. I was searching for weeks while I was working and learning how this all works. Extremely lucky to found this. There was some payment issues. But nothing to do Shelly. It was the site and I was at panic mode worried I'll lose the place. I was able to pay over the phone and she was EXTREMELY nice about it and very helpful. That was a plus to hear how friendly she is over the phone.
The House! I honestly didn't expect it to be so accommodating! I had brought my own towels not knowing there's a closet with 50 towels for our use! The house was hot when we arrived. there was no ac. However, it is Hawaii and it gets cool at night and we literally was 3 minutes of walking from the beach. There was many homes without ac there and they make do. There was a lot of fans to use for the house. We brought our own shampoos and soap. They also had for us. The house was supplied! Pots, pans, plates, forks, all that. They even had kept back the donated paper plates, red cups, forks and stuff from previous renters. HOW AWESOME WAS THAT! To top it off. There was 2 bikes in the garage to ride around the area. A VERY BIG NEW NICE SET OF WASHER AND DRYER! It was a life saver because we barely brought clothes. There was a charcoal grill and a propane grill. A pressure washer to wash the car in case you need to return your rental cleaned if you went through red dirt. Open the garage closets and you'll find Snorkeling gear. I KNOW RIGHT?!!! Can it get any better?! YES! A huge yard to have outdoor activities and there was game boards in the closets. Netflix and a very upgraded kitchen to cook comfortably in with the view to watch the kids and watch tv. Very open concept. LOVE IT!. My family was like " WOW!!! GREAT JOB JEN!!!" I know...and I will take full credit for booking such a great place. If I ever do come back to Kauai. I will book here again. Costco was 20 minutes away if you wanna go bulk. But Longs/CVS was minutes away. A little nice town minutes away as well to walk the night and have dinner. I just really enjoyed our stay so much. I know the cleaning fee is already included. But I just felt the need to tip the Cleaning lady for a job well done on the house.

I don't think this trip would have been so enjoyable had we chosen a hotel or condo. Being able to cook and have laundry facilities simplified our lives tremendously. We didn't need a single thing, you have thought of everything. We visited many of Poipu's sites, including the Baby Beach, Blowing Horn, Shopping Center, etc. I would recommend your home to everyone I know traveling to Hawaii. Thanks again for sharing with us!

Our family (7 adults, 2 kids, 4 and 1-1/2) rented this house last August. We all agree this was the best vacation ever and the house had a lot to do with it. The house was very well kept and is located in a small quite neighborhood within walking distance to a beach for the kids and the best snorkeling next to the Beach House restaurant. The house came with lots of beach towels, 5 bikes, beach toys, mats and some snorkeling gear. There is a large outdoor table on the upper deck where we ate every meal and played cards every night. We put a baby gate across the top of the steps on the deck and never had to worry about the kids being outside on the deck. A big bonus-my daughter and I ran the Kauai half-marathon and the course was so close to the home we were greeted by our family just before the finish line. Amazing race! Shelley was great to work with and made the rental process easy and seamless. We would highly recommend this home and plan to come back someday.

We had a wonderful time staying at the house for a week. The downstairs living area was a Godsend. My sister and her family (2 adults and 1 small child and a baby) stayed down there while six adults stayed upstairs. It was easy for my sister to get away and have quiet time for the kids while the adults played upstairs. It worked out perfectly. The house is the perfect size. The had every amenity you could think of including a blowdryer and spices in the kitchen which came in very handy. We used the bar-b-que every day of our stay, except for two. Loved having all of the towels and washer and dryer. This house is about 20 minutes from Costco so it was very convenient for us. The children's toys and pack-and-play were a pleasant unexpected surprise. We loved the bikes and beach items (chairs, towels and coolers). Very comfortable house. Had enough room for everyone. Highly recommend. Great price too.

I had the great pleasure of spending 3 weeks at this beach house & boy was it awesome! First off I want to say that the owner Shelley is so great! She is prompt with emails and is so on top of everything. I was very impressed with how seamless the renting process ran with her (and I have rented vacation properties else where before!). She has this down to an art :) The house itself is GREAT! It has everything. We were able to save a lot of money by cooking ourselves and it had it all right there. Pots, pans, dishes, etc! The place was loaded with bath towels and beach towels too. We did not want for anything. It was incredible the amount of beach & sand equipment and toys that are on hand at the house. Even bikes to ride, yep, they are in the garage!! Every day we loaded up on what we needed and walked to Baby Beach. It was truly a blessing to be so close to that beach. For my 2 little ones, that beach is PERFECT! And sunsets on that beach are simply breath taking. We had a photographer come over and we did family photos on that beach, that is how much we loved the views.
This was my 8th trip to Kauai and yet my first staying in a vacation rental on Poipu. I did not want to leave! I really felt like a local. I absolutely blended right into the culture and the everyday living and enjoyed it. The house sat perfectly amongst the tourism of the hotels and yet still within the neighborhoods. We went to Lapperts almost daily. Did our grocery shopping at Big Save. Ate our share of Puka Dogs. Did a lot of tourist stuff, of course, like mountain tubing with Backcountry Adventures (MUST DO!!!!), and kayaked the Wailua River (with a hike to Secret Falls~ do it with Wailua Kayaking), plus drove the Waimea Canyon all the way around the rim and also went to North Shore for the day. We kept busy!!! So overall, we had a great time and no matter what we did or where we went we always came back to a wonderful house to sleep. We had no issues or complaints at all. The house is updated, clean, spacious and it has Wi-fi (for free, which all the hotels charge, so that was great). The house, overall was better then expected which was great. I am very very happy and will recommend anyone and everyone to definitely stay here. I am already thinking about next Summer's trip. Hoping to be longer then 3 weeks :)

Wow, what a wonderful home in an nice, quiet neighborhood. Beautifully remodeled and spacious. And clean. We were 5 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. Well stocked with beach gear, towels, etc. Highly recommended.

Our recent stay at Hale Beach Inn was a perfectly relaxing vacation. The house was ideal for our family of 7 adults and two 18 month old children. Everything went really smoothly right from detailed directions from the airport through to our final departure. We have stayed in a lot of rental houses around the world and Hale Beach Inn rates right up there with the best. Extremely clean, near new appliances, great beds, wonderful showers and a terrific barbecue that grills Opah to challange the Beach House Restaurant. The owners had compiled lots of helpful information to help us find beaches and attractions. The location was great. Baby beach was a 2 min walk and great for the kids and a quiet suntan. Lots of Green Turtles resting on the rocks at Whalers Cove also a very short walk away. A mall was also a short stroll away. The defining amenity of this house was the full access to the substantial beach gear including kids toys, mats, umbrellas, boogie and surf boards. It was like walking in to your uncle's beach house and having full access to everything. There was even coolers for our beach beers. A lot of attention was paid to details that we really appreciated. Without a doubt we look forward to taking our family back to Hale Beach Inn in the future

I realy have seen a lot of rental homes but this is outstanding. It is more than just a rental home: here is someone sharing his home with visiters. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for feeling home and wellcome. We used the great kitchen and the outdoor gas barbecue every day, had our breakfast on the west lanai and dinner on the south lanai.
It is reaaly true what the discription says: This is island living at its finest!
When every I go back to Kauai I would like to stay in this great house again!
