We really liked our stay in this unit. As noted in the listing it looks recently remodeled. It was clean. The furniture looked like it was in good shape. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen appliances were clean.
There were a few times we wished that the unit had AC, but if you open the windows in front and back there will be a nearly constant breeze. It was comfortable at night with the ceiling fan on and the windows open.
The view over the lawn and the beach in the distance was nice. During the day there were several times when there was a lot of noise from the lawn area. One time it was the gardeners. Another time it sounded like someone was running a compressor.
The best thing about this unit is that it's very private. To get to the unit you go up a flight of stairs. At the top there are just two doors, one to the right and one to the left. This means that no one has to walk by the unit to get to another one. We left the windows open in the bedroom almost all of the time.

Location of Kiahuna Plantation in Poipu is ideal! Love the green, green lawn, location to the water and unit was so nicely upgraded! I could see vacationing there every year! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise!

Amenities are deceiving. The listing says pool, hot tub and fitness center so I assumed they were on the property. You actually have to use the Poipu Athletic Club, which is just ok.
The locks where changed while we were out one day with no notice. It was pretty scary since we got back to our room late. Luckily the office was still open to give us a code.
The room itself is cute and well appointment. It was so hot though we hated spending time inside. Instead we tried to find a hotel with air con but everywhere was booked.
No wifi in the room, we were told by maintenance it was off and we weren’t allowed to reset it ourselves. Had to wait for the internet service provider. Never did get it.
The beach is lovely and the location is wonderful

The property was clean and the location was close to the beach. It had everything we needed except a few minor things like a kitchen trash can. Just small bathroom trash can. The refrigerator was old but it did it’s job of keeping the food cold. The furniture was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of cookware,dishes and bakeware. The scenery was beautiful.

We just returned from 9 amazing days at this absolutely gorgeous VRBO! Randal and Teresa thank you for sharing your wonderful condo- it was perfect for our family adventures in Kauai. The unit itself is exactly like the pictures- clean, beautifully renovated, extremely well stocked, perfect location in the complex. The master bed is very comfortable (key to a good nights sleep after hours of boogie boarding, surfing or hiking), and the kids (11 and 14) slept comfortably on the pull-out. We loved breakfast on the lanai, boogie boarding in the waves (thanks for the complimentary boogie board in the room), and 3 of us learned to surf. Evening on the lawn tossing the football, while other families gathered for bocce ball (rented from the hut for the week for $30), and BBQ'ed with a glass of wine while watching the sunset. Our kids made friends at the pool, and we enjoyed some dinners at the cabana.
We fell in love with Kauai- it is the most breathtaking place to hike, drive with the top down, walk the beach, explore at a leisurely pace with your shave ice. We hiked Waimea Canyon which was absolutely incredible and well worth the trip, and then the cliffs past the Hyatt for sunrise hikes many mornings (stunning!!) where we saw turtles surfing. Drove to the north shore which is beautiful. We will ABSOLUTELY plan to return to this unit, and will plan many more hikes, boogie boarding and BBQ dinners on the lawn. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!

The condo is gorgeously appointed and includes everything one might need to enjoy a stay in Paradise. We loved the furnishings, especially the magnificent dining table and chairs, and we appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. The view across Kiahuna’s great lawn to the ocean is perfect.

This place felt like luxury. We thought the view from the unit was perfect. Still close enough to see the beach, but back a little bit for it to be quieter than the units right up front. The sliding doors that open out on to the Lanai make this a full indoor/outdoor experience. Randy was very helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Kiahuna Plantation 40 years ago and it’s as beautiful now as it was then. Our unit (179) was absolutely fantastic…can’t say enough good things about it. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay here. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. Overall great experience!!!

We had a fantastic time at this condo! Well appointed, beautifully decorated. It has everything you need to have a great stay at Kiahuna. This was not our first trip to the property but this is definitely our favorite condo we have stayed in, the view, the location, can’t be beat and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! Covid rules do prevent them from having certain things (spices, etc) but we knew that in advance so brought our own and purchase some during our 11 night stay. Our two teenagers were perfectly comfortable on the pull out couch and we took advantage of the games and books that were available! Overall, a perfect experience for our family Christmas getaway. Can’t wait to go back!

We have stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation several times all in different units. This unit was the best. The views of the ocean & grounds were so nice, all the updates to the unit from flooring, kitchen and bathroom. It was all very nice. Amenities of the unit were good, beach chairs, beach umbrella and Tupperware to pack food for the beach. It was all great. We look forward to renting this unit again.

A wonderful week on Kauai and it all started in this beautiful condo. The ocean view was even better than pictures showed! Kitchen had everything we needed and nice new appliances. Very fun. Great view of the landscape and ocean. It would have been nice to have more spices available but that is probably a Covid protection. There is no air conditioning but there are ceiling fans and portable fans in the unit. We appreciated having the umbrella and beach chairs. Overall a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our breakfast on the veranda

We came to Kauai to get married on the property! The condo was upgraded and very well appointed. The owners we very nice and helpful. They to the extra step of communicating places to see, restaurants to eat at, and made sure we knew the island before we even stepped off the plane. The condo was recently renovated and was beautiful. They had lawn chairs, boogie board, cooler and beach bag for their guests. They went above and beyond. We actually had the pleasure of meeting them and let them know this personally. Location on property was ideal with a beautiful view. It was a hot week and the lack of AC was a bit problematic, but manageable. Thank you for the stay!

This property has it all, the condo is very clean and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable bed and pillows, robes and starter pack of some necessities. We loved being able to have lounge cots near the beach and a fresh beach towel every day. View from the lanai is fantastic, also very nice and big. The grounds are beautiful. Swimming on our beach was so fun. Walking distance to Poipu beach for great snorkelling too. Easy access to many sights on the island and also good eats within walking distance. Great communication with owners. And check in was a breeze. It was a very relaxing wonderful holiday! Mahalo

We had a great experience. Loved the unit and the surroundings. The unit is fully stocked with kitchen necessities, also games, puzzles, legos. The balcony is a great addition with a table and lounge chairs. Beach is just across the lawn. My kids really liked the golf course grass on the property.

We absolutely loved Randal and Theresa's Poipu condo. It had a gorgeous view of the ocean from the deck and was well equipped and well furnished. Property management was very easy to work with and there were many fantastic restaurants within walking distance. We also really enjoyed our morning latte and açaí bowl across the street at Little Fish. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Can’t wait to return to our new favorite condo at Kiahuna! Recently remodeled updated unit is beautifully decorated with high end furniture that says “welcome home” and perfect for us two on an anniversary trip (without the kids! ;) )The view of the ocean from the lanai is perfect and a relaxing spot for meals, cocktails or just a snooze with sound of the waves in the background. The breezes move freely throughout the unit, and big ceiling fans helped to keep us cool day and night. Location is also good for walking the gardens, to the Sheraton Lava bar and restaurant, the Honu Bar at the Marriott or across the road to Poipu Shopping Village. Equally easy walk to the Athletic Club and its Cabana Grill.
I have been coming to Kiahuna for decades and this unit#179 is by far the most beautiful one yet. Hate to leave but will be back! Mahalo Randy and Teresa.
