The location was absolutely amazing! We had breakfast on the lanai while watching for whales, spent hours playing at the beach just steps from the property and watched the sunset from the seawall. The condo was fully equipped with everything we needed, including beach chairs and boogie boards. The kitchen had many extras as well like a blender, waffle maker and French press. The view from the lanai can’t be beat!

My husband and our 2 sons stayed here for an end of summer boys trip and they loved it! The view from the lanai, and walking out to see the ocean and sea turtles just steps away was perfect! They said it was awesome having access to the beach gear. Home was clean and comfy and they really enjoyed their stay. Thank you for everything!!

The property location is the best. We have stayed in Kanhan Reef several times. This was the first in this unit. The kitchen had all the needed items to cook with and was stocked with plenty of trash bags. There is a need for an upgrade in the bathroom. The shower curtain fell down twice and there is no grip handle in the tub. This is good to have for older persons. The property has all that is needed for days at the beach. We were unable to turn off the fan in the bedroom with the control on the wall. Had to unplug it.

Beautiful location, even better than the photos. Ground floor access is very convenient with bags, etc. Being able to walk straight out from the living room onto the lawn is really nice. Everything is clean and tidy, and the home book describing the property and surrounding area is a thoughtful touch. The overall feeling is like being at a friend's home, so much more personal and comfortable than a hotel room.
The only (very minor) point of possible improvement is the check-in. I may have missed it somewhere, but while we had an access code, the number of the condo was not provided, and so I had to call the host for this information. Perhaps this is security-related, which is understandable. Luckily it was a reasonable hour and so a quick phone call and all was OK.

Last min trip to Maui for some business and this unit was available. Super easy booking with great communication. I am very familiar with the area and the location is in Napili at the north end of Lower Honopiilani Rd. that is super quiet and walking distance to Maui Brewing company, Hawaiian Village coffee, Miso Phat and Dollies Pub. Walk out on to the Lanai, there is a small lawn and then the seawall with the ocean lapping below. Adjacent to the BBQ's for convenient grilling. Facing west so you'll have amazing sunsets every night.

This is the second time we have stayed at Kahana Reef, first time in this unit. We can’t get enough of the location and amenities it has to offer. You wake up to whales jumping out of the water and in the evening you watch the sunset while the turtles come visit. We got engaged out front by the sea wall! It was the perfect setting. The condo has chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and more for your beach adventures. The unit inside has a lot of kitchen stuff which is a plus! We used the blender a lot. The only thing missing is an AC unit. There is a breeze that comes through but it can get hot. Thank you for letting us use your home.

Open the sliding door and sit on the porch less than 50 feet from the Pacific Ocean and fantastic sunsets. Need a beach? Turn right for access to a small beach area. Walkable to nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Easy drive to other sites. Condo has everything you’ll need although the decor is a bit dated (more like a dear great aunt’s place). Owner promptly responded to a question about the address and was very pleasant.

This one is cute. With nice access to a small beach spot. Sand is nice and perfect for our kids. Plus this space has a cool story to it. (You can read it’s history in a folder under the coffee table) great view. Saw tons of turtles and whales. And one monk seal overall very happy with the space

We couldn't have been more happy with our accommodations! Seriously, was a beautiful location and waking up each morning being able to walk out to that view, made it so very memorable for us! We are from Sandpoint, Idaho and reading the owners story in the book, made us feel like we were staying at a friend's house. Once we got home and told our inlaws that the owners we N. Idaho locals and shared his name, my father in law told us he knew Mr. Majors. My father in law was in law enforcement and had worked with him a few times on some things. Said he was a great man.
We will definitely make this property our go-to for future visits!

This was my first trip to Maui and I wanted a place that was away from a busy, touristy area like Lahaina but still close enough to town for me to access restaurants and shops. And this was THE PERFECT PLACE! The ocean was in my backyard and to sleep listening to the waves every night and watching the sunrise every morning was magical🥰 Sharyn and family, thank you for lending me your home. The property is in a great location and has wonderful views from the back. It’s in an older 70s building and the grounds are well kept.
The condo unit is a bit dated and could use more refurbishing. The bedroom is very small and a bit claustrophobic.
There was major construction going on in the building one floor up which was not disclosed to us prior to booking, and looked like it had been ongoing and will continue. Very loud jackhammering and sawing from 8:30a-5p Monday-Friday during our stay making hanging around the property unpleasant during those hours. After complaining about lack of disclosure of this prior to booking, the owner did give a 5 nignt refund. However I would not have selected the property had I known of the noisy work being done. We don’t get many Hawaii vacations so made the best of it.

Our family had a short two night stay at this property and we really enjoyed our time there as a family, especially being so close to the ocean, seeing the sunset and the turtles made it extra special.
The suite is decorated very well and made it feel cosy and welcoming. Even though there was no air-conditioning we were able to keep the suite cool enough to sleep in with fans provided. - which is important as our son doesn’t do well in heat at night, but we were successful in having comfortable sleeps. We were visiting in early Nov.

This was the first time our family used VRBO and the entire process was hassle-free and easy. The location was just where we wanted to be- close to our favorite beaches (Napili, Kapalua, and Ironwood), the grocery stores, farmer’s market, and Lahaina. The view was amazing as soon as you step in the front door. It was so nice to have so many amenities including a full kitchen and beach supplies (umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards). It was so comfortable and cozy that we felt at home right away. We highly recommend staying here.

We picked the perfect place to stay to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It’s on the first floor so getting in and out the back is easy and convenient. The view out the back is gorgeous: we witnessed beautiful sunsets, turtles every morning, couples proposing and much more.
The room is cozy, it had everything we needed in the kitchen to make a meal and all the gear for snorkeling, riding the waves or even the water proof phone cases to take underwater videos.
Moreover, the place is within walking distance to most attractions or a short ride to all the beaches.
Unfortunately, we accidentally left our packed-for-the-airport food in the fridge, so hopefully the next people will enjoy it!

You’d be hard pressed to find a better view than what this condo offers from the back porch. The pictures previewing the condo honestly don’t do it justice. Too many pros to mention. Only con: not much of a beach to access except for in the calmness of the early morning or in the evening. Loved our stay. Great location to stores, restaurants, beaches, etc…Can we talk you into selling it!?! We will definitely be back. One of the best vacations we’ve been on. Thank you for the hospitality.

Being on the ground floor, we had immediate access to the lawn and ocean views. Turtles visited in the afternoon. The sea wall provided an ideal spot for our dinner table. Condo had all the amenities needed and more. Only 8 minutes to one if our favorite beaches, Slaughterhouse Beach. Great location. Yes, we would love to visit again.

The ground floor/ walk out condo is exactly what I wanted from my trip to Maui. It was cozy, had everything we need and with the ocean just 10 steps off the back porch, you truly felt like you were on vacation. We spent nights hanging by the sea wall watching sea turtle, and days just 50 yards north on the beach. This is a gem of a listing.

great to sit outside with seaview and hear the waves. 1 -3 turtles where swimming the evening close to the boarder. near nice small beach or you can drive to one of the many other beaches within 5-20minutes. would defenitely come back!

This was a lovely place, perfect for a couple but not so great for two adults sleeping in separate beds. The pull-out couch might be fine for a child but was very uncomfortable for my 68 year old friend who slept in it. She said the foam mattress was flimsy and she kept sinking into the springs. On the positive side, the neighbors on both sides of us were very friendly and the place was clean and well kept. We loved the view from the living room and patio.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for 3 nights while on our trip to Maui. We are staying at a few different places and hopping around the island, but this condo is one of the best! The location is everything- you don’t even need to leave if you don’t want to. We actually only used it to sleep but the porch, view and semi private little beach could make for its own little slice of paradise. There’s a binder inside the house with info and tips from the hosts and was very helpful. The only thing we would suggest to improve (and may well have been our error) is we did not see a unit # provided. We checked in late at night after exploring the island and we were very close to having to contact the host late at night :( we ended up figuring out which unit # based off of the wifi information. So it’s doable to figure out, but just FYI! And if it was posted somewhere, oops :) we also didn’t see a way to contact the host through VRBO, but again could be our error, and their contact info was in the binder inside so once you’re there it’s not a problem. But these things are so small, everything else was perfect! Just a heads up since the binder asked for improvement recommendations! Ps- keep the porch floor carpeted and not tiled, it was nice to not slip!
Book this condo and you won’t be disappointed! Whether you want to stay close by and relax, or just need a launchpad on your adventures, the price is right and the location can’t be beat. You cannot go wrong!

This condo is absolutely stunning. Ocean front view in a quiet condo complex with a comfortable king sized bed, fully stocked kitchen, and complimentary snorkeling equipment. The shower even had good water pressure which is always a huge plus in my book. We saw a lot of turtles from the back yard and enjoyed the beautiful shady beach steps away from the back door. Great location in Kahana about 15 minutes from Lahaina. Sharyn was absolutely fantastic. She promptly responded to all my messages and was so friendly. She even has a welcome folder with recommendations of things to do in the area. We cannot wait to go back! Highly highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Kahana Reef #115. The room was nice and clean and being on the ground floor we were able to enjoy a quite stroll on the lawn at night and to take our beach chairs out to view the stars. A great place, easy access to the beach. We would consider coming here again.

We had such a fantastic time at this sweet get-away condo. Absolutely perfect location to not hassle with trying to make it to the beach. With a simple walk-out of the back sliding door, a clear few of the water and mountain is right there. Our days were maximized to relax and spend our vacation actually taking a break. The hosts were great. Clear communication, making sure everything was in order for our stay at the accommodation. The condo was clean and well taken care of. This is definitely a top recommendation!

The property was nice, great view and yard access. We weren’t supplied with a parking permit and there’s a big sign out front that says one is required or you’ll be towed. We didn’t get towed but that was a little stressful.
A/C would be nice, our first couple nights were ok with a good breeze and the slider open but with kids it wasn’t ideal to have to leave the door open overnight. The last two nights we didn’t get much sleep due to the heat and no breeze.
Overall it’s a nice property, if they installed a cheap A/C unit or two I would defiantly stay again otherwise I’d probably pass.

Maholo for sharing your Makana...truly a gift. We had such a wonderful experience in Maui. This place was well stocked with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Snorkel gear and boogie boards were enjoyed as well as the grill directly out back. Free parking and ground level condo was wonderful for bringing our bicycles in and out of condo each day. We loved our time here - the property is ground floor and has a stunning view of the ocean, great for sunsets! There is a swimmable beach just steps away. The place was clean and had everything we needed - pull-out couch was very spacious and comfortable enough. Host was very quick to respond to any questions/needs. Not many restaurants/shops within walking distance, but great, quiet location between Lahaina and Kapalua!

It was home away from home except in Maui. Beautiful view and owners were just a call away if I had any issues. I booked thru Expedia and they didn’t let me know about construction on going Monday-Friday 8 to 3:30. So we managed to be gone around those times. But very relaxing on the weekends! Most definitely will return when construction is complete!
