What a beautiful condo. The layout was perfect. Basically 2 king suites and another 1/2 bath in the living area, so it was perfect for 2 couples with extra room for a couple more people if needed. Oceanfront view was amazing. Great location if you like a relaxed vacation. Several restaurants within walking distance. A few shops as well. Will definitely come back!

Views from this condo are incredible - amazing sunsets, and we saw sea turtles from the balcony at least 20 times. Great location on the island - easy walk to snorkel rental and a few shops and restaurants, and just a short drive to Lahaina. Some casual restaurants with great views we enjoyed just a short drive away: The Gazebo, The Sea House, The Beach House. We also had a great time snorkeling just a short drive away at Slaughterhouse Beach (weird name but beautiful beach). Cold filtered water in the lobby for filling up our water bottles was great, too.

We stayed with our adult children in this lovely condo. The patio was great with amazing views of blue water and sea turtles. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The condo was well appointed. The air conditioner in the master was lacking, but there were fans available, so we just put it in front of the door and took air from the living room, which was quite cold. We enjoyed this property and would recommend with hesitation.

Overall, it was good. Condo was clean and well furnished. Did a nice job with the renovation but the original patio doors drag a little and the one nearest the dining area does not close properly (alignment). This condo has a great view and is in a good location. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai. Walking distance to some good food as well. I do think the building's dryer duct system needs cleaning badly. It took FOREVER to dry any clothes and the dryer is a new(er) unit. The mattress in the master needs replacing as it is cupped to the middle. And the bed creeks quite a bit. If your partner turns at night, you will know it. Aside from that, we enjoyed the unit. Side note for all that may be wondering: The unit has a regular coffee pot w/filters AND a Keurig. Just in case you are wanting to stop on your way to the condo to gather items for your stay. The unit also had salt and pepper in it. No other condiments. Oh, and the control for the blinds is on the kitchen entry wall near the refrigerator, not by the windows. Again, a great view in a good location. No regrets staying here. Would rent it again.

As soon as we opened the door the first word I heard was "Wow". The unit is very tastefully furnished and has everything you would want to have an outstanding experience. The views from the balcony are spectacular. We were lucky enough to watch sea turtles just off of the beach each day and the sunsets were epic. If we got back to Maui in the near future I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This condo is absolutely beautiful and comfortable inside with wrap around views of the ocean. The location is quiet and right on the beach. The beds are extremely comfortable including the pull out couch. However, the air condition does not supply enough air in the master bedroom to be comfortable in the evenings. It was hot and very stuffy in the room in September with temps in the 80's. The rugs in both bedrooms need to be professionally cleaned. Also, several holes in the screens causing my whole family to get mosquito bites all week long. Please understand all issues above have been addressed with Hawaiian Life owners, who were attentive to my text messages. I am confident they will resolve these issues soon.

The unit is exactly as it appears in the pictures! Stunning views from the lanai, with plenty of seating. Great location very close to Lahaina center, approx 1 hr to Wailea, and approx 1 hr to beginning of "road to Hana". 2 little convenience/liquor stores right across the street, snorkel rental & sushi (v. good) place as well. We didn't spend much time at the pool, but it's very clean, and plenty of chairs. We used the grills one night which were very clean and nice for a night in. Highly recommend The Plantation House for dinner, just an 8 minute drive. The condo has all that you might want/need, even things you wouldn't expect (an insulated water bottle which we used a lot). Plenty of beach chairs, coolers, sand toys, beach towels, etc. A nice bonus is the little, but well equipped gym in the bldg. This was a perfect place for us (family of 4, all adults). Would def stay here again. Mahalo for maitaining and offering such a beautiful home.

Royal Kahana 610 is just amazing. The view from the lanai carries throughout the entire living area, so you can prep & cook dinner in the (fully-stocked) kitchen without even missing the views. We had friends staying in another unit on-site. Their place was actually really nice, but they ate every meal with us just because…
The decor is pretty perfect, & the kitchen has everything you need as far as pots & pans, cooking utensils, & even food storage containers & supplies. You will find that Maui, in general, is very Earth-friendly, & there are even recycling bins on the basement level here at RC. This made me very happy!
Both bedrooms were nice. We slept well in there -except for the two nights that I CHOSE to sleep on the lanai. I can’t explain how peaceful it is to just sit out there & listen to the ocean. Nothing competes with the daytime views, but the night sky was also pretty stunning.
We started most days with coffee on the lanai (organic, compostable pods provided for the Keurig) and then walked to nearby businesses before heading to the beach or excursion of choice. The coffee shop was a MUST, but get a punch card (we didn’t find out until too late)!
So, that brings us to location! Royal Kahana is quite centrally located. There were restaurants, coffee shops, a general store, & even snorkel rentals literally across the street. We could have managed to survive quite happily just by walking everywhere! But you DON’T want to do that!!! There is too much beauty to see on Maui! We visited many beaches to the north & to the south, including Lahaina whaler’s village, Baby Beach, Napili (for snorkeling), & then finally D.T. Fleming Beach, which was our favorite because it wasn’t too crowded. We basically swam right next to several sea turtles, & our sons enjoyed the waves while we enjoyed the sand. There are beaches everywhere- each with their own, specific strengths. Talk to the kind folks at Snorkel Bob’s on the way back from your morning walk. They are incredibly kind & helpful & were able to steer us towards what we wanted from a beach for that day.
Oh! And the unit is stocked with beach towels (look in the half bath cabinets), chairs, coolers, umbrellas, & even a few toys for little ones if you have them! This was especially nice for those of us who were packing light & traveling from VA! The washer & dryer were clutch as well.
Basically, just get here!
You won’t want to leave!!!

The location and views from the Royal Kahana are amazing. The only disappointment was the overall condition of the unit. There are several items that are in need of repair or cleaning that should of been addressed before we arrived. We may have higher standards than some travelers but for the price I would of expected better. A few examples of items that needed attention:- Patio doors are hard to open fully due to them being old and worn out.- several screens have holes in them- several stains in furniture and carpet- lighting is really dark in master bathroom- windows in master bedroom need to be cleaned, they have a thick coat of dirt on them and you can't see out of them.- Picture above master bed is pulling out of the wall and about ready to fall on the people sleeping below.This place overall could be amazing due to the location and view, but in my opinion it needs some love to make it worth the rental rate.

Unit 610 at the Royal Kahana is in a class by itself. Many times promotional videos and pictures can exaggerate a location. In this case they almost didn't do it justice. The unit is that nice. The attention to detail is phenomenal. The size of the unit was perfect for us and we actually had 6 all over 18. The view was magical and the interior was beautiful. We came to Maui to disconnect from a lot of the hustle and bustle and the location was perfect for that. Kaanapali is within driving distance for whatever we wanted to do there but it was always a pleasure returning to a more peaceful setting everyday.We are already planning another trip after my son's wedding and are looking forward to staying in the same exact unit. We loved it that much.

My only regret is that is was not whale season...because this would be the prime viewing spot. We have come back here now three years in a row. Stay for a month. We like the little changes here and there that we see every time return. Super clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. A Keurig for our AM coffee on the lanai. Hubby works on one side and I work on the other - Best office view! Pleased with the new pool area and palapuas for some shade. We enjoy Dollies, The Beach House and Maui Brewing Company near by for easy eats in the evening. We do a lot of grilling poolside - you meet a lot of great people down there. We like that there are no resort fees here - that adds up when you are on and extended vacay. We will be back!

We have stayed on the west side of Maui now at least five or six times & this unit had by far the best views we have had. We always stay directly on the oceanfront, and most units we have stayed in have been outdated and lacked good air-conditioning. We had the incredible opportunity to stay here for a little over a week during busy season and had an absolutely magnificent time. The condo is fully furnished with absolutely everything you can think of, and anything additional that you might consider, Megan obliges happily before your arrival! She even left a birthday gift for our son who celebrated his 6th birthday while we were on the island!! Watch the whales from the wraparound balcony and wake up to the sound of crashing waves just below your window! If you aren’t sightseeing, spend the days down at the pool right on the ocean or grab some groceries and grill out on one of the grills poolside. Then watch the sunset over Lanai for a full day of splendor. There is a small gym on the basement level that we didn’t have an opportunity to use. Would have used it if it opened a little bit earlier, but it is open at 7 AM. No problem! Having a washer and dryer inside the unit is a game changer. Next time we come, I will bring far less clothes for everyone! Can’t think of a single thing we’d have changed. We easily for 5 adults and one child - 2 adults per bedroom and one in the living room with our munchkin on a small blowup bed with plenty of room to spare. The 2 1/2 bathrooms are a major major bonus. PS. Oh, and if you want to know anything about anything on the island, there’s a gentleman in the building with the cutest dog ever who is a wealth of info. After one visit you with him, you may have plenty for your entire stay 🤣 but he means well and their dog Rosie is a gem. Consider us hooked! Book now, don’t wait!

We recently stayed at the Royal Kahana in Unit 610. It added to our overall great Hawaii vacation. The unit is wonderful, with plenty of room for 2 couples and has a stunning view with a big lanai to sit on and view the ocean. The unit is well stocked and even had everything needed for a day at the beach, from chairs and umbrellas, to coolers and towels. There is actually a nice beach a two minute walk from the unit if you want to stay local. We also enjoyed the Beach House and Dollies Pub for dinners within walking distance of the Royal Kahana. Hawaii Life was very easy to work with and made everything seamless.Great property!

The only thing found that should have been clean but wasn't was the wall vent/return behind the door in the second bedroom. Close to many beautiful & easily accessible beaches, restaurants, gas stations & stores. D.T. Fleming Beach was our favorite beach & Whaler's Village made for excellent shopping & dining. Loved the guide book provided and used it almost every time we went out to explore the island. Loved sitting on the balcony & watching whales breach & play in the distance. This was everything advertised and more! We will be back. The balcony and views are spectacular. The kitchen has everything you need to make and store anything.. We didn’t have to stock up on any basics (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, etc.). Plenty of room for our family of four. Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, etc provided. Great communication with property owners. Walking distance to many restaurant options. Almost don’t want to recommend so we can keep this gem to ourselves.

We thought the condo 610 was wonderful, although I wish the air would have been working (we stayed sick the entire trip, because we had to leave the windows open at night to stay cool). The mattress in the master bedroom could have been better, I slept on the couch away from my husband because of back issues from the mattress. But even with all that said, I’ll stay here again and again and again.

The condo was exactly as the pictures showed - it is beautiful and spotless! It had everything we could possibly need, you really just need to bring your suitcase and hit the grocery store.
We tried to spend as much time as possible on the patio as the views were absolutely breathtaking! Every single day we saw whales and sea turtles and one day we were able to watch a bunch of dolphins have some fun!
Check in was easy peasy and the pool was a nice place to hang out when we didn't feel like going to a beach. We used the poolside grills quite a bit and they were always clean and available.
The condo didn't have air conditioning while we were there (not the owners fault at all - they were out of order for the entire complex due to terrible storms they had before we arrived) but we didn't even miss not having a/c. They provided us with a ton of fans for every room and 2 portable a/c units but we rarely used it. The breeze off the ocean was wonderful and kept us cool. It actually worked out because we could leave all the doors and windows open and enjoy the calming sounds of the waves!
Do not hesitate to book this place - you won't regret it!! We will definitely book this condo again if we are lucky enough to get back to Maui!

The views from this unit could not offer a better ocean view. Waking up every morning to a panoramic view of the water was simply breathtaking. We watched whales off the balcony and one member of our group even saw turtles. Everything our group needed was thoughtfully provided. Great rental in a nice quiet location!

I’d originally booked this condo for 2020 and of course had to reschedule. We spent Thanksgiving 2021 here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The condo looks exactly as pictured. It is spacious and beautifully appointed. Everything looks new and is very clean. The lanai is a dream. Perfect for eating breakfast and lounging to watch the sunrise or sunset. There are beach accoutrements, cooler, etc available as well. Communication was simple. The whole thing is everything you could want for a vacation.

We LOVED this property! We were looking for something a little further north on Maui, so it would be quieter etc., but still convenient to everything. This property was exactly as advertised. The finishes & the upgrades make this an exceptional value. The kitchen was well stocked to easily accommodate family meals. The best things about this property was the AMAZING views! The huge porch/lanai area, with wraparound views was stunning. Easily the best part of our time in the unit was spent outside listening to the ocean & watching the sunsets, sea turtles etc. We enjoyed our time there. This is definitely a place we would book again on our next trip out to Maui!

Our family had an incredible stay at Royal Kahana. First and foremost the views are breathtaking. From every angle. We purposefully tried to eat dinner in ( either cooking or takeout) to make sure we were home for sunset. The condo is filled with every single thing you could need. They have thought of everything. The beach, while technically not open, is better than I expected and we saw the sea turtle every day. Snorkeling abounds within 10 min drive north or south. Our favorites were black rock and Honolua. Boss frogs was great for snorkel gear rentals. The convenience store across the street at the shell station was impressive. And the staff at royal Kahana was friendly and helpful. And Megan and Jeremy were super responsive and great help with lots of suggestions. Including a options for us to renew our vows after 25 years. A truly special occasion. Other tips were Haililemalle general store for dinner after Haleakala. And Sea House in kapalua. A truly memorable vacation. And we would recommend this rental to anyone. Not all are the same in this building, this one is one of the best.

This property is very clean and was well maintained. Stocked with everything you could imagine from beach chairs and towels to all types of kitchen supplies,, even a coffee grinder! Extra supplies included as well.. we have found in the past that most rental places give you a days worth of supplies but this place has extra dish pods,, detergent, paper towels, you name it.
The view from the lanai is stunning, with the sun setting right off the balcony. We saw sea turtles from the lanai every day.The location is about 10 minutes from Kaanapali and 15 from Lahaina. Only 5 min to the best snorkeling beaches (Kapalui amd Napili).
The beach is washed away at this property and I did not deduct stars for this because the owners mention it in advance. We knew this before we stayed. You can walk down to a beach 2 buildings down from this property.

This condo was an amazing place to go for my 50th bday!! When we arrived on the island we received a text with the code for the door and directions to the complex from the location manager Jeremy. As soon as we opened the door, we knew this place was much better than the pictures could even show!! The view, WOW!! The ocean is right below the balcony, which wraps the front of the condo. It is so large that my bestie could use one side as her office while my husband and I could whale watch (with the provided binoculars) on the other side without disturbing her. The condo was nicely remodeled, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well appointed and just enough room for 2 chefs!! A few days after we arrived we found out that because of Covin-19, our jobs and my nephews school had been moved to online, so we had no reason to rush home and changed our plans to stay 10 more days. We knew that we would be remanded to only the condo itself under self quarantine, but with our view of Lanai, Molokai and sunsets every night, we were ok with that!! We had the crashing waves and rum, so all was great!! Jeremy and his amazing team made adding the extra days so easy!! They offered to have the condo cleaned, but because of social distancing, we decided to clean it ourselves. I asked if they could just drop off a care package of paper goods, soaps, shampoos and mentioned that at some point they may want to get new knives in the kitchen. I was massacreing pineapples with some very dull knives!! 3 hours after my request we had a knock on the door!! Jeremy’s father in law showed up with everything we asked for, a brand new butcher block full of sharp knives and a box of chocolate macadamia nuts and bottle of prosecco for my birthday!! I ran after the poor man with the knife block in my arms to thank him!! Probably scared him half to death!! The next 10 days we just enjoyed the condo and the peace of mind that comes with being somewhere beautiful and safe. I cannot thank the owners and Jeremy and his team enough!! In such a crazy time we managed to have the time of our lives!! My 50th will be hard to top!!

We had an awesome experience at this property. The view is spectacular with 180 degrees of ocean, sea life, and island! You can’t beat the two bedroom ocean front condos there! The condo was very well supplied with anything you could possibly need and it was beautifully decorated inside and out.
The beach has eroded even more and now there is no beach access from the patio by the pool. The beach front is lined with huge sand bags. We heard from owners at the pool they are planning to bring in more sand however I don’t know when. If you walk down the street it’s easy to get to the beach.

What an amazing Condo. We stayed in January 2020 for a week and had a fantastic time. There are so many extras in this unit: Snorkling gear, games, books, beach gear- we were literally blown away! We have come back here now three years in a row. Stay for a month. We like the little changes here and there that we see every time return. Super clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. A Keurig for our AM coffee on the lanai. Hubby works on one side and I work on the other - Best office view! Pleased with the new pool area and palapuas for some shade. We enjoy Dollies, The Beach House and Maui Brewing Company near by for easy eats in the evening. We do a lot of grilling poolside - you meet a lot of great people down there. We like that there are no resort fees here - that adds up when you are on and extended vacay. We will be back!

We have stayed on the west side of Maui now at least five or six times & this unit had by far the best views we have had. We always stay directly on the oceanfront, and most units we have stayed in have been outdated and lacked good air-conditioning. We had the incredible opportunity to stay here for a little over a week during busy season and had an absolutely magnificent time. The condo is fully furnished with absolutely everything you can think of, and anything additional that you might consider, Megan obliges happily before your arrival! She even left a birthday gift for our son who celebrated his 6th birthday while we were on the island!! Watch the whales from the wraparound balcony and wake up to the sound of crashing waves just below your window! If you aren’t sightseeing, spend the days down at the pool right on the ocean or grab some groceries and grill out on one of the grills poolside. Then watch the sunset over Lanai for a full day of splendor. There is a small gym on the basement level that we didn’t have an opportunity to use. Would have used it if it opened a little bit earlier, but it is open at 7 AM. No problem! Having a washer and dryer inside the unit is a game changer. Next time we come, I will bring far less clothes for everyone! Can’t think of a single thing we’d have changed. We easily for 5 adults and one child - 2 adults per bedroom and one in the living room with our munchkin on a small blowup bed with plenty of room to spare. The 2 1/2 bathrooms are a major major bonus. PS. Oh, and if you want to know anything about anything on the island, there’s a gentleman in the building with the cutest dog ever who is a wealth of info. After one visit you with him, you may have plenty for your entire stay 🤣 but he means well and their dog Rosie is a gem. Consider us hooked! Book now, don’t wait!

We had tracked hundreds of places on the web and decided on this place for a 15 day trip in Jan. 2011. There is always trepidation when you approach a place for the first time (we have had some bad places in the past that looked good on the web). Well, we were blown away as we entered the condo. There was Lanai and Molokai in a 270 degree panorama of the ocean in a first place edifice with all the upgrades and niceties. If as on cue several whales breached just a couple of hundred yards off shore.
When I say on the ocean, I mean on the ocean! You have to go on the Lanai and look over the edge to see the beach or grass. The entire wall is full glass so you could not duplicate this setting. Needless to say we were very pleased and will be back!! Tim was very good to work with as well!!

Beautiful ocean front unit. Clean, all amenities/appliances available. Central Air conditioning made stay comfortable. Owner very cooperative and communicative/will address questions/concerns/needs.
Kahana is a preferable area for a vacation, as it is quiet, and without the congestion of Lahaina, Kaanapali. Condo location is good for any and all areas of interest while on Maui.
Would definitely consider staying in this unit again upon return to Maui.

my wife and i recently celebrated out 49th anniversary with a week at this condo. we have stayed in other units at the Royal Kahana before and have no doubt that this is the best. an extensive, high end remodel adds immensly to the prime oceanfront setting. the sixth floor location is high enough that the noise of the waves is not distracting and low enough to let you enjoy what's going on down at the beach. where other complexes are located on sea walls or rocky shore, the Royal Kahana has a long sandy beach. tim, the owner is local and is a pleasure to deal with. we intend to go back during whale watching season. you can sit right in the living room and have a commanding view of the channel where they love to play. FIRST CLASS, ALL THE WAY!

Tim, Brenda & I truly enjoyed our time in Maui and in particular at your condo. We had a relaxing
and enjoyable time and would like to return some day soon. The condo had everything you could think of and the view was spectacular and picture perfect.
Brenda & I had breakfast out on the lanai every morning and watched the sea turtles near the shore. We watched for the humpback whales every day and on the last full day before departing, pods of whales put on a show that lasted for over two hours. It was amazing. Thanks for your hospitality and your attention to making Brenda & I feel comfortable was greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend your condo unit to anyone going to Maui.

We had such a wonderful time in Maui, and this condo was the perfect place to stay. I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since we have been back, but with the below zero temps we are having in Minnesota, I think a lot about the palm trees and ocean just steps from the condo. The inside was decorated very well and the views from the lanai were beautiful. The kids watched the sunset every day from the lanai. We would definitely stay at this condo again as it had everything we needed to enjoy our time on the island.

This condo is first class all the way with a million dollar view! We cooked most of our meals in the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed them on the huge rap around lanai. The bathrooms are very nicely done, with thick turkish towels, right up there with a first class resort, but at a much better price. If you are considering this
condo , compare the rate with those of just a room at a hotel at a big, noisy resort that will probably not be oceanfront, but perhaps oceanview. This condo is by far a much better value and you give up nothing but gain so much. I agree with previous guests that Tim is very easy to work with. All questions answered quickly. Try this condo, you will not be disapppointed.

Having never rented from VRBO before, I was slightly hesitant to try. However the pictures and virtual tour were so attractive, I decided to take the chance.Lucky for us!! The condo was even lovelier that the pictures. To see the unit in three dimension with the sun shining on the water in the day and the moon sparkling down at night, along with the calming chant of the ocean hitting the shoreline was truly incredible. We can't wait to return. Tim was great to work with. All my emails and questions were answered promptly.
