The air conditioner was preset on a schedule and kept turning off which made it uncomfortable at the end of the day.
Only had one cooking pan large enough for a party of 4

Honua Kai is the perfect property for a family vacation and this unit was wondering for our family of five (kids of all ages). The concierge booked all of our activities free org charge and their choices of outfitters did not disappoint! Maui Vacation Rentals (the VBRO rep for this unit) were super responsive and helpful with all of our questions - from check in, to splitting up the guest room king into two twins, to renting a crib for our toddler for the week. The experience was seamless and our stay was amazing! Our only tiny critique was that the unit’s kitchen lacked decent cooking knives and a cutting board which made some of our meal prep challenging. Otherwise we wouldn’t change a thing. Mahalo!

We loved our stay at Honua Kai 649. The condo unit was well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. Property management group (Maui Resort Rentals) was very responsive to all our inquiries! Honua Kai Resort is very family friendly, clean, and people following COVID guidelines. Restaurants were still at limited capacity, so finding tables to eat out during spring break was somewhat of a challenge, but thankfully Duke's restaurant on site did takeout and was very accomodating.
We would definitely stay at this unit again!

Fantastic location, great amenities, our best vacation ever. We were a family of 9 and rented two (2) bedroom condos near to each other. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. What a great way to enjoy Maui. I highly recommend Honua Kai!

Our unit was exactly as pictured and described. Top of the line appointments. Very comfortable, the ability to open the entire wall of windows to the lanai was wonderful. Staff was friendly. Pools are great....lots of kids everywhere. We were able to book this unit just a few weeks before arriving and I am really happy we switched where we were staying, we would stay at Honua Kai again. Only negative is that the elevator closest to our room was out of order our day of departure, which made getting out a bit of a hassle. Other than that the stay was perfect! Mahalo!

Lovely condo furnished with beautiful art with state of the art TV's in the living room and both bedrooms. The condo has the living space in the center with both master suites on either side for privacy. It has a beautiful view of the ocean for whale watching and sunsets and enjoying the sun. Love Dukes! Hula Pie is a must for dessert! Everyone was very helpful and professional with Maui Realty! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely property!

Our rental lived up to the description. It was so comfortable for five of us to share the space. Customer service was great. They checked in with us to make sure everything was going ok.
We enjoyed sharing time on the balcony. We could even see the whale activity in the morning.
Dukes was one of our favorite restaurants during our stay on the island. We kept forgetting to make reservations but fortunately bar seating was available when we arrived.
Yes, I would recommend this to our friends.

Thank you to all the staff at Maui Realty for making our 10-day stay so pleasant. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived after midnight and the late check-in/key pick-up procedure was seamless. Communication was prompt and professional from booking, paying, arrival and departure. Any issues and questions were attended to right away.
The unit has been updated, which is very nice. It wasn't lacking in anything. The large screen TV and Netflilx was a bonus. The condo was well stocked with beach chairs and towels as well; while we don't have children, one of the closets was filled with beach toys.
We appreciated how well managed this unit was - thank you again, Maui Realty. See you next year!

Great Condo!!
We really enjoyed the extra space and the awesome view. The big screen came in handy for the Seahawks Game. The Staff from Maui Realty were very accommodating and professional. My family really enjoyed the large lanai with the doors open it just felt like one big outdoor living room.
Overall we were very comfortable and it was hard to leave. We hope to come back and enjoy more time at 649 Hokulani @ Honua Kai.

We had a great time. There were no problems. The only suggestion I could make is to have a small bag of coffee for guest that arrive late for the next morning to enjoy on the Lani. A great place to stay.
