We had to have maintenance come in to replace some light bulbs, which they happily took care of.
The property was as described and shown in the pictures. It was fairly quiet in the evenings.
We had a lovely, enjoyable & relaxing stay in the condo. The view out over the grounds and to the water are gorgeous!

We love the property. Just the right number of people around. The grounds are very well maintained as are the pool areas and pools. Also, a lot of food options within walking distance. A great beginning point for the beach walk. We love this place!

This condo was quite lovely with beautiful views overlooking the gardens and ocean. We could watch the whales breach while we ate breakfast on the patio.
The condo is nicely appointed, but needs A/C units in the bedrooms. The bedrooms are quite warm at night. The A/C only cools the open concept living room, dining area and the kitchen. We ser up fans to move the air into the bedrooms which helped a little, but not nearly enough.

There was no ice chest in condo like mentioned. The washing machine doesn’t even fill up 1/2 way with water, so each load could only hold like 4 pieces of clothing. There were black hairs everywhere when we got there. The AC unit is only in front room so had to leave windows open all night with fans on in bedrooms. Very dated & old. Bed killed our backs, you fall to the middle of it. It was nice to be close to the ocean & sit by wall & watch waves.

Location was great. Facilities were perfect for our multi-generation family vacation, however, the condo was adequate at best. The kitchen especially was poorly equipped. The reason we stayed in a condo was to cook for our family instead of eating out. We ate out a lot because we only had one 5 inch frying pan, zero oven mits or hot pads, zero bbq utensils, three trash bags and two rolls of toilet paper for a ten day, six person stay…..front desk told us if we needed more we had to buy them on our own! Not what I’d expect for nearly $7,000.

The Papakea resort and staff were excellent! The layout and view from the unit we rented were as advertised. Overall, the unit was a great layout for 4 ladies on vacation. Beach towels were not available however KBM Resorts staff delivered them in a timely fashion after we emailed them. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. However, this unit would benefit from some baking sheets, oven mitts, additional cooking pots and pans. Placemats and coasters would be an asset. We really enjoyed the amenities and watching whales from the shore. The view from the lanai was lovely and we enjoyed outsell of our meals outside! A great vacation place to be enjoyed.

We did the booking via VRBO with KBM resorts and the stay was in Papakea resort area. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The beach towels, boogie boards, etc was an added bonus. We would have loved some life vests and snorkel masks too, but we ended up renting those.

The unit is outfitted beautifully. Thanks for the extra heavy beach towels and the outdoor beach items. The grounds at Papakea are so beautiful and maintained to perfection.

Really Enjoyed our stay at Papakea with KBM. The whole experience was seamless and very pleasant. The suite had everything we needed and more. The beach equipment and towels were very much appreciated. The rental car included in our suite cost was also value added. The whole experience was seamless and very pleasant. Great resort and rental unit. Resort was so clean and well maintained. the grounds were beautiful and well kept. The resort was perfectly located near the activities in town and the beaches we loved but while in the resort it was quiet and peaceful, an oasis.
Perfect stay, would definitely return!

This unit was very nice and the resort was such as I stayed longer in a different unit. I would recommend booking well ahead to get a unit that had longer openings so we wouldn't have to shift all the belongings and groceries etc. I will know better the next time. Overall a great place!

The property was located in a great area with easy access to our daily activities. The evenings were quiet and the beds were great. The concierge was very helpful in booking all of the things we wanted to do during our stay in Maui. We would definitely stay here again!

Four adults and 20 month old child. Low key resort within easy reach of shopping hikes beaches restaurants. Whales right off shore. All good.

This place really grew on us! We have been spoiled and stayed mostly at resorts in the past, so at first, the lack of on site restaurant and bar were a bummer and the place felt a little tired, but over time, it really grew on us. Staying in a condo w/o the aforementioned amenities gives you an idea of what it would be like to live in Kaanapali.
We really appreciated the small touches like nice beach towels, beach chairs and the bath products are high quality. The master bed was really comfortable too!
Check-in was not smooth as they didn't have our reservation on site, so that was troubling but we got it worked out. The condo (H205) could use some updated knives and a new rug in the main room, but is otherwise fine.
There is pickle ball on site and they have equipment.
Enjoyed the food trucks nearby for dinner one evening and walks on the beach to the left. Also did Ohai Trail which was beautiful. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property at great location with nice amenities, wonderful views, and easy access to beaches and activities in west and northwest Maui. It really had everything we needed for a family of 4 and the Times grocery store is within walking distance. However, since we like to do 1-2 meals at the condo daily and the wait times for the restaurants were very long during out stay, the kitchen utensils and supplies could be expanded. Nonetheless, we would definitely recommend and stay here again without hesitation.
