Our centrally located, air-conditioned home includes all you will need to make you feel like you've found the perfect home base. Located on the main road to town and frequently traveled by locals to the area's schools and hospital, the house is only 3 minutes from the ocean in one direction, and Rainbow Falls the other. It's 15 minutes from Akaka Falls, Botanical Gardens or zoo, 30 minutes from Mauna Kea Observatory, 40 minutes from Volcano National Park, or 1.5 hours from Kona. While you may hear the occasional ambulance siren or traffic from passing vehicles, the location is ideal for seeing the entire island in several day trips (no matter which way you travel, yet provides the lush tropical feel you expect from Hawaii while keeping you away from the heat and traffic of the Kona side.

The large lanai over the front garden full of hibiscus and ferns provides ample seating to enjoy the ocean view and breeze for your morning coffee or afternoon iced tea. A BBQ is provided for your use (check gas level!) as well as a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast bar. The cozy living room includes a big-screen TV and plenty of lounge-worthy places to rest your feet after a day of exploring.

The bedrooms are each furnished to provide an awesome night's rest, with lots of pillows, soft linens, and ample closet space. Individual AC units in each room allow for varied level of comfort. There is a full bathroom in the hall and an en suite master bathroom complete with walk-in shower and jetted tub. There is also a large private deck off the master bedroom where you can enjoy the evening rainforest sounds. Big screen smart TV’s in the master and living room, along with the washer and dryer in the hall, round out everything you'll need to survive both a long hot day of sun or a rainy afternoon. Everyone is family!
