Before completing your booking, please review the restrictions and guidelines for all travelers to and among the islands of Hawai’i. Due to temporary rules in this State, guests arriving from out-of-state are subject to a mandatory 14 day self-quarantine.
Starting October 15th 2020, travelers with a negative test result within 72 hours prior to flying may be exempted from the quarantine. Detailed information about the travel restrictions may be found at health.hawaii.gov/travel/.
One thing about the space you cannot see in the pictures is that we clean green, which means no toxic chemicals in your living area. Another added perk is that you'll have access to use a variety of amazing essential oils, if you'd like. A diffuser is located next to the king size bed, may help eliminate that annoying jet lag some travelers experience. After a good night sleep, enjoy a morning beverage while taking in the beautiful surroundings from your private patio.
We are installing Air Conditioners April 20th 2018. Instead of raising the rates we decided for those that would like the usage of air conditioning there will be a $10 charge daily. We have Ceiling Fans in every room, for most that is all they need but for those that want cold this will be perfect for them.

Here on the sunshine coast of the Big Island you will find some of the best beaches this island has to offer! We provide you with all the beach equipment you'll need at no additional cost, including beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and snorkeling gear. That means less packing for you!
We are centrally located to many entertainment, adventure, relaxing, and sight-seeing destinations.
Staying here in your hale (home) away from home, you will be just a short 7 minute walk to a grocery store, gas station, bank, restaurant's, and shop's. Five miles down the hill you'll find amazing resorts, art galleries, beaches, and additional restaurants and shops. Kona International Airport is only a 25 minute drive, and Kailua-Kona Town is just 35 minutes away. Hilo (the tropical side of the island) is a convenient 70 minute drive, and Volcano National Park is only a 2 hour beautiful commute away. Hawi (a small town in North Kohala, the area where King Kamehameha was born) is a 40 minute drive along the beautiful coast, while Waimea (home to the state's largest cattle ranch) is just a quick 20 minute drive. So many wonderful sites to see and all conveniently located!
The Big Island has 11 of the 13 climates of the planet with Waikoloa being the sunniest part of the Hawaiian islands!

This is a completely private two room apartment with a full bathroom attached to our home. Everything you need for a enjoyable stay will be provided. You even have access to your own private backyard area for grilling, to watch amazing sunsets, and to enjoy.
Interaction with Guests
Although we live in the main area of the house and will be present to help with check-in, orientation, or to answer questions, we also will be respectful of your privacy. Your area of the home is completely private with it's own entrance, but if needed we are just a text message or phone call away.
Quiet neighborhood good for enjoying sunset views and taking a morning or evening stroll.
Renting a car is highly recommended on the Big Island.
Other Things to Note
We do have 2 friendly dogs named Ginger and Hanai. They stay in our area of the home and do not have access to your private area.
