Here you are in the heart of nature: turn right out the front door to hike through one of America's last rain forests; turn left and take a cool dip in a natural pool fed by waterfalls. In the early morning and at twilight, walk along a deserted country lane bordering the ocean, where the only sounds are singing birds and lapping waves. In winter, watch the whales dance!
