We had a very enjoyable relaxing time.
The check in process was very easy. We received an email prior to landing that had all of the pertinent information.
We woke to amazing sunrises every morning and enjoyed snorkeling directly in front of the house. There are lots of rocks and coral and it is very shallow, but lots of little tropical fish to see.
Local beach just adjacent to the south has a homeless woman that stays and entertains there but other than a car alarm going off one evening no issues. She was pleasant and unobtrusive.
Cons - LOTS of flies in the house; smoke detectors all need their batteries replaced. I emailed the rental company and then just went and got a replacement battery to fix one issue and the next day another one started chirping. They need to replace all of these on a regular basis so the customer doesnt have to deal with that.
Washer/Dryer conveniently located in the garage so you can do laundry. Lots of beach towels and chairs available. Cooler and sun shade available to use and take to the beach as well.
If you want to cook you will need to bring your own spices and oil. Only salt and pepper in the house. Every other place we have stayed had additional items, something to consider. Also, only one roll of paper towels and no napkins at all, so stop at the grocery store if you are going to be here for a few days.
We would absolutely stay here again! Amazing Views!!!!

Our family of 7 (teens to 80+) stayed here for 10 days & could not have been happier with our choice of house/location!
The setting right on the water is BEAUTIFUL; glorious views + a 24/7 soundtrack of breaking waves + a constant ocean breeze made things feel magical all the time. One of our big drivers for selecting the property was the snorkeling in the protected area/reef right out the back door; it was great for how easy/low-effort it was! We also had fun exploring the tide pools on the daily - there was tons to see.
The house itself isn't anything fancy per se but was perfectly nice, comfortable & well stocked w/kitchen stuff & beach gear. There's a huge lawn + a bocce set so we put that to good use. Only real criticism is no gas grill; we made do with the charcoal one but not having a gas grill at a big rental home seems downright silly given their cost these days??
Addressing some concerns from previous reviews: with the ocean breezes + fans going everyone was perfectly comfortable sleeping at night/no need for AC. And we had ZERO issues with noise from locals using the adjacent beach; a number did throughout our stay but everyone was super-friendly/nothing but positive interactions.
Big picture the Anahola location on the east coast is awesome. Loved how peaceful it was outside of a big population center. Tons to do nearby & not that long of a drive to even the furthest reaches along the south & north shores.
Would 1000% recommend & stay here again!

This rental is located on a pristine coastline with a back yard that steps down right on the sand. The area just off the beach is good for snorkeling though there was a strong current when we stayed in late April during some heavy rainstorms. The sound of the waves and smells of the flowers were the best part. The age of the house with malfunctioning security system and smoke detectors was not great. We had to do some maintenance to get the security system to stop chirping. Property management was little help. The slider in the living room is very difficult to use. Other than that the house is well equipped and functional. Just remember you're there for the beach and the Aloha and the rest just won't matter that much.

We had the most amazing time in Kauai, one of our favorites was the home. It had plenty of room for our family of 7. We were able to huddle together or separate for privacy. The kitchen is large with all the cooking utensils/cookware you’ll need, even a rice cooker.
The rocks you see in the photo actually create a protective reef, we snorkeled everyday. And once the water goes out you can go out even farther, because there is another reef (you can see in the Ariel photo) We watched whales every morning from the top deck. Bring binoculars!
Plenty of towels, blankets etc. the couch turns into a bed as well.
Outside there is a shower to wash yourself off from the beach. Locals park and swim next door, but they are kind and never bother. We walked the whole beach until the next curve. We saw turtles, octopus, Persian man of war, multitudes of fish in our beach front. It was truly the best place to be.
Location was great, quite, away but not far. Kapa’a where we spent most of our time, was only 15 mins south. Poipo about 45. Prineville about 40.
There was beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and various swim gear, including life jackets that I was surprised wasn’t mentioned. Although we did bring our own snorkel gear, there is some there.
My only complaint was no pepper, there was salt but no pepper. Property management was great! I called a couple of times with silly questions and they were always happy to answer and help.
We would rent this home over and over again.

Wonderful 270 degree views of the ocean from the main level is the highlight of this property. Hearing the waves all day was very relaxing. Property is a 10 minute drive from Kapa'a and 20 from Hanalei. Traffic going south was very bad so beware of the construction going on in and around Kapa'a. Public beach next door was a minor issue at times, especially at night when the car lights illuminate the house. Gas was stolen the last night from our car parked in the driveway overnight, so get a car with locked gas cap! Great property manager communication. Ice maker doesnt work so bring ice! Overall, a great family trip!

Aliamanu Palms was in the perfect location for access to the water and the amazing sunrises. It was very peaceful during the day. The house was hot most of the time due to the lack of air conditioning which made it difficult to sleep. There were also lots of locals pulling up right beside the house to use the beach during the night. Some of them were very noisy (loud music, squealing tires,high power fire works) and all of them flash their headlights onto the house as they were pulling in. Two of the 3 bedrooms face the public right of way and you have to lock the windows because of the people near the house (so hot inside). One night there were three police cars outside because one of the neighbors called about the noise and so the house was like a disco club with the flashing lights. It was about 3:00 a.m.. it was a very busy location. Much better during the day than at night. Lots of things have been updated but the master bathroom definitely needs some help. The toilet seat wasn't even attached and the first night I went in there in the dark and slid right off the toilet. The property management sent somebody out the next day and put a new seat on it. Very prompt service. All in all the pluses outweigh the minuses because who needs to sleep when you're in Kauai!

This was one of the most beautiful locations on the island! We felt like we were living a dream for 15 amazing days. Location, Location, Location! An Amazing view from any room, window in the house! Anyone lucky enough to stay at this home won't be disappointed. We had my 88 yr old mother with my husband and my daughter and our grandson. And my brother and his girlfriend joined us from Maui for a week and they loved it!!! My mother loved just sitting on the top deck in the corner with the breeze and read a couple books on that trip! She loved it. She also went snorkeling at Anini Beach and tubing down the canal through Kauai back country.... Everyone thanked me for picking such a great house! This house is by far the best place we have ever stayed in! When we arrived we could not believe the location. It is right on the water and the views were breathtaking. We snorkeled every day in the cove right in front of the house and we saw so many incredible fish. The small cove was surrounded by rocks and felt like a large private saltwater pool filled with tropical fish. Our son went out of the cove and spearfished, he had a great time and caught some incredibly large fish. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Kauai!

The house is delightful, the views are amazing, the access to the ocean was perfect. The draw back is the locals on Friday and Saturday night. As a guest to the house we are asked to respect the locals. It is very hard to when they are parting until 3 in the morning and then leaving their mess on the beach and the houses lawn area. Someone even took a trash can. During the week it was quiet but watch out for the weekend.

The location is perfect for exploring all around the island. Photos of this house and grounds are ok... In reality, the views are indescribably beautiful and change by the hour. Inside, the furniture looks and feels much better than in photos. The couch is super wide and perfect for cuddling. Local art is throughout the home. Honestly, I searched elsewhere bc of past reviews about "locals" on the public beach next door. Please don't let that beach dissuade you! In a week, we saw maybe 2 people per day, and they were so nice and quiet. If they're not nice, perhaps it's bc we can ruin what they have.... Enjoy this beauty, while anyone can.

Aliomanu Palms was an ideal vacation house, in a rural setting with beautiful views to the ocean. Being halfway between Poipu and Hanalei, it was within an easy drive to either location. Kauai Vacations handled our rental efficiently and promptly replenished the few missing kitchen items that we needed.

Anahola is a quiet spot on Kauai. The house was roomy and very comfortable...there were only two of us. It was very clean and the space was bright and open. It had a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. There weren't any seasonings (salt/pepper, soy sauce, etc.) like most homes offer. The second floor lanai had unforgettable views. We spent the majority of our time there. Unfortunately, the neighbor was renovating the little bungalow next door and blocked the driveway our entire stay and he listened to construction noise. I guess that's just poor timing for us. Also, just a heads-up that there is a vacant lot on the other side of the house that is frequented daily by locals. This house is perfect if you don't want to drive up to Princeville or down to the Poipu area. It's stunning and we'd surely return.

Aliomanu Palms made our trip 15th trip to Kauai the BEST yet! Waking up and watching the sunrise on our choice of 2 lanai’s was spectacular. This ocean front location is hard to beat. We felt the price was very reasonable for the house and location. Anahola is a great, centrally located, town to begin and end your daily adventures. The house was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and large enough for several adults. The island breeze kept the upstairs cool and enjoyable. Most definitely a hidden gem on Kauai.

View was worth the money and cannot be beat! The house is dirty, infested with ants, millipedes, cockroaches and scorpions! Quite frightening. Property is adjacent to a small public beach on the side of the house not seen in photo where locals camp out all day and sleet overnight, using the shrubbery on the property line for a toilet. Cannot eat on the lanai because of all the flies generated by the shrubbery toilet. Overnight locals flashed bright lights and car head lights into the windows on that side of the house as late as 3am. Did not feel safe and could not sleep.Master shower leaks through the floor into the garage beneath. How long until that floor gives way? No doubt there is mold in the floor and walls. Unsafe for everyone.

Arrived to a meticulously clean house with everything that we needed. The view from the top balcony is incredible - probably 250 degrees of ocean wrapping around the deck. A private location with an asterisk. The location was great. There is a general store that has most everything you need plus fantastic Poke just down the road, and across the street from the store is a juice place that has the best acai bowls we have ever experienced. If you want to go somewhere it is right about in the middle of everything, but everything is a bit of a drive away. We didn't find it bad and frankly the traffic on Kauai is going to be the same no matter where you stay. I would say that if your top priority is privacy and getting away from the crowds you will like this place. * There is a small public beach with 3 or 4 parking places adjacent to the house. There were some great families that parked there, but also some very sketch people. Had a few people walk right through the property on the lawn. All in all it wasn't a big deal - just be prepared for it. The ocean here is quiet and dark. There are no jet skis or boats and it is off the helicopter tour route, so none of that noise either. Snorkeling off the beach in the rocky cove in front of the house was pretty easy and quite rewarding for small colorful fish. We probably saw 6 people park next door to go spear fishing. It was interesting to watch them. We also saw a really beautiful family come down for a beach day and they were precious. Best sighting though was an endangered Monk Seal swimming right by the front of the house. That was very cool. The house has engineered wood floors. I'm sure they regret it. It makes you a bit timid and there are a lot of rules about the place because of it. They really ought to consider putting in some tile on a beachfront rental property.If we go to Kauai again we'd certainly consider this property. For just the 2 of us it was a

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house--and Hawaii--exceeded our expectations, with breath-taking views and all the amenities we needed. This property is well-cared for and simply beautiful. It was our first trip to Hawaii, and I am sure it will not be our last. Thank you for a great experience.
