Larsen's beach is one of Kauai's most beautiful beaches due to the nice foliage surrounding the beach. Although Larsen's can offer good snorkeling during the summer, conditions are simply too deceptive and dangerous, with strong currents channeling through the reefs. As such the ocean here should be approached with extreme caution, noting that strong currents exist even in perfectly calm conditions. Snorkeling at Larsens is for experts only, or those with a support craft. A pleasant 10 minute walk takes one from the parking area to the beach. Larsens beach has a reputation as a nude beach, however the beach is usually very quiet with perhaps a solitary nudist seeking to enrich their skin..
