We loved staying here. The Fairways is a nice location and a lovely complex and this unit was great: clean, well equipped, nicely decorated, plenty of towels, kitchen pantry items, bikes, beach/snorkel stuff. Our host Joan was responsive and gracious. We look forward to returning!

Property was exactly as described & perfect for our family with young children. Pool was great as it had a smaller toddler section, hot tub ok (only 8+ & was more of bathtub temp) The Muana Lani beach is perfect for young kids (ours are 2-8) & generally has very little wave activity as its very sheltered so great for snorkeling, swimming & playing in the sand.

Very clean and well equipped. All kinds of pool/ocean toys, coolers and chairs. Kitchen was very well stocked including spices and condiments. Great location. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time staying in this townhome. This was the best stocked VRBO that we have seen, from beach chairs, towels and toys, to a very well-stocked kitchen. Joan's communication was excellent, and she couldn't be nicer to deal with. My family of four (including our two teenage daughters) found this unit nicely comfortable and well-furnished. The bed in the primary bedroom is extremely comfortable. The Fairways subdivision is located in a great spot, easily accessible and close to everything, and has a nice pool that we used frequently. We definitely plan to stay in this townhome on our next visit to the Big Island.

We are no strangers to Mauna Lani, but this was our first experience to The Fairways. The Fairways is a great place to stay, very quiet and private, with nice amenities. We enjoyed the pool/spa area almost every day. The kitchen was nicely stocked. We did have an issue with the upstairs TV not working, and the shower heads were "meh." But we had a wonderful experience overall.

This condo is in a well maintained gated community right off a beautiful golf course. This house is roomy, comfortable, and has all the amenities. The best perk is access to the private beach club. This cove actually has pretty good snorkeling with easy entry into the water. It is great little beach for small children, families, and people who just want to relax and enjoy the warm water. There is a restaurant at the club as well. The food is spendy, but the service is excellent. There is also a nice pool that is only steps from the house. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were cozy, and we had everything we needed for a nice stay in the area.

We loved the location near the Fairmont Orchid. There was a nice grocery in the neighborhood shopping center, and plenty of good restaurant options in several nearby resorts. The road to Kona was an easy beautiful 30 minute drive. The location was also a great jumping off point for a Hilo day trip.
The townhouse was well stocked (including kitchen and laundry) and very clean with comfortable beds. There was plenty of room for a couple or for family with 1or 2 kids. The pool area is also very nice, and we used it daily. The beach club is also very nice, but get there early because it is popular. Golfers can choose from courses right in the neighborhood.
Most importantly, the host is very communicative and responsive. This was especially helpful prior to arrival, as we had a needed medical delivery that had to be arranged. We have fond Big Island memories.

Everything was as described. The property is very nice. There were a lot of extras like all the beach gear. We left some nicer snorkel masks so hopefully future guests will enjoy. The place was well supplied including beach towels, even ziplocks and laundry detergent! Much appreciated. The pool was steps away. The beach club is great for people who want to lounge on the beach. We enjoy snorkeling and boogie boarding so went up to Hapuna for a larger more active beach but it was only 15 minutes away. We also surfed down in Kona which is pretty close as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. Townhome was very clean and had all the essentials we needed. Joan was very responsive on a few minor questions/concerns we had. We appreciated the signs asking to remove shoes when you enter as we are “shoes free” inside our house as well. We also appreciated the upscale washer and dryer as well. Would definitely stay here again. It’s always so hard to leave Mauna Lani!

This is our third stay at this property. Each year something is improved. Brian and Joan Shea continually update. All utilities are top notch and in perfect condition. Staples are fully supplied with electronic and internet/ cable connection state of the art. All in all, we are so pleased with no negative comments.

Had an amazing stay at this property. The owner is great to work with, very responsive. The grounds were well-manicured, had a nice pool, and the location is ideal (close to a market and restaurants). Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club is a huge plus. Home is well appointed with everything you could need to cook meals, beach towels, TV/cable. Also, the beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, etc were great to have.

What an amazing place to stay. The place had everything you could ask for. Kitchen, bedroom, outside area and lots of beach stuff. I can’t imagine anything else we would have needed. Beautiful and clean. The place is close to the Hapuna beach and it was beautiful. It’s just the best place ever!!!

The condo was very clean and comfortable for our stay. We had plenty of beach towels, chairs, etc. There were also a lot of small items stocked like coffee filters, shampoo, and laundry detergent. Joan went above and beyond to make our stay easy and comfortable. When we had a question, she answered quickly. It was an excellent experience.

We had an wonderful time at The Fairways 1706 condo in the Mauna Lani resort area (25-30 mins North of Downtown Kona). Joan was an awesome communicator and host. She was instrumental in helping me get a bike I shipped to the condo so I could assemble it (and now you can use it if you stay here)! The Fairways resort is the most quiet and calm place I've stayed at while vacationing. What a renewing/refreshing experience. This is just what we needed after 2 years of craziness. I highly recommend Joan and her condo as your next place to stay in Kona!

This unit is nicely discounted, great for longer stays. It was cleaned spotless for us and it's stocked with everything necessary. Two things to be aware of.
First, this unit is adjacent to a garbage bin enclosure. There are very few of those in Fairways and the entry door is right next to it. So are the windows of the small downstairs bedroom.
Second, both bath and beach towels are very old. I looked at the bath towels and have not touched them once. We used the beach towels, still not sure if that was the right idea. May be it's time to change them all. Bedding is synthetic.

Great unit. All you need to live with and lots of beach stuff. The only reason I did not give 5 stars, is the pool was closed for repairs. Joan is a very good host. Always replied quickly to our answers.

Townhouse was exactly as we expected. Very clean and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. Joan provided excellent communication throughout our stay. Access to the pool and beach club were wonderful. We were so sad to leave and can't wait to return. Would definitely stay here again!
