The Speth's Hawaiian home on Maui doesn't disappoint. The first week of our 40 year-in-the-making Hawaiian vacation was everything we wanted and more. There was plenty of room for our six adults to spread out and never be on top of one another. We spents hours every day on the lanai enjoying the spectacular views. We could certainly tell the Speths actually use their home, as it was not missing anything our family needed all week. Jim's emails were packed full of info that was greatly appreciated. Thank you Jim and Aubrey for being such spectacular hosts.

Windows and shades need a bit of dusting- but not serious.
The home has everything you need!
Everything (home, sofas, blinds, building) is a bit older than it looks in the pictures- can be updated (we would still return as is!).
Cindy the property manager was very helpful.
We had wifi problems and she (and Jim) were super responsive and sorted everything out super quick (new router!).

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our 7-person/3-generation week-long trip to Maui! This condo is easily accessible, comfortable, and the owners & manager were easy to work with and responsive. The 1st floor location is really convenient, with the beach and pool literally steps from the lanai. We actually preferred the beach here to any others we went to. It just felt safer (less waves) and was more relaxing. The AC was a must for us and was very efficient and easy to use. The view was spectacular!! We spent every morning and evening relaxing on the lanai. I could sit there all day! The condo was spacious enough for the 7 of us and was well-stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this condo-it is worth every penny!
Just a couple things to consider (which absolutely would NOT prevent us from staying here again, but for full transparency):
- Though not related to this specific condo, but the building itself, the parking spots here are TINY making it hard to find a spot at times and get people/items in and out of the vehicle. If you use a larger vehicle, this gets annoying.
- The beds in the two front bedrooms are quite firm. If you like firm beds, you'll love them. If you're used to softer beds (we have a Tempurpedic at home) there will be an adjustment period for your back.
Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this condo and we will be return guests if we have another family trip to Maui.

This place is absolutely perfect for a family with little kids. They can run around on the lawn in front without getting in trouble. The little protected beach is also perfect for little ones since the waves never get big. The big beach is good for long walks.
The patio with an unobstructed view of the ocean is great for morning coffee and afternoon drinks.

I have rented this same unit multiple times. Jim is easy to work with and corresponds quickly to even my repeated questions. The location is great. The mornings in the fish pond drinking coffee and seeing turtles and a sunrise is only beat by gathering for the awesome sunsets right out front. We grill most nights and the grassy area is great for friends and family to enjoy the evening. The bigger kids can go over to the beach if they want a little space and it is all right there. The unit is easy and clean and everything is very comfortable. I think the mattresses are new this year as well. They are perfectly firm. We will be back again and again.

The visit rejuvenated me… the beautiful view from the lanai… the sunsets, the sunrises, the moon shining over the water, the turtles bobbing up and down in the water early in the morning, the colorful canoes coming by… Other guests walking by and waving… saying Hi… It is a beautiful Condo for young and old…It is a wonderful place for active people ...or for people that just want to relax and enjoy the ambiance... It is very well stocked with everything you need and want ...not only for in the Condo, but also for taking with you to the beach!
There are beautiful beaches on each side of the Condo. The Lagoon.in front, is a popular spot with families with children and snorkelers...There is an Indian Restaurant in the Complex that has wonderful food...
In the 25 years that I have been going to Maui, this Condo, in my opinion, has the Best view in Kihei… Best view in Maui.....

The condo was a great place for us to stay, especially because we had 3 littles who enjoyed the beautiful lawn right out of our Lanai, as well as morning walks along the shore to visit the turtles. The view from the Lanai and entire front room and kitchen are just breathtaking! Everything that we needed for our stay was there at the condo from kitchen items to sand toys and beach chairs, beach umbrellas etc. The entire process of renting the condo was a breeze. Any questions that we had about the condo were answered promptly. In addition, the condo is situated in an area where you can get to anywhere on the island. You can visit Lahaina, the Lavender Farm, Iao valley and be there in a short time. I highly recommend this condo to anyone who wishes to experience an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Maui.

This three bedroom unit was perfect for our family! Jim was super easy to work with, provided a lot of details about the condo and the surrounding area, and was very responsive to all our questions.
The oceanfront view was amazing. The location, next to the fish pond, with so many turtles to see and the shallow swimming area was perfect for little ones. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved the humpback whale center and learned how to snorkel. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed, as well as beach toys and baby equipment (playpens, strollers, high chair) as an added bonus.
I would highly recommend this unit for a relaxing family vacation.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Jim and Audrey’s home. Jim kindly welcomed us with very little notice, allowing us to relocate after the tragic Lahaina fire and West Maui power outages. We were grateful we could remain on Maui as respectful visitors, supporting local businesses and making donations to help the people of Maui.
The condo is spacious, clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The A/C worked well when we needed it, but we preferred opening the slider and windows for the ocean breeze and listening to the surf. We absolutely loved the amazing view and the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed swimming in the Kō‘ie‘ie Fishpond right in front of the condo. Every morning, we walked right off the lanai into the beach park to see the green sea turtles in their resting spots on the rock wall and sand. Friendly staff from the Marine Sanctuary Visitor Center (next door) told us all about the turtles and the local environment. The location in Kihei is central, making it easy to get to other areas of the island. It's also a short drive to supermarkets, great restaurants, shave ice, shopping and other beautiful beaches for snorkeling, etc. We would definitely stay in this condo again. Jim and Audrey, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Jim and Audrey’s Maui home. The view when we entered is breathtaking. Being on the first floor is perfect to access all the outdoor activities just a few short steps away. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we found there wasn’t anything that we wished we had or needed. Jim was so easy to communicate with before our trip and even during when we had a couple questions. We will most definitely return!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Menehune Shores. The condo was clean, well stocked and located in a great location on the property. The grounds and pool are very well maintained . We enjoyed being able to swim and see sea turtles in the ancient hawaiian fish pond in front of the complex. We would definitely stay in this condo again.

We are so grateful to have found this amazing condo back in 2018. We had a 3 generational family visit in 2019 (in-laws, us and kids) and returned again last week. What can I say? Location is perfect. Stroll out the slider onto the beach every morning to see the Turtles and fish. Amazing sunset every night. Plenty of space for living and sleeping. Attentive owner and on island manager. Washer and Dryer in unit. Beach chairs, boogie boards and toys. Close to amenities (food, shops, local swap meet, golf, etc). Short drive to Wailea. Easy drive to Lahaina. I would definitely recommend this unit 1000% of the time. Mahalo!

The pictures on-line of this Condo are accurate-beautiful views and easy access to the water.it is centrally located and worked well for us to experience all parts of Maui. It was well equipped and is definitely set up to accommodate a large group. The closets are stocked with baby gear, beach toys, coolers and chairs. For our family of 4 the size was perfect, we utilized the well equipped kitchen,and our kids appreciated having their own bedrooms. If you like firm mattresses you will enjoy as they are in all 3 bedrooms. Make sure you visit the turtles right next door in front of the man-made rock barrier - really nice as you can walk around the calm water and get close up look at the fish and turtles.

My family of 7 had plenty of room! The location was awesome!!! We saw turtles every morning on the beach. The pool was clean. The condo was everything the pictures show. Location in Kihei was nice. We walked downtown Lahaina and we all said that we were glad we didn’t stay there (too many people). I would recommend Costco and Safeway (sign up for the discount) to shop at for food. The only thing I would recommend is having some cleaning supplies (for the bathrooms). After spending 10 days there and 7 adults they could have used a little wiping down. Otherwise no complaints and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here! Owners were great to work with and so was their house manager. We did have to contact her once about the sliding door and TV. They were there within a day and fixed the sliding door. Mahalo for sharing your home with my family!

This is an amazing place to stay!
Ages in our group were: 50's, 30's, 20's and ages 4 & 6.
We were there for eight nights and couldn't have been happier. The pool is a 30 second walk from the condo, as is the grilling area. The ocean is a few steps down and within throwing distance of the Turtle Resting area. There is a restaurant on site with the most amazing staff.
The owners were unbelievably flexible with our schedule.
I have already talked to my girlfriends and our travel couples about going back.
It's everything we had hoped for - and more!

The condo is in a great location in Kihei. We saw beautiful sunsets in the evening & enjoyed morning breakfasts out on our lanai—so calm & peaceful. We loved being on the first floor—it was amazing to walk right out into the yard, & so convenient for unloading. We loved having the little beach right outside & were dazzled by the turtles. The bedrooms were spacious & the A/C worked great at night. The kitchen was well-equipped & it was nice to have space to spread out. We were thankful for the washer & drier, especially at the end of our stay when we could do laundry before packing up. We also really appreciated the beach chairs & beach towels—it was nice to have those for the beach!
There were drawbacks to the condo development, none of which Jim & Audrey could do anything about, but are things to be aware of. First, the pool is small & always very crowded. Parking was also a challenge if we got back after sunset. We struggled more than once to find a spot. Lastly, the restaurant in the condo development omits a strong odor, so be prepared for that. Again, these aren’t things they can change & wouldn’t deter us from staying again.
We had a great experience start to finish with—great communication beforehand, including lots of tips on things to do. Check in & check out were easy as can be. By the end of our week on Maui, it truly felt like home & we were sad to leave to move on to the Big Island. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever make a return trip to Maui!

We wanted to take our son to Maui on his senior spring break and the trip did not disappoint at all. The location of this property is great as there are a ton of beaches close by that are amazing for looking at wildlife. There are beaches right out the back door but it’s hard to snorkel as the water isn’t as clear BUT the number of turtles you will see on the rocks each morning is amazing!! We did have some issues with the water and the hot water heater had to get replaced when we were there but I will say Cindy, the local contact was fantastic. She answered within minutes, and found someone to fix that day which isn’t common when you are on island time. I was very grateful for her. She even checked on us the next day to make sure all was working correctly.

We had a wonderful time at this condo. Waking up each day with the water view directly in front of us was amazing. Letting the kids run down to the beach and watching them swim without even leaving the patio was wonderful. The most special part we’re the turtles. Instead of searching all of Maui for turtles, they were on the beach each morning! We also were surprised at the amazing restaurant on site! Kihei is also very conveniently located so overall, this was a perfect stay for our family!

Perfect for a home for a family of 6. First day we saw whales from back patio. Second day we swam with the turtles in ocean area in the backyard. About 30 minutes away from anywhere you want to go. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city so when your at the house you are secluded on the tropical paradise.
Owners are very responsive and helpful.

This condo was perfect for our stay, our 3 Grandsons loved playing on the grass which was right off the patio. We could see whales breaching and beautiful sunsets from the patio. The condo was clean and well equipped. All rooms have A/C available when you need it, but the breeze from one end of the condo felt great and usually no A/C was needed. We had other relatives staying in a condo above us and they had no A/C had to repair some of the furniture and buy some kitchen items upon their arrival. I,m sure we will be arm wrestling to see who gets to rent the Speth's condo first upon our return. The owners had the dishwasher replaced while we were there, the old one worked fine, but it shows they stay on top of the preventative maintenance! Again great stay!

Our family of 6 (adults) enjoyed this 3 BR, 2 Bath property very much. I could hardly tear myself away from the 1st floor, oceanfront lanai whale watching to go do other things! Literally every single time I picked up the binoculars (which they had graciously provided, in additon to the 2 pairs we travel with!), there was whale activity: breaching, diving...just magnificent! We could also see sea turtles just 50-75 feet away.
With beach access on either side of the property (and LOTS of beach gear provided by the owners), it was super easy to enjoy this little slice of Maui paradise. We rented Auntie's Snorkel gear for the week and also left behind some floatie / noodles for the next occupants.
What we loved: What a fantastic view! The sunset right outside our door/lanai; 1st floor access to outdoors, with room for all six of us on the lanai; seating for six at the dining room table and also 2 sofas (both foldouts if you need the extra sleeping room!); some toiletry items in the bathroom; plenty of towels (including 6 beach towels); parking included; Indian restaurant in our building; quiet, with the bedrooms well separated from each other and no noise from other units; beautiful pool on property (we didn't use but it was there!); grills for our use in public area (we did use those!); rooftop deck for sunset viewing; large refrigerator; room in cabinets to put our groceries; in unit washer / dryer. Owners were super accessible and responsive to our messages / requests; loved the keyless entry (especially with 6 adults!); loved the expansive windows. We slept with them open some of the time! There's nothing like sleeping with the sounds of the ocean right outside your window. :-)
Room for improvement: This condo was awesome, but there's always room to improve! The unit was clean enough, but the floors could really use a good scrub (I would recommend checking with the cleaning staff); sliding doors are a little rough (need a little maintenance); twin beds were squeaky; headboard in master BR is not connected to the bed (awkward; just needs to be attached!)
Recommended additions: A footwash bin to place on the lanai would be awesome and help keep sand out of the condo; a recycling bin would make it easier to be environmentally responsible, especially since there is a place to put it with other trash outside.
The concerns above are all minor. We would definitely rent with Jim and Audrey again. Mahalo!

I brought my family and stayed in your Hawaiian home. The condo was the right size and comfortable for the 8 of us. We really enjoyed being so close to the “fish pond,” and the location is convenient to the beaches, restaurants and shops in Kihei. It is also an easy drive from there to Kahului, Makawao and Paia.
We enjoyed viewing the sunsets, turtles and whales breeching in the distance from the shore.
It was a special and memorable vacation for the whole family.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property, and it was as amazing as the first time! The location is perfect - close to stores, restaurants, shops, and beaches. It is also a very easy drive to Lahaina and Wailea. The lagoon right outside the condo is full of sea turtles swimming and sunbathing on the rocks. The water is shallow with no waves, so it is perfect for the kids to go out and play. We cannot recommend this location enough - we cannot wait to go back!

Yes, this property is just as listed. We were very pleased with the air conditioning in the unit. We noticed while we were on Maui in September that the best time to snorkel is early in the morning, between 7 and 10 am. After noon the wind and waves pick up and that is the best time to boogie board. Highly recommend beaches to the south for snorkeling, renting clear bottom kayaks and taking family pictures with Karma Hill Photography. Overall fabulous vacation, can't wait to come back!

Jim and Audrey's Maui Home is truly the real deal. From the moment I began dealing with Jim, my experience has been phenomenal. A trip of a lifetime with my Mom and sister, this 3 bedroom unit became the perfect reality for us! From the moment you walk into the front door, look through the spacious patio doors, out to the breathtaking ocean, to the comfortable bedrooms and tastefully decorated condo, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
We were fortunate enough to stay for 2 full weeks and we honestly felt so lucky it was our real life experience!
We added a few beach chairs and umbrella's and left them with the condo for others to enjoy!
We daily went to the beach IN front of the property to look at the turtles as they come in at low tide to rest.
My contact with Jim was excellent and very responsive.
I highly recommend Jim and Audrey's Maui Home if you have the great fortune to visit Maui!

Celebrated my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary in Maui and this condo was perfect for us. We had older family members as well as teens and everyone loved the condo and it’s perfect central location in Maui. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. This place was perfectly appointed with tons of beach equipment (chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, tons of towels, snorkel gear, coolers etc) and kitchen had everything you could need. Beds were all very comfortable and AC worked well and ocean breezes also kept us cool. Best location and view in the complex as well and ground floor location was perfect for an elderly parent with mobility issues. 5 stars all around!

The moment we entered the condo, we knew we were home for next next 10 days. The condo is large, nicely decorated in Hawaiian theme and provides all the necessities visitors need for their stay. We knew the unit would have great views....but wow!!! We loved sitting outside watching the surf in the morning and evening. The small cove to the right of the porch had so many turtles each morning. We loved watching them (from an appropriate distance) each morning. The beaches around the unit were nice for walking in the morning. And the cove is the perfect depth for families with young children. We did seek out other beaches once the afternoon winds came. There are many beach toys, boogie boards, beach towels, and an umbrella provided in the unit. That was really helpful.
The location allowed us to easily access all the parts of the island we wanted to visit.
Communication with the owners was easy and all questions were answered quickly.

Book this property, you won’t regret it! The location is perfect and central, easy parking access to come and go frequently, pool and beach are right out the door. Checking in was a little confusing but we did check in early so thankful they can accommodate. The contact for the property picked up the phone and helped us get in the room. The rooms were perfect and everything was clean and set up for us. Way better than booking at a hotel, for sure!

Loved our stay, enjoyed that there were boogie boards, fishing poles, sand toys, coolers etc. it was fun to watch the kayaks come in every morning and do their ceremonies from the ocean side of the condo. This is my favorite place, and Condo, to go to in ALL the Hawaiian Islands. The Condo is on the ground floor and in the center of the complex, which is very convenient when you come with children.... or, as I did this time, with my 80-year-old sister-in-law. Being in the center of the complex gives you the best view of the beautiful Ocean and magnificent Sunsets. The Condo is a spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, Condo with ALL the conveniences you need, including a washer and dryer.
I like the Kihei location of the Condo....It is between the busy Lahaina and Wailea area .... and not in the Kaanapali "Hotel Row" area....This Condo, and location, is a comfortable, spacious, beautiful place to come to and stay ...to either enjoy the many activities available in Maui ...or just relax on the Lanai and watch the Lagoon that is in front of you where canoes will be leaving out of in the early morning hours or listen to the waves of the Ocean and watch the spectacular daily Sunsets... Our Hosts Audrey and Jim Speth were/are very accommodating ....I would return to this Island Paradise in a heartbeat and would stay in the same Condo....

This is the second time we have stayed in this condo and we had just as an amazing time as the first time around. There is nothing like sipping your coffee on the lanai while watching the turtles in the fish pond and the whales in the distance. It is such a magical place. The location is perfect as a starting poing for all activities on the island, and it is fully stocked with everything needed for vacation. I love that you can walk off the lanai onto the grass and over to the beach. Being on the first floor is awesome! We used the rooftop grills this time around and the view from up there is amazing. The property manager was quick and very attentive when we needed her assistance as well. We will definitely be booking all future stays here until we get our own condo on Maui.

We stayed in the Speth’s condo the 1st week of the year for our first family vacation. I can’t speak highly enough about this condo/location. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to feel comfortable and make meals.
There is ac units in all the rooms for days when it’s hot. We LOVED the location And the two minute walk to the beach. We took a walk with our two year old twins every morning along the beach. The closets were stocked with play toys for kids as well as adults. Having the Lanai that walk straight onto the grassy area was clutch. This is in my opinion the best location in the entire building. The location literally made our stay! Unfortunately when we were there, there had just been storms so the water wasn’t clear but we were told that the water is normally clear along the beach. We didn’t have to reach out to the property manager at all. Check in and check out was super easy. As a parent of two year old twins, We love that there wasn’t a ton of knickknacks as decoration so that they don’t break anything. Overall we would definitely book this place again it was amazing!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend Christmas and New Years in Jim and family's Hawaiian home with our kids, their spouses and our grandkids. Six of us stayed in this condo with the other four in another condo in Menehune Shores. This condo is exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for our three week stay. The ground floor unit facing the ocean and just steps from the pool and beach was perfect. We have stayed in Maui many times over the past few decades and this was our favorite place. We found the location of Menehune Shores to be ideal - as mentioned just steps to some fabulous beach areas and adjacent to the menehune where it was always safe for young children to swim and play.

My two favorite things about this condo are the view and the beach. Every morning we enjoyed coffee and breakfast from the lanai and took in the gorgeous view (Bring binoculars during whale season). Then we made the 10 second walk down to the beach and enjoyed the sand and calm warm water. The beach is sheltered by the ancient fish pond wall making it a perfect beach for small children. For older kids and adults there was good snorkeling and many turtles to see.

A family vacation with daughter’s family, two granddaughters (4&2). It could not have been better. Well equipped with everything you need to keep the girls occupied including pack n play and beach activities. Perfect location for evening sunset, short walk (@150 yards) to a well defined protected beach for the girls including plenty of turtle watching and short distance to snorkel to reef for the adults or kite boarding if so inclined. Communication with Jim the owner could not be any better. Quick response to questions, seamless instructions, great recommendations. Location was excellent for other activities and both family friendly and adult dining. Could certainly see a return visit.

The location of this unit is great. You are front and center with an amazing view and easy access to the beach and pool. The family enjoyed morning walks on the beach and we got to experience the morning rituals by the folks at the whale sanctuary. Family had a blast! Owner was very easy to work with.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It was a beautiful condo with breathtaking views right from the couch! We traveled with our 3 and 5 year olds and the location was perfect for the kiddos. We were right off the water but there was a grassy area off the patio with a short wall that allowed me to feel comfortable with the kids playing outside without getting into the water. But, just a short walk away, there was a shallow beach where the kids could swim with sea turtles to look at! Kihea was very well positioned to experience many parts of the island without an excessive drive and was very close to great food too. We had such a wonderful time that we would love to come back to this condo every year! Lastly, Jim - the condo owner, was easy to work with and responded quickly to all of our questions. Thanks for being so awesome!

Our family had a wonderful vacation! This unit had everything we needed and more! We did have to contact the property manager to fix the lock on the sliding door- they were quick and kind! The only thing I would change is the mattress…but what’s uncomfortable for one guest can be perfect for the next! The beach on site had sea turtles everyday! This is a great property to really enjoy the views in Maui. This unit couldn't be closer to the waterfront and amazing view of the ocean. Having a ground unit that provides direct access to the grounds and the beach was one of the best features. The unit is well furnished and ready for our use. The communication with the owner was exceptional. He gave us all the information we would need about the property and the surrounding amenities. Would highly recommend this property.

So glad we had the opportunity to stay again in your condo. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful view, welcoming inside and outside. Between the many turtles, honu, and magnificent view, it’s an amazing place. The house cleaner did a thorough job, so no complaints. Great spot for children; swimming pool and access to ocean. The layout of the condo is perfect for a family. We look forward to coming back in the future.

None of us had ever vacationed in Hawaii before, it was a 15-year plan to come and it felt like a dream come true to enjoy this absolutely beautiful ocean view every morning. We were a bit hesitant to try a VRBO sight unseen and worried that we would be taken advantage of doing an online booking. However, we were blessed to stumble upon this vacation condo, which looked so inviting and colorful online. The reviews sounded good and the owners very responsive. Two important signs! We went ahead with our plans, all six of us had been vaccinated in the spring and Hawaii was graciously allowing visitors. It was the most incredible trip! Kihei turned out to be a beautiful little town, walking distance from the condo and central to all of our outings around the island. We are foodies, I highly recommend Kraken, an espresso food truck and Tsunami Burger. The island’s best shaved ice, Ululani’s, also close by. Kihei has great food choices and after travelling the entire island, we found Kihei to be perfect. Wailea village is nearby - Brekkie Bowls has amazing acai bowls. The condo is ground floor, very accessible, good parking, a spotless kitchen/bathrooms (a priority for me), fresh clean bedding/towels, stocked dinnerware, ample sized fridge/oven. Plenty of storage space for 10 days, dressers/closet space was important. Everything worked, overhead ceiling fans in each room as well as available air conditioning, and a screen patio door meant lots of fresh air. A washer/dryer was a plus for us. We appreciated the owners leaving a note to be economical with water/ AC/ electricity as we try to do the same. We also appreciated the available cleaning supplies & outdoor tap close by to wash off sandy feet. We were able to have a very clean & tidy environment. Online reviews mention the odors from the restaurant and cranky neighbors. Odors were noticeable at the front entrance as the restaurant leaves their kitchen door open, but this did not affect us as we kept the front door closed. Other occupants in the building were for the most part quiet. The biggest plus for us were the comfortable reclining deck chairs on the patios to view the sunset. These were a highlight and should be mentioned in the listing. Most comfortable. Lovely areas to walk/run/ bike steps from the condo. Perfect vacation. I was ready to go back a day later...if only vacations were free! Thank you so much to the owners!~

Our family of 10 absolutely loved staying at this roomy condo. The location was perfect for day trips around the island and my granddaughters, ages 4 & 8 loved the protected cove to swim and view the turtles. The grassy area allowed them to play and relax as well. After long days at local beaches and sightseeing it was wonderful to return, open the screen door, view the ocean and breathe in the ocean air. The only negative was the complaining neighbor upstairs who made gathering on the patio at times difficult even though it was not during quiet hours. She asked us to take our calls elsewhere when talking to family members back home. It was in the afternoon!
Thank you Speth family for sharing your home with us. We all left with wonderful family memories and a desire to return very soon. We shared our pictures and videos on Instagram and I would not be surprised if you get several calls from NM to book your lovely condo!
My son Caleb left a Cornhole board for future guest to enjoy. My granddaughters left swim float vests and sand toys for younger guests to enjoy. Again....Mahalo and we hope to return soon!

This condo is in an amazing location for sunset views, steps from a beach, and delicious smells coming from the restaurant...so good that we had try their food...twice :) Any questions and condo needs were met by the property manager. Thank you for a memorable family vacation.

We had a group of six adults and stayed very comfortably in this condo. Very well stocked, and close to everything. The sound of the ocean waves has become a distant memory since returning home, but the view from the lanai still lingers. Had a fantastic morning sitting on the lanai with coffee and watching the whales breaching in the bay. The roof top view is fantastic although can be quite windy. we had a rental car and travelled a lot - even braved biking down the volcano - well worth the altitude and switchbacks!
Jim (the owner) was very helpful and quick to respond. The information on places to eat and things to do that he provided was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. Great for 2 families to share or a group of adults (like we were). Very safe and beautiful!

We stayed here in December for an extended-family vacation (6 adults and 2 children) - and boy, are we sure glad we did! As soon as you open the door, it's so clear how well Jim & Audrey take care of their "home away from home". The condo is set up perfectly with the most AMAZING view - how inspiring to watch the Hawaiian sunrises and sunsets every day! We have two young children, and it was wonderful to have the water, along with an enclosed baby beach, steps away from the patio. This condo could not be better located - we were within 10-15 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go: the Maui Ocean Center, Makena/Wailea, grocery stores, delicious restaurants, snorkeling spots, etc.. Jim was such a pleasure to communicate with as well, always so responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I cannot recommend their condo enough - the entire experience, and our family vacation, was one of the best times we've ever had! Thank you so much, Jim & Audrey, for your hospitality and truly providing us with the Aloha Spirit! We can't wait to come back!

For a family (ours was 4), this condo/unit is an excellent size, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, has all the amenities needed (wifi for kids...ya). The unit is clean, condo complex well maintained and great location, not in the heart of busy (so to speak) Kihei. The building is 15 min from Kahului (costco, shopping), 25 min from Lahaina.
You can snorkel in the protected fish pond in front of the building but visibility is low. However, travel down to Makena State Park (little & big beach, 20 min; get there before noon as parking is limited), where snorkeling is excellent, lots of fish. The condo is across from Maalaea (15 min drive), where the Maui Aquarium is, (worth seeing), and the harbor where many companies/ships are located that take you out for whale and snorkeling tours (snorkeling at Molokini is recommended).
Another great plus for the condo is, as our son put it, "you can beach at the condo without having to pack up and make a half day commitment." Also you are bound to view sea turtles in the small protected fish pond in front of the condo building (but don't touch).
For those that like to cook, (and save $$), there are shared (clean) bbq's by the pool and on the roof top. The roof top is nice place to be too as the sun goes down, incredible view.
Finally for anyone like me (rising before sunrise), having the ground floor unit, facing the ocean was the ultimate, drinking coffee, being oceanside (literally 40 feet from the water), quiet, no traffic noise, waves rolling in, watching whales jump in the far distance (observed most mornings) ........what a great way to bring in a new day.

Many positives and one negative. Spacious, well equipped, two bedroom condo located right on the beach in North Kihei. Safe, well maintained building close to shopping and restaurants. We spent most of the time on the lanai with great views of ocean and West Maui. Located on probably the best walking beach on Maui; we had a great daily walks all the way to Maalea. Jim (the owner) was very nice and helpful. The only negative aspect is that ocean water in North Kihei is not very appealing for swimming.

Whenever we come to maui we stay at menehune shores. We stayed at 114 and absolutely loved it . Being on the ground floor was particularly nice. We had great winds and kite surfers were spectacular. Right outside our lanai. Thanks again Dinah and friends.

Wow! We stayed here with six adults and were very comfortable. The view from the patio was amazing and the complex it's self was great! Parking was easy and obtaining an extra parking pass from the office was also very easy. The accommodations within the unit were very adequate for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and kitchen gadgets. The front loading washer and dryer were very nice and very helpful for our 9 day stay. There is no air conditioning but plenty of fans to keep you cool. We happened to be there during an unusual weather pattern that brought rain each day and high humidity. The WiFi is unsecured and worked a bit below average in my opinion but hopefully you can avoid the need for Wifi while you are on vacation! The complex pool was very nice as well as the grilling area. The grounds of the complex are very well manicured and you felt as if you were on one of the resorts up the coast a bit. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys views of the ocean but isn't overly picky about the need for the finest things in life! This isn't the Ritz but was very adequate for our needs!

This unit is not family friendly due to the fact that the people living directly above this unit are permanent resident and complained to hole time because our 6 and 7 yr old children were playing out side. The furniture inside is soooo out dated. We are getting ready to go back to Maui in October and came across this listing and brought back a lot of bad memory's. There are a lot of much nicer units in the complex with up to date decor and better neighbors. Also the older people at the pool where not kid friendly.

Very open, easily accessible condo only steps from the screen door to the beach. We not only had the privilege of swimming in the ocean but also a clean, quiet pool was available. As there were not many people around we could walk for ever on the beach and when things became too quiet there were things to do only a quick drive from the doors or a bit longer to explore another (city). The restaurant served a great selection of Indian dishes and drinks when the cook wanted a holiday too. A truly beautiful spot.
