I stayed in your condos for my son’s wedding in Maui. They were perfect, not too big, location was great, many places within walking distance. My two sons rented out 2 more condos at this complex and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our condo was well equipped and clean. Great experience

Rented 1 bd condo for a week. Located right along the beach park/ocean. It was the best location, walkable to several restaurants and listening to the ocean at night. Condo was relatively quiet too except the occasional kid up at 4 am- poor parents. Condo itself is clean, simple but has everything for basic cooking. Our kids slept on the fold out couch- not comfy, but they didn’t seem to care. Bed was decent. Not squishy so that was good. Would stay again!

We stayed in unit 104. I found this condo unit lacking in privacy and security. The unit is just feet away from a public park with park visitors sitting uncomfortably close to our door. In the evening, it is dark which does not allow for us to see out, but park visitors can easily look into our unit. The front door of this unit had a very flimsy locking mechanism.

We love the location, the staff was great, but our unit was badly in need of updating. Cracked floor tiles, peeling wallpaper, old furniture, creaky bed... It certainly does not reflect what was paid for our stay.

If it was only the roaches or only the mice on the kitchen counter or only the dirty dishes in the cupboards or only the dirty floors or the worst bed in the world,,, this pace would be amazing.
Owner refused to respond to emails. Location is amazing and you cannot beat the price, but it was painfully obvious that the owner does not care at all about this property. Great location with a great price but what a piece of crap condo.

I hesitate to leave a good review because Hale Kai is already booked up in advance :) We are repeat visitors and always feel welcome, spoiled, and well looked-after by the the whole team. Thank you for another moment of paradise! To note is that everything was very clean and all the bedclothes were freshly washed, including the mattress protector. We enjoy the Farmer's Market and the Fish Market for over-priced, delicious snacks and meals. Rent snorkelling gear across the street and try Honolua Bay (vehicle needed) and Airport Beach for gorgeous coral reefs (30 minute walk south)!

Many of the comments are recognizing the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, however, they will be part of an overall experience. We have noticed a lack of upkeep in the property. Decking around pool in need of repair. Staff in office unavailable most of the time. We were in 104 and overall it was clean when we arrived, but sliding doors of shower difficult as well as door leading to patio. Difficult to open fridge without turning on the range. Need to be very careful because it happens unexpectedly. The location is spectacular and we have always enjoyed it thoroughly. Just some details need to be considered.

So happy to have stayed here. My dad and I stayed in #104 which was about 25 feet from the ocean from our lanai and the pool was directly out our front door. The property was very nice and everyone was friendly. My aunt lives up the road so that is why we choice Hale Kai. I have stayed in Honokowai once before and I enjoy that it doesn't have the large hotels and noise that Kaanapali has but it's very close to shops and restaurants.
The unit itself could be updated a bit but it was nice to have a kitchen and be able to make food/snacks when we wanted to.

We had a great experience staying at Hale Kai. The condo is located right on the beach walking distance from shops. The kitchen has everything you need. They have beach chairs and other stuff you can use for day trips around the island. We felt it was home away from home!

It was very nice. Great location, liked that the property isn’t super large. Unit was clean but everything seemed old. Would recommend to friends who don’t require resort rooms. Could walk to coffee, farmer’s market, stores, food. Central location to drive to a lot of places.

We love the location. Our room was the perfect spot. Easy walk to several shopping centers. The public park & beach just steps from our patio was heaven sent. Didn't have to go anywhere to see turtles or tide pool life. We would rent again. That said the unit could use updates: remove the green carpet in the bedroom, looks dirty & resurface kitchen cabinets, feel sticky & hard to open.

Beautiful property - property manager was always helpful and provided everything needed. 25 steps to the beach and within 5 minutes of all the west maui attractions without being right in the middle of all the touristy stuff. Farmers market across the street was an additional bonus! You gotta go here!
