Great condo; we essentially lived on the lanai; the pics are true. 3 sets of grills so we never needed to wait. Had everything we needed and was stocked with a few extras too. We had a great time.

Waves crashing just below our veranda, gorgeous sunsets, made this an unforgettable ocean stay. We loved the traditional Hawaiian decor, plantation fans and heavy drapes to help unit stay cooler during day while out exploring or golfing. Extremely well-stocked with everything needed and owner easy to reach with questions. A few things not working (like garbage disposal during our stay), but unbelievably perfect spot just high enough for complete privacy, nice covered parking area, comfortable bed with sound of waves and views of ocean, large veranda with eating table and chaise lounges, lots of great books for reading, made our 33rd anniversary trip fabulous. We thank the owners for sharing their unique property and hope to return next year.

We love this condo. The view takes your breath away. The ocean is right there! We loved watching the sunset from our lanai. In the morning the sky is pink over the ocean. Watching the surfers 🏄 was a nice pastime. The condo has everything you need. They even have boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels etc. We liked their incidentals closet where they have extra sunscreen and snorkeling supplies. The beds are comfortable, especially in the master bedroom. The second bedroom is smaller and located next to the walkway. The downside of the second bedroom is the trash truck! We were there a week and it came 3 times, at 6:30 am! The master bedroom is off the lanai. The ocean waves are loud, which I loved. Sliding doors separate the master bedroom from the living room.

2 couples from various generations on our honeymoons. We originally booked when we were all just friends. The two full bedrooms and two full baths work, adequate for spacing and privacy. The lanai was an excellent addition where we enjoyed peaceful mornings. We were so close to the water. We were able to clearly see a multitude of fish and turtles every day. The kitchen was more than adequately stocked. Easy access to the beach. As described with additional items there such as coolers, sun umbrellas and beach chairs.

In general we enjoyed staying here because the decor was comfortably Hawaiian. The location was very central being minutes from market day and good beaches, and the small beach outside condos and the Poke Shack being onsite. Specifically though in spite of owners being very helpful at the beginning they need to do personal maintenance inspection. One night the bathroom light fixture toppled over onto mirror, the sliding patio screen door did not slide well and often came off tracks, there were spiders and webs behind TV and in an upper cupboard, the bathrooms had off smell, the beach umbrella was broken and cooler storage pockets on beach chair backs were rusted shut. Also as a BnB owner myself I would never call my guest “ridiculous” for asking for more toilet paper a few times considering the cost relative to condo cost besides being rude…. Come with earplugs because the beautiful ocean view is a continual roar and street side room is traffic roar in mornings which having extra fan in room helped white noise a bit.

This place was amazing! Very accommodating host. We had a resident sea turtle that greeted us right outside our balcony in the water every morning. The sound of the ocean at night was peaceful. My kids and I absolutely loved it here and we will be back for sure!

Family of 4. We loved everything about this condo!!! Very clean, well kept and it has everything we needed. The beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. It has tide pools perfect for our young kids. We enjoyed watching the surfers and the beautiful sunset every night from the Lanai. Having all the windows/sliding doors open for fresh ocean breeze when we're home, we sleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean every day/night. Highly recommend this condo and definitely will rebook the same unit! Thank you for opening the Condo for us to make beautiful and unforgettable memories!!

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Bali Kai and highly recommend this place.
The view from the balcony is incredible. We enjoyed the mornings and evenings watching the waves, the surfers and the turtles. The table and the lounge chairs on the blacony got a lot of use by us.
The owners were very quick at responding.
The place is well stocked with everything you need. We really appreciated that it had a washer and dryer.
We also loved that our favorite Poke place was in the building.
The location was perfect for us as we did some exploring north and south of Kailua-Kona with our rental car.

The condo was perfect for vacationing with my husband, brother and sister in law!! Everything you could need is there to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The view from the lanai was incredible! Saw dolphins, turtles and fish!! Short drive to town and overall just a great location. Honestly can’t recommend enough! I will definitely be back when I come back to this beautiful island.

What a gorgeous location. It was made our reunion in Kona even more special. I highly recommend this place.
The 2nd bedroom is not great, it gets the morning sun, is hot and noisy, but if you can stay only in the main bedroom you would think you have landed in heaven.

Nice location to be in Hawaii wth a beautiful ocean view, but without the crazy crowds. The condo is beautifully furnished, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen and beach supplies, and very entertaining to watch surfers from the balcony! We depended on uber to get around, very easy, rode the free trolley too, but wish we had rented a car for really short and long trips.

We spent a week in April 2023 at this cozy appartment very well located just besides the ocean. It has everything to fill the needs of a family. We were 5 adults with plenty of room. The kitchen is very well equipped and the lanai very comfortable for our evening meals. Communication with the owners was great from the start throughout the whole process.
The only small thing is that it could become a little noisy at night in the secondary bedroom because it’s located on the streetside. Despite this, we had a wonderful stay and we highly recommend this property for a vacation in the Kona area.

You couldn’t possibly be any closer to the ocean!! Listening to the surf, the view-saw whales, turtle and colorful fish from the balcony!! Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable. You do need a car to get around, plenty of parking, Owners recommendations were very helpful, we would not hesitate to stay here again!!!!!

Two couples staying at property. Condo was a bit dated but everything worked properly. Location was convenient being a short ride to Kona where there were lots of restaurants and shops. View from condo was outstanding. Ed was very responsive to any concerns and/ or issues we had. My wife and I had to leave early due to a medical issue and Ed was more than fair reimbursing us part of our rate even though the other couple stayed on for the remainder of the trip.. Thank you Ed.

This condo has a great location, right along the coast. I got up every morning and sat in the lanai watching the waves roll in, and the surfers riding them. The apartment is well equipped (no a/c, but plenty of fans). I didn’t use the pool, but my dad did, and said it was great (and heated). Easy covered parking, near town and activities. Great place to stay and I would stay again.

Property is gorgeous! Nicely contained with everything we needed. The cleanses of it was not. Found long black hairs in bathtub not mine which is short and white. Also found large straw drinking in bed between top sheet and comforter . Would you like someone’s straw to be in your bed when it is supposed to be clean.That was the master!, The other bedroom the mattress topper had old blood stains and a yellow stain on right side. We also bleached the dish rack and it’s bottom rack.Was filthy.We left our water shoes for others to enjoy.

The Lanai is amazing, the master bedroom is great and lots of extras supplied. We did struggle without A/C as there were no sea breezes for 4 nights there. Very hard to sleep in second room due to traffic noise, bright light shining in from walkway outside, and a ceiling fan stuck on low setting only

We had a very pleasant stay at this rental condo! It had everything we needed (and even more). The location so close to Kona was convenient. And you cannot beat the oceanfront view! The only challenge for us was the lack of AC, since we were traveling with a small child who is not used to humidity. There are plenty of fans in every room, and the breeze from the ocean helped, but we missed the AC nonetheless. We will be happy to come back again in the future!

Comfortable place with great views. It was very relaxing listening to the waves hitting shoreline with nice breeze off the ocean. I appreciated that there were beach chairs, umbrella, cooler amongst other things to use for use. The place was well stocked for prepping any meals you want to do in house including shared grills that were not too busy at all. Being out of Kona made it quiet and had shuttle that runs back and forth until about 9pm otherwise drive back and forth because it is quite a walk which we did several times. I have no comlaints about this place.

Clean, the price was right, parking easy, good location - easy drive into Kona. Slept with the back doors open to hear the surf. All beds comfortable. Kitchen well stocked to make simple meals. Tide-pooling right outside the condo first thing in the morning whilst the teens slept was fabulous.

We enjoyed our stay and this property was right on the ocean. The unit itself was spacious, clean and had everything that you would need to enjoy your vacation. The kitchen was well stock. Also there were plenty of towels, bedding, beach chairs, umbrella . We had a low battery (beeping) in one of the fire alarm units and the owners came and took care of it right away. The owners answered all my questions and were very easy to work with. It does not have AC, but with the breeze off the ocean we had no issues. We hope to do another trip in the future to this area and hope we are able to stay here again.

This place was everything we wanted and more. In between adventures, we had some remote work commitments, so it was really wonderful to have a beautiful view and the sound of waves whenever we were at "home", so we didn't feel like we were missing out on the beauty of the island while working. Beautiful water, lots of surfers, lots of sunsets, and we even saw a juvenile sea turtle chomping away in the tide pools. Bed was comfy, kitchen was big and clean, and a washer/dryer proved very useful! Don't forget to eat at Da Poke Shack downstairs. Yum!

The keyless entry system worked perfectly, and so much nicer than dealing with keys. Fast, reliable internet. Close to downtown restaurants. So much fun watching the surfers, they came every day from barely light to dark. We didn’t see any whales or dolphins. The property could use a good deep cleaning. Beds and pillows were SUPER comfy. It was nice to have TP, paper towels, Kleenex, and basic soaps supplied. As well as garbage bags and laundry soap. Overall a great place, highly recommend.

Dealing with the owners was super easy and responsive. More importantly, the location and the condo were incredible. The view from this third floor condo was stunning. Yes, we saw a see turtle while having a snack of the patio! That was priceless! The condo is about a ten minute drive to “downtown Kona.” Da Poke restaurant was super good. The pool was a surprise hit with my children and I don’t think I heard a peep from a neighbor. The kitchen was well outfitted and it just felt like home. It was a much better than expected experience.

We (my husband, daughter and son-in-law) spent two weeks at this lovely property, enjoying the amazing view, the surfers, the turtles, and the yellow fish--all from our lanai just steps from the water. The furnishings reflect the Hawaiian style, and the dishes, pots and pans, etc. were great! The owner responded quickly to our questions, and our one concern was quickly remedied.

My wife and I enjoyed Ed and Karens condo as its centrally located within Kona and includes an incredible view of the pacific ocean and its incredible sunsets. We enjoyed the Lanai every morning for breakfast and coffee. The condo comes with all the amenities you will need if you wish to stay in and cook. 10/10 and highly recommend.

We had the most amazing stay. Everything in the condo you could want for a perfect stay. Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the surfers, parasailers and sea turtles. Simply the most beautiful view from your Lanai on the island. We experience Honu and dolphins right off the lanai. The unit is well stocked with everything you would need. We had such great adventures all over the island. However I could sit for days staring at the view. The good local surfers, all surf the Banyons right in front of you. I would love to have our family stay here again. Exactly as described....even better!
