My mother lived in a different unit in Hale Ono Loa for four years. Fifteen years later, I wanted to give her a chance to go back and enjoy a trip to Maui. Thanks to Steve, the trip was a resounding success! The unit has a great view, very clean, up to date appliances and furnishings. He communicated with me frequently coming up to the date of check-in, ensuring that it would go flawlessly despite him not being on location. There were no complications, but had there been, he gave me all the confidence that they would have been fixed quickly and painlessly.

This is a perfect condo for a couple. The view is amazing! The unit was s well stocked and in great condition. Having the bedroom open is a nice design feature. The breezes flow through the unit as advertised. We were very comfortable. The location is convenient to the beach and shops, too. Steve is a conscientious owner and made everything easy. We would definitely stay here again!

407 was a great place to enjoy our 45th anniversary. Loved falling asleep to the sounds of crashing waves and sea breezes.

Great condo and location! The condo has a great cross breeze. The breeze and sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. Steve is a great host. He has assembled a binder with recommendations on things to do and places to eat. He provided the important details we needed about the condo and let us know he was available if we had any questions or issues. We will definitely rent this property again.

Beautifully decorated 1 bedroom/1 bath condo with an excellent view of the water. The host (Steve) was great to work with. He kept us informed and was always responsive. He gave us a list of activities, stores, and eating places that really came in handy.
The condo was updated with granite countertops and tile flooring. The king size bed was just perfect. The place was very clean and equipped with all the essentials in the kitchen (dishes, silverware, pans, etc).
This place did not have AC, but it was not needed whatsoever. With the sliding glass doors and the windows in the bedroom open, the trade winds kept the place very comfortable.
Highly recommend this condo. Would definitely look to stay there again in the future.

This condo is as advertised. It is clean, well stocked and perfect for two people. The complex is well taken care of as well. The sound of the ocean drowns out all other noises and lulled us to sleep each night. Steve was responsive before and during our stay. We watched sunrises, sunsets, turtles and whales from the lanai daily.

We loved our stay at Hale ono loa.#407 The unit was spacious for my husband and I and had beach chairs and snorkel equipment which I used. The large lanai was perfect for our am coffee and pm cocktails watching the sunset. The bed was super comfy too! Thanks Steve for your great communication and a great stay.

Condo was very clean, has an excellent view from the lanai, and everything required for a month long stay. Building is very clean and well maintained. Owner Steve responded immediately to any questions we had. Highly recommend this unit for short or long stays. It’s now our go to place on Maui and we hope to return for an even longer stay in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the condo is beautiful but the lanai with the table and chairs with a full view of the ocean was the highlight. We were able to see turtles from the balcony and we’ve never slept better- the bed is extremely comfortable and with the wind and sound of the waves, it is hard to go home. We would definitely stay here again. Steve, the owner, was amazing in communication and helped us with the few questions we had but always made sure we were happy. 5 stars!!

The condo was in perfect condition and offered a great view of the ocean. The unit is as described. the views are fabulous, everyone at the location is friendly, enough lounge chairs etc not crowded at all Within walking distance to stores. Bed was super comfy kitchen is small but had everything you need. Never sat on the sofa because teh lanai is where you should be. Saw whales !

Steve was such a friendly and attentive host. He checked in periodically to see how we were doing throughout our trip. His condo is appointed with everything you could want for a home away from home. We found the beach items to be very convenient, it was nice to not have to rent chairs or snorkel gear. The water pressure in the shower is good, the bed is comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. The views from the lanai are ridiculously beautiful- it's like waking up in a postcard every day! We even saw turtles daily from the lanai. The location is excellent, just a short drive away from beaches and restaurants. If my husband and I hadn't already purchased our own place in Maui, there's no doubt we'd stay at Steve's condo again!

Great host and great property. Steve was in constant communication from the minute I made the reservation. When I forgot I had the info I needed he just resent it and we kept moving.
Location: it’s not in downtown Lahaina but if you looked at a map you’d know that. There are a few local shops within walking distance. But if you are in Lahaina you have a car anyhow. The VRBO market on Maui is efficient so this is priced accordingly.
You are on the water and it is accessible but its not a “beach”. Again, you have a car, go to a beach. We are ocean freaks and like going in first thing in the morning and before bed so this was perfect.
Kitchen has what is needed to cook but we did not. Standard drip coffee maker.
It is a condo in w building w large age range so i wouldn’t plan on raging in the unit.
Pool and grounds looked lovely but we stuck to the beach.
Cannot say enough good things about the host. If I can make it back to Maui, I will be in this VRBO.

The listing was 100% accurate and Steve was great in communicating with me. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on this trip and the views from the condo did not disappoint. Saw 3 rainbows in one day and watched sea turtles in the ocean. Condo is only a short drive to Old Lahaina on Front Street. The pool on the property was maintained daily and we even enjoyed using the bbqs that were available for grilling. Would 100% book this property again.

First things first. Steve is a great host and he will respond quickly. Condo was clean. Bed is comfy. Balcony has chairs and table. Beach chairs, umbrella, body boards for your use. Everything you need for a beach trip. Lots to do nearby. Lahaina just a few miles south. Easy drive to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Steve is a great host, very attentive and easy to comunicate with and reach. My stay was very enjoyable, it was amazing to wake up and fall asleep to the views and sounds of the ocean. Beach is very nice to swim in and Steve had boogie boards and snorkeling equipment in case one might need it. The rental was very clean and kitchen is very complete. Bed was very comfortable with great soft linens. Location was great, I believe there was a bus that passed right in front but we had a car and it was always easy to park and easy to drive out to places of interest. Quiet neighbor and neighborhood. This location was great and the rental were great! Would definitely come back.

We had so much fun at this condo!! The view was breathtaking and nothing beats hearing the ocean and waking up to it every morning. You can see the beautiful scenery of Maui as well as another island across the ocean! We also enjoyed turtle watching from the balcony! What an amazing place! We can’t wait to come again! Mahalo!

The condo and property are very well maintained, and it is so close to ocean. You can leave screen open and hear waves around the clock. We did not cook or grill, but it has all you need. The sunset view is awesome.

This property was so peaceful! What an excellent view from the lanai! We spent countless hours sitting out there just taking in the beauty of the place. Everything was clean and the size of the unit for perfect for the two of us. A fun surprise was getting to watch the sea turtles every afternoon as they would swim around the rocks just below the unit. This property is away from all the hustle and bustle of Lahaina (which we liked), so a car is necessary for eating out. Mahalo Maui! We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful place to stay! About 15 minutes away from Lahaina. There are a few restaurants close by and beaches in about a 5-10 minute drive. Nothing is close enough to be walkable so driving/rental car is a must. Owner is very responsive and works hard to ensure you have a great stay. There is a rocky shoreline at the condo, you can go snorkeling there and can see many turtles and other marine life.

My husband and I spent 9 days here and absolutely loved it! The views, the sound of the ocean and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. I love that the condo had beach chairs, towels, cooler and snorkeling stuff on hand. The owner was available via text to make sure checking in and out went smoothly! Overall an amazing trip, could have used a couple more days of sunshine haha but #407 did not disappoint! We will be back! :)

The views are great both up and down the coast, and we were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves each night. This condo is perfect for a couple (and maybe a toddler). The condo was extremely well supplied and organised. Kitchen had all the utensils, furniture were practical & comfortable and the bedding felt very clean. Steve provided detailed instructions and directions for everything related to the stay, and he would reply to any question/comments within seconds.

This is the third unit we’ve stayed in here. Great location! Steven was an awesome host, answered all of our questions and everything went really smoothly. The bed is comfy, awesome water pressure in the shower, room and kitchen very clean. The view from lanai is fabulous and sleeping with the patio door open to hear the waves just lulls you to sleep. The grounds are very well kept. We walked to the little “farmers market” (no outdoor stalls due to COVID) for homemade banana bread and fresh fruits and veggies. This is our sixth time on the island and would definitely stay again!

This place was so refreshing. The view is stunning, overlooking the water. My wife and I enjoyed sipping morning coffee as watched the early morning sun hit the island of Lanai and brighten the blue waters of the coastline. Our favorite feature was being able to open the wide sliding doors to the lanai. The place was comfy, clean, and beautifully updated. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves crashing. The breeze flowed nicely through the condo. Steve communicated everything so clearly. He was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo was great! We could have literally stayed there the whole time and still had a perfect vacation! The view was spectacular, loved the layout and decor/vibe of the condo, great pool and sun deck to watch turtles from, good snorkeling in the morning right outside the property with a little nice swimming beach a short walk in front of a neighboring Condominium with other beautiful beaches to hang out at for the day close by, and a couple good little food places and coffee walking distance. We liked that Kaanapali and Lahaina were a short drive away, so we were close but out side of the more congested tourist areas. Steve was also a great host, very helpful and responsive. My husband and I would definitely recommend this condo for a Maui vacation!

Great stay, I was a little concerned about no AC but we slept fine with sliding doors opened fully and both fans on it was no problem. It does get a little warm in the afternoons but the few times we were actually in the condo in the afternoons we opened the front door and got plenty of airflow from the trade winds and it cooled off quickly. The condo was as described, very clean, bed was comfortable, shower was great with plenty of water pressure. Views were better than the pictures and so nice to sleep to sound of ocean and palm trees blowing in the wind. Steve was great in communicating to us when we arrived and we appreciate him letting us stay past check out until late afternoon as our flight did not leave until 8:45 PM, could not ask for a better host. Pool was nice and clean as well as everything on the grounds. It fit our needs and wants perfectly as it was mainly couples/adults staying here. It was very quiet and peaceful and located close to great restaurants, food trucks and shopping. Enjoyed viewing the sea turtles that appeared every afternoon by the sea wall. Easy drive to Lahaina, short drive or even walk to many beaches. We loved our stay and plan on returning next time we make it back to Maui.

The property manager was very helpful and commmunicative which made our check-in and check-out process seamless. The property itself was clean and exactly as pictured. The bed was large and comfortable. No AC was not an issue for us at all - with the combination of the breeze from outside and the fan we were comfortable. Location is definitely one of the highlights of this property!
