Everything feels newly renovated, the mattress is extremely comfortable, AC works great, appliances are new and feel high end. The view is great. I couldn’t be happier with the property. A quick walk south will take you to some sandy beaches and a whole line of resorts with food and drinks. I’ll definitely be back.

We booked this stay last minute and based on the pictures as past reviews it seemed like a great place to stay. When we.opened the blinds we discovered the adjoining buildings could look directly into the residence. We immediately contacted the owner (who was responsive) but unwilling to shorten our stay or provide any refund for unused nights. Ice maker was not working upon arrival. The first night we awoke at 5AM to large machinery outside our door blaring beeping sounds.

Everything was super clean, modern and exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was well-stocked and the location was great. There was a nice view from the Lanai and we enjoyed having our coffee every morning while looking at the ocean. I have stayed at over 20 rental properties and this one was one of the best.

Our stay was great. Condo has everything you will need. Pool & activities all fine & very clean. The property grounds are very well looked. BBQs are the cleanest I've ever seen. The golf putty range was fun. I do recommend though that the cleaners need to use a newer or fresh mop to mop the condo floor a little better. But all in all a great place & would visit again

This condo was perfect for the two of us to start off our honeymoon! Lura responded quickly and let us know our room was ready early, which we really appreciated! We felt like we were on a resort without the crowds. It was Awesome.

We truly loved everything about our time at Lura’s condo and felt like we were in our home away from home. The views are incredible and nothing can beat the location! The condo had everything we needed and more, it was equipped with beach chairs and an umbrella, towels, and the property has so many fun amenities. I even took a lei making class! The staff on site were so friendly and helped us with anything we needed which wasn’t much since we had everything we needed at the condo. We will absolutely be back and could not recommend this condo more! Thank you, Lura and Papakea Staff!

This resort is lovely! Lots of activities, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, plenty of BBQ's, well manicured grounds and gardens and the views...gorgeous! Everything you need is within walking distance including grocery, restaurant, rentals, beaches, etc. J307 is a 3rd floor end unit so lots of light making it feel large and bright.

The corner unit is tastefully updated. Quiet, and with great views we felt very comfortable staying here. The grounds are immaculate and family friendly. We hosted a number of family gatherings there, with the large table and seats, we easily accommodated our party of 7 for meals.
You won't find everything you might need in the kitchen yet, the items were newer and in very good condition, just came up a little short on a few essentials.

Great location and beautiful grounds; however, this unit’s kitchen was infested with bugs. lack of communication from the host to the the property and us lead to frustration during check-in and out.
Check-in was disappointing since the unit was clean and available upon our arrival an hour early but the host would not authorize the front desk to release the keys to us. The 1st morning I immediately noticed an infestation of bugs in the kitchen. Future guests should know that bugs are entering the unit where the tile grout is missing on the righthand side of the sink and around the outlet between the stove and fridge. If this was my unit I would have sent an exterminator that day and refunded the cleaning fee but unfortunately the host only suggested cleaning the counter with alcohol or windex and thanked us for the feedback. Since we were only staying 2 nights and only had one night left we decided we
would just not use the kitchen instead of leaving. We were exhausted from our travels and didn’t want to take away even more from our stay by switching properties. There were no instructions provided for checkout so we had to reach out to the host who didn’t respond until the next day. We wanted to start our travels early that day and then found out that am that we had to wait until the office opened to sign a bill. That is an extremely dated policy considering I signed an authorization approving the charges at the start of the stay.

Condo is well appointed and in a nice resort.
Experienced a hiccup during check in but was handled as well as could be expected by very respectful property owners.
The interior is very nice and comfortable.
The only down side to the unit (which may not be an issue for many) is the location of the AC unit in the living area. The unit doesn’t push cold air into bedroom.
If you open windows in bedroom and living room you can get a nice breeze through the unit but you hear everyone traveling the stairwell outside the bedroom.
Aside from lack of cold air in bedroom, the unit is near perfect.
Again, owners are very professional.

This is the second time we have stayed in this condo at Papakea and we love it!!! The condo is beautiful, very well equipped, and the perfect location!! Lura and Shawn are wonderful hosts and are so responsive when we have a question or concern. We can't wait to return to J307 next year!!

Lovely updated property! Kitchen is fantastic and numerous supplies provided. Very comfortable unit with nice furnishings and many "extras" to make your stay enjoyable. Loved the lanai and viewing the ocean and property grounds. Participated in a few activities at the resort which are included. Great place, would recommend in a heartbeat!

I’ve been to Maui many times and the J07 at Papakea is my new favorite. The unit is exactly as pictured with a great shower and comfortable bed. The resort is beautifully maintained and was such an authentic Hawaiian feeling.

Had a great stay, drove to various beaches but always had the ocean front chairs at the sea wall for sunsets. Papa Ohana cinnamon rolls and pizza were good that was really close and Java Jazz for more reasonable priced dinner and drinks. Room was great and pull out coach worked well for the 3 of us. Easy place to cook in at multiple nights too.

Truely enjoyed our time at this location. Having the chairs, cooler, and beach towels made our stay so easy. Property doesn’t have a beach but a quick 5 minutes either direction gets you there. Just 10 Minutes north will take you to a perfect wave jumping beach. Husband enjoyed the shower!!

This condo was perfect for our honeymoon getaway to Maui. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. On top of the condo being clean, fully stocked and the resort staff being fantastic, the grounds were also immaculate and well kept. We also really appreciated the beach supplies it came with including beach chairs, a cooler, umbrella, etc. and putters for the putting greens. Our favourite thing was the location of the condo. It was about an hour walk up the beach boardwalk to the Whaler’s village where we enjoyed many morning coffees and some shopping and dining. In the other direction were great boogie boarding and snorkeling bays/beaches that were only about a 10 minute drive away. There were great restaurants within walking distance to the condo as well - including Duke’s beach house restaurant and Maui Brewing Co. The condo provided us with everything we needed to cook as many meals as we wanted and we used the BBQ’s by the pool quite a bit. It was less than a five minute walk to Times Supermarket to grab our groceries. Lura was quick to respond the one time I messaged her as well. Overall a great experience and would recommend this condo to anyone!

First of all the view from the balcony is spectacular. Watched the sun sets from the beach every evening. Snorkeling from the beach was the best…a turtle came right up to my fiancé and swam with him. The condo is perfect for the 2 of us and so well maintained. My only thought is although super convenient to everything a bit loud at times but quiet if the doors are shut. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

We had a delightful stay in this well maintained, fully stocked condo. Everything we could possibly need was provided. There were a couple of items that were not functioning properly, but Lura was great at making sure they will be made right for the next guest. We loved Papakea…so much in walking distance. Papi’s cinnamon rolls were not to be missed. The food trucks a very short walk with delicious offerings. We spent our days floating in the warm pool and hanging out on our lanai. It was a great, badly neede vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. I could probably go on and on about how perfect it was, but I’ll stick to a few paragraphs. 😊
The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, which was really important for us - we ate breakfast every morning at the condo, and packed lunch to take with us, and 80% of the time, we returned to make and eat dinner there as well. The kitchen had *everything* we needed and everything was new and updated.
The setting was amazing. It was SO quiet at night - we heard absolutely ZERO ambient noise from neighbors or cars. This was so surprising because it seemed like a busy time for visitors! We all slept like rocks. The view from the balcony was perfection. We really loved the grounds and enjoyed the pools, the chairs at the sea wall, and the frogs, fish and snails at the pond! Truly a relaxing, beautiful place to spend our evenings.
Lastly, it was just a pleasure to stay in such a well thought out, clean, equipped place. Having access to laundry in the unit was a lifesaver,

Stayed here for 5/10 nights we were in Maui and wished we had stayed here the full 10. The property is exactly as described with a ton of amenities. Stayed at the condo for 4 nights and so glad I chose this spot over a hotel. I have kids so having a kitchen and a separate bedroom was great. The location is great being able to walk right out to the beach and with low tide you can find some sea life right on the reef. The kids loved the pool and it was never too crowded. Another huge plus was the condo was stocked with beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler so you don’t have to buy or rent beach gear while you visit. Would definitely stay again.

This condo was absolutely the best. Freshly remodeled with high quality finishes. Everything you could need was at your fingertips. The condo was the perfect layout and expertly designed. We had two adults and two tall teenagers who found it extremely comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Eating breakfast on the balcony every morning while watching the waves roll in was one of our best memories of vacation. We really liked how this was and end unit and you had views of both the ocean and mountains. The property is stunning and well maintained. I cannot say enough about how the owners considered and anticipated all your needs during the stay. All the appliances were top notch even down to the blender. They even provided new storage containers for food and chip clips. My daughter used the bamboo, thick and soft foldout mattress on top of the pullout chair and was so comfortable. My over 6 ft. Son slept on the queen pullout couch and was thrilled to have a large bed for himself. The bathroom was a dream with exceptional water pressure in the gorgeous shower. Location is perfect with walking distance to grocery, restaurants and food truck park. This place is a gem!

We loved this condo! King bed and bedroom, was very comfortable. Extra thick twin size foam mattress that can be unfolded and put in living room for additional sleeping. Exceptional view! The landscaping with the ocean is absolutely stunning! Kitchen is fully stocked. We used the community BBQ's too, they were great and right down by the pool and ocean!. Easy walking to coffee, ABC store, eateries including Slappy Cakes which is great you can make your own pancakes with a griddle in the table! Condo was very clean. Would have liked additional towels. New frig with ice maker, holds a lot! We added kitchen scissors to the inventory :o) Unit was very quiet and away from elevator. AC in living room, but didn't reach the bedroom. There is a ceiling fan, but we found it very hot. Suggest bringing a small travel fan with you. Lots of drawers in living room, under master bed and dresser for storing things! Large closet with lots of hangers! We highly recommend and hope to stay here again! Thank you!

We were extremely impressed by the beautiful design, decor, and cleanliness of this entire unit. It was gorgeous!
We were part of a 5-couple group and one of the couples stayed in an adjacent 3rd floor corner unit so we could chat with them from our respective balconies. We had a view of the beautifully kept grounds and the ocean in the distance.
Our hostess, Lura, was terrific. She was accessible and very open to my suggestion to include a few minor items in the kitchen.
I look forward to our next visit and will certainly book this unit again. We truly enjoyed our stay. Lura, thanks so much!

Well maintained and decorated unit with a beautiful view from the deck!! The unit is at the end of the building and rather close to the next building , therefore; limiting privacy from the deck. One issue was a needed water filter and non working ice maker. Sometimes simple changing the filter solves the issue, but there was non on hand. We were informed that a technician would come but no one did. Overall my husband and I would stay there again!

This place was great! It is located near a grocery store and coffee shop (so close that we walked every time). The view from the balcony is amazing. The photos are as accurate as can be! The only tiny hiccup was that the shower was dripping. This is more of an issue for the owner but an easy fix. It definitely didn't impact our stay!
You could walk down to a little beach area, which happens to be the place where I got asked to marry my best friend. This condo will hold a special place in my heart forever and I absolutely plan on coming back and staying here!

The condo was just as pictured. The front desk area was nice & the staff were attentive. We enjoyed the amenities of the condo of boogie boards & beach chairs. We found that we spent little time in the condo as we were out exploring all we could. We did have a ceiling fan & light issue in the main room. Facilities was quick to come take a look. I’m not sure what the problem ended up being, but we were given a standing fan. The room got a bit hot & dark but the two side table lamps we made due with.
We made great memories in Maui and enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in June for 10 days, and had a absolutely perfect visit. The property is quiet, beautifully maintained, and conveniently located to beaches, restaurants, shopping and island attractions. The unit is lovely (beyond my expectations), with a beautiful ocean view from balcony, and includes fully stocked kitchen with all necessary cooking utensils. Look forward to a return visit in the future and would definitely book the same unit/location. The hostess Lura was very responsive and extremely accommodating when we needed to push out our reservation twice because of COVID travel restrictions. Would highly recommend this unit/property to anyone planning a trip to Maui.
