Second time here and couldn't have been better. Excellent communication from Karl and check in was quick and simple. The remodeled condo has everything that you need for a perfect stay and the location could not have been better for us. A short drive to Makena and many other beautiful beaches. Or pop right across the street to Kamole 2. The building grounds/pools and parking are kept in excellent condition and restaurants etc are a short walk. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

The owners are great to work with, responsive, flexible and very friendly. They want you to have a wonderful time! Park and beach across the street and within minutes great sea turtle viewing sites, 20 of them one morning all playing in the surf. Easy access to great restaurant options and affordability. We had a great stay at Kihei Akahi. Perfectly located and outfitted for everything we needed for our stay. Loved the view walking the 2 minutes down to the beach. Karl responded immediately when we had a question and went above and beyond to answer it!

Everything about the property is great! Very well stocked Everything you'll need from beach chairs to coffee. To be honest we were amazed at how Everything we could think of was already there. But the best thing of all was the owner! Perfect communication on everything. Our flight got changed and it was gonna be late at night. I messaged him if he could give us a bit later check out. He managed to work out for us to stay till our flight left at 11pm! You'll never get that at a hotel. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

We had an amazing trip to Maui and a big part of that was our stay in this condo! It felt amazing waking up each morning in an extremely comfortable bed, then having coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed if we had decided to cook, but we spent most of our time out exploring the island instead. We loved having in unit laundry to keep things fresh as well as access to beach chairs, umbrellas, mats and a cooler so we were ready for our adventures! We explored a lot of beautiful beaches all over Maui but it was also nice to have a beautiful beach with good snorkeling just a short walk from the unit! Air flow through the property was amazing so even with temps in the upper 80s things remained comfortable. It was nice having the air conditioner available if needed but we only ended up using it a couple times while getting ready to go out. We loved returning in the evening after a full day of activities to what truly felt like a home away from home! What really put this property at the top of the list was our host Karl! He kept us well informed of what to expect as far as arrival and check in and was super responsive to any questions we had during our stay! We are already looking for our next opportunity to return to Maui and really hope it works out to have this as our home away from home again! Thank you Karl for being an amazing host and sharing this beautiful property with us!

Right across the street from the beach, this condo has everything you’d need and more —chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels, etc. the kitchen has everything we needed to cook and pack lunches for adventures. Kari was helpful and responsive. An excellent VRBO experience!

The unit was a perfect size for my wife and I and the unit came with everything we need for a home away from home. Karl was always available to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a great stay, condo comes as advertised, fully equipped for dining in or full beach gear to hang out, the 2 pools were cleaned every morning, easy walks to restaurants, bars and such, 3 minute walk to the beach, Karl the owner very easy to work with.

I rented this property for my aunt and mother for a week long Hawaii vacation. It was amazing to be across the street from both a park and beach while still being close enough to walk to excellent restaurants and local stores. Karl made sure that we had everything we needed to make our beach outings pleasurable (chairs, umbrellas, spare hats, and beach towels). The apartment felt like coming home each day. It was absolutely a pleasure to stay there and I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a no worries stay in Kihei.

Karl and Emile's condo worked perfectly for our stay in Maui. It was close to everything but was still quiet and peaceful at night. We could even hear the surf at night. The roosters started crowing at 4 a.m. but that would have happened in any location. The condo worked well for the two of us - not huge but had everything we needed. The bathroom is a bit small but functional. The only complaint we had was the "smart" tv which we found very difficult to use - very slow to change channels and we just wanted to catch a little local news and weather and the Olympics but we could not figure out how to do that - but you don't really go to Maui to watch television. Karl was very easy to work with and great at communicating. Overall, we would recommend the place to anyone staying in the Kihei area.

This unit worked well for us. The balcony was perfect for breakfast, morning coffee and evening sunsets. Kitchen was great with everything we needed.
Unit is back off the main road which is nice and quiet. Easy walking distance to beaches, and many stores and restaurants. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed staying in the condo for 10 days. The condo had all we needed in it including beach umbrellas, beach towels, sunscreen, beach chairs. The location is great too, close to restaurants and the beach. Karl was very responsive for anything we reached out to him. Walking into this condo we felt the care, love, and dedication that owners, Karl and Emile, have put into this place. It's a favorite place that we want to return again and again in the future. Very clean, well decorated, quiet with beautiful views of mountain and ocean from the lanai. Plenty of supplies to last for the whole 2 weeks of our stay (thanks!). And there're some more: post cards, wine, chocolate, candles....Kihei Akahi is a classic Hawaiian beauty with a lot of trees and lovely garden. We're also very happy with the location: right across from Kamaole II which is the best of the 3 Kamaole beaches. It's also right next to Fred Mexican restaurant and a short distance away from other restaurants and shops. We had stayed in many condos before, but this one is our choice for our future returns. Thanks Karl and Emile for making our stay in Hawaii more meaningful with your hospitality and friendship. Until next time!

Everything about my stay here was perfect. The condo was extremely clean. There were thoughtful touches everywhere. It felt like a hotel. Karl was an excellent host who was really easy to communicate with. The location was amazing - we could walk across the street to Kamaole Beach II and also get to many eateries quickly. Having beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers, and tote bags available for use was also a huge plus! I would recommend this place to al my friends.

We always stay at the Kihei Akahi when visiting Maui. Great location and well maintained property. We enjoyed this particular unit. The owner had great communication and there were extra touches not always seen… coffee, chocolate, custom greeting cards…. And the place was spotless. I would highly recommend staying here.

The condo was absolutely beautiful and furnished with everything you could possibly need to enjoy a perfect vacation. (Right down to the sunscreen and beach accessories) We could easily walk to restaurants and shopping and right across the street to beautiful beaches. When I had a problem with the tv Karl offered to come help me (user error). Karl and Emile were perfect hosts offering us suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I’ve already contacted family that plan to visit to let them know this is the place to go! Thanks so much Karl and Emile for sharing your beautiful condo with us. You were the perfect hosts!
