This area around Wailea and Kihei is called "South Maui" and is the sunniest spot on Maui. It is located 45 minutes south of Lahaina. Fortunately, this area was unaffected by any wildfire activity.
Maui welcomes visitors and by coming to the island you can play a crucial part in helping to keep Maui's local businesses, families and economy thriving during this crucial time of rebuilding.
Mana Kai 608: Mana Kai sits on the most ideal location on Maui on the most ideal beach "Keawakapu". This spot has direct access to both Wailea and Kihei, and 5 minutes to beautiful Makena and Makena Landing. Enjoy an easy 15 minute ride from airport which is nice after a long flight. South Maui is located 45 minutes from "West Maui" or the areas of Kaanapali and Lahaina and a similar distance to "Upcountry" or Kula and the areas up and around the volcano Haleakala. Easy access to the rest of Maui, that's if you ever leave! Many don't once they experience this special place and special beach.
808 General Store is open at Mana Kai! This wonderful, locally owned family business sells sandwiches and salads, groceries, adult and kid beverages, reef safe sunscreen, beach toys and other items you may have left off your packing list.
Why Mana Kai? After an extensive search on Maui, it was crystal clear (like the water on this beach) that Mana Kai would be our choice. We absolutely love this 2 bed/2 bath oceanfront location situated in an ideal beachfront spot directly on the ocean and smack dab on the border of highly sought after Wailea and South Kihei.

Mana Kai 608 is situated RIGHT ON, like directly on an incredible beach and walkable to the Wailea shops and dozens of restaurants throughout Wailea and Kihei. Wailea Tennis Club and lots of golf are nearby as well. This spot is perfect for families with kids of all ages too, less hassle, more beach/pool time and fun right out your door. We provide 4 beach chairs, 3 umbrellas, 2 coolers, metal hydroflasks, outdoor wine tumblers, beach towels, kids beach toys/balls and other beach goodies in the condo for your convenience! We have referrals for private boat charters, private snorkel and scuba sessions and surf instructors too!
After staying in many of the nearby resorts and condos, we chose Mana Kai because it sits on a stunning and level sandy beach, many convenient on site “resort-like” amenities, mellow vibe and sunny south Maui location. A truly rare find, Mana Kai sits directly oceanfront on one of the most clear and beautiful, swimmable beaches on Maui. Simply put, Mana Kai 608 is situated with better views, bigger lanais and even closer to the water than you get at the "oceanfront" or "ocean view" hotel rooms and you walk right out to the beach at Mana Kai or watch the sunset from your own oceanfront lanai.
The beach: Keawakapu Beach is a highly sought after beach for visitors to Maui due to its incredible clarity and world class snorkeling, sand bottom and gentle enough waves for all ages and water sports. Enjoy the view of the water in front of you instead of sitting behind endless rows of umbrellas and chairs often times at the resort beaches. Mana Kai shares the pristine Keawakapu beach with a row of multimillion dollar private oceanfront homes resulting in a more tranquil setting for all to enjoy. Staying at Mana Kai 608 you can enjoy all the incredible beauty that Maui has to offer, right beneath your feet.
Turn Key Service offering: We have privately contracted with Tracy O'Reilly and her team to manage our condo. Tracy's team will provide incredible service to our guests. They are a small Maui team with a proven track record.
Getting there: Mana Kai an easy 15 minute drive from the airport. Mana Kai is on the most southern part of Kihei, bordering Wailea, so you can drop down from Piilani Highway on Kilohana street to get to and from Mana Kai versus driving through the South Kihei road traffic.
The Space: OK, back to the condo itself! During your stay in Mana Kai 608, you will be cooled by ocean breezes and commanding sunset and ocean views. It features a private balcony with the sound of the waves in your ocean view bedroom. It also includes 3 ceiling fans and 2 new A/C units to keep you comfortable and cool while in Maui. This 2BR/2BA condo has a full kitchen and 2 private full bathrooms for enhanced privacy. Both bedrooms have new beds plus a queen-sized sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress in the living room. The Master bedroom faces the ocean and the sliding shoji screens allow you to customize your privacy needs while not obstructing the ocean views! Guests will drift off to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves lay comfortably on plush mattresses and cooling memory foam pillows. Ahhh.. sleep is calling.
Mana Kai 608 has a private large lanai with amazing ocean views. The building is directly on the beach and includes a heated, oceanfront, saltwater pool which is a rarity in Maui. There is also a beautiful grassy area with lounge chairs and a shower to rinse off before heading back into condo. This 6th floor condo is located on one of the highest floors directly in the center of the building with coveted views.
Spend relaxing days soaking up the Maui sunshine as well as action packed days at the beach as you swim, lounge, boogie board, surf, fish, paddle board, scuba dive, kayak, yoga, walk/run along the beach, whale watch, boat, and/or snorkel.

The restaurant space is being renovated with plans to open in 2025. But not to worry, no shortage of nearby restaurants! Mana Kai is situated within a 2-minute uber ride, drive, bike or even walk to dozens of restaurants right there in Kihei and Wailea. Food delivery services such as Hopper Maui, DoorDash, Uber Eats and Instacart deliver to Mana Kai 608. Make sure to put condo 608 on your order and a note to drop off at front door of 608 condo. Owner tip: Order fish tacos from Coconuts (from Kamaole location) on one of the delivery apps listed above for a fast and easy beach or poolside lunch! Have it delivered to condo and just buzz upstairs to pick it up from condo front door and back down to beach. Coconuts is known for their amazing fish tacos! Please do not have anything delivered to front desk, Mana Kai 608 is privately owned and operated.
Mana Kai 608 is located on the 2nd to highest building level, not in a condo situated immediately over restaurant. We have discounted the rates during these months regardless, for the inconvenience of our guests not being able to access the restaurant or potential renovation noise. It's a great time to take advantage of the reduced rates!

This unit, condo location, views, and beach can’t be beat. The owners and property manager have done an outstanding job with the entire place and made it so easy to just simply enjoy everything Maui has to offer. From beach equipment, coolers, to the Hawaiian coffee it couldn’t have been better. We snorkeled with turtles right at the resort and saw whales breach from the lanai. Stunning sunsets and a great location overall. Can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I just completed our stay on Maui and had one of our best vacations ever. It was our first time staying at the Mana Kai and it exceeded all of our expectations. The location was outstanding making it very easy to navigate around Maui. But the real star was the condo itself. It lacked nothing with what we needed. The kitchen was extremely well supplied the bathrooms were clean, neat and also very well supplied. The installed wall fans in both bathrooms were a great addition. The furnishing throughout the unit were very comfortable and made it feel very cozy.
Bottom line this unit 608 was a superior place to stay and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

We enjoyed so many things in Julie’s condo at Mana Kai! The communication from Julie and then after we arrived on the island, Tracy was detailed and accurate. Easy check-in, was allowed an early check in because it was available. So appreciated! The décor, the well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs, etc. were amazing. Very comfy beds too! We spent most of our time on the beach and lanai. Saw turtles by the rocks. Wow! Thank you for the wonderful views and a beautiful place to lay our heads and tired bodies at night! Mahalo !!!

We really enjoyed this condo. We were a family of 4 and had plenty of space. The condo was stocked well. Everything was super clean, up to date and modern. The beds were very comfortable. This was a great vacation spot in Maui. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. The condo has a great view of the beach and is close to restaurants, grocery store and shops. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and coolers were provided which saved us from renting. Instructions were provided on how to work everything and smaller things like extra paper towels, toilet paper, etc. were provided which saved us from buying a bunch of stuff. Restaurant and general store were closed when we were there, but there was a shop to rent snorkeling gear, paddleboards, etc. on site. Overall a great rental.

We stayed a few days in the unit with our two older kids and had a great time. The unit is well appointed with everything we needed and the view is second to none! We would definitely stay there again. Communication from Tracy and the info provided in the unit was outstanding. No complaints. Unfortunately the restaurant and general store were out of commission while we were there but we knew that beforehand. I imagine the experience would be even better once the building is back at 100%. I guess we'll have to return and find out! Thanks for the great stay.

We are packing up to leave Maui and this beautiful property, #608 as I write this review. We had an amazing vacation and everything was exactly as represented and more! The owners and on-island concierge (Tracy) went above and beyond to make our booking and stay memorable. The condo is beautifully appointed with a classy beach vibe. The AC worked great and we enjoyed turning it off at night to listen to the sounds of the ocean. Spectacular! The beds, showers and furnishings are all high quality and in line with what you expect from a higher end resort, except you have the entire condo, with kitchen to yourself. We didn’t cook but enjoyed having the full size refrigerator to hold our goodies. The location is A+ being near all the great luxury resorts for fine dining and equally convenient to the highly awarded food trucks and local fish shops. The condo has everything including: beach chairs, umbrella, and beach bags. We liked the close proximity to the laundry and trash/recycle bc we tidy and clean often. We enjoyed this property so much, we are already talking about rebooking for next year. What a gem! 😍

I have stayed in other units at this property and know I love the location, but this unit is by far my favorite. The view! From the master bed all you see is the tops of palm trees and the ocean, oh and the sunset!!!! Clean and comfortable.
This unit is so well stocked- everything you need to have a fabulouse stay. From the kitchen, to the beach accessories, to pods for the washing machine, all has been thought of and provided. Hats off to whomever manages this unit, great job and thank you!

I have stayed in the Mana Kai condo building before (because it’s the best) but this was by far my favorite stay yet. I had great communication with the owner from the moment I booked and she always responded quickly with any question I had about my trip. Before arriving, I started receiving communication with the property manager Tracy who is local to Maui and Tracy helped with arrival and departure details as well as checking in to see that everything was going well during the trip.
The unit itself was beautifully decorated and I loved the wicker sofa on the end of the lanai as it made for a wonderful spot to gaze out into the ocean. You will certainly sleep like a baby listening to the crashing waves as you leave the lanai door open at night and yes, you can do that because the unit is equipped with ceiling fans in all rooms so I never got hot. The owners have done a wonderful job ensuring that everything you need is available right in the condo and this was the first time I didn’t need to to run out to the store during my stay for something like toilet paper or laundry detergent.
All of these things made for just the perfect vacation and I cannot thank Julie and Tracy enough for such a good experience. I can’t wait to stay here again. Mahalo!

I can’t say enough great things about this stay. First, the property manager, Tracy was amazing. Her contact before the stay was so helpful. She answered every email or text question that we had immediately. When we checked in the VRBO site was down so I couldn’t access the entry instructions. I texted Tracy and she called me within seconds so we got right in to the unit with no delay. She also suggested great places to eat and provided other helpful information throughout out stay. She was truly incredible. Secondly, the property itself was one of the best VRBOs I have stayed at. The unit was beautifully furnished and stocked with high end items. The beds were SO comfy and everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect with excellent beach and gorgeous view and we really enjoyed the grassy area to lounge in the day. I would give more stars if I could. Mahalo!
