This condo is true to the photos (much appreciated)--immaculate, well appointed, choice location with fabulous views, nice amenities. The owner is a pleasure to work with, communicated clearly with kindness and accommodation. There were many things that enriched our stay, beginning with the welcome fruits/coffee/cookies, the beach equipment (chairs/cooler/umbrella/etc) and snorkeling gear, clear instructions how to use and care for condo equipment and appliances, nice linens and towels. This owner takes pride and care of their property and we truly appreciated the experience. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home.

We have stayed 3 times at Kanaloa and this is by far the nicest we have stayed in. It has a fully equipped kitchen, marvellous views, comfortable beds and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated.
The owner was in touch with us to make sure there were no problems. Would definitely recommend this condo.

Beautiful condo. The owners have thought of every convenience. Kitchen is as well stocked as we’ve ever seen. The view is gorgeous. We are golfers so really enjoyed watching people tee off right in front of us. We spent so much time out on the beautiful lanai that we wished for a second chaise lounge. Otherwise, pretty perfect!

The property exceeded our expectations! The view is exactly as pictured. The unit is more spacious than depicted in the photos. The unit was extremely clean, and the furnishings were very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen included everything you would need if you chose not to dine out. One of our top requirements was A/C throughout the rental, and Condo 1502 delivered cool nights along with stable Wi-Fi. The property was quiet. We loved the ocean side pool! We would definitely choose this property should we visit Kahaluu-Keauhou again!

From the minute we walked in, we could tell we made a great choice. We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and this one rates at the top! The listing and description of amenities and the pictures are spot on, cleanliness was superb. Thanks too for the Kona coffee. Sipping coffee and eating our breakfast papayas on the lanai was a great way to start off our morning as well as watching the sunset in the evening- so peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed the Ocean pool - lots of lounges and relaxing to hear the waves crash against the shore. The only thing I wished was that there was a music system or CD player in the living room. Would be nice to listen to music as we fix meals- but not a deal breaker. This complex is very quiet and well maintained. Thank you Mindy and Don for opening your home to us. We would love to return some day soon.

I wanted to reach out and say 'thank you' for the great stay (our second at Kanaloa) we had at your place last month! As always, your condo shines above the rest! We have very much grown to appreciate and enjoy what a great place you have. The weather was amazing during our stay, and we've enjoyed becoming comfortable with the area and all it has to offer that end of town (we even walked over to the Keauhou beach, which we'd never done before because the pools on property are go great)!
We are already starting to look at next year, and hope to be able to return again soon!

This is the second time we have stayed in the condo in the past two years. Not only is the location perfect, the condo is spectacular. We felt truly comfortable in the condo, had lots of space for 3 of us, and an amazing view of the golf course and ocean. The sunsets were amazing.

The unit was one of the best ones in the resort (we have stayed in 3 other units and at the resort many different times). It was clean, decorated "Hawaiian Style" (but more comfortable furniture), the unit has been updated and everything was in great condition, everything we needed was available. The kitchen was well equipped, with supplies, pots and pans, and many cooking essentials. Also there was a lot of outdoor equipment, including masks, fins, and chairs. We are getting lazy and did not use these items. Sitting on the Lanai and watching the ocean and golf course was just the right activity for us! When we arrived, there was a basket of fresh fruit, some juices and water. I love avocados, and I can truly say that I have never seen one as big as the one that was left for us. It really was about the size of a small football! Also the owners could not have been more gracious working with us throughout the pandemic mess. This trip was booked over 2 years ago, and they moved the dates for us twice. We will definitely try to rebook 1502 in the future. Aloha, Craig and Sue

Wonderful condo and price value but no mention of facility removal of curbs with lots of construction noise in the mornings. I was disappointed that this was not mentioned when booking the condo.

This was a great stay in an ideal location close to everything in Kailua-Kona. Best snorkeling was 4 mins away and 8 mins to another beach. Plenty of pools and bbq pits to use around the complex. The unit was clean and large and had everything we needed, including the lanai for breakfast and to watch the sunsets.
The reason for 4 stars was because of an additional fee that was charged. I messaged through the app the day of the reservation and did not get a response till I sent an email a couple weeks later. The policies say maximum occupancy is 6 people. Nowhere on their website or VRBO does it mention that any more than 4 people will there be an extra charge. Still today, no mention of a fee. Standard practice is to disclose all fees. So for an infant and a toddler, I was charged the same as if two grown adults stayed.
Other than that, everything’s was great and I would stay here again.

The stay was great, directions for things were clear, accessible, and easily found. The hosts were responsive but we hardly needed to bother them during our stay. Everything just went so smoothly. The bed is comfortable, everything felt clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, the view is great, and the condo is tastefully decorated. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A beautifully appointed 2BR condo with a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset, and overlooking the golf course green. Has EVERYTHING you need to feel pampered and also very much at home. I loved cooking here! Super easy to book. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because of noise from the upstairs condo during our stay, some related to construction.

We've rented places all over the world, and Mindy's condo was BY FAR the nicest we've ever stayed in! We loved seeing all her artwork in the unit. The renovations/upgrades to the place are tasteful, well done, and they made us feel right at home. The bed was super comfortable, the double headed shower was amazing, and the kitchen has absolutely everything any chef would ever want!
The check-in and check-out process easy, and the people working at the property were all super friendly. It didn't rain much while we were there, but having the reserved covered parking was a very nice amenity as it seemed crowded during our stay.
We spent many nights just sitting on the lanai with a cool drink in hand watching the sunset. We ate out a few times, but with how nice the kitchen is, and how close the KTA is to get groceries, right here was the place we wanted to be!
The grounds and pools at Kanaloa are awesome, especially the Ocean Pool! Everything is very well kept and very presentable. You will have an amazing stay here too!

We vacationed on Kona from Oct. 11-19. Condo was wonderful and we can't say enough about it. It was very clean and had everything that you needed. The view from the lanai was the perfect place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee to see the sunrise and to sit in the evening to see the sunset. The owners were very easy to work with and was always available to answer any questions that we had. They allowed us to have a late check out as our flight did not leave until 10pm.
We have been back to 4 days and it is still all we talk about. Would and have recommended it to all our friends. I actually have a friend that I am giving all the information to as she is planning a trip. We will definitely come back to Kona and stay in this condo. Aloha

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The condo had everything we needed, including beach chairs and a cooler. The view from the lanai was breath taking especially at sunset. We enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai everyday. The condo was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. There was more than enough room for our family of four. We enjoyed the pool and recreation area as well. The only disappointment was that the ocean view pool was closed the week we were there.

My husband and two children (aged 13 and 11) recently stayed at Kanaloa at Kona in unit 1502 and had a wonderful time. The condo is very nicely furnished and stocked with everything that you need and the views of the golf course and ocean are stunning. The sunset view from the lanais is probably one of the best on the entire island! That we had beach chairs, a cooler, and beach gear to use was such a nice added bonus - we felt at home. The location is perfect - close to everything. I would recommend this unit to anyone and we are already planning when we might be able to return.

The condo was clean and very nicely laid out. We enjoyed the peaceful view and quite that this corner condo had to offer for us and our two girls.
The coolers, boogie boards and snorkel gear were an extra treat that we enjoyed.

We had a great time at this condo. It was spacious enough and worked well for our family stay. It is centrally located to everything and we loved it for it's lanai providing a great view! We also loved the new decor! It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved to go up to our favorite restaurants very close by within the shopping center, up the hill from the resort. We drove to the most historical spots within hours of the day and back and it was just a few minutes drive for our favorite beaches from the condo.
At the end of the evening, it was heavenly to soak in the hot tub, a few steps from the unit within the resort, and to dip in the warm pool. We loved to dine on a teak furniture and to
watch the spectacular waves of water on the rocks. The 12th hole of the golf course at the sunset hours was also memorializing! The air conditioning kept us very cool. All in all, we couldn't wait to go back!

Our family of four had a great stay at this condo. We loved the location. The view of the ocean and the golf course was perfect for watching the sunset. The ocean pool on the property was a fantastic feature. All the amenities were exceptional. A welcome basket on the counter as we entered, beach chairs, towels, and snorkel gear were greatly appreciated. There were three downfalls in my opinion: no air conditioning (which the welcome binder said they were working on adding to the condo), the noise in the morning (there were loud trucks driving early in the morning and not having air conditioning, having all the windows open was the only option), and the cleaning fee. A cleaning fee of $165 and it is asked that towels are added to the washer and the trash is taken out. Now, I understand not wanting ants or other bugs in the condo, but for $165 everything should be included and not having the guests expected to do the cleaning. I would have definitely cleaned the condo for $165 myself as we did not leave the condo dirty at all as we did not spend much time there. We loved how spacious the condo was. We would definitely consider staying the same complex, but not sure if we would necessarily choose this condo again if there was not air conditioning.

The owners are new so apparently have not had time to make needed changes. The condo is serviceable, but is very dated. Nearly every surface should be replaced to achieve a more sanitary situation (e.g., tile with lots of grout everywhere). The carpet has a large patch and shows a traffic pattern. The kitchen cabinets are low quality and show wear. There are two pocket doors in the master bath. The one that separates the bath from the bedroom takes significant effort to move and makes noise in that process. The showerheads should be replaced. The condo is located just across a narrow road from a primary staging area for the maintenance workers and the master bedroom is the closest room to that staging area. So the noise starts early in the morning.
On the positive side, the unit is well located in the development and has nice views of the ocean and the 12th hole of the adjoining golf course.
We were told by an owner of another unit that nearly all of the units have been updated, so at least at present there are better choices.

Our family recently stayed here for 4 nights in the New Year. We absolutely loved the condo. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The unit is up to date, clean and well equipped. It has a nice, large lanai, view of the ocean and golf course, and is on the 1st floor. The condo was more spacious than we expected, and is in a great location! Looking at the map, we thought we'd be far from the pools on the property, but the condo development was a bit smaller than we expected, and each pool is conveniently located within just a short walk from the unit. We also really loved the 'resort' feel of the property, yet the comfort of having a full sized unit for our family to stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, as well as the furniture in the main room. Communicating with the owners and nearby contact was very easy. They were very quick to reply, and graciously granted us a late check out when our flight was pushed a few hours. We would definitely stay in this condo again!
