One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The location is unmatched. Beautiful sunsets and steps from the beach. I loved waking up and drinking coffee steps from the ocean. Great place for a couple.

We had an absolutely lovely stay, and Mike went above and beyond to give us great recommendations and make us feel welcome. We mostly used it as a home base for adventuring (very convenient!), but kind of wish we would have taken more advantage of the beautiful property - can’t beat the outdoor area going right out to the beach. Recommend, and hope to return.

Everything was great here! The biggest draw was being right on the beach in Kihei so we could walk on the beach and swim right there. We had everything we needed for our week stay. Mike went above and beyond to recommend restaurants and a gym. Would definitely return!

This place was perfect for us. Michael the owner was great he was super friendly and welcoming. We felt like it was a home away from home. We would highly recommend you stay here. There are five apartments so they can accommodate 2 - 16 people. You will love it. The beach is right outside the back door and there is so much to see in the area.

We can’t say enough great things about this stay. We almost don’t want to write a review so we don’t have trouble booking in the future, but we can’t help but share this gem with others. Honestly the photos don’t do the property justice. If you want a quiet private retreat with your own semi-private beach, this is the place for you. We wanted to spend all of our time outside. They have great lounge chairs, yard games, a beautiful beach that is great for walks, yoga, seeing turtles, and more. Such a breath of fresh air compared to a condo in more populated parts of town. Absolutely felt like a retreat. Also, we would be remiss if we didn’t say something about our host Michael. He was a delight, so informative, friendly, and welcoming to his property. It was wonderful to meet him and learn about the land. We absolutely will be back as soon as we can. Mahalo!

My wife and I stayed in this house for five nights celebrating our 10 year anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Michael lived up to his five-star reputation in every way, providing recommendations for local restaurants and activities, and overall making us feel welcome. The location is excellent with many restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the privacy that everyone has talked about in previous reviews. I would definitely recommend Michael's place to anyone planning a visit to Maui.

The one-bedroom apartment is small but nice - everything you need in a kitchen/bedroom/bathroom for 1-2 people. The furniture is comfortable and the fittings are lovely. The listing under-sells the property, though.
First, there is a beautiful, green backyard filled with birds. The apartment has a lanai with table/chairs, there is an additional table chairs on the lawn, + 4 comfortable loungers, a rocking chair, a volleyball net, and a clothes line. The view from the backyard is stunning. I ended up not doing as much as I had planned because I loved just watching the ocean so much. The beach is literally at the end of the lawn, good for swimming and paddle boarding. Nice walks on the beach, with turtles sunning themselves just a few minutes walk. Lots of flowers especially in front of the unit. The air just smelled amazingly of flowers and ocean.
The units have a laundry room and ice maker, which is also handy.
The location of the apartment is ideal. You are in the middle of everything, making it a short drive to good beaches, Ma'alea Bay, nice restaurants, Target, the airport, the road to Hana, the road to Haleakala, etc. There are 3 good bakeries within a 10 minutes' drive, for example.
Mike was great at communication, provided good recommendations and clear directions, and was nice to talk to. When I had a question, he answered within minutes.
I would 100% stay here again in the future. In addition, I'm talking with friends about renting out all the units for a group vacation.
Book this place. You won't regret it.

What's not to like? The place opens up to a large gorgeous green yard that ends at the beach. I think it's a public beach but it's basically your own private beach in the backyard.
A huge unexpected plus was the amount of fun gear that came with the rental: snorkeling, fishing poles and tackle, floating alligators for the ocean, kid pool, volleyball net, endless toys for kids. Michael even offered a pack n play for our baby.
Speaking of, Michael was an awesome host. The place was spotless when we arrived. He greeted us, gave a ton of great local recommendations and then respected our privacy.
Everything was good. This place is a great value and perfect for small or large groups. They have multiple adjoining units so you could recruit a big group of friends or family and still all have your own space.
Thanks Michael!! We'll be back.

Amazing location right on the beach. Views from second floor were incredible. Clean and comfortable unit. Small mix up with check in, but Michael responded very quickly even though it was past 10pm and took care of everything, even upgraded us to the larger next door unit. He is a great host and provided lots of helpful local info. Would definitely stay here again.

Mike was a great and helpful host. We stayed in the one bedroom unit on the ground floor. We walked out the door onto his private yard, which ends at the beach. This property is a real gem.
The location made it easy to get to grocery, restaurants, outfitters, etc. Even though it’s only a couple blocks off of the main drag, you will not hear any traffic or city noises. Totally quiet in the unit, and on the beach.
We will definitely come back and stay here again.

We have never been so delighted and impressed with a rental home before as we were with Mike’s gorgeous property! We were originally meant to stay in one of the 2nd floor apartments, but Mike upgraded us to the downstairs apartment for free as no one was staying in it the week we were there. The apartment was supremely clean and well stocked. We had full access to the BBQ outside and all the beach equipment, and speaking of the beach---it’s right there! A palm tree-filled backyard leads right into a sandy beach teaming with green sea turtles. We saw them every day (late February). They were curious and would come swimming up to us if we floated quietly. From the backyard, we were also able to watch the whales. Mike was a perfect host—friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We’re already planning our trip back, but this time with the rest of our family because we loved it so much.

Best location. 50 yards of manicured lawn to the beach. Perfect sunsets. Mike our host was the nicest person on the island. Extremely helpful with suggestions from food to best snorkeling beaches. My wife and i were here for a week, but would have stayed longer. Very comfortable piece of paradise. There are 3 other units and a cottage for rent on this property. This would be the perfect place for a large group as you could rent the entire property.

My husband and I came without the kids for our ten year anniversary, although I'm already mentally planning when we can bring the kids back here due to the huge lawn right outside, the direct access to the beach where a turtle sometimes hangs out in the evenings, and lots of kid friendly stuff available. Mike is fantastic and made sure all of our needs were taken care of, including upgrading us to the main level rental when we arrived and offering many recommendations for food and activities! The space was very clean and comfortable, and everything was provided (coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, etc.). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, and we had our own bbq! There is a grocery store just a five minute walk away, and Halama is a great road for walking /running and leads right to a beautiful beach park. We don't want to leave, but we will definitely be back!

We stayed in the 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment on the lower floor of this multi-unit structure. We had access to the back yard and small porch through a sliding glass door. It's only about 250 ft. to the almost private beach since the public access is down the road a bit. The apartment had all the amenities necessary. We stayed in for quite a few meals thanks to the well-equipped kitchen. There were only two drawbacks: a large family was staying next door and they spent a lot of time outside in front of our side of the yard, so we had to close the drapes and it encroached on our own outside time. The parking was a bit of a pain, too. These things would not be enough for us to prevent staying at this property again in the future. It was a great price for being right on the beach in beautiful Kihei.

We had a wonderful time in Kihei! First time in Maui with our 8 month old baby girl. We would definitely recommand this place. We were upgraded just before arrival to unit #2. Nice, clean, quiet and well equipped. And 30 seconds walk to the beach were we could watch for whales and turtles. Amazing! Michael was also very helpful.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay on Maui! Everything in this unit was impeccably clean and updated. We were very comfortable during our stay and had everything we needed. Mike was an excellent host. He upgraded us to the ground floor unit, which allowed us to walk right onto the beach. Being so close to the beach was awesome! We could hear the waves from the bedroom and we watched the sunset every night without having to leave the property. We would gladly stay here again.

Mike is a fabulous host, and the 1 bedroom beach front apartment was everything promised. It was quiet and peaceful. We could sit on the back porch and watch and listen to the surf, or walk across the grass to walk on the sand. Snorkeling out front was nice - albeit, a bit of a swim out (300-400 feet). We even saw a manta ray on our first swim! I highly recommend this unit!

Our first trip to Maui and this is a place we would recommend to friends and family. The unit has a lovely, long garden leading down to the beach. It was very well equipped and Mike is a great host.
