We stayed here in December 2023 for 8 days. We liked that there were 2 bedrooms (one master and one very small one) and the location (near the beach and upper pool). The kitchen could have used a strainer and a kettle-it was pretty thin on supplies. The disappointing part was that the dishwasher was supposed to be replaced before arriving but it wasn't, and we had to handwash all dishes. It wasn't usable and had a terrible smell. Also, the clothes dryer needs to be fixed or replaced as it literally took hours to dry anything. Both the dishwasher and dryer were mentioned in previous reviews. replacing/fixing these 2 appliances would definitely improve the stay and the review.

The grounds of the complex, the pools, and the location are wonderful. This unit was well stocked but could definitely use some maintenance and updates. The dishwasher didn’t work during our stay, but they were going to replace that after we left. The dryer needs to be pulled away from the wall so the closet door can’t close in order for it to work or else it takes 4 or more cycles to dry a load. The AC in the principal bedroom wasn’t cooling well, they had it serviced while we were there because it was dripping on the bed in the night. It stopped dripping but was still not cooling well. There were also bugs in the kitchen which was quite unpleasant. We wouldn’t stay in this unit again. We tried to bring these issues to light while we were there and the rental company was helpful, but it was unfortunate to have a holiday with so many maintenance issues and not having amenities that we expected when booking.

Overall this unit was a great place for my family to stay during our time on Maui. The location was great, right across the street from beautiful beaches. The pools were nice for us to spend time in. The unit could have been a bit more clean. We cooked almost daily and had to wash our dishes and cooking utensils prior to using because the obviously weren’t cleaned well. We spotted a handful of roaches in the kitchen and living room area. We brought this to the attention of management who had a pest control technician come out to treat those areas. I appreciate the action taken but wish that could’ve been addressed prior to our stay. We didn’t let that ruin our time in Hawaii and overall the place was great for 3 adults and 2 kids.

The condo was clean and a perfect fit for our family. This was our 5th trip to Maui and we always stay in Kihei. It is a perfect base for exploring the island. Just make sure to check and read the pool rules for this property. They are very strict which makes for a nice relaxing environment for adults at the pool but if you are traveling with young children (like we were) your options for play at the pool are limited. We would stay here again

We stay in this complex everytime we visit Maui and it is my seventh or eighth time here. This unit was not my favorite. The location was amazing near the pool but the unit needs some updating. The air conditioning units barely worked so we were hot alot! The check in was not the easiest. And it was just overall kind of run down. For the price, it wasn't the value I was expecting.

It was a wonderful property that was convenient to the beach and numerous restaurants and shops in the area. It was an easy drive from the airport and to the other excursions we went on while staying there. They had beach things stocked for us which was awesome! Utensils and glassware had food residue from not being properly cleaned. A few broken furniture items. Carpeted dining area bad for keeping clean, especially with small kids.

We had a good time staying in this condo for 7days (3 people total). The space is spacious and clean. The unit comes with a parking spot and this was very helpful. I recommend bringing extra soap/shampoo as these were not restocked. Overall we had a good time staying here.

We were very happy with this property. Our condo was exactly as advertised. Had almost all the amenities you need for the kitchen, only thing missing was a pizza cutter. Lots of stuff to use at the beach as well including chairs, towels, umbrella and beach mat. Access to the upper pool was just a few steps away. Would stay here again!

We have stayed in this unit 4 times. We like the location, very private, quiet and close to pool and bbqs. Beach equipment chairs/umbrellas need replacement but good beach towels. Good sized unit and clean but the shag carpet really needs to be replaced or professionally cleaned. We had five in our group for part of the stay and there were not enough plates and bowls for our group. The sofa couch is pretty comfortable though...

We had an excellent stay at this property - the location was perfect for us with our young children. Ground floor, close to parking and only a few steps to the upper pool. Our kids had a blast! The condo was stocked with all of the essentials as well.

The condo basically was ok. Nice terrace with a beautiful view definitely was the highlight. One nice bedroom, the second bedroom is more a closet - small, no window, no real door, quite open to the living room and kitchen. Third bed is the sofa in the living room - we knew that when booking.
BUT: from the first to the last day there were lots of cockroaches in the kitchen. We complained, on day 4 they have send a exterminator who said that he can not do much as long as people are living in the condo. He was gone after less than five minutes and spraying something. No impact, they still appeard every day.
This situation was quite a burden for our holidays, especially the kids. We basically avoided staying in the condo as much as possible, were out all day and only came back to sleep - but not with good feelings, we always feared to find them also in other areas than the kitchen, which happend once in a while.
To be transparent: we received a discount of 10 percent, but given the impact on our holidays we think this is much to small. More discout was denied, pointing at the contract which has a paragraph on bugs - but the situation was much worse than this description made us aware of.
Sorry, no recommendation to book this condo.

This was our second stay at this condo. It is very well taken take of. Clean, has everything you need and very easy to work with owners. The pool area and BBQs are very near and was never crowded. The location is great and can go right across the street for sunset viewing. Love it here, we will stay here again.

The property was as described and stocked very well with needed items. We had a great stay. Pool rules at the complex are unusually strict. Pretty much the only thing that was not banned is swimming and book reading. We respected this and still had a great time but probably broke a couple of rules in the process. We understand that the permanent residents have probably imposed the rules due to lack of respect from past visitors and we respect that. Just not for any group that doesn't control themselves well. Condo had a good floor plan with plenty of space - we had extended family and friends on this trip and had two condos between all of us. And this condo was the one everyone enjoyed hanging out at especially for dinners :) Sleeping arrangements were great - no complaints on anything. Even had roof repair going on above but the workmen were really nice & respectable and no one was bothered by any loud noises. We would rent this condo again if we had a big group of us going again :)

Great condo. Description is accurate. There are beach towels, chairs, and pool noodles.
There is an outdated styrofoam cooler we used but it would be nice, environmentally speaking, to get rid of the styrofoam and update the cooler.
Having a washer and dryer was awesome! There is a hair dryer in the master bathroom. There is a toaster and a blender in the kitchen, most utensils you would need. A pair of scissors would have been good to have in the condo.
Only thing you have to know is that there is a rental above and we listened to a kid run back and forth anytime he was in there. 6:00 AM he started and 9:00ish PM he was done. Thankfully they were not there long but you definitely hear walking if the person walked heavily as did the new visitors.

Had a wonderful time in Maui. Accommodations were comfortable and the 2nd room was perfect for our 7 year old. You can hear upstairs guests. Sounded like a tumbling troupe practicing at 6 am. Location is great. Took a molokini snorkeling tour from right across the street at the Kihei boat ramp. Very close to restaurants and shops in Kihei town.

The condo was at the furthest point from the beach in the resort which I hadn’t realized until we got there but it still had a nice view of the ocean. The condo was very clean. It had 6 beach towels for us to use, an umbrella, cooler, beach chairs, and a boogie board. It was a great stay.

So it was my 2 friends(married couple) and I. They had the master bed, I took the little room. I would say it is the perfect size for up to 4 people. Was very clean, equipped with all the beach necessities.. About a 5 minute downhill walk to the swimming beach.
The down part was the pool hours. 9am-9pm. On Vacation in a VRBO in Maui with friends, the last thing you want to be told is you got to go cause it's 9pm. Other than that, the place was great.

Very clean beautiful apartment. The second bedroom was misrepresented. Not having a closet or space to open our suitcases might have been OK for a couple of kids but not for adults. The shade in the master bedroom was broken. It was very well appointed. We really enjoined the proximity of the pool and all the beautiful landscaping of the area.

Generally a great place to stay with a family. Walking distance to kid friendly beach, pools were close. No sun on the patio was both good and bad. Only irritating thing was the staff giving us a hard time for the small pool floaty that our 3 year old was wearing.... No one else in the pool, common sense should prevail.

This was a great unit, and the ground floor with the garden was lovely to sit in.
The view is a little less than shown just due to the growth of a very lovely hibiscus, but the beach is just down the road, so this wasn’t a concern.
There is a ton of stuff for use - chairs, towels, pool noodles etc - although this does mean there is very little actual space in the closets for guest clothing.
Being on the ground floor, we unfortunately had very noisy upstairs neighbours and the noise complaint lodged to the office was either ignored or not actioned.

People above our rental house upstairs were so loud ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT.. at 3 AM we heard VERY LOUD stomping/jumping multiple times that woke everyone up including my baby during the night. When I called to ask them to respect silent hours, the person I spoke with was SO RUDE, disrespectful and unhelpful to our family. Very disappointing as we really enjoyed the rental home itself.

The condo complex is wonderful and convenient. Very beautiful landscaping. Our condo was nice and close to the pool. The beds were comfy and the double sink in the master was awesome. But, the kitchen was not clean. Cabinet fronts were gross. The refrigerator front was dirty. The carpet leading to the kitchen was dirty and frayed. Carpet fibers were scattered on the kitchen floor. The master bedroom carnet was stained. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen needs a good scrubbing.

This is a convenient property, with a relative short distance to the beach. It is on a hill, so if you have mobility issues, it is probably not for you. Restautants and bars are 1 to 2 mile away.
There is ongoing construction in the adjacent lot, so be prepared to hear hammering starting at around 7:45 am. It didn't bother us to much as we were up early and gone by 9 am.
The other issue we had is with the apartment/guests upstairs...on both weekends we heard running and banging as late as midnight and as early as 5:00 am (they were catching an early flight?) so out of our 9 nights stay, we heard this on 4 nights. Not ideal, but to us not a deal breaker, either. We brought ear plugs so that helped some.
It is fairly roomy condo, and to me, perfect for a family of 4, maybe with small children, as the 2nd bedroom is small.

This is the second unit we've stayed in Maui Kamaole. We love the complex atmosphere with accommodating units and lush landscaping. This unit allowed for easy pool access and a straight drive down to the beach. Only unfortunate aspect is the new construction which blocked the view of the northwest hills of the island. Aloha

We really enjoyed staying in at the Maui Kamaole #L-105. The condo was beautiful and very convenient to the best of Kiehi. The unit was a ground floor (so we did have a few more bugs to deal with than when we were a floor up, but it was expected and not a bit deal. We were close to the upper pool and spent lots of time there each day, even closing out the evening with a swim before bed time. The back patio felt like our own little oasis even though it was by the street and the evening sunset was to die for! The a/c in the unit was fabulous and the place cooled down quickly.My only complaints were that some of the things in the apartment needed attention. For instance the footstools for the chairs kept falling off so you had to be very careful how you set your feet; some of the kitchen utensils were in poor condition (e.g. the can opener didn't work, knives weren't sharp, the scissors needed to be retired); the showerhead in one of the bathrooms only partially worked. And, the dryer takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to dry an standard load. However, I called and talked to the management and they were great. They sent over a repairman the next day and dropped off a new can opener. I was very impressed with the quick response. The other thing was the beach chairs were pretty yucky so we went to Costco and bought our own and just brought them home with us. None of the complaints took away from our visit and they would not stop me from booking this unit again. We have stayed at several condos in Maui and this is our favorite by far. We will definitely be back and will try and book this unit again.

They said there would be some noise from the construction. It was horrible! You couldn’t even sit outside or inside for that matter. So noisy from 7:30 am-4:00pm. They should not rent out these properties till the construction is done. Very disappointed we couldn’t enjoy our lanai. Emailed the rental company and they didn’t even respond. Had to spray down the table and chairs and patio everyday. False advertising on that.
