Everything was perfect for our 7 day stay . The views are amazing. The condo has everything you need for a perfect stay . Perfectly located in Ali’i drive close to restaurants convenient stores….. will definitely come back for future trips to the big island :)

This was a nice rental. Location is ideal. It has air-conditioning in two rooms which is nice. We did have a few issues for maintenance which were dealt with by the maintenance company quite quickly. Only drawback to this place are: the morning light in the master bedroom is very bright, and there’s no curtains or ability to make the room dark in the mornings. The bed needs to have a replaced mattress and or frame or both. No condiments or other items for cooking so it’s less convenient then other places. Only salt and pepper. Pool closes at 9. Thank you

We cannot fault out unit or stay. The Unit was exactly as described and was very large for a single bedroom apartment. Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom all fresh and modern. The view from the balcony, and sunsets from the Pool deck, Just next level. The gardens, and complex were meticulously maintained. So peaceful, and made for a very enjoyable stay in Kona, Hi.

We love this complex. This condo was very nicely decorated and very clean. Small issue with the toilet was resolved within hours. Great communication with the rental company. Condo was nicely furnished we had everything we needed to make our meals. This area is very quiet. Highly recommend!

This property was perfect for my stay on the island. It was clean and had everything we could have needed. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the views are stunning (even better than the photos), and the pool and spa were great! It is a very quiet complex, so it made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Many gather down by the rocks to watch the sunset together! It’s a nice 20 minute walk into town and a short 5-10 minute walk to a nearby farmers market, coffee shop, and small market. The property management was wonderful to work with and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again!

everything was perfect. the location is excellent. the apartment was so tidy and had everything we needed. property maintenance was all over always cleaning or fixing something. very well cared for grounds. we also slept very comfortably even with the four hour a/c timer

We stayed here for several nights and enjoyed every aspect of our stay.
The unit was nicely furnished, well stocked with supplies, towels, bedding toiletries etc. It would have been nice to have some squeeze bottle condiments in the refrigerator just so we would not have to buy that. Otherwise, everything Was perfect. We enjoyed the pool, the views and it’s convenient location to everything around Kona. We will definitely stay here again

This condo fit our needs perfectly. We loved spending time on the lanai and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. My only negative comment is that there were no bar stools and we could not sit inside to eat. The straps on 2 of the chairs on the lanai were broken which was surprising considering the excellent condition of the condo and the fact that there was no place else to sit and eat.

Staying at the Kona Makai was fantastic. The complex is well looked after and the manager was great. Unit 6-204 was really nice. It looked recently renovated and had most everything we needed. The view from the lanai was beautiful. Town is only a 20 minute walk from the complex so we rarely drove into town.

we booked this for our daughters wedding trip. It was our first time using We had a great experience. I loved the security as well as how clean and neet it was kept. The property management was very nice and accommodating. If i had to suggest an improvement it would be that the Toilet paper ,soap were available to you if you run out. we bought our own. over all we would definitely stay there again.

We have rented other units at Kona Makai and they are all similar. It is a nice location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The grounds are well kept and quiet. This unit was clean and had good appliances. The view is decent because it is on the second level. We saw whales and dolphins daily. Things that could be improved are the bed and internet. The internet is basically non functional. Everybody is trying to use it and it is on an unlocked network. It is not slow it just won't let you connect. The bed is the worst we have ever slept on. Think of sleeping on the box springs only and you get an idea how bad it was. We put our camping mattresses on top to try to get some sleep. We are used to camping but were expecting a little better. The last few nights we slept on bed that folds out of the couch. It was 100 times better. Most other units have a good selection of stuff for going to the beach. This one had minimal stuff and in the rules you couldn't leave anything you purchased like boogie boards or beach matts. Plan on buying most of this stuff if you stay here.

Pro's: Very nice, clean, modern, impressive upgrades, especially the bathroom and kitchen. Used the big cooler everyday. Love the lanai, great place for breakfast, wine, relaxing, whale watching. There was a mama whale with her baby that swam near this area. Great place to snorkel if the ocean is calm. There was even a wagon on the property to use to load and unload your vehicle. It's a good walking distance to shops and restaurants and morning walks. Unit 6-204 was very comfortable and inviting. Con's: No Safe to put away your valuables. Also, it would've been nice to have 2 stools at the kitchen counter.
