Absolutely loved this well appointed & comfortable home for a 5-day pre-Christmas stay with our 4 adult kids. It’s location on 2nd hole of the Maki GC was lovely, but we were pleasantly surprised that we were just steps away from the Hanalei Bay Resort, which included several restaurants. Also loved that a bit further on we had access to the gorgeous beach & bar at the fabulous One Resort.

The house was in excellent condition, clean and comfortable (great mattresses!!!). Plenty of room for 8+, huge, well stocked and organized kitchen. Views of both ocean and golf.
We had a great time, and plan to come back!

House was great for our family. 6 adults and 3 teenagers. Plenty of room and allowed us to get to numerous beaches and hikes and beaches with turtles to be seen snorkeling. Shells were found and store was close by

We loved this house and had a wonderful time! There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. Bikes, snorkel gear, umbrellas, chairs, sand toys…etc. The kitchen was stocked with everything. BBQ outside, beach towels, books…I mean you name it and they had it. Oh and the beds were so comfortable. We had no problems walking down to the beach…nobody ever stopped us. Super close to Happy Talk (bar/restaurant), so after dinner we would walk over for a drink. I think this house was by far our favorite VRBO we have ever stayed in with our family. You really can’t beat the location.

We were in Kauai for my daughter's destination wedding, and this home served as a great home base for some family meals, with others in our party staying at some smaller units in Princeville. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and cutlery to serve a larger group, and nice big counters. Comfortable seating and the upper balcony (off the master) is a wonderful shaded spot to enjoy the breezes. There are 3 self-contained bed/bath areas for couples, although the one beside the kitchen area is not as private (slatted doors). The area is beautiful, and we enjoyed being able to use the bikes for exploring. There's a neighbourhood 'quiet time' from 9pm to 8am (although the golf maintenance and the roosters don't follow those rules!) so best to bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Really a lovely home, and a lovely area - never felt unsafe.

Highly, highly recommend. Beautiful house, very clean, bedrooms were all very spacious, and the views (both front and back) were wonderful. Mini-split AC units in all bedrooms. Extremely well equipped, not just in the kitchen but beach items too (snorkel gear, chairs, towels, sand toys for kids... you name it, they had it). We were two families with young children and had plenty of room for everyone, including setting up pack-and-plays for the younger kids. Had one house-related issue during our stay (stray golf ball broke a small window slat), quick response from management and it was addressed promptly with no inconvenience. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Well kept home in a very nice location. Very enjoyable house with everything you need. Home was very roomy and comfortable and inviting. Kitchen full of new appliances and utensils. Everything in great condition. Bedrooms very spacious and perfect. Especially liked the use of 4 bikes in the garage and beach chairs.

We had a great time at the house. Ample room for three couples. Our only issue was it was very warm and humid while there and the one bedroom downstairs did not have an air conditioner so it was uncomfortable sleeping in that room. We bought a fan, but ended up moving to the twin bedroom upstairs to sleep. Also, there really is no access to a beach within easy walking distance. The resort Nextdoor does not allow you to use their path.
Overall it was a nice house.

This was such a great house! It was well stocked in every way-lots of kitchen tools and dishes, plenty of towels and pillows. We especially loved all the beach gear—chairs, sun shade and snorkel equipment. The house is beautiful with gorgeous views from every side. We were there with our family of eight and one infant and there was plenty of room. There isn’t A/C in the main area and one bedroom. There are fans which helped but the main living area was a little warm (we were there in August). We would absolutely return!

Beautiful home in every way, golfers will love watching players on the 2nd hole right across from the property. Only negative was beach access shortcut was denied by the resort next door - would have made getting to the beach much easier.

Beautiful home with beautiful views!! Very very spacious with a lot of beds. Check in and check out process is very easy. Plenty of driveway for cars. Unfortunately the washer/dryer had a out of service sign on it. It was inconvenient since we packed with a working set of machines in mind. But we understand things can happen at any time. The remote control for the downstairs did not have batteries, but host offered to send someone to check on TV/Control which was nice. Other than that we had a fully equipped home. We would definitely recommend and we will come back to this beautiful location.
Keep in mind although the beach is walking distance, it is very slippery and steep towards the end before getting to hideaway Beach. We learned the hard way with me being pregnant and my toddler pretty much sliding down the path. But it is a breathtaking beach.

We brought our family to Kauai for the first time. This home will not disappoint. There were a few things not working but the owner went above and beyond to make it right! House was very clean and had everything you need for cooking meals. I highly recommend. We hope to return someday!

The house was beautiful and just as advertised. There were some maintenance Issues that didn’t get resolved while we were there but we were able to make do without. The owner was very communicative and helpful. The neighboring hotel has a great bar to sit at but the nearby beach is a trek up and down steep hill.

Great home in Princeville for a family vacation! The house is beautiful as advertised and provided plenty of space for our family of 6. The location on the north shore is convenient to many attractions and we enjoyed everything about our stay.
One note is the clothes dryer could use repair or replacement. It had a difficult time handling any towels which is a necessity for a Kauai vacation.

We stayed here with my family (including two kids) and our 4 parents (70s). The house was very spacious and relaxing. There was plenty of room at the dining table and in the living room for all of us to comfortably hang out together and everyone had their own areas to relax. The kitchen was AMAZING. Our parents were able to stay downstairs so they didn’t have to deal with stairs the whole time there (rare in large houses). My mother in law said this house was her favorite part of the whole trip! We were upstairs, which was absolutely gorgeous. The upstairs lanai was great. My daughter was a bit uncomfortable with the doorless shower in the doorless bathroom (the toilet room has a door). The door to the kid’s room was broken and didn’t easily close. I’d totally stay here again, though. 5 stars!

We had an incredible time at this property for our stay on Kauai. There was a group of 6 of us and plenty of space to all get ready for the day / night at the same time. We loved the north shore and were so glad to be staying up there. Walking distance to the beach and to Queens bath. One thing to mention is that we got stopped taking the path through the nearby resort to get down to the beach and it was a MUCH further walk to get back via the public access. All in all the home was beautiful. A great base for everything we wanted to do. The views were incredible and woke up to a rainbow almost every morning.

We’ve been to the island several times but have never stayed in Princeville.
There were 9 of us in the party, 6 adults and three kids, and there was no shortage of space or gear. Both of the master bedrooms were beautiful. The owners did a great job with having lots of supplies and keeping the property clean. They were quick to respond with any questions or concerns that came up during our stay, but also gave us privacy.
The area offers some beautiful views and great snorkeling. A couple of times we got out for snorkeling first thing in the morning at the nearby Hideaway beach. We could either use the Hanalei Bay Resort walkway or take a longer walk around so we could enjoy the neighborhood views.
We made use of the several bicycles they have at the property. Princeville has a bike path along the golf course with plenty of rainbow Eucalyptus trees along the path. We stumbled on Queen’s Bath on one of our neighborhood excursions, which is a 15-20 min walk or 7-min bike from the house. If you have a chance to check out this spot, you should do it. Bring the swim clothes but probably leave the kids for this one. Our 7-yr old was OK but we’re glad we didn’t bring our 3-yr old twins.
The view from the twin bedroom is not exaggerated. That’s what you wake up to every morning in that room. The upstairs deck has the same view on one side and golf course/ocean on the other. The star gazing on clear nights was incredible.
Our only difficulty was that the main highway is closed and re-opened periodically every day for construction due to landslide damage. The closure starts close to the Princeville town entrance, which could sometimes cause heavy traffic. We had to plan our farther trips accordingly, especially to the north side (but soo worth it :).
Overall, it was another wonderful trip out to Kauai! Mahalo!

We travel all over the world and usually book through VRBO. This property definitely is at the top of our list. Spotless! Great space (bedrooms and living/dining/outdoor) for 6+ people (we had 6 in our group and were very comfortable. Update on listing - 3 of 4 bedrooms have air conditioning. A previous reviewer stated that the only downside was a lack of air conditioning. Still none in main living space, but windows and fans make it comfortable for use when warmer. Bedrooms were nice and cool at night.

The house was extraordinarily lovely! Everything was clean and beautiful! When we booked this house, pre-covid, we had planned on having 6 adults + 1 teenager. We ended up only having 3 adults. There was more than enough space. There's a cute little apartment in back that feels like it's own space. One thing you should consider is the master is up some tight, winding stairs. Luckily, we're strong enough to carry our luggage up & down. Also, the little bedroom with the 2 twin beds is up there as well. If 4 adults stayed up there together, it would be quite tight. We used that room for our luggage. The master bedroom with its own outside veranda is lovely. We enjoyed watching the golfers with our coffee each morning. There's a keurig & coffee cups up there so you can brew your own morning joe. We had to pick up extra k cups from the market. Also, there no central AC. There are AC units in each bedroom so it's not so bad if you plan ahead and run them a few hours before bed. The kitchen is pretty but everything is TALL.. I'm only 5' so it felt like giants lived there. The counters, cabinets & even the chairs seemed taller than normal which is nice for you tall folks. It was mid covid plus the Hanalei bridge washed out so it wasn't nearly as fun as it would've been in normal times but we were there for a wedding so the house made it fun for us with all its creator comforts and assorted beach tours in the garage. We'd love to return in a few years when life over there gets better. Covid in May 2020 was more strict then Michigan Covid in March 2020 - Mandatory masks worn outside which ended while we were there. Not many restaurants open but the few that were needed 1-2 week advance reservations. Lots of traffic, lots of mandatory testing and a lot of very nervous locals.
It's sad but the house made up for it!
