The room was beautiful, great view, amazing kitchen but for that price we were expecting nicer/updated beds and nice sheets. The sheets were scratchy.
The staff was rude. As soon as they found out we booked through VRBO they no longer speak to us and told us to go outside and find someone standing in a shack. My son accidently left the shower door cracked and some water leaked out. We went to the front desk asking for a couple of towels and told them what happened. They said we had to call the property manager if we wanted towels. Anything we asked them during the week they dismissed us.

We loved the three bedroom full kitchen amenities that included a washer and dryer and several bathrooms. The views from the rooms were spectacular. We will come back for sure!

This unit was well suited for our group of 6 adults and one child of 4yrs. We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms which were well appointed and anything we needed was addressed right away by the property management company. The unit showing its age but I still highly recommend.

Great view, rooms, resort, and location. Changed locks mid rental and sent us the wrong code. AC in the living room wouldn't run in the afternoon. Other than that it was great.

Loved room 629. We traveled with a 78 year old, my sons in their 20’s and my husband and me. Condo was fabulous. Great view and comfortable beds. Spent our time on the balcony. The chairs could use some updating as the armrests are coming apart. We are on the big table and played cards.
Kitchen was great. Measuring cups, whisk and a small bowl for dip would have been helpful.
Lots of beach chairs and a cooler in the closet.
We would definitely stay here again. Loved the unit and Dukes to go menu is fantastic.

We had a family of 7 adults here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Condo was comfortable with everything we needed. The view from the condo was great and we enjoyed the porch and spent a lot of time with the lanai doors open.
Having Duke's next to the pool was convenient. It's also an easy walk down to the food truck park nearby.

The rental property is showing signs of aging/wear, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen area. Guest Bathroom tile is very dirty. Cabinet doors in kitchen area are very loose. The lounge chair on the lanai is coming apart and should be replaced.

The view and location was ideal, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfy and the communication with Maui Resort Rentals was great. The home was in need of a bit of updating or TLC in a few places but it didn't detract from our trip.

Perfect for a family (we had 7 adults stay here). Great location, fantastic and responsive owner, had everything we needed including beach chairs saving a trip to WalMart. Definitely consider staying here again.

Well furnished but took clothes forever to dry. Very small washer and dryer. The kitchen was well furnished as was the living area. The patio was completely inaccessible because of painting. Not owners fault but we could not use it at all. Great tv and bedding was comfortable

The condo was beautiful and very well equipped. Loved sitting on the patio at sunrise and sunset. Whale watching was fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised with the resort area. The pools and beach were beautiful and appreciated having chairs available in the condo. The restaurant had good food with a great view and very conveniently located. We would absolutely stay here again

We have stayed at Honua Kai over 1/2 a dozen times. This property by far was on the lowest end of luxury by far & we paid the very most for it. It’s in desperate need of an update. The couch & pillows were dirty and need to be replaced. The dishwasher was literally falling out of the cupboard & not attached. The buttons on dishwasher were broken. In order to turn it on, you had to shove a toothpick or bobby-pin into broken slot.
Since the property is not “managed” by the hotel itself, we could not receive the amenities needed. We had to call the property management directly & wait for toilet paper and daily toiletries. It was really inconvenient.
I will never book through VRBO again for a unit at the Honua Kai.

The resort is nice with nice amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai for morning coffee and in the evening. Walking on the beach, Snorkeling a little down the beach, playing in the pools, and enjoying a beverage during the sunset.

Stunning condo facing West to enjoy every sunset.
It was the Hawaiian New Year, so enjoyed the Full Moon setting in front of us to the West, as the Sun was rising behind us to the East. Amazing.
Beautiful condo, beds, baths, resort, pools, amenities, cafe, restaurant (Duke's Korean ribs), beaches, reefs. Exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay at Honua Kai. Our condo was beautiful with a great view of the ocean from the lanai. Well stocked kitchen, beach chairs and umbrellas to use as well. The grandchildren loved the 3 pools! Could use some plastic ware for the little ones. We purchased some plastic glasses and left them there.
