Beautiful accommodations! Amazing view! The sunset is incredible! Highly recommend

Coastal Dreams was exceptional. The property was really nice and the location overlooking the golf course and ocean were perfect. We didn’t realize how nice the Beach Club access was but that was a great value in itself... What a bonus! Our family spent a lot of time just relaxing at the property and at the Beach Club. Taking in the sunsets was one of our favorites as well, and the home is also in close proximity to some of the best beaches on the island. Mahalo, we could not have asked for a better vacation.

Condo is in an amazing quiet location with a fabulous view of the water. The hosts are fantastic, the kitchen is amply stocked, and toys/leisure extras are perfect. We spent every morning on the patio in the comfy chairs listening to the ocean and drinking coffee. The community is conveniently located close to shops and beaches. We typically always like to try new places when we travel, but have settled that as a family, the Coastal Dreams Villa is perfect for us. We will return and stay HERE. Just fantastic.

We stayed in this unit for two weeks this March 2023 and while we agree that the location and views are amazing, they can't overcome the other problems with this unit (as mentioned in previous reviews), specifically the "hole" in the middle of the living room leading out to the lanai. We arrived in late afternoon, with plenty of sunshine, and while walking to the lanai to take in the view, my husband didn’t slip, trip or stumble, he simply stepped into space. Fortunately he didn’t hit his head on the hard stone tile or hit the sliding glass door, as that could have catastrophic. His injuries were not insignificant. I immediately called the management company, Paradise in Hawaii (PIH) for advice and they gave me directions to Waimea (a 1/2 hour drive away) to pick up bandages and medical supplies. I called PIH again the next day and they did send over their maintenance man to put blue painters tape on the floor to give some indication that the steps were there. He also moved the large coffee table away from the stairs so there was enough room to walk past. Apparently PIH has known about this situation but neither they nor the owner of the unit chose to do anything about it. The entire unit is on one level except for the unexpected hole in the floor. I contacted PIH three additional times during our stay (and included photos of the injuries, which I also sent to our doctor for instructions on to how to properly treat the wounds) and I have yet to hear from them about either moving to another unit to avoid the "hole" or how they planned to remedy it. We’ve spent the past 2 weeks bandaging my husband's cuts and bruises, and because of them, he has been unable to fully enjoy Hawaii and the beach on our vacation. We’re in the hospitality business ourselves and are acutely aware of the need to stay on top of potential problems and identify them before they become liabilities. Sadly, both the owner and management company have put their guests at risk and I highly recommend neither renting this unit nor any other from this uncommunicative and negligent company.

This is a prime location with a beautiful view of the signature hole of the Mauna Lani golf course. The kitchen is small, as shown in the photos. When we arrived we put our groceries in the refrigerator, only to notice later that it wasn't working. We then noticed a second refrigerator in the dining area. I see now a review from December that mentions the broken refrigerator. It would have been nice to know up front. More information on a few things in the listing: The bikes available are for one adult and one child. Judging by their condition, they had not been ridden or maintained in a while (also mentioned in a recent previous review). The shower curtain in the third bath is held up by a spring loaded temporary rod that fell down when the wall got wet. It knocked my daughter in the head more than once. Finally, the "Private Beach Club (access included)" does not include access to the fitness center at the Private Beach Club unless you are on their list. We texted the property managers, who were responsive on other issues but not on this one. Overall, a great experience with some minor maintenance issues.

Location, location, location. We could see and hear the waves. We saw a whale our first day. First the spout and then a full breach. Sunsets were sublime. The 10 minute walk to the beach was fine and as advertised. Proximity to the pool, hot tub, and community party kitchen and bbq facilities was ideal. We discovered a bicycle our last day and wish we'd known it was there and would have been nice if there was more than one. Also, it's rusty and needs a servicing. The refrigerator was broken when we arrived and while the management company was quick to respond, they only sent their in-house maintenance man the next day, who had no ability to fix a refrigerator. He was sent to confirm the fridge was indeed broken, which is irritating because I'm certainly capable of diagnosing a refrigerator that isn't cooling, viewing a temperature reading of 67 degrees and a blinking service light. Rather than fix the fridge, they sent an additional one the second day that sat in the dining area for our entire stay. We had purchased $350 in groceries, but there was no offer for a refund. The bed linens didn't stay on the bed. The thermostat cannot be turned down below 72 degrees. 71 at night would have been more comfortable. I understand people who don't know how to use a thermostat properly and waste electricity by over-cooling, but we're not those people. Overall, still 5 stars, but just trying to offer some constructive criticism for improvement. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful condo.

There is no doubt that this property has a very desirable location and if views are the most important factor in determining where you stay you will be delighted. Unfortunately, we found the property itself disappointing. The interior is dated and "tired" and it seems that the owners have done very little to provide any updates since it was first built in the 1980's. The kitchen is very small, which wouldn't necessarily be bad but, is minimally equipped. There is no pantry or cupboard space for supplies and items seem to have been thrown haphazardly into drawers without much thought for organization or the needs of guests. The unit is advertised as 3 bedrooms but is really 2 with a study that has a bed in it but no window, no closet and only 1 nightstand. The MB has 2 double closets but when we opened one a large mattress topper, which had been stuffed inside, fell out and there was no place to put it other than on the floor. The fan in the toilet started shrieking the first night however the property managers did quickly get that replaced; they were not however, able to get the issue with the bath tub repaired. We noticed it was slow dripping the first night and then evolved into a constant stream of water. The day before we left, the plumber removed both taps, but the tub remained unusable. We had noticed before we booked that other reviews mentioned that the step down from the main living room to the lanai was problematic and it is undeniably a fall hazard. The 2 steps down are almost impossible to see as your eyes are drawn to the amazing view outside rather than down to the floor. We placed items around the steps to remind us to be careful but would be surprised if there hadn't been a few accidents in this area which we consider a real liability and should certainly be addressed by the owners. Also worth mentioning that lighting throughout the unit itself was very dim in general, again, aging fixtures that need replacing. We have stayed in various locations at Mauna Lani every year for the past 10 years and have never written a bad review but this property really does need some serious attention. We understand that the view is spectacular but that should not negate the owners taking some responsibility for the interior deficits. Outside features are important and amazing views part of the Hawaiian experience, but providing amenities for the comfort and safety of your guests should be equally important.

We had a beautiful view of the golf course and noticed that golfer after golfer after golfer, stood on the green and took a picture. We found out later that this was one of the most photographed golf holes in the country. We didn’t know that before we booked. The view was that spectacular. Another thing that we didn’t know and were delighted to find out was about the private beach access. When we arrived at our place, there was a white access card, that allowed us to go to a phenomenal private beach. When we got there, we were blown away. There’s also an amazing restaurant at the private beach, which was one of our favorite places we went to during our entire stay. The snorkeling there was great, and it was very easy to walk into the water or sit on the sand on the beach. this was a very enjoyable vacation for us.

The condo is in the best location at Mauna Lani Point. Every night we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunset. There were a few repairs needed to the condo. When we arrived we found: 1.the primary bathroom toilet not working, 2.the refrigerator was in need of defrosting (a huge block of ice formed in the back) All food froze when placed in the refrigerator, 3.the sliding glass doors were so difficult to open you needed your full body weight. I called maintenance and they sent someone, but he was unable to fix any of the problems during our stay. The day we left they were running around trying to fix things for the next occupants. I wish the people who rented before us let management know. These were obvious problems. All in all we had a lovely time and got used to salad "icicles ".

Great location, but run down, tired place. Everything from beds, pillows, furniture, appliances, toilets, sliding doors,, cookware… need an overhaul. No bikes, no phone per website. Disinterested owner… with their junk stored in every cabinet and drawer. No cleaning service AT ALL during 3 week stay!! Get a grip

We love the Mauna Lani community and beach. I don’t know how we will top the views of this condo for future trips. We enjoyed walking to the beach from the condo. They were great to provide a high chair, baby monitor, and pack n play for our daughter. My Dad mentioned that the king mattress in the non primary bedroom could be replaced. Overall great trip would stay again

We throughly enjoyed this beautiful condo. The sunsets are amazing and we are golfers so we had fun watching the players on the courses signature hole that off the Lanai. The only draw back is that there are steps inside that are right in front of the glass sider leading out to the lanai and they are very dangerous. I suggest that they be marked more visibly or removed so someone doesn't go through the window.

The stairs in the living room are very dangerous. My husband fell the first night we arrived. Would suggest a low railing so you know they are there. The sliding doors are very hard to get open. The shower in master goes all over the floor. Needs a new sealer on the bottom of the door. Ice maker didn't work.

Beautiful home with golf course and ocean views!! It was even prettier than the pictures. We loved the location of the property with easy access to restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store and many beaches nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

The views, as the other reviews mention, are perfect! The condo itself is o.k. The bikes are broken, and when we called about the surrey bike we were told it doesn't exist? the kitchen is very small so you can manage but if you have a group of 5 or more it's a bit tight. Also be careful of the oddly placed steps as you walk out to the lanai. We all missed them and luckily no one got hurt. Also, bring your own toilet paper as we were only provided 2 rolls. Speaking of bathrooms there is a very strange set up in the master bath where the toilet is not in the bathroom but rather in the bedroom. Also, it felt odd that we paid for a cleaning fee but were given a list of "laundry" items to do before we left. But all of that aside.....just step outside and look at the views and all the wierdness of this condo fade away.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
