This was our third time staying in the unit. We have stayed at Surfside six times. We love the location, vibe and views! This unit is one of the best in terms of updates and views. I think the new AC will be an added bonus. I also think they could update some bedding, new pillows etc. Otherwise, the unit is equipped with everything you need at a high quality. Our dishwasher broke but Edwin was quick to respond. We will be back and highly recommend this unit!

Steps away from the beach which was perfect for strolling and admiring all that Maui offers. Close to the Shops at Wailea and there are numerous dining choices minutes away. Highly recommend!

This property lived up to all expectations. Great views of the beach, well maintained pool and grounds, close to other vacation attractions, and easy access to and from OGG airport. We would definitely consider staying at this property for future vacations to Maui.

The condo was as advertised - everything was very clean, the kitchen was well outfitted with appliances and culinary tools, and there were beach towels to use. Location was quite good - peaceful, quiet, and yet restaurants and other attractions were not far away. And the grounds offered some nice walks and quick beach access.

Love the location of this condo! All necessary amenities were provided. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and a beach cooler bag were all greatly appreciated! We hope to be back and would stay here again!
I always like to score the comfort of the bed for others to see/read. This condo's bed is a 6.5/10 for comfort. A little more firm than my wife and I like, but we still slept just fine and would stay here again. Not a deal-breaker!

This was our second stay at Edwin’s condo and it was good as the first time. Great location next to the beach and the best view to start and end your day. Communication with the owners was excellent. We had a few concerns that were addressed promptly. The staff at the condo were also great to deal with. Condo was very clean and fully equipped. Would stay here again!

We love this condo. Nicely appointed. Very clean and updated. The view from the deck is spectacular. We saw " tons " of whales (ha ha quite literally). Also great location for long walks on the beach. Added bonus.....the conch shell blowing every night at sunset. You can't miss with this place!!!

We have stayed in various units at our prior 7 stays at the Kihei Surfside, but unit 310 was the best! We just returned from a relaxing 2 week stay, and must say that Edwin and Wendy have attended to every need in their well appointed condo. Ceiling fans, the ocean breeze, and afternoon tradewinds kept the unit comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with any small appliance that you could need, and the roomy refrigerator with great ice maker, nice flat-top range, and very quiet dishwasher made food preparation and clean up easy. The large king bed in the bedroom was comfortable, and the full bath off the bedroom had a nicely tiled shower with great adjustable shower head. Having an extra half-bath off the main entry way was also convenient when 2 people are trying to get ready to go out. Beach needs have also been attended to, with nice beach chairs, umbrella, heavy beach towels, pool noodles, and cooler (just to name a few items) provided.
The location of this condo couldn't be more perfect. Just a couple of miles from trendy Wailea to the south, and a couple of miles from the hustle and bustle of the busy Kihei beach areas to the north, activities and dining options abound. The Surfside is located just a few steps away from Keawakapu Beach, which is perhaps one of the best beaches on Maui. The park-like setting to the back of the building is a picturesque greenspace with a flat lawn, perfect for golf putting, playing croquet, or bocce ball. The spectacular view from the balcony overlooks the lawn and ocean, along the beaches of Kihei to Ma'alaea and the west Maui mountains. The heated pool is a fabulous alternative to the beach, and cook-out lovers will appreciate the nice barbeque area.
We could not have asked for more, and look forward to returning to unit 310 again in the future!

Surfside 310 is a an excellently appointed unit on the beautiful Surfside property. The grounds were groomed daily, the sunsets from the lanai were gorgeous, and while we lacked trade winds during our stay, we were never uncomfortable at night.
Location was top-notch. It was away from the busyness of formal Kihei and Wailea.
Be sure to check out Makena Beach for some incredible waves for a relaxing beach day.
Beyond the unit and property itself, my wife and I found a small cove directly north of the property and south of the boat launch.
Enter the trail from the grass and you’ll be there in 90 seconds. We spent every evening seeing turtles at this cove and loved it so much. Please stay back from the turtles because they come to shore to rest and we don’t want to startle them back into the ocean.
We cannot wait to return.

My husband and I first stayed in this unit 10 years ago and we just enjoyed another amazing stay! The unit is very clean, the kitchen and the beach supply closet were well equipped and you have the most gorgeous views from the lanai. I would recommend this unit to any of our family or friends to stay in, that’s how much we loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is amazing! The location was great. The views were out of this world. There is one of the best beach’s right next to the building. If you are looking to do a snorkelling or fishing tour the meeting place is within walking distance. Shopping and restaurants are a short drive (5 mins away) but there is a great corner store across the parking lot if you need anything. The grounds are so well kept. The maintenance guys are meticulous especially the older fellow who does the pool and bbqs. I was in awe watching how he lined up the lawn chairs every morning.
The condo itself was a game changer. It is probably one of the best equipped condos if stayed in. It has everything you could possibly need. There is beach chairs (good ones) two snorkelling sets (one set of fins) a umbrella, beach bag, a hat, the list goes on and on. The kitchen has everything you need also and it was nice to have some things that people left behind. We came in very late so we were happy to see there was some left over coffee and sugar from the previous guests.
Shower has great pressure and also nice to have some left over shampoos and conditioner from previous guests. It was great to have a second bathroom as well. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE and massive which was also a game changer since my husband and I are both tall. This place does not have AC but the bedroom fan made it so we didn’t need it or miss it.
All in all, this place was perfect. It was a great place to land after a long day enjoying the sights but also a great place to stay and have a day close by.
And…yes there are roosters. They will wake you up if you don’t close the bedroom windows. They are everywhere in Hawaii and they like to be heard but in all honesty we got to love them and who the heck wants to sleep in when you come to Hawaii and have the view you do from this condo.
11am check out time is awesome too! Everyone else does 10am!
100% recommend and I promise we will be back. Thank you for really going the extra mile with this place, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Our vacation to Maui was absolutely perfect.. it was my wife and I on a vacation by ourselves without the kiddo for the first time since our honeymoon in 2008. The condo was great.. it was not a party location and it seemed it was more of a family location. The groundskeepers were there every morning to make sure everything was clean and properly set up. The room itself was just the right size for a 2 person getaway. There is an absolutely beautiful beach just footsteps away and plenty of dining options just a couple of miles up the road towards Kihei. There was no air conditioning in the unit so it was a little warm during the day but once the sun started to go down the trade winds cooled everything off nicely. We’ve been to the Big Island twice and we loved it… but Maui has taken our hearts and we will definitely be back and would highly consider staying here again.

Property and unit was exactly as described. Unit was clean and we had everything we needed. We were there to attend a wedding so my only glitch would be the bedroom light was not working so there was a little difficulty when getting ready but it all worked out well in the end. My husband and I loved everything about our stay here! Suite 310 had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views and a great lanai, great breezes that kept it cool. They were starting to install air conditioning in the building during our stay, which will be nice in the bedroom if you want to close windows (roosters start crowing pretty early! We did get used to that after a few days though.)

Wow, what a place!!! We loved the pictures but thought it may not be as cool as what we saw online..Then we arrived and were blown away by how beautiful it was. The pictures only tell half the story. The condo has the most amazing views of the ocean and stunning sunsets. This place is fully stocked with everything you'll need to have an amazing time: snorkeling gear, toys for the pool, etc.. The condo has a great kitchen with everything you need to make a meal/snack to take out on the porch and enjoy the views...The staff at the condo was great. And the communication with the condo owner was fast and easy. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommend booking this place for your Maui vacation!

We were with other family members who stayed in two other units. Edwin’s unit was the beast one by far. One one of our sons and his family have been to Maui and stayed at Surfside 11 years in a row in several different units. They thought 310 was the best one too. We feel the pictures of the kitchen make it look a bit dark, but it is not dark at all. The unit is very clean, roomy with not too much unneeded furniture, and had so many thoughtful touches. There were plenty of extra towels, the hall closet was available and not locked, there are lots of drawers, all kinds of kitchen items for cooking., the appliances were newer and nice, the sliding doors slid easily, the king bed was very comfortable. The bedroom ceiling fan was great. When the birds started up early in the morning We closed the bedroom windows and put the ceiling fan on high and it was just fine in there. Earlier there was a nice breeze coming through. It does get a little dusty in all units because we leave our doors and windows open for the breeze, but we just swept the floor a bit. The door screens need closing because birds like to come inside. The only thing lacking was no garbage disposal, but some other units don’t have them either and we didn’t really need one since the garbage shoot is conveniently down the hall. We had an 11am check out instead of 10am like many others. That was nice. Of course the views are wonderful. There is a no cancel policy for this unit so we bought some travel insurance just in case since we booked so far in advance.
If we come back we will definitely stay in this unit. Thanks Edwin.

Stayed at the Surfside 20 years ago and loved it so much came back to find everything was as it was other than the units are now remodeled and look even better. Oh except for the free range chickens and roosters roaming the island. Would highly recomend staying here!

This place is extraordinary, everything about the property description is, if anything, understated. It's perfect for a couple and the location couldn't be better. It sits right on the boundary between the immaculately groomed, planned Wilea and the far more casual Kihei. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an nice dining area, although we ate on the deck most of the time. The bed is comfortable and having 1.5 baths is very convenient. One of the two South Maui designated trails originates right at the complex and you can walk north for 1.5 miles along beaches and parks. Alternatively, you can pick up the paved Wilea coastal trail just a ways south and walk another 2.5 miles. There is excellent snorkeling all along the beaches south of the complex but some of the best we found was the reef about 150 feet from the front door. Sunsets are spectacular and there is usually a conch shell trumpeting ritual each night. The grounds are impeccably maintained as is the pool. Any number of boat trips originate at the Kihei boat ramp which is about 150 yards north of the complex. We cannot think of anything negative about this property and will probably stay there again.

Rental process was simple, nice place and location. Had everything needed for our stay. Door lock stopped working hour b4 checkout and the roosters let you know who's the boss. We plan to stay again, wish we could afford to live there.

Wailea and all of its beautiful resorts are just a few minutes away. Bring your frisbees and footballs as there is a large lawn available. I have been coming to the island for many years and this is a great place to stay on the sunny side of the island.

Check in was very easy and Edwin was very responsive to our questions. Location is convenient to most activities on the island. The apartment was clean and well-stocked with necessities. The unit looked like it had been recently remodeled and was tastefully decorated. There is no AC, but we found that opening the windows and using the fans made it quite comfortable.
Fantastic views of the ocean. We loved being able to hear the waves at night when we went to sleep, and woke to the sounds of the roosters in the morning.
We highly recommend this property and would definitely come back on our next visit.

Wow! This place blew our expectations out of the water. Photos do not do this view justice. We have stayed at Surfside before and this was by far our favorite. The extra half bathroom was ideal and the condo itself felt spacious. Everything you need in close proximity. Edwin was so easy to work with and so great at communicating! 10/10 recommend!

Location of this Condo is amazing!! Right on the beach, there is a wonderful snorkeling spot right in front of the property. 5 palms restaurant is right next door, as well as a convenient store and place to rent boogie board, snorkeling equipment etc.
The condo itself is beautiful, clean, well equipped. We couldn't have asked for more!!

Well appointed condo with unbelievable ocean and island views. Plenty of everything we needed: linens, towels, kitchen appliances, cooking and eating utensils, etc. Soft sand beach is a 60 second walk from the building. Nothing beats enjoying a cocktail on the lanai- watching the waves, waiting for sunset.

It doesn’t get much better than this for a Maui beach vacay! Close to beaches, a park with a stunning ocean view, restaurant & general store. Driving basically anywhere on the island is a breeze and you can walk to bars/shops/beaches in Kihei. Loved waking up to the views each morning! Perfect for a couple, close friends, or a small family!

I have given high star scores for the given categories because it was a clean and nice property and the property manager was responsive but there were some points about the property that I would rate low. There was no air conditioning in the unit and although it stated that the breeze was all that was needed, it was extremely hot and sticky which made it very hard to sleep or be inside the condo comfortably. There was no pool either due to renovations so no way to cool down there! The renovations made the area noisy too and when we looked out of our window or sat on the lanai we were looking on to a building site. Perhaps winter time may have been a better time to revamp the pool area? The barbecue facilities were two unsheltered barbecue grills in the parking lot!!! Not attractive in any way! We had stayed at another property the previous week and the barbecue area was beautiful and sheltered and had lovely, private tables and chairs to enjoy your food so this was a huge letdown!
