Moana Hideaway is a comfortable, cozy, and attractive beach front family-style home that has returned to our exclusive portfolio of better quality beach homes as an upscale residence with an updated interior decor. The home features Italian leather sofas in the main house and cottage living rooms, original oil paintings, central air conditioning, a beach-entry ocean view heated swimming pool, a hot tub spa that cascades into the swimming pool, a cocktail and grilling cabana with an ice maker, fridge, deluxe grill with side burner, wet bar sink, and verdant tropical landscaping surrounds the home. The sandy shoreline in front of the property is open to the public, as are all beaches throughout the State of Hawaii.

Additional amenities at Moana Hideaway include bathrobes, high thread count cotton linens, and a well equipped kitchen. Please enjoy the high speed wireless internet access at no charge, USA and Canada calling at no charge, multiple ethernet jacks for fast hard-wired connections, 7.1 surround sound system with Apple TV, an iPod dock, NFL Red Zone, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, an X-BOX 360 HD, Xbox One and Wii game console systems, an assortment of board and video games, a safe for your valuables, and multiple flat panel high resolution televisions.

The main house, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living/dining/kitchen was built in 2007. The separate cottage is older construction but newly remodeled as of March 2022. The cottage has one bedroom, one small bathroom, and a small kitchen and living room. It is situated apart from the main house but within the gated property. The separate cottage was also just remodeled and has it's own washer/dryer. NEW PHOTOS COMING SOON!

Please note: Construction was initiated on a vacant lot across from the property as of December 11, 2023. We were advised the schedule will be from 8:00am to approximately 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturdays. Some days noise may be heard from the cottage area of Moana Hideaway located near the road.

Moana's thoughtful owners have provided many special touches including a newly gated entry, large driveway with plenty of parking, an office work space with printer, security system, chef's knives, a state-of-art cappuccino and espresso maker & grinder, a computer with flat panel monitor for guest use, printer, PlayStations 3, 4 and 5, Xbox HD 360, Xbox One, Wii game console, Alexa, Virtual Concierge, SONOS, a library of books, X-Box games, PlayStation games, and a library of CD and DVD discs.

A sprawling green grass lawn reaches from the Hideaway to the sandy shore, providing plenty of room to run around and play, or for a game of croquet or volleyball. The sandy shore in front of Moana Hideaway is sheltered by an ancient off-shore reef. The ocean gently laps along the shoreline, providing a terrific lagoon-like area of shallow warm water which is ideal for use by young children. If you are seeking a postcard perfect broad white sand swimming beach with sandy bottom, simply hop in your rental car and within minutes you will find no less than a dozen different sandy beaches to choose from. Most all nearby beach parks feature adequate free parking, restrooms, showers, picnic tables and some are staffed with lifeguards.

Moana Hideaway is located in Kihei on the beach side of a quiet single lane residential street. The home is set back off the residential lane, therefore the ambiance of the property is serene, tranquil, relaxing, and truly a dreamy Hawaiian hideaway. The property is decorated with lovely flowering and fragrant tropical plants and plumeria (frangipani) trees. Tropical song birds also make it their home. A secluded side yard provides a hidden corner perfect for private tanning. Moana Hideaway is a charming and comfortable newly built residence which maintains a very welcoming and casual ambiance.

From the Hideaway, in one direction you may walk to the grocery store, post office, bank, restaurants, doctor's office and even to the fabulous free county operated open air heated Olympic size lap pool and kiddie pool. In the other direction, you may walk just a pinch under one mile to a large convenient public park with night-lit basketball and tennis courts, skateboard ramp, in-line skating rink, and children's play equipment. Adjacent to the park is a collection of small boutique restaurants, grocery store, bars with live music, movie theater, Starbucks, yoga studios, and ethnic restaurants.

- Please expect ambient audible living noises. From time to time a neighbor may host a party or the voices of children playing or some music may be audible from a nearby residence.
- This home is located in a quiet residential area. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am.
- The sandy shoreline in front of the property is open to the public, as are all beaches throughout the State of Hawaii.
- The 4th bedroom is in a separate free-standing cottage which is approximately 50 feet from the Main House.
- All bathrooms in this home have a shower stall but no tub. There is an outdoor shower and a half bath by the pool.
- On-site maintenance for interior plant care is performed weekly.
- Construction Disclosure: Without prior notice to us, construction was initiated on a vacant lot across from the property as of the week of December 11, 2023. We were advised the schedule will be from 8:00am to approximately 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturdays. Some days noise may be heard from the cottage area of Moana Hideaway. The contractor has agreed to try to let us know in advance of especially loud construction times but this cannot be guaranteed. Kindly note this activity is outside of our control and rental rates have been adjusted accordingly.

SPECIFIC RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS STIPULATED BY MAUI COUNTY AS A CONDITION FOR GRANTING THIS PROPERTY A SHORT-TERM (Vacation) RENTAL PERMIT/LICENSE:

- Quiet Hours From 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., During Which Time the Noise from the Short-Term Rental Home Shall Not Unreasonably Disturb Adjacent Neighbors
- Sound that is Audible Beyond the Property Boundaries During Non-Quiet Hours Shall Not be More Excessive than Would be Otherwise Associated with a Residential Area
- Amplified Sound that is Audible Beyond the Property Boundaries of the Short-Term Rental Home is Prohibited
- Vehicles Shall be Parked in the Designated Onsite Parking Area and Shall Not be Parked on the Street
- No Parties and No Group Gatherings Other than Registered Guests Shall Occur
- Occupancy is for 2 Guests per Bedroom

We had such a great time at this property. Our property manager, Adrienne, was on site when we checked in to welcome us onto the property and give us a tour. She had placed little flowers all over the house, and kept a hibiscus at the mailbox daily. (What a sweet touch!) She was also great with communication and was so helpful. The home is so lovely. Our family of 8 (children ages 3-20) had plenty of room and we were so comfortable in the home. The pool and hot tub was excellent and we really loved the gradual decline of the pool for our toddler. We saw whales out in the ocean and we saw turtles on the beach. We appreciated the daily cleanings provided. There were many things provided for our stay including soaps, beach chairs, towels, reusable shopping bags, boogie boards, sand/pool toys, etc. The outside area is great for relaxing and sharing a meal as well. We had such a great time here. Thanks so much!

From the moment the property was rented until the moment we left, we knew our vacation would be great. Outstanding communication, amazing property, great location... and to the vast surprise of my teenagers the largest video game library they've ever had access to across multiple consoles. Just mentioning that in case anyone's wondering if they can get uninterrupted quiet pool, hot tub or hammock time... the answer was yes. The Guest house has been very recently redone and it shows - like a separate little house and oasis with its own small kitchen and living room, great for people who need a separate space. The pool and hot tub are perfect for for both active and passive pursuits, the ledge seating and the mini "beach" entry were unique and popular features. Speaking of beaches.. incredible for "I just want to put my toes in the sand" or "I'd like to get adventerous", or even "Hey, I wonder if there are turrtles down this way" (yes, there are, by the way). All in all an amazing oasis that we were sad to leave, less than 5 minutes drive to almost everything you could need, and conveniently midcoast so we could go north or south or no where at all whenever we desired. Highly recommend.

My family was so overwhelmed with the games on tv, pool, hot tub, ocean scenery right there. the beauty of it all. Im so thankful I was able to get my family there with me to enjoy it all. The shops are close by not to far away. went for scenery ride. its all so beautiful. I thank you so much for using your home.

Wonderful place. Main house is perfect. Pool is sensational. Management were great and amenities were top notch. Would stay again. Only issue is that the “guest house” is not really up to expectations. Musty, damp, mildew noted. Was unfair to the one member of our party that had to stay out there when the rest of us were in the palace!

Everything about this property was amazing! We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children. There was excellent communication from the property management staff which made check in and check out a breeze. They were extremely helpful in arranging an amazing chef to come to the house for two nights and were readily available throughout the stay if needed. The location in Kihei was perfect. Close to the grocery store and small restaurants which was very convenient. The house was extremely well appointed with just about everything you could possibly need...nice toiletries, great bar ware, beach chairs, umbrellas, sun hats, reef safe sunscreen, even champagne bottle stoppers! We were very impressed with how well thought out the house was supplied. The beach directly in front of the house is beautiful and was perfect for hours of relaxing and playing with in the sand. There is a reef a ways out which kept the wave size down and just right for our two small children (4 and 1). We saw and swam with turtles daily! It did get windy in the afternoons but not too bad. One day was was windy enough for us leave the beach but we still had an incredible afternoon playing in the beautiful pool and enjoying drinks at the cabana. My parents loved the privacy of the cottage out front which was a great retreat for them. We couldn’t be happier with our stay and are already planning our return!

It's hard to describe this property... I will write this for those of you scrolling through the site trying to find a place to stay in the most amazing place on earth... JUST BOOK THIS HOUSE! If you are parents and bringing your kids... this house is PERFECT for you... if you are a group of adults getting away to paradise... this house is PERFECT for you. This home has everything... beach towels... three grills... amazing pool and hot tub... and ON THE BEACH! Photos do not begin to show the amazingness of this home. I looked for a place forever... thought I was prepared but when I walked in and saw the back yard and ocean it took my breath away. Kids had an amazing time... brought my father in law and he had his own separate living space to escape to. The home has all the dishes... laundry... body wash, lotion, shampoo etc you could ever use... stop at Costco to buy your food and you will be good for your entire stay... they have everything else! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK on a regular basis... this home MADE our vacation. THANK YOU so much to everyone!

Property had all the amenities. Hot tub and pool were a big hit with our family. The close proximity to shopping, groceries and restaurants was a big plus. The home is outfitted with top of the line appliances, gaming systems and sound systems. Privacy was reasonable as you front the beach which is public and there were people crossing the back end of the property by the beach regularly. One day we sat on the grass watching whales breach. Another day we welcomed a large sea turtle to our section of the beach where she tanned for several hours. The road to Hana is worthwhile but plan on a full day to fully enjoy it.
