Everything was quite satisfactory until I woke to concrete demolition on an adjacent deck which later in the week was on our deck. The racket broke to peace and quiet of sitting on our lanai. We had no warning and no offer of adjustments. Otherwise quite nice.

Our experience started on the wrong footing when we first step into the condo. I had to make calls to the manager immediately requesting assistance. The manager was great in responding to our calls. All the issues were remedied by the next day. The unit was very nice with great view of the ocean from the lanai. We ate most of our meals there. The kitchen was a bit tight. Otherwise the rest of the unit was quite comfortable. AC units worked great. Didn't have to run it very long to cool down the entire unit. The water pressure in the shower was good. We enjoyed the condo and the grounds were well kept. Very pleasant stay.

We simply had an amazing stay. The condo itself has got so much to offer. It’s vast, clean, filled with amenities and the balcony overlooking the courtyard is a real gem. We could ramble on and on but instead will simply say that we would not hesitate a second to go back. If you choose this unit, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again.

We loved this vacation rental, because it was very quiet situated, had a wonderful garden, was large and well equipped. The management was helpful. But the booking could be done easier, as we experienced in other similar condos: less mails (we got all twice from Knudson and ), some several times, a signment of a rental agreement we had in no other case and this was stressful for us, the download of an extra app we think is not necessary, a mail with the entrance codes one or two days before would be satisfying.

I think some of the owners are a bit snooty, I actually heard 3 of them, in the pool, like junior high, gossiping. I'm sure they don't care about my thoughts.

From the moment I drove onto the property I was very impressed. The grounds are so lush and tropical and clean. I enjoyed the walk down to the unit that I rented it was an unbelievably beautiful walkway. The condo had everything I needed and more and I highly recommend staying here. And the property management company was exceptional so kind and so helpful.

My Husband and I stayed for 10 days at this property. The condo is a bit dated, but offered everything we needed. Beach stuff was included, which is a must for us. The grounds are very well manicured and the view of the sunset is perfect. The property managers were super good to deal with and answered and resolved any inquiries we had.

The check in and check out was seamless, the easiest we've encountered yet.
The condo is beautifully maintained and extremely convenient.
We enjoyed our breakfast in the lanai watching the ocean waves roll in.
We will definitely stay in this place again.

Generally very pleasant. Good location and property. Well laid out. Two minor things for the mgmt company vs Airbnb or vrbo experiences; too few consumables for longer stays (tp, paper towel, trash bags, etc) as these are not available in the small quantities needed, and paperwork is way over the top in your rental process.

We will definitely stay here again. Much less expensive than a hotel plus we had a kitchen complete with everything you’d need!
Had a living room with a TV…that actually had Netflix and Hulu.
Other things included beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, ice chests… you name it, they had it! A big plus was a washer and dryer!

This was our first trip to Hawaii and our stay at Kona Makai started out with a couple of problems but ended perfectly. When we first arrived we could not get the lockbox open, but after calling Knutson & Associates, we had the problem solved within the hour. The other issue was guests in the unit below who were constantly smoking and filled our unit with smoke. This was also quickly resolved with help from Don, the property manager. Other than that, unit 3203 was perfect; clean, well-stocked with kitchen items, beach gear, towels, linens and had a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. We especially loved the gorgeous sunset views each evening while we were grilling our dinner out by the beautiful pool!

It was an amazing location very close to several beaches, outdoor shopping markets, and tons of restaurants! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking in! The washer and dryer are small but perfect when all you need to wash is your beach stuff!

We really liked the location & the grounds are beautiful. The view from unit is as promised in listing. We have stayed in Hawaii before & based on our experience we were disappointed with the shape of the unit. Bathroom Reno helps but we felt it badly needs updating. The old carpet seemed to bother my asthma, so I wouldn’t recommend that & taught me to inquire in future about carpets. All appliances worked fine, a little low on disposable supplies for a 10 day stay but there was enough kitchen tools etc. I would rent again at this complex but not this particular unit.

Very comfortable, everything was very clean. Condo is well stocked for those cooking at home. Thoughtful additions such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and ice chests were great. Check in was smooth and easy, although the lock box was kinda sticky ( every Master lockbox I’ve ever used has had the same issue).

The property itself was 5 stars! Loved it. It was well maintained, the location was great, and there was plenty of parking. It was fun to hike around the lava rocks on the ocean and to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets, then jump in the Jacuzzi and relax. The unit was also nice. Clean and well stocked with towels, etc. The two downfalls are with the bedding and the A.C. The A.C was in the form of 2 wall units, which were quite loud. They worked fine but had to run pretty constantly while we were in the unit, including at night. We got used to the noise, but would have preferred a quieter unit. The pillows were as cheap as they come, and the bed actually smelled stale and old. The smell was subtle and we got used to it, but could not get used to the pillows. The bed itself was comfortable. Overall, I would consider staying here again, but I would want to bring my own pillows to spare the neck pain.

This condo was clean and nicely furnished. The general property is beautiful, with a wonderful seating, bbq, dining, pool area right on the ocean It is not near a beach, but we enjoyed walking on the lava rocks, exploring the tidepools, watching the sunsets and snorkeling just steps away. Of course, watch the ocean conditions. On days when the ocean is not rough, this is some of the best snorkeling on the island.

This is a beautiful condo right on the Ocean. The water is so blue; The trees, plants, and flowers will leave you in awe. Lots of little geckos and zebra doves singing. Great Pool at the facility. The walkways along the ocean are breathtaking. This particular condo has great artwork on the walls. Everything was clean and in good working order. Communication was fast and efficient. There are two Lanais. One on each side of the building; One is very quiet and shaded off of the bedroom. Perfect for meditation or reading. The other is great for meals and sunsets!! Spectrum Cable TV. We loved it here. Would study the building layout a little if you are coming late. I was a little confused on which building was ours. For 3-203 go all the way to the left and then about halfway down the footpath.
