This is a very spacious apartment in a clean quiet building. Best part is free parking and a really great steak house on the ground floor. Not a place for lounging at the pool or hanging around the resort, but a great location, close to the beach and shopping.

It was my first visit since September 2018, and it had been renovated and was beautiful.It was nice that the toilet in the master bedroom had also been replaced with a washlet.Having a washer and dryer in the room is very convenient.Although the room was on the top floor, there seemed to be no one staying in the other rooms on the same floor, so it was very quiet.Unfortunately, at night, you can hear the loud live music from the ground from the window, and you can only think of it as noise.Other than that, there were no problems at all, and I would recommend this room to everyone.

Upon entrance to property PH4, corner wall had been very sloppily repaired. There were plaster pieces all over the floor and we had to clean them up. When we mentioned that to the property manager he said he knew about it.
Air vents full of dust and hair. Air conditioning that didn’t work in living room where Murphy bed was located. Very uncomfortable for sleeping.
Soap holder in second bath broken. Very small shower and no where to put your things.
Vanities in both bathrooms never updated and very low.
Shower door in master bath was off track and very dirty looking.
Outlets in living room were filthy and one on kitchen wall sloppily repaired.
Our unit was on the 23rd floor of the building. On the second night upon arriving back to the unit we were greeted by a HUGE cockroach on our door and couldn’t shoo it away. Needless to say, we weren’t sure how many were crawling around our unit.
The next morning (Thursday) we were having coffee and made plans for the day. When we went to take showers, all the water had been turned off with no notice to us. We called the property manager and did not get an answer. Then called Captain Cook and told her our problem. She contacted James Wickert our property manager who told us that indeed the water was off until about noon!! We could use the restrooms in the lobby (23 stories down) if we needed them. Our only option was to move out. I am very displeased and expect refund.

Loved view, location, space, wonderful manager, communication, most of the furniture was true to picture however, not the living room set and rug. I was disappointed that the living room furniture and coffee table were not exactly as shown on the website. It is still showing as such. The living room sofa was leather and the chair uncomfortable. I was going for a comfy look though I do not think I would have even look at it with the current living room set. But like I said. view, location, space, manager were great!!!

The unit is spacious for a family of 4. Nearby restaurants, stores, shopping and a short walking distance to the beach. It has the basic needs, dishes, cutlery, pots, coffee maker. Beach chairs and towels are also provided. It is nicely staged as viewed online but these photos are very deceiving. It is very outdated. The very old sofa bed creaks and the master bedroom bed mattress is very hard. The toilet flush is not working properly but we worked around it. It is a very noisy area. We had the doors shut in the evening, but can hear the loud band/singing from the nearby bars. In the early morning, around 4-4:30, the noise from commercial vehicles would wake us up.

Parking in the basement, entering and exiting is relatively easy and it's easy to get to/from the freeway. My only complaint is the building elevator can be quite slow, especially since we're on the top floor.

We visited during Christmas holidays.
We loved the location, pent house, beautiful Lanai n everything about it. Property manager were very responsive. Explained all check in check out details.
Two minor issues - dryer broke down and front door keypad wasn’t working the 3rd day. Property manager responded quickly for both issues. Overall a very nice experience. Will rent again. Free parking was so good. Penthouse is 5 min walk to all happening places in Waikiki.
The breakfast place downstairs is amazing and food court right in-front of the building.
Pretty secure and access control entry.

We had a wonderful stay at Marine Surf. It was centrally located and was convenient for walking around to visit stores and restaurants in Waikiki. We loved the free parking included with our unit. The place had a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains. We were able to watch the fireworks on Friday night from the lanai. Our property manager, James, was great at responding quickly to my texts. The only reason I’m not giving this unit a 5 star review is that I would’ve liked to see the place to be a bit cleaner. I noticed I few spots and areas were missed in the bathrooms and the dining area. Some of the furnitures are needing maintenance as they were showing their age, wear and tear, needing to be replaced soon. But overall our entire family of 6 were comfortable and utilized the kitchen amenities and washer and dryer nicely included in the unit.

It's very noisy and you can hear traffic, construction, and performers sing from Kalakaua Ave. There was a consistent sound from within the bedroom, could be the air conditioner. Dresser drawers, doors to closets, cabinets don't stay close. Patio doors are hard to open. Lots of carpet stains.

Our stay was a pleasant one. I called for an iron and iron board and it at the front door in less then 24 hrs. If I wasn't getting married two days after I would not have requested one. I will definitely stay at this property again.

Things we liked:
Location was great - very walkable distance to beach. Having an air conditioner was very much appreciated. Enough space for six people to sleep. The building was quiet. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. The wall of windows that opened fully making the dining room larger if desired.
What we didn't like:
The sliding doors to the lanai were very hard to slide.
Not enough beach towels - and a text to the property manager didn't remedy that - we made do.
Not enough snorkel equipment for 6, again, we made do - not a big deal, but we did think a place for 6 should have enough things for 6.
The kitchen--we rent places with kitchens to make vacations for 6 a little more budget friendly - we were disappointed in this one...
Not enough dishes - a condo advertised for 6, had only two "adult" bowls.
No handles in the cabinets - something we didn't notice in the pictures and didn't know we would dislike.
No potholders which is annoying.
The oven didn't get as hot as it should - we ended up having to broil our pizzas.
Low clearance if microwave over stove made using the back burners difficult.
Several of the pots/pans/etc needed to be washed before use, which gave the place a "dirty" feel.
We would have loved a bigger skillet or two as we were cooking for 6.
Overall the place was adequate, we're just a family who enjoys cooking and felt a bit cramped in our style by the kitchen. And we think that a place that sleeps 6 should.be euipped for 6 in all the things.

This property was the perfect size for our family. Check-in/out was a breeze. Hosts were easy to communicate with. It was great to have a parking space in central Waikiki. The views from the lanai were beautiful. The property felt very safe.
The couch bed was too uncomfortable to use so we borrowed an air mattress from a local family member. There is a bar downstairs that has live music every night which can be loud in the unit even with doors closed & curtains drawn.
Definitely would recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay in PH4. The layout is nice and roomy compared to others we have rented. Captain Cook is great to work with and our property manager was top notch! We were disappointed in the pull out couch sleeping options so we requested a blow up mattress and got it the same day. The location and parking space are great. If you have not been to Waikiki before you just need to be aware that many of the hotel/condo accommodations are old and need to be refurbished. This unit is good and what I would call normal for this area but in other area's it would be subpar. The value for this condo in Waikiki is solid. The pull down queen is adequate but the hide-a-bed options are not suitable for adults. Condo was clean. The master suite is wonderful and has a full bath. It was nice having a second full bath.

I stayed with my three kids at Marine Surf and we had a really good time. The unit was clean and worked well for the four of us. Any more people would have been rather tight. The unit was a four minute walk to Waikiki (the best part of Waikiki in my opinion). There are tons of restaurants and shopping all in the general neighborhood. Views were great too! I would stay again in a heartbeat.

This apartment was really excellent. Location was great, it was clean, quiet and well-equipped. The rental agency was very responsive to our questions and issues (they quickly added a safety lock to the slider for our daughter's safety). The only issue was that it requires a key to get to the penthouse floor, and only having two keys for a large group was annoying. Other than that it was great.

This Penthouse apartment is in a building on the corner of Seaside Ave and Kuhio St. It is well appointed with two bathrooms, a large master bedroom with private lanai and lots of cupboard space, as well as multiple sleeping options in the living area including a very comfortable queen sized Murphy bed. There are flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom. It's location is very near to the bus stops on Kuhio . . it's a ten minute ride to Ala Moana Shopping Centre and only a block away from all the shopping and restaurants on the main strip. It's an easy 10 minute stroll to the beach. The Food Pantry is just down the street so you can buy the ingredients to cook if that's your preference . . .the kitchen has everything you need. All towels are provided, including beach towels and there are chairs and boogie boards you can borrow to take to the beach. The new washer and dryer are a bonus if you're travelling with a family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again next time we're in Waikiki . . . Jessica from Captain Cook Resorts was a dream to deal with.

Our whole family (5 of us) loved staying here. This very clean and beautiful penthouse was just perfect for us. We especially loved the view and being so close to the shops, church, and the beach!

Kitchen, washing machine, dryer, is was easy to use new.I was told that bathtub is there, but it was not was a shock.But, it was felt good in a quick deal with trouble.One disadvantage is that the air conditioning of the sound of the bedroom is noisy.
