Impeccable property and incomparable site. The snorkeling off the property was better than Molokini, and the two dozen green turtles that rest each night on the little beach were a wonder. Tryg was responsive to every text or call. The kitchen is very well stocked. There are two washers and dryers, but we only used the ones off the kitchen. There is a garage usable for one car. This is unique spot! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! There were 10 of us - 6 adults, 4 kids ranging from 8 to 3. The house is roomy and well equipped. Seeing the turtles on the beach in front of the house is amazing. Snorkeling right in the cove was great too - very easy access. Tryg Fortun, the owner is wonderful - so helpful and friendly. We are already thinking about when we can return!

Tryg was incredible at communicating with us about our stay and if we had any issues. The layout fit our family perfect because we needed 5 bedrooms. We used the kitchen, patio and pool area mostly as we loved the view and outdoor weather. The kitchen was extremely well stocked for cooking which we did 3 of the nights. Highly recommend this VRBO!

Hosts very nice. Property as advertised, excellent. Overall cleanliness was good. Under two beds, behind two dressers NOT cleaned for a while. Could not locate propane. Seat cushions on (often used ) seaside porch were very thin, older. We loved our stay very much. Very minor complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is wonderful. Spacious. Clean. Nice. And the location is second to none. The turtles that we saw there were incredible. The snorkeling right off the beach was the best on Maui. Better than the boat tours. Loved everything about the stay. Hope to return someday.

My husband and I and our 3 adult daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandkids (8, 5 & 3) loved this house. It is the perfect house for a family. There are 5 bedrooms, each with an attached bath. There are two laundry facilities. The kitchen accommodates multiple cooks. There are some great cooks in our family so when we travel we love having everyone in the kitchen preparing the evening meal and this kitchen just worked for us. Plus there is a grill outside. The dining table was big enough for all of us to sit, enjoy the meal and converse about our day. It was wonderful.
Then there's the spa & pool. The pool was as big of a hit as the ocean for the grandkids. The house had every pool toy for them.
The location = WOW! I cannot imagine a better location. It is steps from the ocean to a small beach with the biggest sea turtles resting & sunbathing all of the time. You can jump right in and swim, snorkel, paddleboard, kayak, or canoe. It's all there and available.
Around the cove is another area calm enough for snorkeling, etc. A few more steps get you to a nice public beach all reachable by car or trails. The location is a wonderful combination of seclusion and convenience. The market is within a reasonable walking distance making the grocery runs simple.
The owners were terrific. Very helpful and promptly responded to every question, I highly recommend this property. It was perfect for us and facilitated a lifetime of wonderful memories. We will be back again.

It’s a great home is a beautiful location. Perfect for both adults and kids. Pool and hot tub located in a back yard with great views of the ocean. Very private. Bedrooms are perfect and house has everything.

The spacious house fit our extended family of 9 perfectly. House is spread-out with the bedrooms largely clustered on one side. This meant that the early morning coffee crew could enjoy the beautiful sunrises without disturbing the late sleepers. We didn't use the middle part of the house at all (living room + den) but spent all of our time around the kitchen and out on the terrace. Poolside terrace was the highlight of the trip as you can listen to the crashing waves while watching the sea turtles come ashore and also scanning the horizon for whales and dolphins. Kitchen could be a little better equipped but all in all it's a great house. The owner was helpful & responsive. The local road is a bit narrow for comfortable walking but the Kapalua Coastal Trail is very close and scenic. Short trails along the north coast are spectacular.

We stayed 10 days in this house and time went by too fast. You are on the water with sea turtles hanging out in the sand, 2 blocks from public beaches, amazing views both during the day & star gazing at night, and plenty of room (we had 10 people). Tryg the owner was very extremely helpful and his house is amazing. I would book this house again on my next trip to Maui.

This home is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind property that was perfect for our four generations of family. We found the home, the pool, the many turtles on the beach and the snorkeling in the ocean occupied much of our time. The home feels very secluded, but is also conveniently located to tasty restaurants, plentiful shopping and easy access to the rest of Maui. The owner is a VRBO superstar! He promptly answered all our questions and dealt with any issues that arose. Our family would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This house very quickly felt like home for our family, celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary. The entire home was very clean. As beautiful as the pictures of the property were, it was even better in person. The kitchen was well-stocked and very organized. All instructions were easy to follow - from operating the spa to using the TV's and internet - and everything worked perfectly. The snorkeling right out front was excellent and what a thrill to see turtles every day. Tryg quickly responded to any of our questions throughout the whole process. If you're looking for a place on Maui to make a truly memorable experience, this is is.

Our group of 10 adults had a wonderful experience at this perfectly appointed home that met all of our needs. The home is beautiful and the outdoor space with views for days was spectacular! Whether you want to relax by the pool, take in the majestic beauty of the sea turtles at the little beach below as they would visit daily, snorkel or just read a book and enjoy the ocean breeze, this is the house for you. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our group that we never felt crowded. It was so nice being able to eat indoors or inside with our large group.
Tryg was also a wonderful host and made the entire process seamless. We hope to return to this truly special place!

This property is right on the ocean, with a wonderful view everyday. We saw beautiful sunsets and enjoyed seeing the sea turtles who come onto the shore. The property provided plenty of space and amenities for our group of 7 people. It is like having your own personal resort. Tryg was a great host and we would definitely stay at this property again.

The house was even better than advertised! Having access to the little beach covered in turtles and tide pools full of life. The house was extremely spacious for the 10 people in our group, kitchen was well appointed and the pool and hottub were where we spent most of our trip.

Really is a “one of a kind home”. While there are many big, beautiful, homes to rent, the combination of location, views, access to the green sea turtles and beach make it a memorable location. In addition, the owner is a reasonable person and easy to work with and very prompt with his communications.

We can never express the magical holiday that we spent in this home in words. The turtles brought us wonder and joy every day. Just sitting and watching them is a gift to behold. Our family of 9 stayed for a week and the house exceeded our expectations. From the location (so close to the market and restaurants) and some of the best snorkeling and surfing, not to mention the turtles ... one day we counted 46 on the beach! We would walk from the backyard down to the sandy beach (directly below the house) and walk into the water to snorkel and swim with the turtles - truly majestic! We came to Hawaii to celebrate Thanksgiving with my folks, my brother (his wife and kids) and my husband and daughter - the house was so spacious we never felt on top of each other and we loved the options of eating all together either inside or out. My dad and I love to cook - it was great to find a very well equipped kitchen with all the utensils, pots/pans, and other items you need to make your meals.
I also want to give a special shout out to our hosts, Tryg and his wife, Barb. They are so gracious, were super quick to answer all our questions prior to our trip and checked in with us often - even stopping by to drop off more local goodies - Hawaiian chips, chocolates, cookies and macadamia nuts. Prior to our arrival I asked if the house had any board games and when he replied with "no" the next question was, "pls send me a list" - he purchased several games which was above and beyond.
We truly loved our vacation and this home made it all the more special!!

We really enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and seeing the turtles come up onto the beach below the house.
The house is in such a great location in Napili, it’s so close to the market, golf, and beaches. Even though we had five couples staying in the house it felt like we all had our own private space.
Tryg is a great host. If you need anything he is very quick to respond.

This is a very unique property! Do not hesitate to book with Tryg and Barb. They were very responsive and very nice hosts! The house has everything you need. You can snorkel right off the beach. There were many turtles everyday. The water is calm. The location is great. Many nice restaurants and market within walking distance. I can not wait to return. Thank you again!

This home is beautiful inside and out. We had 8 adults and 2 small children and it was perfect in every way - everyone had their own private space but also had plenty of room to cook/party/swim together. We really never needed to leave the property which works great when you have small children. We rented snorkel equipment for the week and the water off the beach is perfect to snorkel. The owner is super nice and responsive. Best of all were the sunsets - - breathtaking and beautiful!

Our family of 10 enjoyed our 10-day vacation at this rental. The highlights were the beach access, which served as a docking station for snorkeling, our rented kayaks and SUPs, and most importantly, home to the dozens of sea turtles that we saw daily! The views and location of this house are unbeatable. It's also in a gated neighborhood, which makes the beach access even more private. The CONS: the house is rather old, with dated appliances, and fixtures that didn't always work (window cranks, slow-draining sinks, doors that didn't latch shut). The water had a weird smell to it, and we did find termite droppings in one of the bedrooms. The AC was on a strange system, and didn't always stay cool in the bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom is almost an indoor/outdoor room: the floor is completely tiled, and it's pretty dark and humid down there. It's separated from the rest of the house, and can only access the main house with an outdoor staircase. The path and grassy area on the way to the beach are slippery on the grass, with uneven, windy, rocky steps leading to the beach and no railing. Quite hazardous for kids and adults alike. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay, but for the price, would have hoped for everything to be a little more updated and safer.

What a great property. We had between 30-40 turtles on the beach every night. The property is well put together, great layout and very comfortable. The pool, landscape, everything was very clean. Owner was very nice and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent location. Very private with a small bay that large sea turtles visit during the day to rest. If you want a sandy beach there are a few within walking distance. House has it all. This is your own personal resort.

We stayed here with a family of 8. There was plenty of room inside for everyone with two big tables for meals. We were rarely inside though. The outside is your own personal oasis. The waves crashing the turtles swimming and your own pool and hot tub. Tryg is awesome! He was available for questions and left thorough instructions about the house. We will stay here again next year. We have been home a week and we are still feeling sad that we had to leave!
