ALOHA KA KOU! E KOMO MAI!

Everyone on Oahu knows the Ilikai Marina; ask any kama'aina (local). The Pink Plumeria is right at the center of action for the Ala Wai (Ala Moana) boat harbor and beach park, and a hundred other magical points of interest, yet is remarkably pleasant, convenient, and luxurious. At 679 sq. ft., this condo is considered large by Waikiki oceanfront standards.

Picture yourself watching the outrigger canoe practices, cheering on world-class surfers, or toasting the blazing sunset with your mai tai from our completely refurbished and updated luxury condominium. Or maybe marveling at the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton from one of the best vistas in town. Serene, quiet, ocean front and marina-front living with a 180 degree ocean and marina view. A true one-bedroom unit, a large sliding door closes to separate the living room from the bedroom, but can be open to make the condo look and feel bigger.

Our unit is at the more tranquil Ewa end of Waikiki, yet mere minutes from Ala Moana Mall, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ft. Derussy, Magic Island, Duke's, and 100 other tropical destinations, especially the sparkling white sands of Waikiki - the 'funnest' beach in the world!

Don't feel like cooking? A 'Best in Honolulu' restaurant is within a one-minute walk: the Chart House. Close by is also Pesca Waikiki Beach at the Top of the "I." Red Lobster and the Harbor Pub, long time local favorites, are also less than a one-minute walk away. On your way to the beach, stop off at Cinnamon's Restaurant for food, drinks, and "local kine" hula and music. All this within a 1-3 minute walk.

Locals love the look and feel of the Ilikai Marina, and you will too. The warm feeling of aloha will gently soothe your cares as you relax into the local kine lifestyle. Many of our guests don't even bother to rent a car; "The Bus" is consistently rated the best public transportation system in the USA.

There is a public parking garage next to to our building, and parking is currently $28 per day. If you use the attached parking garage, you will be able to walk directly from your car to our unit; no elevator ride with your luggage or groceries. There is also hourly public parking in front of our building and surrounding the marina. The above rates are subject to change.

An upgraded building laundry is available to use on the 8th floor. Big screen TV, and quiet central air conditioning! Yes, we love it! You will too! No bait and switch on these photos. EVERY PHOTO TAKEN BY US OF THIS EXACT CONDO! We have guests return 8, 9, and yes even 10 times!

King size bed with memory foam topper AND fully encased with bed bug protectors.

MINIMUM STAYS VARY BY MONTH AND BY SEASON. PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. FOR EXAMPLE: CHRISTMAS REQUIRES A MINIMUM 2 WEEK STAY. THE MONTHS OF JANUARY AND FEBRUARY REQUIRE A 30 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.

Wonderful property, well appointed and a fabulous location. Rex & Erica are excellent hosts and Ryan, their local property manager, is equally great. Thank you for accommodating our early arrival request. We'd love to come back!

Great place to stay! Erica and Rex are awesome hosts and gave us lots of information and insider tips, like Hawaiian music on channel 800 24/7 which we enjoyed everyday and made us truly feel we were in Hawaii! The kitchen was stocked with all of the standard cooking items plus extras that we rarely find in a vrbo like cooking spray, cheese grater, colander, pitcher, sheet trays, foil, plastic wrap etc. the coffee maker takes basket filters. There was a closet full of beach goodies to use including boogie boards, chairs, noodles and a cooler plus a few other things I have forgotten. Also provided was another closet with books as well as the essential blue book Oahu revealed to use, had I known wouldn't have lugged mine all the way over and back. We walked to the Ala Moana park every morning and also took several walks over to the Ala Moana mall which is huge and has an excellent food court. The location affords easy access to all highways for island exploration and parking in the garage on the 5th floor allows you to walk to the condo without taking an elevator. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. Thank you Erica and Rex for sharing your place with us.

This condo was exactly as presented, with a stellar view of the marina! It was completely well stocked in the kitchen and everywhere. There was great communication between us and the owners and property manager. The location is walking distance to major beaches, restaurants, and shops. You can walk to view Luau’s for free given by the major hotels nearby, and watch Friday night fireworks . It is also easy to walk to the swimming beaches. Our condo was on the fifth floor and was quiet, no street noise or noise from the nearby restaurants. The bed was VERY comfortable, and the sofa bed was OK but not the most comfortable. We had one minor plumbing problem which was quickly fixed. We paid $23 a Night for parking which was less than surrounding areas and it was easy to walk in and out of the condo from the fifth floor. We did not enjoy driving up and down the parking structure but that comes from staying in a major metropolitan area. We found it rather grueling to drive around because we did a lot of back-and-forth driving and found the lanes, signals, pedestrians, quite a challenge to manuever about. If we needed to drive somewhere beyond walking distance we found parking challenging. I would probably Uber around next time. Anyhow, A+ for the condo, C- for driving in Waikiki

This condo is located in an area that is easily accessible to all kinds of activities. Rex and Erica have outfitted it with anything you would need. They are very nice and accommodating. It was a delight to stay here and to deal with them. When we had a problem it was dealt with immediately. Read the binder left in the condo, it will explain everything and you will have a terrific stay!

Rex and Erica and fantastic hosts. The communication was above and beyond and their Oahu contact responded to my texts straight away. Erica made a binder with everything you need to know about the condo as well as recommendations on restaurants and fun activities to do and see. The location is perfect. Just few blocks from Ala Moana Center where you’ll find my fav Foodland Farms…try their Poke. The condo overlooks the harbor and you can see the beach from balcony. The kitchen is beautiful and is fully stocked with all appliances, dinner ware and cutlery. You don’t need a thing. The bath is spacious as is the bedroom. The bed is so comfortable. There’s a small TV on the dress and both the large smart TV and bedroom TV have cable. I was also able to log into my Netflix account with WiFi which was recently upgraded. The condo is easy to access and if you rented a car there are always spots on the 3rd and 4th floor. Even the staff at the Ilikai Harbour were wonderful. My daughter and I felt completely safe at all times and we had an amazing time. I will definitely be going back to Pink Plumeria. No more hotels for me!

The place was as advertised, comfortable and plenty of space. The owners keep several items there for your use at the beach. The parking was very convenient and affordable. The owners and their local point of contact were all very nice and very prompt with all responses to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this condo for anyone looking for a great location for a reasonable price.

Location of condo is ideal, it’s close to everything - beach, restaurants, mall etc. Communication with the host was smooth, no issues. The condo has everything you need for your stay. Furniture seems a bit outdated, but comfortable. The balcony is only big enough to stand, no real space to sit down and enjoy your morning brew, but the views and sunset make up for that. The washer and dryer was out of service in the condo so we had to pay to use the community laundry on the 8th floor which was inconvenient. There was an issue with roaches in the kitchen area of the condo but apparently this is an issue everywhere in Hawaii, the guide book that’s left for you explains that they’re everywhere but they fumigate the building regularly - it’s still shocking when you randomly see them running on the counter and under the sink so that’s something to consider. Overall the condo was nice and would stay again

September 2021
My flight and airport experience was the absolute worst! I was so frustrated, and angry.... but upon walking into this beautiful place to spend my vacation It truly took my breath away! The moment I walked through the door, I immediately walked to the glass doors and witness the most beautiful site. The marina, and the beach, it was breath taking.. I spent every morning and even sitting and enjoying the view.. I was so glad to be able to cook our own food here because I'm SUPER picky and everything is so expensive. The listing was exactly as stated on the site. The best part.....walking straight to the beach and the condo having EVERYTHING you need, umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, portable table, beach bag, towels, ice, you name it, they have it .... it was there! I honestly thought I had moved into my new summer home. It's just that comfortable. I really enjoyed the fact that the OWNERS stayed in touch with me prior, sent activities, and has a binder full of need to knows at the condo. This will definitely be my place to stay again on another visit. The price was much more reasonable than the high priced hotels, and it's very spacious. I complained about the parking rate until I found out... its THE CHEAPEST in the area 23 dollars a day vs 55.00 at the other parking areas. I loved everything about my stay here, and can't wait to go back. Thank you to the owners for a 5 star relaxing condo to enjoy my 25th 2nd Honeymoon!!!

The listing description and photos are accurate. The property is clean and well maintained. The owners and the property manager were all helpful. The Pink Plumeria is conveniently located and quiet for being so close to the marina and the rest of the hotel and shopping district. The view of sunsets, the Friday night fireworks and the activity in the marina is unforgettable. Parking in the garage for the week was $140 and easier than dealing with the public parking on the street or marina. Walk to the next block in front of the Ilikai Hotel and pick up the free Hilo Hattie shopping shuttle. The Marina Pub had decent food and prices but a quick drive out of the immediate area and there are tons of great local, non-chain, restaurants with very reasonable prices: Hailes Hawaiian, Chianam Thai on King Street are just two. Access to beach towels and chairs was a plus. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives.

February 2012
This is the second year in a row we have rented this great 1 bedroom condo for a month. We love this location on the quiet side of Waikiki beach and we love this unit with the most amazing harbour view and breathtaking sunsets. You can be as busy or as laid back as suits you. Oahu offers a wide variety of restaurants, fresh seafood and tropical fruit. Lots of historial sights/museums, beautiful beaches, places to get away from the crowds, sunshine and the ideal climate!!! Oahu is so graced with a healthy, peaceful and safe lifestyle. The owners have literally thought of everything and anything that you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The pictures are a true indication of what the condo is like and equally as important, the owners are pleasant to deal with and their courtesy and professionalism is second to none. We found the bus system great and used it all the time and believe it or not you can see the majority of the island by public transit. We love the Aloha Spirit and in a lifetime of travel we have never discovered a more beautiful community of people than on Ohau. We highly recommend this condo for your vacation and we hope to be fortunate enough to return again next year. Mahalo Rex and Erica for the privilege of sharing your home away from home. Jerry and Elinor

September 2011
Just spent 10 wonderful days at the Pink Plumeria. The condo was exactly what you see in the pictures, it was very clean and well equipped including beach chairs and towels! Erica and Rex were great to work with and Lila was there when I locked myself out of my unit, still with a smile on her face. The condo is within walking distance to everywhere and that is exactly what we did...walked everywhere! I would recommend this property and would love to stay there again.

December 2010
Great location overlooking the harbour. Central to Waikiki and the night life but quiet enough to get a good nights rest. Nice apartment with everything you need to live independently. Cool and quiet air conditioning. Cute lanai with great views of the harbour. Good spot for people watching. Can't really go wrong staying here. Excellent experience. We will be back!

October 2010
We've spent 10 days in Pink Plumeria and satisfied with our choice of accommodation in Hawaii. The unit is well maintained and has all amenities to make your holidays comfortable. The location of Marina building is very convenient: 7 minutes walk from the beach, next to ABC grocery store and few restaurants, 10 minutes walk from Ala Moana mall. On Friday night you can enjoy the fireworks from the lanai - the view is perfect. There are many other units in Waikiki which might sound similar, but what makes this unit special is the owners (Erica & Rex) and onsite property manager (Lila). Rex was very accommodating & flexible with our pre-arrival requests and late departure arrangements. Great & professional people to deal with with! We definitely recommend Pink Plumeria for staying in Honolulu.

August 2010
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pink Plumeria for 9 days. I cannot say enough about the location of the condo. It was perfect in every way ... spacious, comfortable, convenient and provided some of the most amazing views I had ever seen! We were within a 15 minute, very comfortable walk to the bustling Waikiki beachfront and still enjoyed some very quiet and peaceful nites. Its also walking distance to the Ala Moana shopping center if you are in the mood for some shopping. We rented a car and parking was not as expensive as I had expected. There is a public beach parking lot right across the street from the condo. We ended up paying $8 for a 12-hour period. We drove to the eastward beaches every day so $8 really did not seem like much. I would STRONGLY recommend staying at the Pink Plumeria to anyone looking for their perfect location. You will LOVE this place!!! I GUARANTEE IT. We certainly did!!

June 2010
Just arrived home back to Florida from a weeks stay at the Pink Plumeria in Waikiki. This was my first experience with VRBO, and can attest that this location and property is every bit and more than was expected. My (2) teens and myself set-out on a Family adventure and were very pleased with the acccomodations. If your looking for more than a hotel, then this is the place. Shopping, Restraurants, and convenient stores within walking distance. We loved so much, I wish I could ship my personal belongings and move in for good! All the comforts of home and more. We plan on returning as offen as possible.

April 2010
There’s something about the Pink Plumeria that left me feeling I had returned home, and that I was well taken care of. I suppose because trusting Rex and Erica had not made any financial compromises when they decorated, furnished and stocked the amenities into this condo. It was not long during my month’s visit that I started feeling as if I was one of Hawaii’s Trust Babies, the descendents of the plantation owners and shipping barons, or from the royal line of Kamehameha. Each morning I would look out the bedroom window or lanai beyond the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, and felt a sense of ownership to the vast Pacific Ocean. I used the binoculars to check out Waikiki Beach to the left, and Ala Moana Beach Park to the right. Which beach shall I go to? Shall I walk or drive? If I drove I walked a mere 40 steps to our car in the spacious and clean garage, without ever using an elevator. And, during my month’s stay I rarely saw other residents, perhaps only 3 times. How good is that? I retired late every night, about midnight, 1 AM or later, just to hear the silence along the shoreline and stare at the shimmering reflection of the Harbor lights on the calm waters as a soft breeze blew over me. I could have used the quiet air conditioner for the living room or bedroom, but I preferred creating a soft island breeze by carefully situating the floor fans and turning on the ceiling fan. You are returning home when you enter the Pink Plumeria so bring only your clothes and shoes; the condo has everything you need and more.

April 2010
Rex,Thank you for a fabulous stay at Waikiki in your condo! The condo has all of the comforts of home, and the view of the Marina is enchanting. We spent many hours sitting at the dining room table enjoying the view and watching the boats. You have thought of nearly everything in amenities. First, I was welcomed with fresh flowers on the table and a bowl of tropical fruit! I later discovered the condo was filled with quality accommodations. For example the refrigerator, blender, TV, stereo, towels, sheets, etc. were all top notch. We also really appreciated the ample number of dishes. It was very convenient to have the ABC store across the street so that we could dine in when we wanted to. We frequently truly enjoyed relaxing and being “at home”.Aside from resting in the condo, I found that it is perfectly situated for both attendance at the Convention Center and for enjoying the fun of Waikiki beach or the Ala Moana park. My conference at the Convention Center was about a 15 minute walk, which is about the shortest walk for any hotel/condo that boarders the ocean. We made the short 5 minute walk to Waikiki several times a day, and later discovered the beauty and calm beach at the Ala Moana park. Although so many things were within walking distance, we did appreciate the ability to park our rental car just steps away from the condo on the same floor. Finally, Lila was very pleasant to work with, and very welcoming! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the “Pink Plumeria”, and we hated to leave! Thanks again!

We had a great stay in Rex and Erica's condo. It was in a great location with fantastic views of the harbor as well as the beach. We could park the car and walk to most places. The condo is done so tastefully and kept very clean. Lila was available to answer any questions we had. We will definitely return to Oahu and wouldn't think of anywhere else to stay. It felt like home away from home! Thank you for being such great hosts.
