Reviewer Comments: You're a block away from the International Marketplace, which means that you can just walk out and find great places to eat, walk to the beach in 8 minutes, shop, and even park your rental for free. The room is clean and well maintained and I enjoyed my time here. Check in and check out is super easy and James is very responsive.

Bed was comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Great towel supply and bonus having the beach chairs and umbrellas. My only comments would be blockout curtains are badly needed as far too bright inside at night, fridge can be very loud so these things make it hard to sleep soundly at times. Kitchen light didn’t seem to work but the lamps sufficed. The cleaning, particularly the bathroom needs great improvement. Bathtub, shower doors in particular not clean upon arrival. Besides these few negatives I would stay here again. James was very helpful with access to the rental. Not owner or agency fault but always one elevator broken so long waits for lift.

Except for the limited height parking space, the this was a good stay for my 2nd Waikiki trip. Ask about parking space height restrictions. Easy in & out access with a rental car. Walking distance to everywhere to shop and eat. 24 hr McDonalds just around the corner. Bed was comfy. Full kitchen was functional. I mostly used the fridge, micro, cups, plates, & utensils. Flat screen tv fit my needs. Lanai has a nice view of the city. I liked the outside hallway view of the skyline and ocean. Excellent secure elevator access from garage and lobby to my floor with the elevator key fob. Departure instruction were straight forward, but don't leave the elevator key fob in the room because you can't use the elevator to go down without it. I brought it back downstairs and put it back in the locked mailbox.

I hadn't been to Honolulu since early 2019 butvery happy to be back. The apartment is confortable, the streets noisy as soon as you leave the windows open, but as Europeans I'm not a fan of air conditioning ! On the other hand, for us europeans, a small workbook containingcertain elements would be a plus : - the operation of the TV (personally I couldnot use it not understanding how the remote controls work.... - explanation on the use of the card for the use of the washing maching and how to recharge it and where Otherwise thank you to James for the efforts he made so that I coul park the car on the las evening. However, what I didn't like at all : - the fire alarms 2 evenings out of 5evenings in the apartment and frankly 20 floors on foot it's not nice especially when you see people who do not move from their apartment nor the 2 restaurants on the ground fllor !

It was very upsetting to arrive to unit that was supposed to be clean and welcoming, and found it dirty (soiled carpet) and smelly. We called the management right away and requested to have a clean place for our stay. We were pleased with how it was handled. We were moved to another unit in the same building in matter of minutes. Stayed there for 6 nights and for the remaining time it was suggested to us to move to studio in a different building . Both of these studios were beautiful and clean. While our experience with the unit we booked was bad, we were thankful and impressed how quickly the solution was found and we were able to enjoy our stay in Honolulu. Thank you Pedra, Byron and James for excellent customer service.

In speaking with the property owner he wasn't concerned with the cleanliness. Tried to make excuses. This was my second stay at Marine Surf, it's unlikely I'll be back.

Marine Surf 2008 has a great location and is value priced for Waikiki. Parking is included and it’s just steps to all the restaurants, stores, and beaches that Waikiki has to offer. The unit itself is a studio, and the kitchen offers flexibility for those that would like to make their own meals. The unit was clean but is showing some wear in the carpeting and bathroom. The lanai is a nice bonus and has city and (some) water views. Waikiki at night is a loud place and unfortunately this unit isn’t immune to the noise. Keep the A/C fan on high and it will help keep you cool and block out some of the urban noise. Marine Surf is a secure building with pool - highly recommended!

There is an outdoor nightblub close by that can be noisy up to about 10 p.m. When we had a small problem the staff were quick to respond and to deal with it. AS well we forgot an item and a call to James, the property manager resulted in him retrieving ti then shipping it to us the next day. Cannot ask for better customer service! 2 suggestions I would make are: include directions on how and where to add value to the laundry card. Second a small cooler would be handy for the beach.

We really enjoyed our vacation here! We loved the location, the security of the building, and the parking spot was a huge draw. Though if I could suggest one thing to make this stay even better, it's to add a mattress pad to the mattress. While it's not uncomfortable it doesn't have any padding or softness to it. That was the only thing I didn't enjoy about the room and preventing a 5 star. 4 1/2 if it was possible to rate it as so. I will definitely come back here again and will definitely look into this rental in the future! Thanks for the hospitality!

Good views of city lights at night and Fire works display from Hilton Hotel on Friday nights. Comfortable bed. Needs more tea towels in kitchen only had one for 10 days. The kitchen crockery is a miss match nothing matches, The carpet badly needs shampooing or new carpet or just tiles though out the room as it was shocking dirty (very dirty) Maybe in bathroom two extra towels for over longer stays would be good( I know no maid service) Outside patio needs to be checked for safety as bolts have been loosened on rail but there is other tight bolts that are fastened to side of building Just Check them please. Otherwise overall good place to stay for a holiday in Waikiki.

Awesome city view and partial ocean view from lanai and beautiful larger ocean view from floor hallway balcony. Studio was fully equipped and made us feel like locals. We absolutely loved and appreciated the free parking stall! It gave us the freedom to come and go as we pleased without worrying about extra parking fees. Only 2 minor complaints we had was a part of the shower drain was falling off and was secured with tape and air conditioner would slightly leak onto the lanai when used for long periods of time. Very minor and didn't ruin our vacation. Highly recommended! Will definitely return when we are back on Oahu.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'm very fond of Captain Cook's management team because of my recent experience with them. Although my SO visited a different site, we blind-chose Marine Surf 2008 and ended up with all the amenities we requested. I especially love that the kitchen was fully-stocked for me to cook almost everything I wanted (with paper towels, extra towels for dishes, mittens, ovenware, trash bags, wax paper). There was also an ironing board with boogie boards & a snorkel set for use! I hadn't gone to the beach this time so didn't have the chance to use them, but it was a wonderful perk. Everything was clean. The air conditioner worked great. The view was pleasant. The shower head had multiple settings. The only downside may be the huge bug in the pool. A few TV channels were a bit pixelated but nothing a visitor to Oahu for island fun wouldn't complain about. It is a little inconvenient to beep in and out of the elevator, but that itself made me feel a lot safer. Thank you so much for the parking spot as well :) I will definitely come back and stay in a larger complex, and recommend this to my friends.

We called from the airport & Paul was waiting for us to check in . The condo had everything we needed for our 2 week stay . Short walk to the beach , shopping & restaurant,s .
