The complex was very nice and the grounds workers were out every morning cleaning the pool, which was very impressive. It was our first time staying in Kihei and it was very enjoyable. We appreciated the location being closer to Kahului and the airport, although not as easy to visit with our daughter who lives in West Maui.

Enjoyed the stay. Unruly kids and parents at the pool. There was times I could not even get in. Property management needs to monitor the pool. Maintenance for the grounds does an amazing job. Beautiful sunsets.

Nice sized condo for our family of 4. Very comfortable beds. Could use a good overall dusting. The condo was fairly stocked with kitchen supplies but could use more plastic cups for pool area. Plenty of towels which was nice. Ground floor was great with close access to the pool. I would recommend blackout curtains for the living room for those sleeping on the pull out sofa. The lanai needs improvement, the carpet on the floor is coming up in areas and the AC unit in the above rental drips onto the lanai so you cant use half of the area as you get dripped on. When i informed the host they responded immediately and offered us a complimentary late checkout because of that which was greatly appreciated. Overall the resort is fantastic, beautiful grounds, great pool, excellent location to beaches, shops and restaurants. I would stay here again providing the lanai is fixed up.

Unit A117 was perfect for our family of four. The kids loved being able to walk out directly from the unit to the pool, grass and play areas. The ground floor location was so convenient and still had a nice view. The kitchen was well-stocked with things we needed. The unit was comfortable. The A/C in the living room works hard to cool the space, but loses to the afternoon heat. The bedroom A/C worked great. Overall, Maui Sunset is a great resort. The people (residents and guests) were very friendly. Our family/group had about 10 units in total as we were all there for a wedding. The management company was very accommodating. We arrived late due to a canceled flight, but Joe the security guy was very welcoming and kind. Highly recommend this unit and would stay here again!

Very nice condo with everything we needed. Very clean, had beach chairs, towels, and coolers for the beach, a washer and dryer, plenty of kitchen utensils and plates. The queen bed was so comfy. The kids said the pull out couch was comfy too. Beautiful views of the ocean and the pool was a very convenient distance away from the condo. 1-2 minute walk from the beach, but all on the very nice Maui Sunset property. The property is so well maintained. We are early birds and when i would be sitting on the lanai in the morning i could see them working every morning by the pool to make sure everything was beautiful for the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The condo and property are accurately portrayed on the site. The furniture was comfortable and the towels and linens plentiful. There is a great little washer and dryer and dishwasher, so it’s easy to keep things clean. The condo is quiet even though it is on the ground level, directly across from pool. Access is easy and the lawn and flowers are meticulously maintained. The rest of the grounds are very tidy with the pool, workout room, and spa being cleaned daily. I really thought all that was great. My concern- the rain drips on the rug which is coming unglued from the cement on the patio. There is mildew and Cockroaches were spotted coming and going from there and my friend wouldn’t sit on the porch because of that. That didn’t bother me, but the mildew in the ac filter on the porch ddid. I slept in the living room and couldn’t turn on that fan because of the smell and spores that would be spread. Also, the wicker on the living room tables had dust and cobwebs so thick I needed a wet cloth to dig it out. In spite of these things, however, if you can do your own spiffing up, there is not a condo in Kihei this cheap on such a well managed property.

We had a lovely time. This ground floor unit is a perfect spot. It is located very close to the pool and we had other family members who stayed at Maui sunset in different units and this one is a great spot in between all of them. Definitely would stay again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful week. The ground floor unit was perfect for our kids and we loved the beautiful ocean view. My son is now obsessed with shuffle board! We loved how easy it was to borrow the lawn games. We saw so many turtles on the beach in front of the condo. Go left and around the point at sunrise or sunset for perfect turtle viewing. We saw 18 one night! It would be great if the unit had more sand toys or a boogie board but the chairs, umbrellas, and cooler bags were great! The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. We would absolutely stay here again!

Good central location, easy access to restaurants and shops, the grounds were well kept, staff friendly, place was good and clean. Plenty of beach toys like chairs and umbrella and water toys. The pool was big, warm and well maintained. Lots of people used it through out the day. Beach looked beautiful but not that inviting to swim in as others on Maui (lava rocks on the beach and in the shallows, lots of broken shells unlike other beaches so really need water shoes, not a great place to snorkel. No complaints though about the building or experience. Easy to check in and out. I would stay again. Make sure to check the total cost of staying and don't rely on the "per night" rate. The room rate is low but the fees add a significant amount to the overall stay. I thought it was a fair overall price.

We had a great stay in this unit! The resort is beautiful and great location right. We enjoyed the convenience of this ground floor unit and proximity to the pool. The condo is well stocked with anything we could have needed and more. Hoping to return in the future and would love to see this condo freshened up with updates that some of the other units at this resort have done. Did not take away from our great stay!

The condo was adequate, no frills. Ground floor was nice, a bit noisy in the mornings early with foot traffic in the breezeway. We found a dead cockroach under the couch, but no other ones, thank goodness. We had no running water our last day, I had paid for an extra night because we had a late flight, so we had a beach day, left with no water in the AM, thought it would be fixed by the late afternoon when we wanted to get ready to go home, but it wasn't back on until 5, we had to depart at 6:30 for the airport. Very thankful that i did get turned on in time, we were cold showering it at the pool. Also, loose nail that my husband snagged his foot on on the master bath. Needs some repairs and update.

While this unit could use a coat of paint and some minor repairs, the lanai and oceanfront location are simply outstanding. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the ability to watch both the sunrise and the sunset from the lanai can’t be matched. Overall, definitely recommend and would return another time.

The ground floor, by the pool area, location was fabulous. I would choose to stay there again just for that. Anything and everything you can need for the beach was in the closet for guests use. Bedroom needed a good cleaning. It was apparent that upgrades are in the works. The property as a whole is beautiful, well kept and one of our favorite locations.

Family oriented vacation for 3, property in relative good condition after previous visit 14 years ago in another unit. Price was relatively high but isn’t everything on Maui that way. Gecko was able to sneak under the a/c and enter the room on the ground floor after catching it and then releasing it outside. Not a big issue since we have them in Tucson.

Everything was great... from the location, check in process, to the amenities. The pool was always busy (family style), they had live music one night which was cool, super close to the beach, where we would swim and walk. Proximity to good food is fabulous. Bed was super comfy. The bathrooms were a bit small but having 2 of them was convenient. The kitchen and amenities were well stocked. Would recommend for a couple, but be informed of lots of kids in the surrounding area.

This condo is just as expected based on the listing. The location of the condo is conveniently located near the pool and shuffleboards and close to the tennis courts and the beach. The walk-out garden level was great for our young kids; they could easily join their friends outside to play. The property manager was quick to respond to my inquiries prior to arrival. The condo did include 2 beach chairs, 2 bag coolers, and 2 boogie boards, which came in handy. The only con was I found it hard to access the refrigerator based on the way the door opened. Overall, it was a very satisfactory experience and I would recommend this condo and rent again.

Maui Sunset was a beautiful location. The facilities were great and you are close to lots of areas. We did drive to other beaches as this one was a bit rocky, but it was still beautiful with lots of turtles and sunsets were outstanding. We enjoyed our meals with friends on the large patio table (very important) with lots of chairs available. The suite had chairs for the beach, a snorkel set and an extra pair of fins. Also their cooler bag came in very handy. The location of the place was perfect, very close to the end of the building and close to the pool. The carpet was outdated, and the place could use a new paint job, but other than that it was very well stocked, comfortable and we would for sure recommend this suite, this building and Maui of course :) Thanks for a fun stay, it was a much needed 10 days in Maui. Thank you to our host for the quick response to our questions and requests. You are very much appreciated!

Wonderful huge blocks-long, vivid green lawns, great pool, fun beach…even several outdoor shuffle board areas plus tennis courts. And just five-ten minute walk to shops and restaurants. Plus incredible sunsets at the beach!

I really enjoyed my stay here and would certainly stay again. The pictures were accurate, the location was fantastic, and the pool and easy access to the beach were amazing. The facility is also only a short walk away from stores and the supermarket which was fantastic! The only complaint that I had was that the sofa bed was not great/very comfortable. The regular bed in the master was great, it's just that the sofa bed was a bit of a letdown. I would still stay there again in a heartbeat but I do recommend the owner think about replacing the sofa bed mattress. Other than that, I loved my stay!

We had a group of 9 total with 2 other condos rented. This condo was great being on the ground floor, direct path to the pool. We used our condo as a gathering place for all of us to enjoy dinner together after cooking out (grills are close by). There was plenty of serving dishes/silverware for all of us which is a plus considering many condos only have service for 4-6 when you have a 1B condo. Any questions were answered very quickly. Description and photos are spot on. Thank you for making it a great vaca!
