Stayed for a week, the condo was nice and clean. It had everything we needed. Bed was nice and comfortable. Having the nice quiet A/C unit was great to take the edge off the temperature after spending the day at the beach or shopping outside. Most attractions were very close nothing really more than a few miles away from diamond head to Pearl Harbor. North Shore was about a 30 minute car ride away. There is a Dollar rent a car in the lobby of the hotel or a Jeep rental place a block away. The condo has an open floor plan of a studio of about 600 sq. ft. which is large for a beach condo.

We had a wonderful time in Waikiki! Gary’s condo was very nice and the bed was super comfortable! We had a nice view of both the marina, the downtown buildings in the surrounding mountains from the lanai, close to the beach and all key places that you can walk to. Would come back again!

It was our first time in Oahu and the other reviews didn't lie. The location of this gem was perfect. It was located directly next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for all sorts of shopping and restaurants, within walking distance to a quaint local grocery store, and our kiddos loved Daves Ice Cream that is on property as well! Would love to make it back some day

I spent 2 weeks on this condo and it was a great place to stay. It’s centrally located and a quick walk to the Ala Moana Harbor and Shopping mall and so many other points of interest. Everything activity I engaged was a relatively quick walk to get to from the condo location.
The hotel in which the condo is located was wonderful. There is a market, coffee shop, full service restaurant, ice cream shop, and poke restaurant all onsite. Having these business on site was amazing. I was always able to grab some food or pick up things like allergy meds from the market. There is also a laundry room, so I was able to do all my laundry before heading home.
Additionally, there was very little noise outside the condo or in the hallways. I was always able to get a nice restful sleep every night compared to my experiences in other major cities like New Orleans where thing can be loud and rowdy all night long.
I sleep on an adjustable bed with me with a memory foam mattress back home and feared a regular mattress was going to be hellish to sleep on. The bed was extremely comfortable!
I really enjoyed my stay in this condo. Gary was wonderful to work with. I highly recommended staying here if you’re a solo traveler. My only recommendation would be to install power strips with USB A & C ports. I travel with lots of gadgets and would have loved to have been able to plug in via USB in addition to tradition plug in chargers.

I carefully selected this property according to our needs. It certainly lived up to what was promised. The pictures on line do not do it justice. We loved the open air lobby from front to back and all its amenities;. Free hula show Fridays, Hilton fireworks next door on Fridays, dance band on Sundays! Heated swimming pool! Plus an open air restaurant with ocean views, or just hanging out playing cards or gazing at spectacular sunsets. Ocean was much closer than expected. The property had all amenities of a full service hotel without being a mega giant; Bus stop is in front, lots of shopping and church nearby, tour desk inside. Just do it,

We love this condo. The furnishings are beautiful. The kitchen cupboards are well stocked with pots, pans, silverware, dishes, etc. also cooking oil, spices, some boxed food. The linens are clean and soft. There is a fabric steamer (we left for others to use) there are beach things to use like a beach chair, umbrella, etc. We highly recommend this condo.

This was a great stay for me and my wife, lots of open space, clean and close to Hilton Hawaiian village and shops. We got to watch fireworks on Friday right off the back of property facing the harbor. Owner is very kind, helpful and communicative. Our only complaint was the loud traffic at times and sirens but that is most of Waikiki and not at fault of property.
We enjoyed walking to the beach and to restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable and room was cool. Unit is nicely furnished with cookware and some fridge items. Overall would recommend! Two pools were also very nice and an ice cream shop downstairs!

This rental was in an ideal location for beach access and R&R. It was easy to catch buses, get to the beach and even to see the Friday night fireworks which was nextdoor.
This property provided you with beach chair, umbrella, a boogie board and a couple of inflatables. Nice!
The fridge and pantry had condiments and other things you could use instead of buying. We recommend this property for your next Waikiki adventure.

We needed to be close to another hotel where the rest of our party was staying. Finding this condo really made our stay so much better. While the rest of our party had a typical hotel room with 2 beds and a tiny refrigerator, we had a home to come back to nightly. Very pleasant stay. The owner is top notch. We emailed back and forth as if we were old friends. Very responsive. Excellent stay overall.

My daughter was doing a summer camp at Hawaii Yacht Club and this was the perfect location! We walked to camp every day alongside the boats, had fun at Waikiki beach, swam at the pool and loved the studio apartment. Thank you- we will be back next Summer for 2 weeks!

The location is well situated, close to Waikiki and numerous local sites. The Ilikia is an old well-known location (think original Hawaii 5.O) on busy Ala Moana. The condo is small, but comfortable (note, it is a studio, not a 1 bedroom) with wonderful views from the lanai (balcony). It's in a bustling area with heavy traffic and can get quite noisy from tourists and late night party-goers. There is a bus stop right in front of the building. The owner, Gary, was easy to work with and quick to respond. The kitchen was well equipped, but if you enjoy cooking, you'll find the cookware a bit lacking. Everything is functional, the condo was probably renovated sometime within the past decade. The bathroom could use more hooks and towel racks. It would also be beneficial to be able to connect your phone or tablet to a sound system, a necessary upgrade. If you're looking for a good location for a reasonable rate, this condo is good place to have your Oahu getaway.

We had a very nice stay - was somewhat disappointed at the noise from the traffic from the street. Check in was difficult . I had trouble with lock box - couldn't see the numbers - bad lighting. Security came and helped.

We were very comfortable here. The bed was really comfy and we enjoyed the large space which we would not have had with a standard hotel room. Although the street traffic was a little loud on the lanaii we were glad to be on the cool side where the sun doesn’t beat down. Could not check in with app. Kept saying something went wrong.. Checked in with Gary who was always responsive, accommodating and helpful. Unit is clean and has all the amenities. Beautiful terrace with amazing city view. Ala Moana center is 1/2 walk away- shopping, food ( Foodland grocery store) and entertainment. Cinnamons restaurant in the complex is in the complex. Be prepared to wait an hour- it’s that good!

This is a very nice property with a great location. So much in walking distance. Dave's Ice Cream right on the property is excellent. The property is very clean. Gary the property manager was so easy to work with and responded quickly. The condo unit had pretty much everything we needed. Was in very good condition & a good air conditioning unit. My only issue with this property was the mattress. It was sagging in the middle which was apparent upon looking at it. If you are not use to this you may not have a good night sleep. Other than that the unit was great.

The property was beautiful, clean and very close to the beach. The best part was the hotel’s restaurant. Cinnamon restaurant was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Decent prices, excellent staff.
The hotel was close to good shopping and other restaurants as well. We took some tours while we were there and they would pick us up close to the hotel, another plus.
We needed a late checkout, which Gary was able to help us out with a standard fee, putting us totally at ease.
We only ended up using the kitchen for some breakfasts (eggs, cereal, bagels, etc.) but it was great to have that. My husband was glad they had a toaster for his bagels. We would totally use this location again!

My daughter and I stayed here and we enjoyed our stay overall. The sliding door needs some tlc, and there was not a separate can for recycling. Other than that we were pleased with the location, and Gary answered my emails in a timely manner. Daves Ice Cream on the main floor is the best ice cream on Oahu.

Just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at Maureen and Fijays' condo at the Ilikai in Waikiki. Prior to my arrival, the hosts were great about providing tips for my visit along with being certain that I had everything I needed for access, emergencies, etc. So even before I arrived, I already felt welcome and comfortable. The location as mentioned in previous reviews, is outstanding. Shopping, sightseeing, beaches, parks all all right outside your door. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is right next door with great entertainment, restaurants and fireworks on Fridays. The lagoon, located right behind the Ilikai is a perfect spot for getting a little sun or for a quiet evening stroll. The condo comes fully equipped and provides a beautiful city lights view from inside the condo as well as on the spacious balcony. Highly recommend!

Thanks again for getting us into this condo for the 10 days we were there. Great location, close to everything, waikiki beach is just behind the hotel, lots of restaurants close by, 5 minute walk to Ala Moana Mall, car rental(Alamo) right across the street. This condo is in a GREAT location. We were traveling with our 6 month old and it was really convenient being so close to the beach and Hilton lagoon in case we had to go back for a nap or feeding. Shopping is within walking distance as well as Ala Moana Park and beach. Can't beat the location for the price. The condo has a full kitchen which is also nice to save money on some meals. There's a great, huge flat screen and dvd player which also came in handy for the baby. Maureen is a pleasure to deal with and I recommend this property!

We particularly enjoyed this condo. The central location and easy to go everywhere. There are also some good restaurants within walking distance. We have never used the AC, the breezes were enough to keep it cool. It was clean and had everything we needed Owner was very easy to deal with and quick to reply to emails and questions. My wife and I spent 8 wonderful days at this Condo. The location is very near Ala Moana, and an easy walk to a ocean lagoon where my wife swam with her family as a child. The Ilikai has good food and a nice bar with live entertainment most nights right downstairs. You can also walk right next door to the Edition Hotel and Morimoto Waikiki and eat the cuisine of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto - truly a gourmet experience! We recommend this place.

I enjoyed my stay in this suite -- however i found the kitchen appliances/dishes and laminate counter tops old and scratched up /unclean and outdated . Some of the pots and pans were terrible along with with dirty cutting boards.took me an hour plus to get it up to decent standard of cleanliness etc Also it is not 1 bedroomed at all .There is just 1 huge drape separating living room and sleeping area.Electronic stuff was great.We also had a problem with the phone and i am sad to say Fijay and maureen were not to helpful about this.Phone no and info displayed were all incorrect and it took some research to find out what the phone no actually was and which phone provider. I eventually called a no and asked if they had call display to find out our phone no !! A big hassle because we actually needed to be able to receive calls for messages but it took us a day or 2 to find it ??.The suite is in a very convenient location just behind the Hilton .Lots of restaurants,shops,good bus service and car rental agency in the Discovery centre opposite.Biggest mall on the island is 5 mins by bus and 20 minute walk.

We just spent 2 glorious weeks in Hawaii and had a wonderful time. We were lucky to be able to get the condo on short notice and it was a great vacation. In all our dealings with Maureen and Fijay everything was done quickly and professionally. Every email was answered promptly even when they were in Spain and Portugal. The condo was everything we could have wanted and the kitchen was well stocked. The king bed and pull out couch were very comfortable. We bought bus passes and went everywhere by bus which stopped right outside the door. Although internet is not provided Maureen gave us the name of somebody who rents wireless service by the week and we got that and it was fine. We walked to the Ala Moana Mall often and shopped for groceries at the Walmart just 1 block from the mall and then took a cab back to the condo with our groceries. We definitely recommend this condo to anyone and even though we have never stayed at this end of Waikiki before it is now our preference and hope to return. Thanks Maureen and Fijay.

First, the owners are great and have been very helpful from the first email we sent inquiring about this rental. Second, the price is quite affordable, especially now that we've seen the location. Third, the location is very convenient; close to the beach, close to shopping, close to quite a few well known places to eat, basically close to EVERYTHING! Fourth, the condo comes with everything you could possibly need to make your own meals, way more than just the kitchen basics (which is a total bonus for anybody who wants to save some money enjoying their own meals!).

First of all I would like to thank you for renting me your lovely suite in Hawaii. AT first I was kind of sad, I thought that if I was going to Hawaii on vacation I would like to have a nice "ocean view suite" but when I talked to Fijay on the phone and with all the information that Fijay gave me and his sincerity, I said to myself, just take that suite, and the owner is a Canadian like me ...:) and he sounds so nice and honest. Since I have rent another ocean view suite and all of my other friend that came along with us got a "ocean view suite" , they kind of making fun of me having a "city view suite" , but I was amazed from the minute that I opened that 1723 suite facing the city at 9 PM. The view, wowowow that view....is breathtaking!!!!
At the beginning I was telling myself that since I brought my parents along to celebrate their 40st wedding anniversary, I will give them the nicer room & view, which is the "ocean view room" but I end up getting nicer room and view. Above all is the easy access to the room. After a long flight, I don't need to wait for the property manager to come and open the door. We just go directly to the room. I really like the concept of the lock. The room was very clean and everything was there, it was very convenient I fell just like at home.
My parents and friends came up to the room and they love it. The nice view, morning and especially at night, with the nice plasma TV and with all the gadget that came along ( ipod stand, surround sound system...and easy access to the internet, my friends got so much problem getting into the internet from their room).I like the divider in the room for privacy. Since I have seen 3 other room in the Ilikai. This room is good for a couple or even better for people that tavel with kids. This is a very clean room, compare to other room in the same hotel, the other room may look nice at first , but you can find some bugs, I did not find a bug in the 1723. The location is really good. You can easily find food right there. walking distance to everywhere. The best of all is I can reach the owner anytime, Fijay is really good at returning call, and help with anything. Sometime people think that is easier to get intouch with a property manager that lives in Hawaii, which is sometime not the case. I got into bit of a problem with the ocean view suite, we came there at 9 PM with no airconditionning, I have to call the property manager that never return my call, and finally I got it fixed by 5 PM
