This was hands down the very best property we have ever stayed at. The unit had beautiful furniture and was very spacious and open, with a fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The proximity to so many restaurants and shops was also a huge plus. We just wish we could have stayed here longer, but we decided to island hop (for the sake of our children, who had not been to Hawaii before)- next time we would definitely look to stay on the Big Island for a longer period of time and try to stay at this condo. Kerrie was extremely prompt about communication, even notifying us on the day of our arrival that the previous guest had accidentally broken the shower handle and that a maintenance person had found a temporary fix while awaiting a new shower handle. Would definitely recommend this listing again and again.

Agree with other positive reviews - this condo is very comfortable, spacious, clean and peaceful. Breakfast on the lanai each morning was the perfect way to start each day. Thank you for the welcome basket! We also made good use of the chaise lounges. We had the pool to ourselves. Our family of 3 (2 adults, 1 teen) had such a great time exploring this side of the Big Island with this as our home base. Thank you!

This was a great 3 day getaway for my family of 3. We enjoyed the extra amenities (puzzles!) and yummy welcome/fruit basket. Rooms are spacious and private, lanai was a nice escape in the mornings. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and quick breakfast options nearby.
Kerrie was very helpful with a few questions I had during my stay and also quickly responsive to an unexpected maintenance issue during our stay. Would very much like to come back and stay longer!

Overall it was nice, the snorkeling equipment should have been rinsed by the previous users, it was not.
Sufficient kitchen supplies. Guest bedroom bed should be replaced, and the overhead fan light needs replacement.

The condo was clean & spacious. I thought it would feel small but it wasn’t at all. Love having breakfast on the patio or Lani. You may see a big or two but we’re in Hawaii and that’s expected!
The unit has air conditioning, a washer & dryer and a fairly stocked kitchen with the essentials for everything. A special bonus was the owner provided fresh fruit and some water as a sweet gesture of hospitality that we appreciated. Having breakfast with that sweet delicious pineapple and oranges was great. Super thought of the owner They also provide beach chairs, towels and toys for the kids.
The grounds were quiet and very green. It’s located near the Marriott and Hilton. The area has some clothing shops if you want to go shopping. There is a marketplace to go to for food. The island gourmet store was perfect for the later night food cravings.
We were on the Big Island for my son’s graduation in Hilo. This location was perfect for the post celebratory activities- the beaches! My favorite being Hapuna Beach. The proximity to it was also very good - about 10 miles.
Overall this was a wonderful unit. We’d definitely come back again.

We had a great stay and this condo was perfect for our family of 4. The Lanai was very relaxing with great views of the mountains and ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed for a few meals at home, the beach toys and chairs came in handy, and the location was perfect with beaches, shopping, and resorts all within 5min. The welcome basket with fresh fruit and snacks was very thoughtful and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Overall a great place to stay and we look forward to coming back and staying here again.

We have been coming to Island of Hawaii the last 6 years for the month of January and this is the best location on the island for us. We love to go to the beaches, gym, hike and eat. I will some year add biking.
I like to cook and the kitchen supplies did not disappoint. The spices, teas, plastic wrap and bags, pans, storage containers, and the welcome basket was so thoughtful.
The 2 bathrooms had full bottles of body, hair wash and conditioner.
Beach towels and Tommy Bahama chairs for Hapuna and Mauna Kea beach.
We will definitely stay at this unit again. My husband loves the gym and the pool. Just walk out the door and it’s there.

Wow! We had an amazing time and this condo did not disappoint. It was stocked with so many things that we didn’t have to buy much else other than our food for the week. My only complaint if I had one would be that the floors throughout the whole condo need a very good cleaning. There was a sign as you walk in the front door to take your shoes off so we did. Our feet were black after walking around inside just after a little bit. Everything else was perfect. The floors just need some extra attention. The rest of the place was incredibly clean!

We normally stay in Waikoloa during our visits, but this was the first time staying at The Shores. The property is beautifully maintained and everyone was so friendly. This condo was absolutely beautiful. The furnishings were very well maintained and the wood flooring looked brand new. It has a large lanai with a perfect view of Mauna Kea to the right and the ocean to the left while facing a turn in the golf course. We briefly met the property manager upon arrival and she was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay at this property again on a future visit! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your home!!!

We travel to Hawaii every year going to different islands and we stay in condos. This condo provided everything. The kitchen is well equipped, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach towels we’re provided. It was nice not having to buy laundry detergent. The kitchen cabinet had spices that we would normally have to buy. Not sure if it’s a “Take some, leave some” practice. The AC worked great!

Our first trip to the Big Island for a family vacation was great. Our host, Kerrie, was very organized and gave us our check in /out instructions and a lot of other valuable info when we needed it. The condo was in a great location and was well stocked with things we'd need during our stay. The kitchen was especially well stocked for small things that you wouldn't want to buy, but we were pleasantly surprised that most things we needed were in the cupboards. Our 'Best' surprise was the 2 flashlights in the living room drawers that we used when walking to the crater at Volcanoes National Park at night to see the lava glow in the crater. The guest book was also good to review and see if you wanted to try anything that you didn't know about or read before you came to the condo. Snorkel and beach gear in the outdoor closet was great, but some of it was 'well used.' Thanks Kerrie for a great 1st visit to Hawai'i.

Our stay COULDNT have been more fabulous. From the early check in to the late check out they provided us. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as body boards snorkels JUST EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED. All we had to do was bring our own food and show up!!! Definitely staying here again!

The property is nice and quiet except the upstairs neighbors had heavy feet and you are close to neighbor balcony. Can see golfers teeing if and the lava is pretty to view. Had amenities we didn’t use and the bathrooms are dated but functional. The AC has a weird usability and the blower in the second bedroom is directly on your face while you sleep. We finally just turned it off the last night and we slept well in both bedrooms.

Loved the wild and semi wild life in the area. The property was spacious for two. Most of the comforts of home but w sunshine. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend the walk to the beach and discoveries walking both N and S. Try the Mauna Lani food land farm grocery. East of Waimea seemed pretty cloudy. Waikoloa Pizza was the best low key option in town.

Location was great near many restaurants and shops. Condo itself was nice enough, nothing fancy or extraordinary. The pool was under maintenance. And the condo itself could have been better stocked (no coffee, empty tissue boxes). Overall, it was a good place to stay if you are going to spend most of your day outside.

I read a lot of reviews before booking this condo. In short, my family & I enjoyed this condo & the attention to detail!! Kerrie was wonderful & was very prompt with her responses. We had fresh fruit & Hawaiian candy waiting for us at our arrival (such a thoughtful gesture). It was an easy contactless checking, great for us as we arrived very late at night. I was pleased to find the kitchen fully stocked as we used it often. We enjoyed the beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, umbrella, & all that you will need for a beach day. Will definitely book again!

The beach was a 5 minute drive away easy to get to and fun saw 5 sea turtles in one day there. The condo was clean and comfortable. The service was great. We had to stay in Phonix an extra day to wait for COVID test to come in. The property manager moved us by a day without a charge. That in itself was amazing.

This was our second time staying at this Shores condo and we're hoping for a three-peat in 2020. The unit has everything you could possibly need - from the very well-appointed kitchen, two gorgeous bedrooms, beautiful living room and huge lanai with a closet full of beach gear. Easy walking to shops, restaurants, the beach and the Disney-like Hilton resort. The property manager, Kerrie, is wonderful to work with and goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. We will be back.

We had a WONDERFUL trip to Hawaii and this condo served as the perfect 'home base' for us 4 adults (2 couples). My husband had a medical conference at the Hilton which was only about a 5 minute walk for him. The location is amazing and close to shops, restaurants, the beach, and anything else in the Waikaloa area. Kona is only about a 20 minute drive down the road for Costco (gas and groceries!) and more food options. The condo itself was spotless and stocked completely with anything we could have needed. We enjoyed the boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and mats provided and that saved us money and made our days at the beach wonderful! The condo is so spacious and the bedrooms and bathrooms are as well equipped as the kitchen! Wifi, cable, netflix, the washer and dryer, detergent and dryer sheets, even shampoo and conditioner, spices, this condo is the best vacation rental we've ever used! Kerrie was a gracious and helpful host and easily reached as well. A+++ rental and trip!

Mornings on the lanai with coffee. Nice area to jog or go for a walk later. Lay out by the pool late morning early. Local shops. Condo had a great assortment of beach chairs, boogey boards, beach bags, beach towels and a cooler for afternoon trip to local beaches. Nice restaurants near by. Lava Lava Beach Club for sea shore dinner and sunset. Also grills available if want dinner at the condos. My family had a wonderful experience here and look forward to coming back.

We loved our stay at this AWESOME condo rental. The interior is spacious and well equipped to handle 2 couple with lots of privacy in two separate bedrooms. Each bedroom has it's own private bath and plenty of storage space for all the vacation gear. The furnishings are all in an elegant Hawaiian style to accent the flavor of the islands. Everything is VERY well maintained and a pleasure to stay in such lovely interior surroundings. The kitchen with granite countertops and has plenty of space to make gourmet or easy fix meals - all completely stocked with good quality serving and cooking ware. The on grounds BBQ's are conveniently located to make grilling an easy treat. The pool has just been refinished and we are looking forward to a return visit to enjoy the upgrade. The grounds are VERY well groomed with daily upkeep service to make your stay in paradise truly that! The location of the condo complex is close to all the action in Waikoloa area and has many walking trails heading in lots of directions to enjoy the community and beaches - with our without your vehicle. The Queens and Kings shops are close enough for supplies and great restaurants. We loved our stay and look forward to returning to the luxury this unit offers. We have stayed outside of Kona on the south end many times - but we are now won over to the north shore beaches and this perfect condo and it's location!

We have vacationed on the Big Island for the past 16 years, renting various condos over the years. This place is by far the best we have discovered!!! The location is wonderful, close to the best beaches on the island and within walking distance of multiple restaurants, shopping and local flavor. The condo is beautifully decorated, CLEAN, very roomy, the beds are super comfy, kitchen is stocked with all you would need to cook a gourmet meal. There are lots of extra amenities such as boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear and beach towels. Spent a lot of time on the lanai just enjoying the view & warm trade winds. The owners were super easy to work with and you really get the feeling of "home away from home" at their place. We already booked our vacation there for next year!!! Love this place!!!! Highly recommend it!
